White Knoll Pet Resort, Day Spa and Aquatic Center

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE TO BE BOARDED! YOU WILL BE SORRY LIKE I AM!

I made a reservation for my 2 large dogs in February to be boarded here April 8th - 16th. I was quoted $490 for a week's stay in a suite.

I dropped my babies off that morning. When bringing in their beds I was led back to them. They were in a 3 x 5 kennel, definitely not a suite. I remained in their lobby for almost an hour until the manager moved them into a suite. I literally cried to her and begged her not to move them back into the tiny kennel.

I had prepackaged every meal for both dogs and brought toys. I asked a family friend to pick them up a day early because I missed them so much. Upon arrival he was handed both dogs at once (these are 2 large, strong dogs), he was given both their beds soaked in urine, and a bag which contained all their food bags including one set of bags that had been fed (see picture). Neither dog had been given their complimentary bath that I was told by the manager that was to have been completed before picking them up.

Both dogs lost a considerable amount of weight in 7 days. Their harnesses are very loose in comparison to the day I dropped them at this facility. The owner admitted to Animal Control they had not been fed for days.

I was still on the road so I called to make payment for their stay when they were being picked up. Lexi, the VERY RUDE receptionist, told me I owed $790. I was flabbergasted! I explained I was quoted $490 and it should be less because they were being picked up a day early. Needless to say I told her I was calling the manager to discuss this. The manager would not answer the phone nor would she respond to my text messages about the way my dogs had been treated.

So.this morning (4/17/23) I got a call from the owner, Kevin Johnson. He wanted to know why I hadn't paid my bill. I tried to explain everything to him but his only concern was payment. He said I signed a contract and he was going to "persecute" me. I told him I'd gladly see him in court! My dogs were treated so badly I cannot wait to show a judge all they did wrong to my babies. They should be shut down for neglect!

These are all true facts. Wish someone would inform Kevin what the definition of slander is lol! He admitted to Animal Control that my dogs were not fed for "days", that they did return my dogs & their bedding covered in urine, and were not given their complimentary baths. How is that a "glowing" report?

$40 a day for "daycare" or what they call day boarding and group play is a little steep.

Love the walk in dog nail trimming/buffing service. Usually a short wait, out in about 15-20 minutes.

You cannot go wrong bringing your babies here! The staff are the epitome of customer service, kindness, compassion, and love.

Just got my 6 month old poodle haircut today her face wasn't even done it cost me $75.00! Her face is a mess. I will dispute this with my credit card comp. I ASKED for SUMMER haircut! Does this look summer? Back doesn't look touched. I'm taking her to another groomer that will do the job asked and won't cost a ridiculous price.
UPDATE took my poodle GiGi to Lindsay's professional pet grooming. She did what I asked cheaper than White Knoll pet resort and didn't have problem with my dog would highly recommend.

I've had 3 dogs that have loved this place and 2 of them were German shepherds. All of my dogs love when they get to come here for the resort and do well when they get groomed as well.

I always bring my fur babies here for baths, and vet care. Both my babies love it here, and are treated great. The staff is friendly, great and fabulous!

We take our golden to see Sarah C.every other month for a bath and some TLC and she’s always so clean and fluffy afterwards!

Overall friendly staff and dog came back alive. Didn’t get any updates the entire weekend AND they didn’t give us her bag back that was dropped off with our dog. Lost the bag and her toy. Never again.

Homophobia takes many forms. Sometimes, it takes the form of an overweight white "man" in charge of interviews. ️

My animals always have a wonderful time at WKPR and I know they are well loved and taken care while I am away!

Watch what the pet resort charges. Apparently they can charge more than what they have on the form they have you fill out. Nail trim is $12 and charged me $17. I was told prices went up for walk-in because it's last minute
Their website states nail trim is walk-in.
I've never been charged more than what the price list says until today. Update your form and website before charging more

Had my dogs nail trim and they do not like for their paws to be held. Groomers Karen and Haley were wonderful with them and the lady at check out was awesome too.

My puppies absolutely go nuts for this place. As soon as I pull in the parking lot, they start smiling and are ready to go in. I know they are in good hands.

Maximus; my German shepherd had his first Grooming at WKPR. They gave a bath, trim nails, deshed, etc.the works!
Maximus had a great experience.
We usually took care of baths at home, but he's becoming a big dog, more Fur so we decided call the Resort. Maximus looks intimidating to some, other places denied him due to his size, thought his breed was intimidating or aggressive. Maximus is not that dog, he was trained to be Kind, obedient.
I was told he did well, the Staff didn't run out crying with bites or stratches. LOL.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my groomer, Samantha. She has been my dog Chloe's groomer since she was 10 weeks old. She was the very first groomer Chloe ever had. She was very professional, sweet and Chloe loves her! She treats my baby as if she is was her own puppy. My sweet Chloe is almost 3 years old and refuses to allow any other groomer to touch her. I would never use a different groomer! Samantha was at a different company prior to her employment at White Knoll Grooming and Chloe went to her there! I can not say all the AMAZING things about Samantha, the way she treats my baby, and the amazing grooming job she does EVERYTIME! She is always able to accommodate my schedule and is always more than willing to fit Chloe in to be groomed, even in last minute situations. I wouldn't choose any other groomer. I love Samantha, and I love White Knoll Grooming!

Gator seemed to have had a great first time at the resort. He was very "Plumb wore out. Staff was very friendly and loved Gator. We will be back!

Even though the staff was very informative and helpful when I walked in the receptionist was very rude. When I asked her a few questions about boarding she looked very annoyed like I was bothering her and her answers were brief.

Sarah Chmiel has been cutting Parker's nail for 2 yrs she takes time with him he has anxiety and he loves her. I get nervous if shes not there I hope she plans on staying she would be missed.

Up until today this place would’ve gotten 5 stars. The employees are amazing, but unfortunately, the owner is the farthest thing from that. My dog has been coming here for almost 2 years, and the employees have always been super helpful in working with him. Today, though, I was told my dog was “no longer allowed to come back unless he was cleared by a specific trainer” because he got in a fight with the owner’s dog, Salty, who “clearly started it to begin with. ” The owner never called me or was even present when I came to pick him up, and from what I was told, this dog has had issues with other dogs in the past. My dog has never had problems fighting with other dogs, which lets me know it wasn’t my dog who started the fight to begin with. Another issue I had which I never brought up because I guess I’m too forgiving, is both of my dogs are kennel cough vaccinated, and a couple months ago, my dog came home with kennel cough and gave it to my other dog. One of their exams was covered, but I had to pay over $400 for the other’s exam/both of their meds. Like I said, I pushed that under the rug, because I love the staff at the resort, and my pup loves going there to see his “friends. ” From this, both the resort and hospital have lost my business.

Always love coming to this place and Zoe loves it. The girls are always friendly and call immediately if anything happens. Zoe also loves their pool out front, we didn't know she could swim until she came here.

Took my dogs in for the first time today. I’m very impressed with the service and the great job they did! Will definitely be back.

Dropped off our dog Casey while we were out of town. Have been there before. Place was clean. Very friendly and helpful.

Super nice staff. Do a great job. My only complaint is that our dog came back from His bath and grooming with fleas this past session. We've never had them in our house before and our cat is highly allergic, so that was a big deal. This was a first from them though, so we'll be back unless it happens again.

Would be great if the accurate open/closed hours were visible online. If you’re closed from 12-1 everyday, let that be known.

Had my dog groomed here shortly after moving to the area. From the moment I dropped him off, I felt at ease with leaving him. The staff was very kind and I could tell they love the animals. I have also left him for a weekend at the boarding resort. They took amazing care of him. The prices are very reasonable as well. I'm very pleased with how great they are.

Excellent! Our 7 mo.old Blue Tick Coon Hound, Cowboy loved it! We took him to a different place nearby but this place is amazing! Their Animal Hospital next door, their Vet and nurses were so friendly! He smiled at the Dr.after she gave him a dose of medicine. The Boarding kennel is Amazing! He had happy hour every day! After we went into the parking lot, he wanted to stay.but he was thrilled to be home.

The staff here are some of the nicest people I've ever met. I feel safe leaving my babies here to stay, which means a lot, because they are our kids! This is the only place I will leave them. Had them groomed during their stay, and they came home looking beautiful! When we arrived to pick up, I noticed that they gave the staff kisses on the way out, and kind of seemed like they didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back this summer. We have not tried out the pool yet, but planning on asking if pool time can be included with boarding fees!

We let our labradoodle come at least twice a week, the staff has always provided great care and their facility is very clean.

DON'T BRING YOUR DOG THERE! AT YOUR PETS RISK!

While boarded at White Knoll Kennel my dog cut his rear paw pad and toe. They couldn't tell me how it happened but there had to be someting in the kennel or yard that was sharp. Evidently, the cut was bad enough that my dog spent the rest of the week, 4 days, at the vets clinic until I came home.

When I went to pick him up they had the nerve to charge me almost $200 in vet bills. When I complained I was told, by the owner, "If you left your child at daycare and they fell and broke their leg you'd pay the doctor bill. " My reply was, "If my child fell down the stairs at daycare because the daycare forgot, or didn't have a gate to prevent them from falling, the daycare would be responsible for the doctors bill. " Long story short, you dog is not safe there and if your dog gets hurt while there you'll be on the hook to pay the vet bill! I will say, after 20 minutes of arguing with the nasty and rude owner, and yes, I was rude back, the vet bill was removed BUT I was told NEVER to come back.

ALL BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR DANGEROUS KENNEL!

PLEASE DON'T USE THEM OR YOU'LL PUT YOUR PET AT RISK.

And finally, my dog is home and his paw is still, 6 days later, bleeding terriibly. The Vet did nothing to help my dog and now I need to bring my dog to another vet and spend hundreds of dollars to get the cut treated properly.

I absolutely love White Knoll Pet Resort. I have 2 rescue dogs. One is extremely hyper but very sensitive to having his nails cut and the other who has anxiety issues. The staff has always made special accommodations and care for my dogs. Plus they do an excellent job!
