The employee are very rude! My original review was 4 yrs ago. Today I was shopping and 2 different Employees offered to help me. I was so shocked. Looks like customer service has improved so much! Thanks
Every employee I'd on social media and rude as hell if u need them to help you get top shelf items or security cabinets.and very few even have access to those keys Amazon is worth the wait
Huge thank you to Mister Darren, who helped us and went above and beyond to provide excellent friendly service near the end of a long day! He helped enhance our time visiting Charleston by tracking down some difficult-to-find beach supplies. We appreciate all of the other staff at the store that also made our visit a pleasant experience.
Entire store was in disarray. Most relevant items to the surrounding tourism were sold out. Staff was very kind and helpful. This Walmart should give them all a raise.
The worst Walmart anywhere. Poor custom service- never have customer service counter open on the weekend and half of any working week day. Bad tempered staff members. Really sad that Walmart corp allows this store to continue to be so poorly managed.
Store on James Island, SC needs more employees & organization! I can't ever find what I need, nor find an employee to ask questions! Never have a register open other than self check out! I make a point of not stopping there if possible!
This is a busy store. They are very nice and have good customer service. I love that they stay open all night. I am adding this since my review. There can be a long period of time in between stocking food items. This is a problem for me. Long lines area problem at times.
My review of this store a couple years ago was good. I must change it because it is far from how I felt a couple years ago.the review a couple years ago is above.
This store has the worst customer service! It is inconsistent with stock and there is no accountability. Don’t waste your time in this store, unless your expectations are low and you don’t expect any stock or help. The prices are cheaper but it is not worth the frustration you feel from the experience when you leave. Poor, poor, poor! I have had stock people scream at me for asking about items in the store! A nightmare. Management did nothing about behavior. I was told by other coworkers that this stock person has had other problems with customers and nothing was done. The person got moved to another department. Update: keeps going down hill! I really want corporate to contact me. I have been treated consistently poor in that store I’m over it don’t use this store go to west Ashley store worth the time to travel to it. Well stocked, customer service is better, and treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, I can’t say that about JI store! Don’t use it! Trust me
Isles are free of debris with the exception of occasional floats in the way, shelves are usually stocked and blocked well, bathrooms are clean and smell good. One criticism: Not enough registers open.
Walmart has been going downhill for some time now. Let’s focus on checking customers out, especially during the holidays! Management needs to be on the front in helping out. Instead we see none of them.
Shelves always about half empty. No lanes are ever open except the self check-out. Self-check out lanes all (a) don’t accept cash; (b) are broken and will not read CC chips; or (c) both. 8 self-check-outs are bottlenecked to one clerk overseeing all booths. The LINE is unbelievable every time I go in. Every time I’ve been in the last year I have seen people BLATENTLY walk around the pay isles and out the door without paying! The yellow-vested door watchers just wave at them! Customer service does not adhere to posted hours. I will drive to COLUMBIA to go to a Walmart before I go back here. You would not believe how inept they are.
Dirty and disorganized store. Self checkout doesn’t accept cash so after waiting in the long line for self checkout you find out that you have to wait in the even longer line for an actual cashier to accept cash for items that could’ve easily and quickly gone through the self check out. The only reason the store is still in business after so long is because it’s the only option on the island. It would be awesome if a Target would open and put this thing out of its misery
Worst store ever. A few days after Xmas and customer service is closed for no reason at all. Drive all the way there and cannot return my son's Xbox controller he got for Xmas. Way to go Walmart.
There never seem to be enough staff/associates/employees at the registers. I see plenty of them in the store but few actually helping people check out. I don't understand why management does not open more registers when the lines (including the self checkout line) are so long.
Placed a pick up order to be ready at 12: 00pm. Order still wasn’t ready 3 1/2 hours later. When I called the store to inquire about it, the person who answered the phone hug up on me. Par the course for this store though
Just terrible. Put an order in for pickup between 2-3pm. My order was delayed and at 6pm I get the notification it's ready, so, I go to get it. I checked in before I left so they knew I was on the way. Got there and waited 30 minutes to receive my items. Not all of them were shopped. So I got 7 out of 9 items. When I got home I realized the toy I got for my son was also not in there. This was the 3rd time in the past month I have received service this bad from Walmart.
I avoid this Walmart at all costs. Nothings ever stocked which is somewhat normal these days. But they’re extremely disorganized and rude. I had an order for pick up and I wasn’t alerted my order was delayed until after I drove 30 minutes to come pick it up. I wasn’t given a time estimate or anything. Then minutes before they decide my orders ready, they alert me that basically nothing I ordered was available. Went inside and sure enough multiple items I asked for were available. I’m honestly sure there’s a shortage of employees and everything’s crazy right now but that doesn’t excuse the last minute communication and attitude from employees.
I would go to Walmart for almost anything I need…I just hate the fact that they always seem to have no staff working the registers. I refuse to use self check out unless they are paying me!
The store is terrible. Always out of stuff. Stock scattered all over the place, slow slow chackout, poor moral. I now go to other places and pay more just so i dont have to go there. 23 uear James Island resident. This place was never great, but its gotten to be a Kmart. Total breakdown of the system and you rarely see store managers in there anymore. I teuly cant remeber the last time i saw one. Uet, i go to a Walmart this week in northwr florida qaway from a metropolitan area, and ot was a wonderful experiance. Like i was in a time warp. Im done with this store.
The only reason I go to Walmart is if I look at their website and they have something specific that I need today and I can't order it from somewhere else. Everything else in there is a piece of.
Self checkout was slow as 3 out 6 registers were down. Person overseeing the self checkout did not seemed to be bothered even though she could have checked people out on her station.
I am giving Walmart 2 stars, purely due to the absolute laziness of upper management. 11 registers and only two open. They want us to scan and bag our purchases and don't offer any discount to us nor any bonus to employees for working the self checkout area. Walmart as a whole needs to be seriously boycotted. I feel for the hourly employees that work there, they deserve hazard pay for trying to restock all the store during the daytime hours and having to deal with the neurosis of many of the customers. Please don't take your anger out on the cashier or stocker, get the management, get the 6 and 7 figure Arkansas people.
My assumption is that they are thoroughly understaffed. Long waits to checkout, most of the bathroom fixtures out of order, empty shelves and pallets of stock everywhere. Probably worth the drive to a different location for the time being.
The hospitality in Electronics is SUPERB. I phoned for verification of merchandise. The Male staff member immediately checked & priced the item. Upon picking up the item, he offered checkout service which eradicated the regular liooooooong checkout line. I repeatedly "Thanked" him This is the highest stars I given to this date.
This is my kind of Superstore. Everything and organized. My family and I were so excited to be there we lost our car keys due to shopping. I thank you for your excellent customer care.
Walmart is the place you love and hate. They sell most of what you need, but their shelves are hardly ever stocked well. I can go there every other day and it's the same. For example, I was looking for creamer in the dairy section. I saw boxes of them in the back, but no one stocking them. I found someone walking around and got them to help me. But that rarely happens.
It's Walmart. They carried JLab ear buds and I thought I needed a pair. Collin, the young man that worked in electronics was very knowledgeable about all the ear buds they carried and since this was my first pair he was a huge help. I had done a little research on JLab and for the quality and price I could not be happier. I would have given this Walmart 5 stars but I could not find an in store app to locate items.
Pickup number goes straight to voicemail and automatically hangs up because the voicemail box is full. Not cool for people who do Ubereats! This needs to be fix ASAP!
How on earth does anyone think this store is worth any stars? The store is a mess everywhere and is always out of literally everything! The produce section is barren and low quality. Ever time I go things like lettuce are expired.
Pretty surreal experience. Like stepping into a third world country run by children. By far the worst Walmart on earth. From what I could tell there were dozens of employees but no management or interest in anything expect their own phones. We accidentally left a few items on the carousel and walked back in within minutes. The stuff was magically gone and no one cared or knew anything? Only a few bucks worth of stuff haha, but still ridiculous. I live fairly close so I look forward to stopping in a couple times a week to get my pay back. Hopefully management sees this. Think your place is disorganized now? Just wait. Oh and your are going to need to beef up the cleaning crew too, I'm on my way!
I went shopping there on August 2nd and the shelves were extremely under stocked and disorganized that includes dry foods and Frozen and refrigerated goods and I mean it was everywhere the customer service was a terrible. And it's not the first time. As a multi-billion dollar corporation who is quite the inconvenience for dozens of people and shoppers you need more cashiers definitely didn't find what I was looking for. I don't know maybe this Walmart is going totally hoodrat on everybody. Sam Walton would turn over in his grave if he saw this. I guess that's what you get for selling out
They seemed to need restocked and all of the store seemed to be low on employees and waited long in line, but the pharmacy in which I asked a question was helpful and the employee in the vision center was wonderful I give her 5 stars.
Wasn't South Carolina the one closest to Folly Beach was blown away by how many employees they had working on the floor I have never seen that many here in Ohio and every one of them was helpful
I was in Walmart today and the lines was just ridiculous no self checkouts were open took us 30 minutes just to get checked out I won't be shopping in this Walmart again plus I had my handicap sister with me. There was only three registers open.
