My goodness! This is the place if you want in and out in a hurry. The self checkout process (when the older lady is doing it) runs smoothly. We know, if she’s there, that nothing will be left behind, will not be charged for 2scans - all this plus! The store is also clean. Cleaner than most. We have changed from Ingles bc of all this. Give her a raise!
Understaffed, lacking the help on the front end to keep registers open, lines moving quickly, and allowing for customers to get in and out in a timely manner when they only need one or two items. There needs to be at least two or three people on the front end at all times, but the last few times I have gone in there, there has not been. The lines have been to the aisles, and getting in and out quickly has been a hassle.
Everything you need in one place! The three stars rating is just because of some unfriendly associates who work in the night shift! Also for the slow self checkout machines. They never open more than one cashier even if it’s jammed with costumers. Some associates don’t wanna help and if they do they do it with an angry bird face! What the heck!
Made my online order for 9-10 PM got a text at 9 saying my order wasn't ready yet. Wait till 10 no text saying it was ready. I call multiple times and no one answered. Walked inside and everyone who does the shopping was just standing there looking out the doors and windows. Should just cancel my order vs making me wait over an hour and me leave anyways because I have work.
This is an okay place early in the morning. I don't shop here if I need more than a few items or ever in the evenings. You can rarely get a cashier to ring up your groceries without hunting one down. This is very inconvenient when you are buying a week's supply of food. However, I can grab 1 or 2 items here fairly quickly before 9 AM
It's not a grocery store. It's just a smaller version of Sam's Club food department. Stacked from floor to almost the ceiling with stuff. Mostly self checkouts, workers pulling orders for pick-up but very, very few workers working the store for the walk-in customers. They drove out the local mom and pop stores for this. I'd rather have the mom and pop stores any day. They knew who you were and appreciated your business.
This is a typical Clemson hangout/gathering point. The place should be renamed "Lounge for Clemson Students". The staff are extremely rude. The store is dirty. They refuse to open registers even while twenty plus associates are standing around. They insist that everyone go through self checkout. Well, I didn't go to college for four years to bag groceries. A lot of these people are heavy smokers. Most of the time, several staff members can be seen smoking cigarettes and joints outside. Avoid at all costs.
Why is it that the same items at the neighborhood Walmart and the Central Walmart are priced so differently? Rotisserie chicken at neighborhood Walmart was 798 and at Central Walmart was 498. Nivea cream at neighborhood Walmart was almost $11 and at Central Walmart was 298. It's too bad that prices are jacked up at the neighborhood Walmart. Don't they know students are on a limited budget?
Went to Walmart food market in Clemson. Cut into some onions I got earlier today. Black inside. Wish I could leave a pic The Walmart in Clemson is just Nasty. And they rude to customers on the phone when I tried to let them know about it.
I was very impressed with this Walmart being the fact that its just one of those grocery store only type of Walmarts lol. It had everything I needed when I went in and was fully stocked with everything in every aisle! I would also like to mention how clean and organized the whole store as well as giving a shout out to all the friendly employees there! You're all doing a great job! The prices were a little steep on some items but some great sales on other items made up for it. I don't live near Central, was only passing through but if I did love nearby, I would go there all the time! However, the next time I do pass through, I will stop by again, for sure!
Really don't like the fact that I have to come in there on my off day and work the register and bag my own groceries. I get why these greedy corporations are moving towards a self serve type grocery store, so they can get rid of more staff and keep more money for themselves. Amazon will deliver my goods to my door.even on Sunday
Just not crazy about this store. Parking is a nightmare. Turning out of the lot when leaving is difficult as well. It always seems to be crowded and there are just things I'm used to getting at a regular Walmart that aren't available at the neighborhood market. I guess my preference is to just go to the regular Walmart.
The store is very convenient. Many of the workers are friendly and helpful. However, I find it very inconvenient when the store is very busy and they only have the self checkouts open. They need to have at least 1-2 regular checkouts open at all times. The drug store is one of the best. I really appreciate their service.
When I can't find what I want at the bigger Walmart's I will always go to the Walmart Neighborhood to get it because they will have it. It never fails. It is the best little store in town.
I have tried shopping the Clemson Neighborhood Wal-Mart Several times, when I go to spend $100+ for groceries, I want someone to ring my groceries up. They had numerous employees walking around the store but no one managing the Front End. Sorry Wal-Mart, I tried but will return to my faithful Publix & Ingles.
Very disappointed that they are putting in so many self-checkouts. The last thing I want to do after filling my grocery cart is to have to check myself out. Luckily I have a Publix supermarket two blocks away and they are great about customer service.
Great prices but way to crowded. Had too many carts of stock in every isle and only had one register open we had to use the self serve register. I liked the fresh produce department but the meat department was bare. We ended up going to Ingles after visiting the place. They just didn't have the shelves stocked with the merchandise that we buy. Will not go back. I'll just go to the super Walmart or Ingles from now on.
I did online grocery order. The pick up was easy and contactless. Except I used EBT so they had to run my card when I got there, but it was so good to get grocery by myself without having to infect others, as my daughter was positive for COVID-19. This is the BEST quarantine grocery getter.
Associates were prompt in helping us with our questions. Store was very clean and stocked except for isopropyl alcohol which is very scarce right now just about everywhere. They also had security out front entry making sure people had face masks as they enter.
All the lads working Pick Up are based and cool dudes. If you work Pick Up, I'm the the guy with the military burlap bag. The pharmacists are nice too. 10/10 as far as Neighborhood Walmarts go.
Just hear me out people, STOP BUYING ALL THE TOILET PAPER PLEASE! YOU DON'T NEED THAT MUCH!
I always enjoy this location! Although completely out of most products during this horrible situation we are in. From observation it is managed very well and kind employees. Keep it up!
This store has 'hard to find' items, not normally found at the regular Walmart Super Centers or other chains. Coconut, hemp, tea tree extract and oils, etc. Friendly staff. Open until 12am most days.
Do not recommend using EBT when doing the grocery pick up. Had to wait for someone to figure out how to ring me up b/c the hand held machine was down. Ended up having to go through the line and ring each item up. Everyone who helped was super nice.
I love the convenience of the smaller store. There are occasions when not enough registers are available and the wait time can take longer than normal. They have great deals in their clearance section. I always see one of the employees named Willie and he makes my day. Such a nice helpful gentleman.
Automation integration in full effect. No more cashiers just Scan & Go lines but they were all backed up (which is a first for me at this location) because people don't necessarily have the speed of a cashier trying to clear the line. I missed a lot since the last time I went there. They do have human monitors to watch over a number of lanes, stock products, get buggies and clean.for now.
It was a great experience. The first person I believe his name was James Griffin. I asked him a question which he answered without a problem. You have a great employee who takes time to help your customers.
This store is always clean and well stocked when I shop there. The staff is always courteous and helpful. I am especially impressed with what I have observed which is the staff is always working. No goofing off. Kudos to the management for making good hires and properly training the staff.
A very nice Walmart with an interesting but oddly nice layout. It's a good size, not too big, but has a great selection and very friendly staff. A good place to get basic groceries
