Driving through this quaint and quiet little town and came across this cool little pizza place. The service was amazing, seating was fast as was the food. The food was absolutely amazing, not a single complaint. My kids loved the cute little Easter eggs of someone’s imagination that could be found behind the bar area. Overall definitely worth a stop if you live here or are riding through like we were.
The service was marginal at best. Our party of 6, waited nearly an hour. The appearance of our waitress was distasteful. I had the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. Uneatable food all together. Plastic silverware, had to ask for silverware. No garlic taste on the bread.on a positive note the pizza was good.everything else horrible.
So my family and I chose to eat at #MillHouse in Greenwood, SC tonight. Seriously bad decision. We arrived at 5: 50 pm to put our name in for seating, a party of 9 adults and one toddler because we understood this is a holiday weekend and they will be busy. We were finally seated at 7: 30 primarily because the adolescents at front of house could not figure out how to pull a six top and a four top together to create a ten top. There did not seem to be a real adult in attendance that was managing anything. One of the kids that was trying to manage front of house actually raised his voice to me and was completely inappropriate in his response to me when I questioned them about why it was taking so long to seat us. I asked him in a respectiveful manner. I was not ugly or aggressive in my inquiry to him. But he raised his voice and was ugly to me to the point that I said to him he needed to show some respect. My family and I over the years of Mill House’s existence have spent thousands of dollars there and have tipped the wait staff very well. I am done now. Do not go to the Mill House if you have a party larger than four people.
I love the pepperoni pizza and hummus here. I think it has the best pizza and hummus in greenwood. Great beer selection too! I continuously go back and the food is always delicious. I had never had a bad meal yet!
We showed up with 26 motorcycles, a few cars and approximately 45 people. We did give advanced warning or our large group coming. Other than one small snafu of a forgotten order we were served quickly and with a smile. The recepient of the forgotten order was offered a discount without even asking. Gluten free crust BBQ chicken pizza was my choice and it did not disappoint. Others ordered salads, sandwiches and calzones. I heard no complaints from anyone.
I guess I'm spoiled coming from Detroit but I'm used to having cheese on the entire pizza and not just partially covered lightly with cheese. Otherwise the beer choices are great and enjoyed the sandwiches we had the last time.
Been coming here regularly for at least a decade. Never a bad experience. Always consistent. Pizza is awesome and wings are top 3 best I’ve ever had. Diverse beer selection and their own Good Times is excellent. 99% of the time that’s what I get. Best restaurant in Greenwood IMO!
This place is a well oiled machine. Fun beer flights with great selection plus seasonal rotations. As of 12/26/22, the spiced cranberry cider is VERY nice for those who like sours/similar. Pizza is great.any kind, can’t go wrong with their fresh & high quality ingredients. Hannah P.was our server and may have been the highlight of our experience! She ran around the place like a pro and juggled multiple tables seamlessly, efficiently, and with a smile on her face. Her memory proved itself to be exceptional and her foresight was impressive.
Cheese bread, two pizzas, two flights and a solo 10 oz beer… $70 for those who care for an idea of cost. For quality- rather than size- of pizza plus great service, we found it worth the price and worthy of returned visits!
Cheese Bread and Titus Pizza. Best we have every eaten. This is my go to brick oven pizza place. Pizzas are out of this world. Service is special and super friendly. The atmosphere is just what you would expect for a great family and neighborhood pizza gathering place.
My order was completely wrong and was not good. All of our side dishes were forgotten. I was told someone would follow up with me which never happened. I was charged full price even though I was told my account would be credited. This was my first experience with Mill House and I certainly will not be back.
Arrived at 3 PM after a little hike at Greenwood State Park. The place was pretty empty due to a parade that had the whole town out for. The room was spacious and clean and no TVs meant we had really great conversation! Started with cheesy bread, ice-cold side salad, then had the Old Mill french dip. Wow was it tender, juicy and tasty! Our kids ate all of their pizza (darn, no leftovers!). Just as the parade ended the whole restaurant filled up. We finished with chocolate chip pizza for dessert. 6 slices was perfect. All in all it was a great meal in a pleasant setting. Would highly recommend it!
So well, after we were here the first time with our family I would have gave 5 stars great service and great food and beer. So we went back 2 weeks later for another try of their great pizza We stopped at their partner bar/ restaurant first, the Good Time Brewing and then went over to The Mill House, we set down on a high table with 2 kids, 10 and under. And ordered 2 drinks, the server asked if we wanted food too but we said we ready had 2 of their great pizzas 30 min ago at the Good Time Brewing. She got furious and told us if we don't order food we have to sit at the bar with our children (Not allowed under SC law) There is wait at the restaurant and she can't loose tips. No one came in in the last 20 min, no one sitting or standing out front. She told us to get out or the bar. (Outside was the day before the hurricane so no a nice day to sit outside) we ask for the manager and she said theie are not here but she brought another server and she told us to never come back please if we are not ordering food. We left. Great food but awful service
Use to be a good place, showed up on Sunday. They say they short shafted and can't make all the food. There is 3 people folding boxes, 3 at the bar and two in the kitchen. So they can't make hummus but the guy at the bar has it? Get your restaurant together it's not hard to make pizza and beer.
Stumbled upon this gem and had an absolutely delicious meal that came out super quick. It was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling! Highly recommend the garlic bread with toppings. It's like a small pizza and perfect for a single serving. Small (approx 12") but packed with mighty flavor!
We were brought here by friends of ours who were locals and regulars. That should say a lot on its own. Everyone raved about their pizzas here, the staff was friendly and the spaces were clean. I particularly enjoyed the ambience provided by the open brick oven and the classic American-Italian music being played.
Mine and my husband's food was very standard; my Caesar salad was a Caesar salad, nothing special about it, but certainly good. The hubby's gluten free pizza was fine. As is typical with a lot of pizza parlors they haven't quite nailed the GF crust yet. It wasn't bad, by no means at all! But, we do like a crust that makes us go, "This is GF? ! " and this crust didn't give us that impression. But, the toppings were great, we'd happily return with our friends.
I have always loved this place. They have so many beer and cider options and the food is always fantastic. Unfortunately we went last night and, though the staff was great and service was quick, the food wasn't. My husband got the chicken Parm and the chicken was black. It was also a really small portion for almost 14 dollars. I got a calzone and they somehow also managed to burn that. The bread part of my calzone tastes awful. The cheese and sausage inside were great so I just ended up eating cheese and sausage for dinner. The best part of the meal was the appitizer. We got mozzarella bites and they were great.
Visited The Mill House for the first time last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great atmosphere and great food. My girlfriend and I went after hearing others talk about how good it is. I ordered the cheeseburger pizza and it was phenomenal. Toppings were generously filled and the taste was wonderful. I spent years working in a pizza restaurant of the same caliber (specialty pizzas and “higher class”) and this place does it right. I didn’t order a beer but after looking over their menu, I can say the selection for both beer and wine is wonderful and serves everyone’s taste. Service was excellent from both hostess and our timely and attentive server, Steven (if I’m not mistaken). This place is awesome and by far the best around. We will definitely be back soon and will also have to try the brewery as well!
The hostess and server were great. Only reason they’re getting two stars. I’d give 0 if I could. Spent $50 on 2 people (which is absolutely ridiculous) and both my wife and i’s food were burnt. I barely had any sauce on my spaghetti. Very displeased. Won’t be returning.
The Mill House was a blessing We were traveling back from Easley for family Christmas and had to detour through the country because of an accident on I-26 and came through Greenwood. The food was amazing. The staff was super friendly. Cost wise very comparable to other places. Our server was I believe was Nicole was very attentive considering how busy they were. Would definitely recommend to any body local and anyone who likes to go for a country ride. You won't regret it.
First time and we really enjoyed it. We had one in our party in a transfer chair and they tried to help with seating and comfort. Bathrooms were easy to maneuver in as well. We had the Titus pizza and their dessert bread. The pizza was hot and full of toppings. Even passed our pickiest eater) the dessert was great my 89 yr old mother in law had 4 pieces! Menu is posted online and easy to view. I seen some pasta and salad plates with generous portions and lots of drink choices as well.
Sad to only give 3 stars because I love this place! But at lunchtime on Wed 11/17/21, my Fungus Amongus pizza came BURNT on the bottom and I mean burnt solid black. While hot and fresh it was edible due to the delicious topping, but the leftovers were basically inedible. Wish I'd had it remade. So disappointed.
I also ordered their IPL which was mellow but flavorful.
The wings were awesome and had a nice crunch with a juicy inside. The mild flavor had little to no spice in my opinion, which is what I was going for. Fiancé prefers mild.
The Titus is a meat lovers dream, ask for it extra crispy. The prosciutto was salty and flavorful and the sausage was crispy. The pepperoni was pretty standard.
If you love pizza this is the place to go in Greenwood South carolina. I recommend the fungus among Us they have seven different types of mushrooms on this pizza. And the craft beer menu is extensive
Amazing Food! Brick Oven Pizza is Outstanding! Fresh Ingredients. The service was perfect. AND silly me, I left my wallet on the table and didn't notice till the next day. The hostess Katelynn (sp?) Picked it up and put it away safely. She was super sweet when I came in the next day. I could not be more grateful. They are very lucky to have a sweet, kind and honest employee. I am very lucky she did what she did. This could have left the beginning of my two week vacation to a quuck end. So, Thank you Katelynn. Sorry if I am spelling ypur name wrong. Repeated the order back to me correctly. I drive out of my way to get it and I'm shorted one pizza. The $$$ amount didn't make sense, should have paid for what I ordered but nothing priced out on my receipt. Another 20 minutes wait if I wanted my missing pizza, and then pay for it. Pizza was small, kinda burnt. The calzone was very small. Food did taste good, so they had that going for them at least. I won't be back.
The service is always good. We ask for the pizza well done and it's aways crispy and there is a variety for all types of pizza lovers. The outdoor dining is always dog friendly and most of the waitstaff loves dogs.
We visited today for lunch. We got the beer sampler and got to choose 4 beers to try. We also ordered 2 beers on tap. 2 pizzas and a beer togo. You buy the bottle for 8 dollars and can refill it at the location which is cool. Our waitress was friendly and helpful since we arent big beer drinkers. I loved the beer she helped me pick out. The bathrooms and restaurant was clean. I noticed that the employees never stopped working and cleaning which was refreshing vs seeing them standing and playing on their phones. The food was top knotch. My husband built his pizza.extra cheese and pepperoni. I had the cheese burger pizza. So good. You could watch them make your pizza from mixing to tossing to putting it in the huge pizza oven which was cool. Def a place we will revisit.
WOW! STICKER SHOCK! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, the beers were tiny, and for a small town like Greenwood South Carolina, this place was overly expensive. Three people for lunch and a carryout for my wife was over $100.
We had 12 chicken wings and stuffed mushrooms The wings were cold and the sauce was mild which we didn’t order The stuffed mushrooms were hot but not anything to write home about We had been there a few years ago and it was good We were disappointed The waitress was good Maybe it was an off day
Great food. My mom & I both ordered the Mill House Original & enjoyed our lunch outside. Only thing to complain about is the flies! I'd recommend dining indoors on a hot summer day. Delicious food. First time here & I'd love to go back.
Stopped in here for lunch with family. Very impressed with the quality of food! All ingredients tasted very fresh. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere, great art work on the walls by local artists that's audio for sale. Several local beers on tap that were good. Ended up buying a beer glass for a souvenir as well.
This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always incredible, & service is always above & beyond, but tonight I my friends & I were served by Ian. He single handedly saved my friend who was choking on a piece of celery! Incredible. (The food is to die for, but we’re grateful we didn’t have to.) I’m going to name my first born after Ian. 10/10
I didn't have the best experience and my friend wasn't able to drink a mimosa with my lunch.because it wasn't Sunday? That's disappointing. The 1 star is more for the attitude of the wait staff about the situation.
How's the food? Wouldn't know called and asked if they were open they said until 10. Arrived after walking from in at trellis square in the pouring rain at 9pm for them to tell me the kitchen is closed and they wouldn't seat us.never going back again. Very poor customer service.update.management reached out and we had a great conversation. Will be giving another chance and rating accordingly. THANKS gP for caring that much.it speaks volumes!
Going to have to give one star today as much as I hate to. Was told 30 to 35 minutes. After 35 minutes (know it was 35 from text) oh it's going to to 20 to 25 minutes! What!? We walked away. Well if the girls knew what they were doing and not just standing around may it wouldn't have been so bad. They should have told me to begin with 45 to 60 minutes. There were several empty tables and the excuse was something broke.
