As I have said before, "if you want to shop go to the big stores but if you want to find exactly the part you need, go to ACE. I needed the "insides" to my 38 yr.old shower. I went to two places that carries these things, you guessed it nothing. On my way home I thought maybe. I walked in ACE, told the man what I needed, he said " right this way". Two hours later my wife loves it and I am a hero.
I recently experienced a an issue with the isolation valve from our Rinnai tankless water heater. At the heart of it it was a poor design, using plastic on the part of the manufacturer. Unfortunately, it failed during a cold spell on Christmas Eve and left our family without hot water. A quick trip down to Sweet Grass Ace Hardware and I was able to find a temporary solution. I appreciated the help from the staff who was able to help me find a creative solution to the problem, and bring a Christmas miracle! Thank you.
Sweetgrass Ace Hardware/Mercantile is much more than a hardware store. It has a nice year round garden center, a post office and a large gift shop including locally made items. On the side of the building is a really good food stand.
My daughter lives near this Ace store. She had a battery replaced at Batteries Plus and they lost the bolts when installing it. She tried several car part stores with no luck. She went to Ace Hardware and said the salesman was incredibly friendly and helpful. He found the right bolts and helped get her going again. I'm so grateful to see great customer service these days and I recommend the Sweetgrass Ace Hardware for knowledgeable staff and friendly service.
Friendly staff, some local merchandise not usually found in hardware/gardening store but interesting. I'm betting it's a go to for locals because we have one close to us that we "go to" frequently for a variety of reasons. Apparently, (updating my review) there's a food area that we missed, unfortunately!
Bought some firefly tractor plants here. Couldn’t find them anywhere else! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The convenience of the post office inside makes this store one of my favorites. The store has an area in the back with local vendors selling various cute gift items.
Greatest little hardware store most friendly staff and lots of antiques and gifts in the rear, I just love this place full of treasures and all your hardware needs and the sweetest staff ever, can't go wrong in this kind and wonderful place
I always stop by to see what they have in the local items for sale. Never disappointed. The hardware has plenty of hardy plants and hardware items available.
There is nothing like a great hardware store. They have pretty much anything you could possibly want or need. It's also great to see that they sell other products from people with small businesses (cakes, candy, hand-made products)
Friendly and very knowledgeable hardware store. Love this place. Also try the Not Just Franks little restaurant attached to Ace. Great burgers and soft serve ice-cream. Breakfast sandwiches too.
Always a pleasant experience here. While the stock and variety are less than the big box stores, it makes up for it in many ways. Post office in the back of the store. Great food shack attached outside. Friendly staff always available to help. Knowledgeable garden center folks.
Helpful staff as is the custom at Ace Hardware Stores. I love that this location has tons of local artist creations and other cute, kitch or collectables on display and for sale in the back part of the store. Tons of cool stuff.
Everyone is extremely nice and helpful! The store is quite large, and maybe I'm just used to my local Ace store but it's not as organized, clean, or as nice as the one in Pawley's Island (& yes I am fully aware they are all independently owned). They do have a good selection of products.
As always. ACE Hardware has the most helpful and friendliest employees. I stay away from Lowes and Home Depot as much as possible, because I don't want to hunt for a salesperson and then pray they can help. ACE always has knowledgeable staff at hand.
This place has made me want to give Ace Hardware a chance. The post office in the back of the store is great since we haven’t found a USPS counter in this area. The store has the basics for a repair or project. The mercantile section in the back of the store has some great local crafts, books and products, but you will pay “tourist prices” for them. Surprisingly easy to get in and out of this store with the traffic on US 17.
Hyper-attentive service. Old time feel. Come in for a couple of key copies and leave with an arm full of things you didn’t know you needed. Who knew there was a post office in the back and a snack shack outside? Great people!
They saved my work day! As a plumbing tech, I tend to need random supplies that we dont readily have in our warehouse.went to Lowes thinking they'd have the parts I needed in which they didnt have.found this Ace and they had everything I needed. The employees we're incredibly helpful and also gave different ideas/options to complete my job and keep my customer happy without having to "special order" any parts
