Useful location. Unfortunately, deli in back if store kept being short handed and remained closed. The one time we did get a bfast burrito here however, was delicious.

They were not very helpful and would not take my valid ID to buy alcohol. So you might be forced to drive 30 minutes off island if you’re younger looking. Also as others mentioned, there is a large up charge.

The only “grocery” store on the island. Decent selection. This business as well as all the businesses on Fripp are geared towards the people living on Fripp. The store has a deli and also makes pizza. The problem is the hours. Just like all the businesses on Fripp, they close very early. 5pm? Seriously? !? ! Fripp is a heavy tourist destination. It’s a very expensive place to stay. There is nothing worse than a long drive to get to the island and it’s 9pm or later at night and you want a snack, food or drink. Well you have 1 option, turn around and drive 1.5 hours round trip to get something in Beaufort. Kids want an ice cream at night? Tough. It literally takes 2 hours to be able to complete a simple task. For the amount of money you spend to stay there, it seems like they would hire a couple people to man the store. It was so frustrating with the lack of availability of dining options on Fripp during normal “vacation” times. If they can’t find anyone to work at night, give me a call, I’ll work the night shift!

HUGE selection of beers, wines, and various other drinks. They have everything one might need for vacation fun. Not an extremely extensive selection of food/produce, but they have a very good overview of common grocery items.

They have pretty much anything you need, there beer selection is huge and the deli food is awesome. Best part is the people though, especially the owner!

All sales are final, buyer beware. Yet another reason to only come here in an emergency. We will now enjoy our spare umbrella for a future trip, and enjoy a delayed unboxing of our sun protection device. My fault for buying a $45 cheap umbrella in the first place.

LIsten up, folks.everybody knows the deal here. I've been going to Fripp for over 30 years. I remember when SpringTide had all the liquor on the right hand side of the store and it was all behind lock and key and the book library was on the back wall, where the deli is now. It's always been expensive but they have a monopoly and they know it and that's OK by me. We were just there in January and my wife and two girls and I had lunch from the deli for $28. Not bad. The new deli is good.it's not amazing, but it's good. (Word of advice for you breakfast people.the biscuits are sweet.so if that's not your thing (and it shouldn't be), heads up.) Yes, it's expensive, but it's also the only place to grab food and drink on the island. So do what the regulars do. Stop at Publix on St. Helena (or the new Walmart) on the way in and get what you need. When you realize, ooops, I forgot something, pop out to SpringTide and grab it. Or pop by the deli for a relatively tasty and no so pricey meal. But the main thing to do at SpringTide is grab a book from the library and read it on the beach and connect to the old soul of Fripp when everybody knew each other and all we did was read on the beach and watch movies when it rained. The movie rental is in the Activity Center, by the way.

High prices, they define price gouging. $5 for a loaf of read. $6 for a dozen eggs. I would not enter this establishment if I were starving to death!

Very well stocked convenience store, granted prices are higher than Walmart, with everything you would need without the long drive to town
