This store is very convenient so I use it a lot but not exclusively. It has a small foot print and therefore has limited selection. Meats and Produce could be better but adequate for size. Looking forward to the expansion. Staff is helpful and friendly. Hope to give it a 5th star when this Publix expands. Update: call the store to make sure an item is in inventory if it is critical to a recipe. The inventory service level at this store is awful. Tired of not finding basic items like English Muffins in stock. Changing my rating to 2 stars and going to start driving off the island to HT.
Nice fresh vegetables and any time I can get fresh pizza dough from their bakery is great! Only way to make this store any better is to start stocking "Pommes Frites" seasoning.
On the smaller side, compared to some of the other publix in the area. Great selection regardless! Had a wonderful experience in the bakery department.
Shopping at Publix is always a good experience! The prices sometimes might be a little higher but it's made up for in service. Always plenty of checkout lines and employees that not only know where items are but are happy to take you there. It would be hard to beat their customer service.
One of their smaller stores but big on customer service and cleanliness as usual. Publix is still my number one grocery store. Sweet Potato Pie is delicious!
This is my go-to grocery store when I can’t make it to Whole Foods. I do wish Publix had more organic choices, but I must say they have come a long way since I first moved to DI in 2105. Publix is also more expensive than Whole Foods (no lie). But for convenience, it does the job. The staff is always very polite and helpful
Plubix is letting homeless people steal there shopping carts for them to sleep in around Daniel island I live and work on the island Publix does not respect the community or the safety of homeless people sleeping in their stolen shopping carts. I spoke to the police officer they can’t do anything unless Publix stands up for the community
This Publix is very small. Daniel island needs another supermarket on the island. Went in and some of the shelves were empty. They were out of basic seasoning. I’ll good to Whole Foods or Harris.
It's a clean and well run grocery store. Smaller than most Publix, so the inventory is a bit smaller than expected, but they have most everything you need.
The majority of the employees here are very nice and helpful, however, Tammey is so extremely rude to me every time I shop here. She makes a point to speak to every customer around me but not to me.not a word. Seeing as we’ve never had a negative exchange, I would guess that her problem with me is my appearance.
Small store with typical "Publix pleasure to shop" nonsense.
The entire time I was there, during the lunch hour, the district manager and multiple store level managers chatted at the front doors if at a cocktail party. While the deli was falling behind in setup, stocking refrigerated, iced tea, and grocery items, and lacking in grab and go items.
Really. Need I say more about this low volume tiny afterthought of a store!
The bakery is great, and the deli and sandwich counter are also good. I'd say everything else is pretty overpriced though. Good in a pinch but don't come here regularly even though I like on the island.
Daniel Island: EXPEL THIS CHAIN. HATE MONGER OWNER REFUSES TO VACCINATE CHILDREN AND SUPPORTED TREASON AGAINST OUR GOVERNMENT. Not only that, besides the friendly staff, this store is absolutely awful. Claustrophobic, always out of stock, miserable run down interior. A sicken disgrace.
I've always been less than thrilled with this local Publix. Publix prides themselves on being customer friendly, and this branch doesn't live up to the usual standard. The associates are less than helpful and sour. I only use this store when I need to since I work on the island, but I'd much rather go to my Publix in North Charleston, as its employees actually exhibit a true Publix spirit and a helpful attitude.
William in the check out lane is always smiling and upbeat. He goes above and beyond to make sure his team and the customers have a great day. Some days you'll even catch him singing.
So ridiculously over priced. I live on the island now and end up here way more times than I care to to buy my Groceries. I saw a box of frosted mini wheats for $7. Please $7 for a box of cereal? ! Sales are few and far between. It’s a tight, rather small grocery store to be the only one on the island. Everyone is usually friendly on staff. I wish that there was a self check out / express Also.
Very nice staff! In addition to always bagging the groceries and offering to take them out, they also placed my items from my cart to the counter to be scanned. Great service!
They are very nice.all of the employees go out their way to help you.with a smile and God knows what Jerks customers can be.but they continue to smile! Bravo
Deli was quick and friendly! Make sure you ask for utensils and napkins if you require them! For faster service, order ahead online and confirm your location!
By far the worst Publix I have ever been to. The aisles do not make sense. The manager (s) who do the ordering, do NOT know how to properly order as they are ALWAYS out of SO MUCH!
If you live in the area, then it's perfect. If you're visiting you'll probably notice that it's considerably smaller than Publix you're used to seeing. Aside from that, everything you need is in store. They were missing spicy turkey cold cuts when I was there so slight bummer, but maybe next time
Every one is always friendly and helpful. The store is small compared to other stores, but still has all the products you really need so you don't HAVE to leave the island if you don't really want to.
Whole store is nice and clean! Publix deli needs to carry the buffalo hot sauce though, they use to but haven't seen it in months so gotta lose stars for the best sauce out of stock lol also somebody help "Robby" out with making subs, nice guy but yikes lol
Compared to other Publix stores this one seems smaller. Has basically most items you need. Prices do seem high. Very friendly staff. Good deli with Boar's Head available, bakery is good. My son loves the Canolli. Visited while on vacation.

Staff is great but the store itself is so small and always cramped. The selection is smaller than most other stores and patrons often linger in the aisle chatting, making the store feel even more cramped. It's fine if you need to grab a few essentials.
Clean with friendly staff. They can be a bit over the top checking to see if you need help with anything, but I guess that's what people like to see here. They've had everything I've needed. Their meats and vegetables are fresh and have a quality appearance. It's priced higher than grocery stores in Mount Pleasant and elsewhere, but it's also sitting in the middle of some of the most expensive real estate in Charleston. That said, if you haven't noticed yet, everything on Daniel Island comes at a premium to match the cost of doing business here.
Had everything I needed for vacation. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was they were out of masks while I was there. Excellent grocery store. Clean and easy to find things. It’s a little cramped, but they made good use of the space they had.
Clean store with somewhat limited grocery options. I always like Publix but often have to drive all the way to the Mt pleasant store to get what I need for holidays and specific meals. I’m surprised all these years as the only grocery on the island that they have not expanded, one day.
