Great gym. Clean, not super crowded and great staff. Came here while on thanksgiving break and left with no complaints! *wish they had a sauna tho*

Overall a good gym clean respectful people. The one big negative if they have about 100 cardio machines and I've never seen more than 10 or 15 being used at a time. But I generally have to wait to get on leg machines some of which they were only one curl machines and butterfly. There should be less cardio and a few more of the machines that get heavy usage

Thanku for opening 24hrs some days, so I can get a workout late nights.if I am busy all day

Move to South Carolina in 2022 from Atlanta. I absolutely loved my old gym but found a good location in Moncks corner. Loved working with trainer Fwayne. He had awesome classes and was consistent. Later moved near the Mount Pleasant location. This gym was good up until the point where they stopped having the trainers and no longer had classes. I went there all summer long and still no classes and not even planning to hire anyone to teach the classes.

I spoke to one of the guys on his last day and he said they can't keep trainers to do classes because they don't want to pay. Needless to say I am canceling my membership because in addition to using the weight machines the classes are what I really looked forward to.

Get it together Planet Fitness because now I'm over here at Crunch. I went from $20 a month to $34 a month at crunch but it's well worth it and the classes are amazing!

If you join crunch make sure you join in Hanahan or Charleston to get the premiere membership which is like the highest tier, then you can switch over to Mount Pleasant. If you join in Mount Pleasant it's going to be $49 per month.

I have never left a bad review but I am so troubled by one of the managers actions that I have to. I received a call from my two children letting me know that the manager stopped them at the door and questioned whether they have memberships or not (they do). She asked for one of my kids IDs which he provided at which time she accused him of presenting a fake ID (he gave his DL). He immediately left after she threatened to call the police while my other child went to work out. I called the gym to try to get the story, I was met by an extremely rude manager who accused my child of being disrespectful. When I inquired as to who was being rude she described someone who did not fit his description. I further inquired into the accusation of them not having memberships in which I offered member IDs from the contract, I was told I was wrong and I was being rude. I explained they were twins and they both had memberships at which time she denied questioning his ID, told me I was wrong that both boys were there and both boys didn't have memberships. At that point another parent arrived to handle the situation. The entire incident was recorded and as soon as she realized it, she apologized for yelling at them. My boys have gone to this gym for months with no issue. These are children, at any point this manager could have called a parent to clarify the situation. She had no reason to escalate and threaten my children.

Price is the best in Mt. Pleasant, stuff is helpful, environment is clean and a ton equipment!

The staff always extends the highest level of professionalism and courtesy!

Pretty decent planet fitness but it can get pretty crowded if you go around noon or 7pm which leads me to my biggest complaint. The hours here suck! How can a gym be open 24 hours Tuesday-Thursday and have various hours the rest of the week? I like to wake up and workout before my day starts yet I’m typing this at 6: 55 in the parking lot of an unopened gym on a Saturday. Time for a new gym.

They are absolute sticklers about wearing shoes. I get not walking around with out them but at a Smith machine? Really? Annoying, shoes ain't gonna protect your toes from a dropped weight.

Great gym and location. Very clean and staff is friendly. Only complaint is that there are a lot of young kids that workout here and use it as their hang out spot instead of actually working out. They also purposely try to set off the lunk alarm. Other than that, I can’t complain!

Great place, always clean yet the guy who is usually there every early morning always acts like he's being bothered. The last time I was there he told me to do something I'd already done, I told him I'd done it and his response was "Well I'm telling you to do it again. " He apparently had done something on his end that wiped out what I had done yet he didn't explain that to me so instead tried to make me feel stupid. It's not the first time he's been rude to me or someone I'm with so it wasn't an isolated incident. I go to the gym to start my day off right & the last thing I want is an attitude when I walk in the door. The gym is a sanctuary for me & for many others & I shouldn't have to tiptoe around someone because they don't like their job. PF is a no intimidation zone, right!?

First time at a Planet fitness and it was a very nice experience. The manager Grace was super welcoming and helpful, she helped me find the equipment I needed. Clean space, very friendly.

We are new to this club but have used PF for years. This location is large and has plenty of equipment. The staff all seemed to be attentive, engaged and courteous.

The entire place appeared very clean. There was only 1 or 2 pieces of equipment that were broken (which is much better than other locations we have visited).

Look forward to be here more in the future!

Clean, safe, pleasant environment to work out in. Grace is lovely and always welcomes you. I find I go to planet fitness far more than the gym that was right outside my door at home.

Everytime I come to this planet fitness I am always impressed at how clean it is. Everything is spaced apart and it's a big facility. Nothing feels crammed. I enjoy the staff as well they are very helpful!

Staff is very nice and welcoming, except for Grace. Since joining planet fitness, each time I have an encounter with her she is extremely passive aggressive and makes me feel like a bother for using the amenities that I pay for. I have worked the front desk at a gym and customer service for years and can understand people are ridiculous and can put you in a bad mood, but her attitude is unacceptable and out of nowhere. I genuinely dread coming in and having a run in with her. Other than that the facility is great and very clean, the rest of the staff has been super friendly!

Staff is great and the cleanliness level is very high. Lots of work out & cardio equipment, tanning, massage chairs/beds, etc. Clean locker rooms & awesome showers. My only issue is with the new stationary bikes. As a lifelong cyclist I've been on gym stationary bikes since the mid 80's and these Matrix machines (upright in photo) are by far the worst I've used. Ergonomics, programming, and utilization are somehow more primitive than Life Fitness bikes from 30+ years ago.

We've been going to this gym since it opened and have been very pleased with the equipment, staff, and cleanliness. However, in the last few months, the cardio equipment and associated media equipment has been going downhill. There are several of us in there every morning at 5 AM and everyone is getting very frustrated. The treadmills are starting to get worn and need repaired or serviced. They make noises and some are wobbly. When you find a treadmill that works properly, the TV doesn't work. For most of us in the morning, this is where we watch the local news each day, sports, etc. Could someone please have someone look at all the equipment and media. Thanks to anyone that can help.

Manager Kevin did not allow me to enjoy my perks as a black member. I asked for a hydro massage bed as I did during my last visit and he refused. He stated that it was policy for members to be required a photo numerous times. When I stated that I have been coming to the gym for over a week and nobody has asked for a photo he rudely responded "if you do not wish to comply with the membership rules we can cancel your membership and send you on your way. I have never felt more in a hostile and judgement environment. I didn't realize signing up for a membership here entailed you to be harassed by the managers. When I responded that your employees should be trained better and catching that when members come the first time he proceeded to respond to me in a cocky manner.

Friendly and upbeat staff. Very clean facility.
Equipment is fixed fast. Variety of music.

They have 2 water fountains, both are mildly cool and both taste of heavy metal. And no way to fill a water bottle in a sanitary manner. Stairmasters are limited and one has been broken for months. Rumor is they pay workers $11/hr to start, who can live on that? But what do I know?

Immature staff members… don’t trust Keith… he’s dishonest and avoid the personal trainers. You want real gains or to lose weight join Crunch.

Grace, Shane, Steven and rest of the staff are all friendly, even knowing their short staff they always welcome you with a warm smile.

Clean. Friendly staff. Good variety of work out equipment and additional services, e.g tanning. And the price is right! Highly recommend.

Equipment is not regularly wiped down. Heated massage machine as well as the total body enhancement machine are outdated and run like garbage. Employees are rude to you when your trying to figure out how to login to your account on the app and you don’t know your barcode. For someone whose paid for a membership here for 8 years, I am completely unimpressed.

Cancelled my membership after going only a few times because of how passive aggressive and off-putting the staff is. That behavior was proved once again while canceling my membership. Very unprofessional.

Nice, clean gym. Lots of machines. Went on a Sunday when they close early and finally heard the "lunk alarm" go off. Always wondered if those things actually worked. Guess they're actually just time warning alarms and not actually for loud mouth breathing gym goers.
