Piggly Wiggly

This is a neighborhood store with helpful employees. Their flower arrangements are GORGEOUS and reasonable. Was able to pick up 6 small arrangements as a sweet extra surprise for today's gathering. Guests were thrilled with them.
I haven't had a Christmas gathering in MANY years. Oh my! Where to start? Went to Piggly Wiggly - Surfside for assistance. Met with the deli manager, who was very helpful. Due to his patience and suggestions, we worked out a menu. Today I picked up the order for our afternoon party. WE WERE BLOWN AWAY with the food! Everything was delicious (sliders, quiche, fruit tray, cheese tray, ambrosia salad) and more. The baked potato soup was incredible. We barely carried on a conversation at the table; we were too busy enjoying every morsel. So, huge KUDOZ to this store, staff, and all the hands that were involved in making this a very special day for my guests - and their hostess. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

Thanksgiving turkey was huge disappointment! Paid $50 for a fried turkey. Picked up today and it was ICE cold. Wow! Not expecting that at all! If I wanted a cold turkey I would have bought my own and then cooked in my oven. Was not expecting to get home and have to put in my oven for 1.5 hours to "reheat". Save your money and go out to a restaurant and eat there. Will never do this again or recommend. Looks like it's tacos for Christmas!

We needed only a few items. Store was clean and checkout was quick and easy. Employees were super friendly and helpful.

This place is phenomenal! The employees go above and beyond to make you as a customer happy, from now on I am not shopping at any other supermarket.

Maybe this is more of a nostalgia thing for tourists to visit as in years past when the Piggly wiggly was in small towns but I was disappointed in the lack of products available. Selection was not the best. Store was clean. The few items I purchased were more expensive than other groceries stores in the area.

The old lady working the register was absolutely disgusting towards me and my family. We tried to help her bag the groceries and she got nasty and was extremely hateful. Does not need to be working customer service, especially in a tourist town. Puts a bad name towards tourists

Cake decorator was not in but the guys in the deli were helpful and told us when she was scheduled to come back. The store was clean and Ellen the cashier was very nice in helping us with shirt pricing.

Great small-big store, convenience store plus more. I liked it had everything I was looking for, plus stuff I had no idea there was, being from Illinois this place was convenient.

My hubby was so excited to see a Piggly Wiggly when we were on vacation in Myrtle beach. We had to stop in and we walked up and down every aisle. The store was nicely stocked, clean and neat. The prices were okay.

Nicely ran store, always good sales, good choice for beer and wine, nice selections of food. Good produce selection

Cute store and we love the salad bar! It’s always nice to be able to make your own. And it always seems so fresh. I don’t have any places like this where I’m from, so we enjoy it when we’re in the area. It’s the little things sometimes.

Always a pleasant experience. I am the only one in my household to cook for n I can only buy what I need in meats. If there aren't small portions, the butcher will provide. Deli is wonderful, n I can't say enough about my go to cashier Ms. SANDY. She is so great w myself always.

I love this grocery store because of it's prices and the merchandise. You can buy window decals that show you visited Surfside Beach, SC and they have t shirts and flip flops. It's a great grocery store when visiting Surfside Beach.

This is THE lowcountry/beach grocery store! It's not a huge place, but the selection is decent. What's best is the top notch service. David and Taylor up front know how to do their jobs expertly. The lady in produce was super-helpful. Also, since Piggly Wiggly has a cult following, you can buy all kinds of PW merchandise.

Came in to buy a few items in the store. Staff was pretty nice and store was moderately clean. The fruit in the store was very disappointing in most of the cases. Doesn't look like anyone has checked some of it in awhile.

This used to be a great place with friendly people when Mike Byrd was the manager. Now it just a place with surly and rude front end help.

When I can't find something at one of the other grocery stores best believe I can find it at Piggly Wiggly

Piggly Wiggly kinda is what it is. Over priced basic stuff. But down the street so easy once in awhile.

I am a local and I love this store for one huge reason. It is never so busy that I have to wait in line forever to check out. They always have plenty of checkers working the store is not usually real busy and everyone is so nice and polite and helpful. It's a very clean well-organized store with nice selection however the prices are a little bit High when compared to stores like Walmart Neighborhood Market or perhaps Food Lion. But for the combination of quality and customer service and convenience and not having to wait in long lines I love going here. And they actually have a butcher and the fresh cut meat is the best anywhere at the beach!

I went to their deli, I was after 6 items. Two people waited on me. Twenty minuets later I had 4 of them and gave up on the last 2. Meats and bread not in case or put out at 3 in the afternoon,

The store was clean, checkout was fast, and a lot of people were wearing masks. No complaints. I'll add the the packaged Peach Cobbler in the bakery area was very good - I don't eat many carbs anymore, but made an exception here that was well worth it!

VACATIONERS BEWARE! Even though they accept returns, they won’t tell you until you go to return something that they won’t return anything to that you no longer need and may try to return. They take returns, but not due to items “over purchased. ” So basically, they are taking advantage of vacationers and the revenue we bring into their store, but have concealed return policies that they are not at all transparent about to customers that protect then from any loss of revenue a returned item may bring them. Extremely poor business. Oh, and by the way, get some deli employees that know how to work and don’t eat the meat and cheese in front of the customers and chit chat about what they watched on Netflix last night. Took 5 times longer than it should have to get some basic meat and cheese.

Haven't been in one since I was a kid! Brought back memories! They have a great selection and their staff is very friendly.

Not a bad grocery store but they didn't have a lot of things you would find in other grocery stores plus their prices were a little high or certain items.

Not really friendly I waited to get a sub the lady looked right at me did even ask if I wanted something or not. The cashier did even say thank you or even a hello.what happened to the customer service.
Sad.

All the veggies were old and limp. Not much variety. We were there for salad fixings and it was difficult picking out ingredients.

Love going here to pick up my Elderberry syrup! They sell it in the back right corner near the fresh produce. Check it out!

Being from the West.never been to a Piggly Wiggly. So had to stop.great store, had everything I needed, plus 2 coffee mugs to take home.

The Pig has been sliced up. This location is a mere shadow of what PW's were back "in the day. " I'd put this store on par with Food Lion's, but not quite as clean.

The staff are always helpful and welcoming. Great salad bar, soups, hot to go meals, deli and bakery. Plus great one stop shopping for anyone who needs to do a smaller grocery run but doesn't want to deal with general Walmart chaos.
Average deals, but they have a great liquor selection and some brands that are a bit harder to find. Plus they sell locally made goods!

Awesome bakery! Made my sons birthday cake extra special and with minimal notice. They did a great job and even put our football teams logo on it!

If you are looking for small to medium size flower arrangements this is a good place to shop for them and a card to go along with. They have a florist on duty good prices compared to a flower shop.

Bought 8 pieces of baked chicken and 2 portabella mushrooms with spinach and cheese. The chicken was a good buy and the mushrooms were excellent.

I wasn't expecting much from a grocery store, but this Piggly Wiggly has a fantastic beer selection. One entire side of an aisle plus three other areas combined to cover tons of locals breweries, stuff from around the country and all the day long drinking, standard stuff as well.

Love shopping local. Love that I can buy locally grown SC produce, SC small business products, crafts and floral nursery items.

My first time at a piggly wiggly. Not impressed. Prices high, quality low. Got mashed potatoes at the counter.obviously boxed and not good. How do you mess up mashed potatoes? Not eatable. Gravy was good though. Salad bar items limited but fresh. Disappointing experience

Save the Pig! I love this grocery store! One of my favorite things is that they have the best deli options. A lot more salad choices than the others. Also, If you are looking for local treats, this is the place. So glad it’s in the neighborhood.

This place is close to where I live and is where I shop when I need the basics. The service here is okay. I had a rude teenager one day who rung me up. She was not friendly at all and lacked basic hospitality etiquette.

I Always shop here when spending time in SC! Store is immaculate clean and employees are very friendly! I love walking in and getting a hello from the cashiers!

Great little neighborhood grocery. Very well organized and very well stocked. Great prices, and also some local products as well, which i love! Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable staff.

Came back to purchase homemade goat soap and they had not restocked. We went to another in North area and they didn’t even carry the soap when we had been instructed if we went to another location they would probably have. Very disappointed
