Ocean Reef Resort

We were here for an overnight mini vacation and we will definitely return. The room was spacious and clean. The indoor and outdoor pools were sufficiently heated and the arcade was a lot of fun. The bar was reasonably priced and the bartender was friendly.

We have stated ocean reef for the past eight years this year the prices doubled we understand the price must go up a little. They’ve added $25 per day for room service. We had room service once in 14 days because that’s the time we requested it if we didn’t request it, we would not have any room service. They never explained that to us when we made original reservations places really priced itself and I would like a call please from Ocean reef manager.

We went in the off season and the room was an excellent value. The lazy river, multiple hot tubs and heated pool are all usable in winter time. Quick acess to beach, good views from rooms and very comfy mattresses. This was an awesome hotel.

Let me just say my son had amazing time for his 3rd birthday he asked to be on the beach and he want to go swimming in the pool and that's just what he got the rooms was amazing 216 please update your website because the room look nothing like what I thought I was booking it was totally remodeled it had no carpet, new paint very clean thanks housekeeping the staff there was great from checking in with Ahna im not sure if that's how to spell her name but she was very sweet I didn't get the lady who worked third shift but she was also sweet and very helpful as well security was very friendly

Loved our room. Everything was provided for our extended 5 day stay.the hotel itself was stunning great pool the bar/grill has amazing food.our large family of 7 stayed occupied the entire time.all in all it was a great stay would definitely return.

I booked this for my family of 3 a few months in advance. I paid just under 900$ for 5 nights. The first room we were placed in was very dirty. The bed was stained, and the couch was ripped. I asked the ladies at the front desk if my bed could be replaced or if we could be given a different room. They told us they were completely full and no other rooms were available as well as no other beds. After insisting that my family and I would not be sleeping in that bed, a new room appeared out of nowhere. The two ladies at the front desk were very nice and professional during all of this. A lot of the children’s pool equipment did not function properly, but that didn’t seem to matter to my toddler. The second room we were given was much nicer. It seems like all of the rooms in the north tower have a very small patio. I must reinforce that all of the staff was very nice. I was just disappointed with the overall cleanliness.

We are regulars at Ocean Reef and go there twice a year for over seven years now. Tara and LaToyua, the managers are very accommodating and always willing to go above and beyond for their guests. My kids love it here. Thank you for making our summer vacation wonderful!

Very helpful service, condo extremely clean and stocked with everything we could need, pools were very clean, and perfect location with access right by the ocean!

Hotel staff was very rude when I called several times to come clean my hotel room. I spent $1,100 for 2 nights and my room was dirty and sand in my bed. We wont ever be back!

The Ocean Reef Resort is a clean, but dated resort. The staff did an excellent job with what they had to work with, but there were things that needed to be fixed and or updated. We rented a condo on the 12th floor and there were several discrepancies that were not fixed including holes in the walls.

Nice place to stay, but no adult activities other than the drinks at the pool. Furnishings and carpet was a little old. Front staff was rude at check-in, but manager resolved the situation quickly. The resort was not helpful in obtaining taxi, or events we were basically on our own, very unapologetically "can't help you with that. " Overwall, we gave the resort an 8 especially after we went to South Myrtle Beach and felt blessed to be on the North side where we were!

My stay was great. But room had a lot of issues wrong. Went to front desk, they help address the problem right away. Thanks for making the rest of our stay Wonderful. Ivy was a great help.

I had a 3 bedroom suite. It was spacious and clean the furniture was a bit worn and outdated as are the tv’s. The only frustrating part of the stay was the elevator wait. Other than that we had a great time the food was delicious and reasonable. We will definitely be staying again next year.

I would say it's okay but i wouldn't have believed it's a 3-star hotel if it wasn't written on the website. I would give it a 2-star. Ivy from customer service was really nice. The ocean view from the room was great. But the AC felt like a motor boat engine whole night so my sleep went out the window. The shower was clogged so the water drained very slow, throughout the shower you are standing in a paddle of water upto your ankle. It's definitely time for remodeling. Stepping out of the elevator i thought i was in a dungeon, the carpets, the walls are just so old and very unattractive, it makes it look like some old jail or a hospital from one of the horror movies. In the room it says for security reasons keep the balcony doors locked at all times but the lock doesn't work and it's all rusted. So, would i come back here again? Nope.

Staying 3 days here. Wish it was longer. It is beautiful and everyone was very friendly. Will hopefully make it back here next year.

This hotel is the worst place i have ever stayed in my life, the rooms are old, the front door is very dirty, everything is dirty.this hotel makes so much money, please renovate those rooms, it is horrible.

TERRIBLE! Somebody Peed in the corner of our room. Nothing was updated, it was all ran down. Staff was really rude, they came in our room when do not disturb sign was up. Not satisfied at all. Pool was ok.

Even though I couldn't stay, booking.com double booked my room, the staff here was amazing, helpful, gone the distance for me, what a great place, kid friendly atmosphere, pool side music, fun. Highly recommended

Suites are good sized with nice walkin shower and jacuzzi tub. The bed was comfortable and multiple tvs. Great view of ocean. Keeping the room comfortable was a little tough it was either too cold or too warm but other than that we enjoyed our stay for the 3rd year in a row.

We have stayed at your resort for 3 years. This year your staff was horrible and rude. We had items thrown at us off of the balcony without care when reported to the front desk and after filling out your online survey the hotel called within 20 minutes to say we were being charged for a broken TV in our room. Really? NOTHING was broken in our room when we left. Interesting that after reporting our unhappiness we suddenly got a call. We would never stay at your facility again or recommend it.

Everything was super and beyond expectation. The people working at Ocean Reef are great and so friendly! Would definitely recommend!

The accomodations at the resort were excellent. The kids loved the pools, waterpark area, and beach access. We had a 2 bedroom condo and it had plenty of room for 6 people. The washer and dryer worked great especially since we were there for a baseball tournament and had a lot of dirty sweaty laundry to keep up with. It was a quick walk next door for Starbucks and across the street was a pizza and ice cream place. Our only issues were that the kitchen was not stocked very well with pans and utensils and the pull out sofa was very uncomfortable but not enough that my son wouldn't sleep on it. Overall it was a great place to stay and would go back.

Nice resort.nice layout.great views and beach.very friendly staff and helpful. Nice pools and hit tubs. Bartenders are great too.there were a few simple things wrong with the room but nothing to hinder the trip. If you want to go on a nice trip here give this place a look.

Everything was good Buffet breakfast excellent. Room was nice and cleans. All of staff members were all very nice and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back. Also all of the pools, lazy river, and kiddie pools were awesome. Thumbs up

Very disappointed in the condition and cleanliness of the room. Light bulbs burnt our or missing. Closet doors either missing or no working properly. Cold showers 3 out of 5 day stay. Reported with no response. Would not recommend the North Tower at all.

This place is very friendly and child-centered. It is a perfect place for families to have fun. The only thing was that the furniture is worn and could be replaced. And our balcony had water dripping on it from a top floor. We were very happy with our stay here, overall. The front desk was very accommodating!

Our room was dirty and had bugs. They are difficult with getting your refund. And apparently am lucky I got a portion of my refund back. Just go to the double tree.

I visit here every year, but it seems as though they are slacking in terms of room furnishings. On a good note, the room was clean but noone came to empty trash and get dirty towels.

Double booked room. Drove 16 hours to stay. After conformation of reservation there was no rooms available. Don't use Booking.com
