Ocean Creek Resort

We stayed here the last week of September 2023 so this review is a little old. The resort is nice and quiet. A large complex that is gated which is very nice. We have a toddler so that great to be able to explore outside with them. We have actually stayed at the resort 16 times but this was the first time we actually booked through the resort instead of through a condo owner. BIG MISTAKE. Thought we were doing the right thing and even purchased the extra trip protection through them along with damage insurance. We purchased the South View in the South tower as we have always stayed in the south tower and love the view. Booking went smoothly. I did get 2 calls trying to selling me a timeshare which is annoying and outdated. We arrived at the resort and proceeded to check in. When the agent handed me the keys I noticed that the condo was a north view. So I had them double check that I had the right room. And at first they said I had booked a north room but then realized that I had booked a south view room and the resort changed it WITHOUT notifying or asking me. They were just going to give me the cheaper condo at the more expensive rate and hope I didn’t notice (which is basically fraud). And what is the point of buying trip insurance if they are just going to change it whenever they want? The front staff was nice and did what they could to get us into the right condo which took a day.

The fact that the staff was very nice tells me this was a company issue policy or procedure issue. This is the management of the company which reflects throughout the resort. When we first started coming to the resort it was very well maintained. But this time we notice issue like crack in the balcony ceilings and parking garage ceiling, and the balconies of north tower appear to slanted. Pool gates didn’t work properly. A lot of minor stuff that say the parent company doesn’t really care about the property. So in all likelihood that was probably the last time we will ever stay there. Sucks because the property has amazing potential to be a great place.

*edited to add after I wrote my review, we found a large dead cockroach in the living area. So disgusted*

Do not believe any 5 start reviews. They are likely bots or friends of the establishment. This is not a resort. They are very, very outdated villas. The inside is old, grimy, broken towel racks, broken cabinets. We found a fingernail and hair in different rooms. Kitchen only had forks and spoons. Very dim lighting. Old furniture, paint, curtains. Don't waste your money. Was not a comfortable, clean stay. The only plus was location, but was not worth anything else.

The location is perfect. It's right on the main drag. The place itself looks drury. Maybe updating the place will attract more people.

We stayed at the lodge and it was a perfect location with a pool within steps of our room. Actually there are several pools both indoor and outdoor. The beach was a quick 2 min walk. At the beach club bar and grill Simone was the best! She was the cook that came out to check on how our food was and if we needed anything. The food and service was amazing!

I know each room is decorated differently, but ours was newly renovated and very comfortable. Slept great in the comfy bed and great pillows! The grounds are wonderful with pools throughout, paths to walk, and a golf cart tram that can pick you up and take you to anywhere if desired. The breakfast buffet tasted great, and crew was very friendly. The Beach Club Bar and Grill was our destination for lunch and Julie and Simone were great.food was delicious, Simone. Thanks! I had the BBQ chicken wrap and hubby had wings. Fries were good too. The Sand Bar sling was so tasty and refreshing. The walk out to the beach is easy and clean. I love that we are on a more deserted area of the beach, so it is not as packed as other parts of the strip. The ocean "creek" that runs behind the dunes is calm and great for kids. There is also a small swing set and volleyball court down by the beach. Showers to clean off the sand when you are finished. Tennis courts etc are back closer to the road. Just across the street from Barwfoot landing which is full of activities, shopping and dining. This whole place is a wonderful experience you must try. Different accommodations for different preferences too.

Clean, gated community. Units where quiet. No noise from the other units. Close to several attractions, and FOOD. We rented through paradise found. Well maintained, updated unit. Found several sharks teeth on the beach. Plan on returning here again next year.

So far my stay has not been great. They were unable to accommodate my infant. They did try to reach out to other facilities to see if they could get the needed items but was unsuccessful. I have never been anywhere that was unable to provide the items needed for an infant so that was upsetting. I also was upset my the cleanliness of the unit. We brought cleaning supplies and had to clean the unit. We also found a bed bug! They are trying to take care of it. I stripped the beds and found human hair all over the mattress and mattress topper. Very gross. I also had to ask for wash cloths. So I had to hold up my children’s bath until they showed up. I’m currently interrupting my family plans waiting for someone to come to my unit to figure out this bed bug issue. I have been inconvenienced this whole stay. Something has to give. All I wanted was a stress free stay and now I’m freaking out about the possibility of bringing bed bugs home with me.

Beautiful beach and views, privateness was nice, they kinda get ya with the 3 pools, the indoor outdoor one is considered 1.i liked how ita so big but didnt seem like there was so many people.bad thing was 3 c's construction was going on outside our balcony, 2 cockroaches made it in the room, and what i believe was a cumstain on the blanket which wouldnt of been a issue if id of brought my blankets like usual, but figured this place was nice, and so was a lil dissapointed, washed didnt come out, went and got another blanket, the resort is premo location few minutes from walmart resturants across the way etc etc.would go back but 3 stars for the 3 c's

The rooms are nice but one thing they should fix is the german cockroaches. They're constantly near you. This is no luxury resort at all. Dont book here because its cheap go find something better we saw more and better one around up to you. Other than that very good experience. I would look into Windy Hill for the beaches though.

Awful never stay again. Website shows a picture of people on the sand. No sand and beach not unless you drive to it. Who rents a room that is scheduled for a 9: 30am pest control spray. This place does. After pest control leaves 1inch long roaches dying in the floors everywhere. Also the room next door had construction going on so hammer beating sounds I got to wake up to at 9am. So this vacation we didn't get to sleep in. Make this place your last very last choice and then still stay somewhere else. We've stayed at alot of places through out years of vacations all over the United States and by far the worst place we've ever stayed. I would give this place a -1 star if I could.
