I got a manicure and pedicure here the day before Thanksgiving. The manicure did not set right, and was peeling away from my nails near the cuticles. I went back and asked if they could fix the nails affected, and the woman told me she didn’t see anything wrong with my manicure. I asked her if she thought the manicure looked good, and she said it didn’t look great but it looked good enough. She said she would redo it but that I would have to pay for it. I told her I would be going somewhere else that had higher standards.
Lucas always does an amazing job! The salon is very clean and the atmosphere is great. All of the employees are helpful and nice. I would highly recommend Nails So Dep Folly!
I normally don’t write reviews but felt the need to. My daughter and I walked in one Saturday morning with no appointment. They seated us immediately and got to work. We both had length added to our nails and then dip powder. That was 3 WEEKS ago! Yes 3! My nails haven’t lifted, cracked or broken off! Stunned to say the least. My job is very hands on and I constantly wash my hands. I am truly amazed! My daughter’s nails lasted 2.5 weeks but she picked hers off. We both are so impressed we are going to make them our go to nail salon!
I've been going to Nails so Dep on Folly for about a year now and always receive great service. Maya did my pedicure recently and went above and beyond! It was seriously one of the best, most relaxing pedicures I have ever gotten. Diane does a wonderful job with my nails as well. Love going here!
I went here while vacationing to get a manicure and pedicure. It was one of the best manicures I have ever had! I had a design in mind and she explained what services I would need to get what I wanted done. I got a dip powder and tips and she took a lot of time making sure it was perfect. She did an excellent job making sure the nails looked very natural and weren’t super thick. I also had a great pedicure. It was a little thick and got damaged a couple hours after, but I went in the next day and she quickly fixed it up! Very clean salon, great massage chairs, and kind people- would highly recommend!
I have had both Charlie and Diane do my nails and have been very happy both times. I always get taken right away for my appointment, and the salon is very welcoming and clean.
Yesterday I went to So Dep Nails on Folly for a Mani and a Pedi with Gel Nails. When I walked out the door, I realized that there were lumps in my nails and my toes looked horrible. Of course, I didn’t have time to turn around because my daughter’s game was starting in less than hour. My nails were so unsightly that I couldn’t stop staring at them while at the game. So I got up early to revisit with my receipt to get my nails RE-done. HONESTLY, I did not plan to write a review because I thought it would have been an easy fix. THEIR ATTITUDES WERE AWFUL. The NAIL TECH grumbled and had a MAD FACE the entire time, I said could you please RE do the gel paint and fix the lumps. She responded with the most nasty attitude and did another HORRIBLE job. I will not be returning! I’m not sure if they are under new management but their customer service and skills have gone down significantly. Im not sure they understand that there is a lot of competition on James Island now
I walked in on a Wednesday morning while it was early and slow, and asked to repair one nail, my thumb. It was a plain pink nail with acrylic and the woman who greeted me refused to serve me, saying “we do not do those nails here. ” The rest of my nails were fancy but the thumbs were plain. I pleaded, “can you just fix this one nail? ” She said no, “we cannot do your nail. ”
On top of it I tried to call and speak with the manager they told me the manager is not there all this week I will be saving my receipt and calling every day until the manager arrives
So today is March 2nd and I try to call the establishment they told me I had the wrong number then they also told me they're too busy and hung up on me when I ask to speak with the manager I could not make a new review so I had to add to this one
Not impressed. Got a pedicure and then the lady said another person would do my nails. She sat there for 15 minutes doing nothing until I finally asked how much longer and then told me 15 minutes…I said no thanks paid $75 for a pedicure and left. I won’t be back.
I went here a month ago it was the worst pedicure I have ever had and I still paid 100 bucks for the service I asked for but did not receive. The owner asked to do it over, unfortunately I had dinner plans she asked for my number to call me And reschedule another appointment and never called me.
I have been patronizing this establishment for over a year and today was by far my worst experience. I went in to have a nail repaired and I was asked to come back in 30 minutes to have my nail repaired. I came back within the time I was asked but once I got there the woman told me she did not have time to repair my nail because she had other customers. I am one of your customers too. She filed the nail down and told me to come back after the holidays. I am sorry. I came today because I wanted it done today, before the holidays. I left the shop with my broken nail. I will not patronize this establishment anymore.
Came today to get pedicures for the DW and I. We were promptly greeted and seated next to each other. No waiting though I’m sure that was lucky timing. Two gentlemen worked on our feet. We did the classic which was $39 each. Both gentlemen were efficient and my massage felt great as well as the warm wraps on my feet. The guy did a great job painting my wife’s toenails.she said he was meticulous. Overall great experience! If in the area we would come again.
The man that did my pedicure kept scratching me with his nails and made me bleed while trimming cuticles. He was very rough. He made a mess with the polish all over my feet. Ultimately, he really messed up my big toe but didn’t fix it, just kept painting over it so it was thick and darker than all the other toes.
First of all The lady lied to me and said it would be 35 for my fill and 45 for to get my aunts nails done I get up to the counter and they’re charging me $111.75 also the man that did my nails didn’t even put the clearcoat on all my nails because he was so sporadic at what he was doing it was so unprofessional but I wasn’t gonna say anything I was just gonna go ahead and pay it but I just knew I wasn’t coming back but then I get up there and find out that this woman is overcharging me to boot I get my nails done religiously and will NEVER go there again and I’d advise anyone else to make sure they don’t either
I’ve only been to this establishment twice. First time (Aug 22) I came in for a simple soak-off (dip powder), cut and file. Staff was nice however my nails were super thin and overly sharp. Had to tell the tech a few times that the drill hurt. Last week I went, wasn’t greeted nor acknowledged. After 10 mins I decided to leave.
Had a wonderful experience on my first visit. Very clean and everyone was super friendly. Also, very happy with my SNS manicure. This will be my new spot, no doubt!
EDIT: I called the salon to state my concerns (as they told me to), and the woman hung up on me.
I never post reviews because I don’t like to spread negativity or hurt a business when someone makes a genuine mistake. However today, was the first time I have received the worst customer service.
6 days ago I got dip done. The next night one nail chipped. So I went the next day to get it fixed. (Let me state there was ONE customer in the salon)
They said they didn’t have enough time to fix it and to come back later in the week to fix it.
So, I respectfully understood and scheduled an appointment online for today. I arrived 10 minutes early.
The lady told me it’s a full house and I cannot be taken for another TWO HOURS.
She was rude, told me I should have called instead of scheduling an appointment online.
I am one to spread positivity and to be respectful and kind. And they could not care less that I have been a loyal customer. I didn’t want to even post this, but how upset and disrespected I felt walking out of the salon made me want to make sure another person (who can’t financially pay to get their nails done TWICE in one week to be in my shoes) I wish I could have gotten even asked for a refund or a coupon off for the next visit.
Absolutely the best pedi I have ever gotten. There was lotion then scrubs, then a massage, then hot (hot, hot, hot) towels, then more lotion. And that was just the "basic" package. He cut and shaped my nails and then painted them, and they looked great. Was visiting a friend, so next time I'm in town, I'm totally going back!
Love this place! Did my first time gel yesterday and I had a great experience! Kenny (I hope I have his name right) was amazing! The lady did a good job as well! Love my nails…! Coming back for sure! Thank you for your service!
My daughter and I came in to have our nails done. My 5 y/o got her nails painted My Michael and he was the absolute best with her! Couldn't be more happy! I had my nails done by Nan (I think that's his name). He was so unbelievably talented. My nails were beyond perfect!
Staff was really nice, but we made an appointment for 1: 30. We waited until 2: 10pm for someone to start. My friend had another appointment at 2: 45, and had to cut her pedicure short. My pedicure didn't start until 2: 30, so she was essentially leaving when mine started. Not really the experience we were looking for. I just wish they would've been more truthful about what making an appointment meant. Also, she used the wrong color after I tried to correct her twice.
My friend Captain Jack and I have made several visits to Nails So Dep at the Folly Road location. Each time, we are greeted and taken care of by Michael and Kenny. This is a very clean nail salon and their work is impeccable. We have lots of laughs and feel like family. I highly recommend this salon!:)
