Myrtle Beach Resort

I do not like the overcrowded hotel, inn, motel, and resorts of beach places. Ocean Plaza parking is decent, and the rooms are clean and accommodating (kitchen, clean bathroom, and comfortable).

We stayed in renaissance towers last year and loved it. This year we are in building A. We loved the towers. The condo in building a needs updated at lot! We rent though a time share but love the towers and the property in general. Super close to the beach the kids love all the pools. We love staying here.

Love when we get to stay in our favorite condo 1105 in the Renaissance Tower. Has great sunrise views. Always clean and the host Renea is always so helpful and takes pride in her studio unit.

Bed bugs! We had bed bugs in our room, confirmed by pest control. We were without all our stuff for 24 hours, spent $60 extra to wash everything we brought, spent a whole day doing laundry, and didn’t get a penny back! I was told “well that’s just part of staying at a hotel! ” The managers were very rude and didn’t care at all! Had bites on our bodies. And the mental trauma of sleeping with bugs! Worst place to go! Will never go back! So unless you want to sleep with bugs don’t go!

We stayed in 602 in the towers its a clean room, bed is comfortable. That being said it is small but cute. However this was not a good vacation. We have stayed many time in the tower over the years and have loved it. This time not so much. The construction they are doing has been so loud we cant talk or hear tv. We got this room for the ocean view to enjoy relaxing on the balcony. Except for sunday, that wasnt possible because of the noise. Also no amenities at the tower includibg the side pool. The noise was also bad sitting on the beach. Also if you have any issues walking. Alot of the area is shut off and you will be walking alot. I have copd so this was a big hurdle for me. We wont be staying again. All this needs to be diclosed at time of booking in detail so a person really knows what to expect. I understand that construction was needed but had i known i would have booked elsewhere this time till all construction was completed. Very disappointed!

The Myrtle Beach Resort is neither a hotel or a motel. Many of the units that have the issues you are complaining about are not rented through private owners. You are going to all of the assorted property managers there to take as much of your money as possible. When you go in to pick up your keys and they are rude - that's a property manager. When you have a dump of a condo - that's a property manager. Homeowners aren't going to keep their homes trashy because they use their condos as vacation homes. The owners I know aren't rude and are very responsive to their guests. Look online for a private owner and you will have a much, much better experience the next time.

We arrived at around 4: 35pm Friday afternoon, just a bit after check in time. We found a parking spot just across, against the fence. The street is more like an alley, just enough room for a small car to drive thru.
This resort is NOT ADA compliant, other than at the pools. There are no elevators, there are ramps to the first floor, tight spot in bathrooms IF you were to need to accommodate a wheelchair. Parking is atrocious. If you are lucky enough to find a parking near to your apartment, don't move the car for the duration of your stay. Guaranteed you won't find it again. We had to park 3 buildings away most of the time. Our kids bathroom sink was clogged since the Friday we arrived
my husband mentioned it to the office. The Friday we were leaving still nothing had been done with the sink. There are no dressers therefore, no place to put your folded clothes away. There is a closet in each room you can hang some clothes, bring hangers. There is a pantry room, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and a coffee maker. Walmart neighborhood market all over the place. The resort is in a great location, just wish they were more attentive to the maintenance and the need of their patrons. They do have laundry rooms, two dollars a wash. The lazy river is small in width, 3 feet deep, drinks are allowed. If you are traveling with children they will not enjoy it. The adults take it over and this lazy river does NOT move you along, it requires your movement to keep going forward. Most of the days we were there the lazy river was fill of leaves and clippings from the palm trees. Bring your own beach umbrella and beach chairs. They are very costly, and beach tents other than for babies are NOT ALLOWED. The sand is beautiful, the water is hot. Experience it for yourself. But, take my word and be prepared. E. Gated Resort, feel very safe. Grounds are well- kept & beautiful. Rooms are immaculate. Gazebo for food & drinks. Several pools & Lazy River. Family oriented with Pickleball & Tennis. Great place to stay!

Room 902 is advertised as a room for 6 people, really is only big enough for 2! The amenities are great but the staff is rude!

Was in four seasons for SUNDANCE.first walked in and trim was hanging off like someone tried to break in at some point.countertops, dishwasher and fridge not wiped down at all (sticky and crumbs). Floor FILTHY, toilet paper holder falling off.shower moldy.looked like someone ate a powdered donut on carpet.cable didn't work in bedroom.balcony and hallway smell of mold with visible mold.and we had the unpleasant surprise of a cockroach! Please, read the reviews and DONT be as naive as me and think they're lying!

all we get is a week added to return as if we would ever want to!

We've been coming to the resort for years. It just seems to be going downhill the past few times. We are in the B building this time and our room is real dumpy and the air doesn't seem to work that good. Just seems dirty. I do like the beach here but this might be our last time.

MBR has become a home away from home. This is our destination every year and the family loves it. Beach, pool or splash pad/lazy river, we always make the best of our week long vacation!

I have been to Myrtle Beach Resort 5 times in the last 8 years, and this time has been the worst experience so far and I will not be returning because of it. We used to love coming here, the location was great, room was nice and it was just a great place to bring the family for our vacation, but that’s not the case anymore. The amount of money we paid for the condition of the rooms is ridiculous. The rooms are not the cleanest upon check in, one room smelled musty and mildewy, while the other had a STRONG smell of urine. The property just looks really run down and not taken care of anymore. It’s been very disappointing and next time we will spend our hard earned money elsewhere.

It will serve its purpose. The pool options aren’t great but you can walk quickly to the beach. Nothing bad to say but nothing great either. We only slept there and hung out at another resort. Also fyi the big tube and pool you will see, is not apart of the property. It’s the camp ground next door.

What a dumpster fire of a trip. Would NOT recommend. There was trash all over the resort grounds. The majority of the amenities were not available. We stayed in the tower closest to the beach, one of the elevators was out of order and getting an elevator when we were leaving was near impossible. Families were lined up on every floor waiting to get out. In our condo, there were hardly any outlets and some didn’t work. The entire place just needs to be torn down a rebuilt. Do not waste your money. This will be our last trip to Myrtle. Very disappointed.

Room was nice. What they told us on the phone compared to what we actually got was a lie told use we has ocean view no all we seen was tennis courts & the other camp ground beside it. Also told us the walk wasn't to far to the beach was lie. Don't get me wrong some rooms are near the beach but the room we had we had to drive every time to the beach to far for me or my daughter to walk when I have a bad knee & she is in physical therapy for her hip & knee. If they would allow you to rent a golf cart for the room that are way to far from the beach it would have gotten a better rate. But I will not be using them again. Not walking friendly when u have kids with you u will have to drive if u get the building close to the front of the road.

The lady at the front desk answering the phones is extremely rude. I called on Sunday morning at 11 am 8-6-23 to ask a question about parking, and I couldn't believe how she was talking to me. She told me maybe I should stay somewhere else. All I did was politely ask a question about parking another vehicle there, and I honestly can't believe this lady still has a job with the way she talks to guests. She made me want to stay somewhere else. She had a raspy voice. I really hope this employee is reprimanded.

Very crowded. One elevator out. Adverised pool steam room sauna. None worked at our building. Also said pizza place and store. Both not there. Expected more from advertised.

Stayed in A222, with the exception of inadequate kitchen utensils, the condo was clean, no bed bugs, could use some updated couches and balcony chairs. The resort itself was very well maintained, the pools were clean and beautiful.

We stayed in unit 545 A building
Owner could spend some money on small upgrades but was still a nice place. Elevator broke down 3x in the week we were there but was fixed pretty fast. Mbr is a nice place but I think you have better views from the b building or tower building
