Love's Travel Stop

As a truck driver who has been all over the country, I hope you are proud to know your loves is the worst I’ve seen. The employees are lazy and rude. All of the drinks were either out of carbonation or syrup. The tea was sour and the lemonade was out. Maybe I should invest purchasing diesel at pilot!

This place usually isn't a bad store, but this morning the customer service was pretty bad. I got ready to be rung up at the counter and there was no one there. Had to wait a good few minutes and one man did show up, and he just took his sweet time to make it over behind the counter. Then for the grand finale the guy could clearly see which side of the counter I was waiting at and he goes to the opposite side forcing me to move to him! I mean come on really?

Tall skinny chick decided to start cleaning women's restroom as they got busy, yelled at people coming in who didn't know. Yikes. McDonald's didn't get order right and food cold but at least they were nicer.

Store associate Anthony in truck care acted as if he didn’t see me when I walked in when they opened. He hid in the back for 30 mins while I had the store call him to the front several times. He then came with an nasty attitude as if I was bothering him to tell me that they wasn’t” really”open yet which was a lie. Terrible customer service over here!

As a truck driver this is one of the most unfriendly loves I go to. They don't acknowledge you when you enter. They're always on the phone or watching TV on there phone. And half the time I have to ask for a receipt. Very unprofessional almost everything. Especially the diesel desk.

My husband and I have traveled back and for the from NC to FL 4 times in the last three weeks. Love’s has always been our go to stop for everything. But over the last three weeks, we’ve gotten to see how bad Love’s has become. Rt 40, Rt 77, Rt 26, Rt 95… bathrooms filthy, smells like urine… dog parks not maintained, filthy… coffee stations filthy, no creamer except powdered creamer… is this a joke? Three fuel stops, each way for a total of 24 fuels purchases, average purchase $70 for a total of about $1,700 worth of fuel in three weeks. In particular, this Love’s in Columbus, SC and another in Brunswick, GA (Rt 95, exit 29) not only have been filthy, not stocked, and have held a pre-auth of $175 at the pump… they have horrible customer service from their staff. An older woman with purple and guy named Dee, absolute trash. Luckily, there are brand new QT’s popping up all over the place, right next store in Brunswick, and we’ll give our business to them.

They have the absolute worst customer service! I mean I understand you don’t want to be there but at least speak and move with a sense of urgency! I waited at the counter for about 10 minutes just for the lady to come up with an attitude! I said “Hey ma’am” she said “Is this all? ” Does it hurt that bad to say hello back?

Sunny was real rude. Hunched over the counter, and rolled her eyes when I walked up. I assumed she'd greet me so I knew which one of the two registers to go to, but just displayed her hand along the counter to put my stuff down.

Ignored me while the card reader didn't read my card gossiping about how that "short girl that works morning made my period early".

Didn't offer me a receipt but I didn't see the sticker where I'd get a $1 for not offering a receipt.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but I used to work for Love's, and no one on my team would've ever treated anyone like that.

Almost gave a 2 star for cleanliness, but that felt irredeemable.

Drivers make sure you watch your trailer when you drop it to pull your truck in the shop. Your trailer can be towed. I came back to mine with a yellow tag on it

Didn't stay long. But bathrooms were clean, love the layout (different from your regular lives) staff that was cleaning the well stocked food, beverage & roller area were nice.

Nastiness in the shower. Supposed to be cleaned after every driver. I can't tell by the spiders and trash someone before left there

I always love Love's! They have some very nice fulsa blankets at a great price! We bought four of them - one each in green, red, purple, and tan! They've been 2 for $14.99 for over two weeks and they're very thick and good quality!

I didn't feel buy gas because they were 20 cents per gallon higher than BP across street.
They do have Church's and McDonalds thou Churches is good chicken.

Inside was very clean and also the bathrooms. The people also was amazingly pleasant and helpful in the gas station part. The McDonald's employees was awful and very rude and standing around not trying to be helpful and had people waiting for simple orders like coffee for over 20 minutes and when confronted they was very rude.

When talking to the cashier. She was on the phone and wasnt very friendly. She was more into he phone call then taking care of customer.

They usually have some of the cheapest gas on the interstate and a restaurant connected to the truck stop. They have a large snack selection

Got truck pm done here. I wanted just the two fuel filters and two oil filters changed. After 6 hrs (4.5 actually in the shop) they charged me 478 dollars, They would NOT break down the parts costs, instead just billed a total of 397 for "oil change". Very unprofessional and I will NEVER use loves for mechanical work again. Should of been a 30 min oil change, 1 hr tops.

Big guy was cleaning the showers fast but they were never calling, when he got to the 4th one I asked him why are they not calling them he said the people at the front has to do it, thing is there were nobody at the front. In fact there hadn’t been anybody there for at least 30 min, I know that because there was someone calling on the scale for a long time. I knocked on the security window for him but there was nobody in there either. Big guy had to stop cleaning the showers and go to the computer himself for it to finally start assigning showers and thats when the front desk people finally came. The shower was clean but they were using packing tape trying to stop the toilet from leaking I dont know why but the store smells weird.

Stayed here over the weekend for a 34. Trash cans in the parking lot were overflowing an wasn't emptied the entire time. Bathrooms weren't clean an inside smelled terrible. Parking lot was full of dropped trailers an locals parking their cars to save spots. McDonald's was closed on Sunday. Employees did more standing around talking then anything else I saw. Will never stop at this location again.

Food was ok. They ran out of chicken but the guy said it was coming up instead of him giving me all fresh chicken he mixed it

1. No half and half
2. No Colombian coffee bean to cup
3. Cashier said your system is down to use my points from my rewards card
4. She asked me to pay with credit card! (But system is down!). So interesting!
5. I paid for all with credit card- I didn’t get any point!
Very bad service at all!

Dude talked so low couldn't even hear what he was saying. Also, makes no sense I walked in paid with cash for my fuel, they told me I couldn't get a receipt until I pumped my fuel. So I had to pump fuel and walk back in for a receipt because the pump also had printer failure.

Out of all the love I've been to this one was the most rude. The drink machine wasn't working. The cappuccino machine wasn't working. And out of all of them this one had the The most disgusting dog rest stop. Loves you can do better.

I like loves. Cool stuff.great for travelers.good coffee. During daytime hours I like stopping here for the cold drink dispensers as they have the "flavor shots" for the drinks; cherry, lemon, vanilla, etc. Last time I went though, the two flavors I like were not loaded and I couldn't add lemon or lime to my Coke. I was a little disappointed as that's the draw for me rather than go across the street and use their cold drink dispenser.

Worst love’s location. Longer wait time for showers bcz they don’t clean it right away after it vacant and no staff member care about it. All drain comes out from the restrooms

Had the pleasure of dealing with COLBY this morning. I guess he started out mad because after waiting a couple of minutes at the counter with nobody to help me, I calmly said “HELLO” to let someone know I was there - I get it, it’s 3: 30AM.

Here’s the issue though - I walked in with $9 in cash. I asked for Marlboro Light 100’s. He tells me they are $7 and change. I hand him $8 and He hands me a pack of “Gold Label” 100s and change and I told him this was the wrong pack. He tells me they’ve been redesigned. I repeated - no, that’s a different pack.

He continues to argue and I tell him to just give me a refund and I’ll go somewhere else - no biggie. He does NOT like that. He angrily processes the refund, hands me $8 in one’s back and snatches my $1 out of my hands. When I ask him for my other dollar back that he took from me, he tells me to get out of the store and that I can come back and deal with the manager!

I literally stop here every day to buy the SAME pack of cigarettes. I am honestly shocked - but I guess I’m just glad I’m not Colby lol.

Not a bad place. Macdonald and Chester’s in the building for fried chicken. Anything else need to pay attention for mapping or cleaning the atmosphere cause. It is dirty always
