Landry's Seafood House

On our last day in Myrtle Beach on vacation, we looked for a seafood restaurant that had more to over than flounder, salmon, and grouper as we are pescaterian. We lucked up and stumbled upon Landry's and boy, were we glad. The menu featured various different fish options. We ordered the crab, spinach, and artichoke dip. I would rate it a 7. My husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, which he enjoyed. On the other hand, I ordered the redfish (never had before) with spinach & mash potatoes. It was cooked to perfection. Flacky with a subtle butter taste. The cinnmon bread pudding was a delicious ending to our meal. Besides the food, our server TY was great! He was very professional and attentive. He answered all of our questions and was knowledgeable of the menu. Overall, if we vacation in Myrtle Beach again, based on TY service and the food choices we had, we definitely would visit again.

Note: You should not offer garlic bread at a seafood restaurant unless to accompany pasta. Take the garlic butter off and just serve the warm French bred for dinner service.

I had a great experience here! The food was incredible and our server, Lewis, was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Usually we are very happy with the food but this time it was just ok. I really wanted the shrimp scampi but they were out of angel hair pasta. I had the filet but it didn't have much flavor. Tim was our waiter and he was great.

By far the best meal I ate while in Myrtle Beach for a week (and I don't like seafood). The atmosphere, drinks, location, and friendly staff were also great. Big thanks to Landry's for restoring my faith in tourist-area food, sooooo delicious (specifically the chicken + mushrooms and the caramel bourbon apple butter cake, yum)!

The atmosphere was nice but the food was not so good. I had the buttermilk shrimp dinner. The shrimp was just ok but the French fries and onion straws were swimming in grease. Left with an upset stomach. Way too pricey for the quality of food.

We ordered a couple fresh fish dishes and when they arrived to the table my sword fish was fishy and my wife's fish was a child portion size and her rice was dry and cold. So we complained to the manager and she asked if I'd like another fish which is fine but I sat there with no food in front of me for 15 minutes waiting as my wife at her meal. The manager didn't offer anything to us. We asked the server to swap the rice for mashed potatoes and he charged us for them. I definitely would not return to eat pre- frozen fish for the amount of money they charge and the lousy customer service.

Literally just left there with our food un touched for these reasons:
Upon being sat down, it was freeeeezing. Uncomfortably cold. It took almost 10 minutes for the waiter to come greet us and get our drink order.
Our calamari appetizer came out about 35 minutes after ordering, (wait staff didn't bring it out), and it was cold. Not even room temperature. Cold. And it didn't have any artichoke (says it comes with it). I let the waiter and manager know. But nothing was done about it. Just a sorry.
We asked that our food be brought out with to go containers because it was too cold to sit in there and eat. He brought the bill and rang me up. I then realized I never got my clam chowder but was charged for it. Got it taken off the bill. Also, I realized that my meal didn't come with the corn fondue. Still paid full price for cold and incomplete food.
And it was my wife's birthday dinner. Most disappointing experience that we've ever had at a restaurant. Especially one that expensive.

All around a bad experience. I hate to say the service was bad, because I don't believe it's all his fault, but it was bad, asking for ketchup, plates but cleared even after apps, forgetting a salad and there was more.

We made a reservation for 7 at 5pm. We got there at 445 and I they were confused, there was maybe 40 people in the restaurant that holds over 200. It took then 10 minutes to figure out how to seat us. Mind you the few parties there were probably 3 parties of 8+, so Myrtle Beach, at Broadway, they should know about larger parties.

Food was good for most of us. A couple dinners came out cold, and they were fish, so it wasn't enjoyable. We let them know and they took it off and gave a couple desserts which was great and very happy for that.

Just overall not a great time, wish it was better

Got seated right away and then took 10 minutes or longer to get a server. Drinks and app and ordering were ok. Then we didn’t see our waiter for 40 minutes. Grabbed another waiter who said they got the manager for us. We saw a couple of managers but they looked away from us and went the opposite direction. Our waiter finally came out and said he was still waiting on our salmon. Finally received food a few minutes later. We could tell majority of food had been sitting under heating light. Food was decent but not worth the experience

I was really excited about their Happy Hour. $6 mojito and delicious spinach and crab dip! I enjoyed that so much, we went back twice in 2 weeks. Sadly, our 2nd experience was not so good. We enjoy sitting at the bar and have both been servers and bartenders in the past so we completely understand being slammed and in the weeds but the bartender looked miserable and was not pleasant today. They have a $6 mango mojito.last time I ordered that without mango and sugar and was charged $6. This time I ordered the same drink and was charged $9.50 so I asked for it to be corrected and was told he was too busy and last time we should have been charged $9.50 as well and he gave our credit card back.basically saying.too bad. I was hoping this could be a new great happy hour spot for us, especially as locals but due to this experience, unfortunately we will not be back.

Food was decent, the stream of individuals strolling through made it entertaining. The server made it clear it was time to go. He must of asked us 7 times how we were doing in about 5 minutes after he cleared dessert. We get it, but as we haven't seen our friends in about 9 years we wanted to enjoy their company, allow us that.please.

Had high expectations based on my previous visit to Landry's in New Orleans.

Service at Mrytle Beach Landru's was poor, did not receive what I requested. Food was cold. The roux in the gumbo tasted burnt.

Worst place to go to eat. Server was not talkative or helpful. The AC was blasting and our food got cold fast. We waited one hour for the food to come after ordering. Food has no flavor at all! Seasonings are not there don’t waste your time here just go somewhere else!

Getting in early for the early bird specials and lunch special was great. A lot of food for one person. Everything was yummy.

Very unprofessional i went in with 11 people. At first we couldn’t come in with our drinks so we left then we went back. Then she said it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait and we could
Clearly see the same table was available. If she didn’t want to service us she could have just said that

Our server made this visit 5 star. We had no reservation and upon arrival we were told by the hostess that we would have to sit at the bar because they were understaffed. One of the servers asked us to sit in her area and I'm so glad we did. Our server was phenomenal.

Food is delicious, higher than a giraffe's BOOTIE though. Was very disappointed they didn't have parking validation with all that money spent.

The staff was friendly, but they were understaffed. Make a reservation beforehand if you want a table, otherwise you'll have to sit at the bar. The oyster poboy was really good, and so was the spinach, crab, and artichoke dip.

The wait for food was longer than it should have been even if they were short staffed. We were 1 of 3 tables that were being served. However, the food was worth the wait.

These people with their negative reviews should stick to the buffeterias and pizza parlors. We ate at Landry’s last night and were seated right away, served promptly and the food and service were exceptional. Yes, they were understaffed but you’d never know it. The entire staff brought their A game and deserve nothing short of praise. Some people need to be more understanding about world conditions and stop thinking that because they’re on vacation the world revolves around them. Millions of workers have chosen to remain unemployed. Let’s celebrate those that are working and trying their best to do right by us. We are looking forward to dining at Landry’s again tonight!

Went on a Thursday night. The wait was short, our server friendly and sweet, and the food was fabulous. It was moderately full, maybe 70%. Our server apologized that the kitchen was a little behind but I didn’t notice at all. We had yummy calamari which was top notch. We each had a salad that was fresh and well prepared. I had the stuffed flounder and my husband had snapper. Both were good portions and delicious. We each requested double broccoli and no rice with our meals - and we each had nearly a head of broccoli. I would definitely return.

It's "ok". We ordered online and pickup was at 515, and it wasn't ready on time. My bill was just short of $200.and the lobster was chewy, and the veggies needed a little more steam. The calamari breading was bland, but the sauces were ok. I could swear the pie is boxed, but key lime varies anyway. However, the prices do not reflect quality or serving size - totally not worth the hype.

We requested outdoor dining as we have 2 kids too young to be vaccinated. Apparently they closed their outdoor dining but were seating inside at 100% capacity during Corona. Makes no sense to me and I would have booked somewhere else if anyone had called me after I made the reservation or if the info was on their site. We were informed when we arrived and tried to call around but by that time the shortest outdoor wait we could find was 90 minutes. Contract tracing will be easy at least.

Turned away because "they weren't seating without reservations" even though the place was empty an hour before closing. But we were told we could sit at the crowded bar. This trend in Myrtle Beach is why I'll never be back.

Kinda over price for what you get soup came cold with skin layer on top from sitting for $9.00 that sucks, service slow. Wasn't that busy probably won't visit again

Told on phone walk in accepted till we arrived then told they couldn't seat us.when I said we were told yes.she walked away and brought out a very very rude manager.we have never missed coming here on our vacations.but it won't happen anymore

Was excited to eat here, and was immediately very disappointed upon being greeted by what must have been the rudest hostess ever encountered. Whoever was working the host stand today (Sunday 07/21 at 3pm) suggested that we leave Broadway at the Beach altogether and go eat at a McDonald’s since I had a sleeping baby in my arms. How RUDE!

Had the shrimp, fries and onion strings and it was DELISH! Our server was very nice and helpful and so was the server whom was training with her! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Awful. Small portions and over priced. A new chief might be in order for this restaurant. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. I am a local and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Had heard wonderful things about this restaurant so was very disappointed when my meal arrived.
I ordered the stuffed flounder with rice. The flounder was bland and the filet was tiny. The stuffing was bland and soggy. It looked like something from a boiling bag. The rice also had no taste. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The staff and manager was really pleasant. Unfortunately the food was subpar at best. We had the stuffed shrimp with onion rings/strings starter. The thin onion rings were highly greasy and the stuffed shrimp seemed as if they just came out of the microwave and was also very greasy. My girlfriend had the cedar plank salmon. It was over cooked, under seasoned, and the rice was not seasoned either. I had the stuffed mahi with rice. My fish was also over cooked and lacked seasoning. The sauce for the mahi was broke and the rice underwhelming.

I love eating at Landry's bc the food is delicious and the service has always been professional. I suggest trying the Zucchini strips, stuffed white fish with Mushroom gravy, the house salad, and the Gumbo is my favorite.

The food is not cooked to order; cold steaks, unevenly cooked steaks. You name it, the result is poor, poor. It’s ashamed when you spend good money for poor food. Find another place.

I had Redfish served with Broccoli. It tasted divine. The staff were very professional and polite. I'll visit again definitely.

Two stars and a big thank you to your hostess for ensuring we had an excellent dining experience at ANOTHER restaurant.
The hostess indicated we would be happier eating at McDonalds up the street due to having a small child in our party, claiming a 45 min minimum wait to be seated, which would not have been an issue due to the many attractions and shops in the area.
We ignored the hostess’ less than friendly suggestion and drove to Lobster House instead. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Food was delicious. Lobster House is a only short drive away, and WELL worth it. Eat at Lobster House instead. They will appreciate your business.

I got grilled shrimp on a caesar salad and it was really tasty. The salad could have had a few more shrimp, however. My husband got the fried shrimp. It is his favorite and he’s never been disappointed. Salads and bread appear to no longer come with the meals.

Landry’s is among many places in the Myrtle Beach area that are short handed on staff. The restaurant was nearly empty due to this.
