Hotel is in a great location. Staff was friendly the ones we met. Would've liked a continental breakfast. The bar is very nice are drinks were good. Didn't like we couldn't go through the hotel to get to see the sunrise. Had to walk around it. No foot washer except in the pool area which was closed early morning. We had problems with balcony door twice which they fixed in a timely manner. Didn't like the pot smell though. Loved the oceanview!

Update 9/17/23 my husband & I went back and stayed here for a week & loved it again!

Let me start off this review by saying we my son and I traveled from Upstate NY to SC to visit family & take a small detour from family to visit Myrtle Beach during our Spring Break (April 7,2023 through April 15,2023). After reading hundreds of reviews for hotels on the Beach strip & being mortified at how many negatives there were, I was very worried about staying anywhere in Myrtle Beach.

I have two concerns when choosing a hotel: the first being the safety of their parking arrangements due to being a female alone with my son and the second being any mwntion of bed bugs. My wants for a hotel are to be affordable, on the beach, and close to attractions, so we wouldn't need to drive places and find/pay for parking. The rooms themselves do not need to be fancy or luxurious because I'm there to enjoy the beach, not sit in my room.
This hotel did not disappoint &quite honestly, I am very impressed by the location, affordability, staff & accommodations. Check-in is at 4 pm, which is when my son and I arrived at the hotel. Upon our arrival, we went to the lobby to check in, where you could visibly see the two staff members behind the counter seemed stressed. When it was our turn to check in, the woman behind the counter was very sweet, but again, you could hear the stress in her voice. (This made me feel terrible for her because being stressed out while working is never good for an employees well being) I gave her my name and license and reservation. With a slight shakiness in her voice, she began to explain that because of Spring break, guests not checking out on time, and staffing shortage our room was not cleaned and ready for our arrival yet. This didn't upset me in any way because, again, I'm not there to sit in my room. I asked if this means I need to leave the property to find/pay for public parking until our room is ready? She responded with No, we will check you in, and you can park your car, & you can use all of our facilities (such as the pools, hit, and tiki bar) we will call you when your room is ready and give you your room keys.

Ok great! It was a long drive and we needed to use the restrooms; which to my surprise, they had bathrooms available that were not in the hotel rooms themselves, & it made me so happy. We finished the check-in process & got our parking pass. There are three parking lots for this hotel. The first is right at the hotel with maybe 10 spaces that are not reserved for checking-in and loading/unloading. The next one is direct across the street, well lit at night and a very easy access. The third is again across the next street over from the second one, which I did not see to give a review on. We were lucky enough to get a spot right at hotel and did not have to use the other lots across the street.

My son & I walked the strip, got dinner & did some shopping. About 2 hours after our arrival (6pm) the same woman who checked us in called me to say our room was ready. Upon opening the door, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean & nice our room was! The beds were made so nicely, the bathroom & kitchen area were pristine! Not a single evidence of any pests whatsoever!

The lady that checked us in called us over one of our times coming through the lobby & thanked us for being one of the only guests to not come back to yell, complain or give them a hard time about the room not being ready at exactly 4pm. They even gave us a small credit to our room to use at the tiki bar or the breakfast Cafe!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL & PLAN TO STAY HERE AGAIN!

One thing travelers need to know and understand is that in the south Palmetto bugs (in the North known as cockroaches) are common household pests, unlike in the north where they are a sign of filth. With that being said anytime anyone travels anywhere when you return home you should always leave your luggage outside for 24 hours, after which you unpack outside and immediately put everything into your dryer on the highest setting for at least one hour.
