Hilton Head Diner Restaurant

The atmosphere was really the only thing good at this place. We just looked here after eaten what we called supposedly Christmas dinner. And was charged for a meal that we did not even get we ordered A. Reubin sandwich and was charged for the whole meal. When I looked at the menu, it said it was supposed to come with fries or some side. And the guy charged my husband $15 for a Reubin sandwich. My husband even argued with the guy about charging us $15 for just a sandwich. And he said that that was all it come with. But that's not what it said on the menu. I ordered the meat loaf and it was awful. It was the awfulest tasting food I have ever tasted. I would not recommend this place. The food is so bland it's ridiculous. Do not eat here Awful awful awful! Food

We came here a couple of times on our week long trip to Hilton Head. The first time we came in on Christmas day and had a wonderful breakfast & lunch. We gad the banana fosters pancakes, ribs, pancake big breakfast, and the gluten free stuffed french toast. The second time we came in I tried the gluten free blueberry pancakes and they were delicious too!

Staff and service were great! The big breakfast was tasty—VERY good pancakes. Portions are generous, but my patty melt was a bit bland. There was no condiment—just melted cheese and grilled onions.

My daughter and I stopped in here, mostly based on its location. She had a waffle that was to die for. It was a malted waffle with only butter and syrup. I had a monte Cristo sandwich, which was wonderful, especially with a little jelly put on it. We ordered baked mac & cheese to share. We liked it so much. We took my husband there two days later!

Old fashioned diner with lots of classic items from malts to melts. We went around 2: 45pm on a Wednesday in July. Our son ordered the silver dollar pancakes and said, "yummy" which is compliment because he's picky. I ordered the Disco fries and added bacon. They were delicious. The hubby ordered the Navajo wrap and like it, just said it needed something creamy added like ranch. Our waitress was very kind and kept the refills coming. Food came out very quickly. Only complaint is the prices, but that's pretty standard for the island. We've been here every visit to HHI and have always had a good experience. We will be back for sure!

So for starters this place screams “Jack of all trades, master of none” little bit of everything on the menu literally. Burgers, pasta, Greek/Mediterranean, breakfast foods, seafood, etc too much stuff! Got a burger, the buns were soggy and moist from the grease, staff and our waitress was very sweet but messed up our order several times before getting it right.the prices are a little too high for the value/quality. For two people- drinks, and two burgers with no additional sides/substitutions was $42 before taxes and tip. Now the look of the diner is so cool, definitely gives off the 50’s vibe, cool decor and music. But that’s the only thing 5 star worthy

We were sat immediately on a Sunday morning, but service was a bit slow after that. Looked like our waitress was having to handle a large number of tables. All the food was good.

Was not at all what i expected. Was disappointed with the food. Some of it even tasted off a bit. And i love me a good diner. But this was very disappointing.

While visiting HH over the last few years we have made it a point to stop in at least one or two meals. It has one of the largest menu selections I've seen for a restaurant this size. Everything from breakfast to dinner is delicious. They accept the HH coupon dollars.

Late dinner after a long day on the road. Friendly staff and food was good. Relaxed atmosphere and had the game on the TV. Sadly my team lost LOL just a short walk from my hotel on a cool night. Perfect ending to my first night in Hilton Head.

Closest thing to a Jersey diner but cheaper! We had breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our omelets. Staff is outstanding, pleasant, efficient, and attentive. If you're on HHI, you should give it a try

Honestly, it probably one of the best diners I've been to. The food was faultless, the staff, a little stretched, but very good. The fact I've been twice, "that's two times for you Americans! " and I'm going back for breakfast tomorrow, kinda says it all. A+

We always stop here for breakfast on our way home from Hilton Head.we have always had a good experience here, but not this time. They had about 1/3 of their dining room closed, so we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Then it took about 10 minutes for our waitress to come to our table once seated. Once we placed our order, it took almost 30 minutes to get our order which was only eggs, pancakes, omelets, etc. Food was as expected, but really shouldn't have taken that long. I'm assuming like many other restaurants these days they are short-staffed, but resulted in a frustrating experience.

Horrible customer service! Host was rude and ignored us when we first walked in…the waitress Karen had an attitude…the worst one there…super aggressive. I understand people go through things but it doesn’t get you the right to treat people rude and disrespectful. Great customer service goes a long way.

Laid back, casual atmosphere. What an Awesome place! The staff was great and the food was on point! The menu is HUGE.and they serve breakfast all day ️

Wow, I had the Grilled Pork Chops with apple sauce and vegetables and was very impressed, I will definitely recommend and visit them again. Great food and great prices

Service was great, food was delicious and price is reasonable. If you're in Hilton Head, best come get your breakfast, lunch or dinner here

Food was good. Manager or owner pitched a fit and punched the counter and threw menus because of them being short staffed.

We were there on a Tuesday afternoon between 2: 00 and 3: 00 in total there were probably 10 people counting Us in the whole restaurant. I hate to complain about poor service because they might have been short-staffed but it took forever to get our food and for her to come back around to bring us our drinks once we finally got our food my hamburger was burnt dry and not tasty maybe it was an off day for these folks I don't know but that day at that time we did not receive good service or good food.

Food was average. Plentiful but restaurant was so cold the food got cold very quickly. Cold eggs and pancakes and a “hot” sandwich cold.not satisfying.

The best diner food around for sure. We stopped while visiting from Beaufort and where pleasantly surprised. Very diverse menu as diner food should be and everything we had was excellent! We’ll definitely be back.

The food was awesome, and we had great service. All four of us had breakfast, and the meals were massive and tasty. It was nice to find a diner in Hilton Head.

Don’t order to go they refuse to take our order we called they said they were to busy we drove there plenty of seats available and when I ask to make an order to go they made faces I waited 20 minutes no l e took my order the manager dint even care

Service is good.food is great and prices and food selections are very good. Clean and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it.

My food was just blah. No nothing as far as taste. My eggs were over cooked, the hash browns were burnt. My toast was burnt, and didn't even have butter on it. Over $30.00 for two people to have breakfast.

We got in just before the brunch rush. The service was good. The food was tasty. But I can't help but think COVID19 has an impact on this Diner. I look forward to visiting again after the pandemic.

We liked our 1st visit here so much we came back again the next morning. Had our 2nd visit been our first we wouldn’t have came back the next day. 1st day service was great and food was good with the big French toast breakfast as the standout. 2nd visit service was non-existent and had to reach out to others servers for help. Had to get up in search of syrup for French toast while it was sitting there getting cold. We will try it again next time we are in the area.

We had a great working remote experience all week at the Marriott Resort and Spa and came to Hilton Head diner for an amazing breakast- challah bread french toast, grits, bacon, sausage, eggs, tea & coffee! Our host Sherry provided excellent service! I advise all to come here for a great breakfast. The other pics posted doesn't do this place justice for the great experience we had! And we are #pickyeaters!

The service was had with a smile and we received a hot meal. I was realistic about my expectations so i wasn't disappointed. We will visit again while in Hilton Head island.

We were introduced to the AWESOME Diner by my daughter who eats here whenever she visits Hilton Head. I must say, this place ROCKS! We've eaten here twice in 3 days and will be back in the morning for Breakfast! The menu has everything you could want with a very wide range from Breakfast to Dinner. The service is great, the prices are great, and the food is EXCELLENT! This place is definitely on the top of our list of favorites when visiting Hilton Head.and should be one of yours too!

I do not understand how this place has so many stars. From beginning to end, my visit was a disaster. The staff is unfriendly and unwelcoming. They made me feel like it was an inconvenience I was there, at 11am for breaker. The crab cakes in the crab cake benedict were probably 3 days past their expiration date. Their computer wasn't connecting when I tried to pay and they acted like it was my fault, and no apology after it finally connected for saying it declined when clearly it did not. Altogether, avoid this place there are way better breakfast spots on the island.

Food was good, service was good, place was clean. I could not stand the manager. He yelled at ALL the workers continually. Clean this, no not like that and on and on. We, my wife and I will NOT return. Plenty of other good places to eat at and not have to listen to him. Bye

Great food, good prices, good service, good atmosphere, centrally located. A family tradition every time we visit Hilton Head Island.

My family and I have come here many times in the past while on vacation. It's a great diner. We ordered breakfast foods, such as omelettes, grits, pancakes, etc, and they were all very enjoyable. The tables were clean and the staff were very friendly.
We will be returning.
