I travel from Virginia to shop at this store. Today they lost me as a customer because they refused to replace a defective 2 oz bottle.

Me & My Husband Participated In A Candle Making Class For Our Visit To Greenville This Past Weekend. The Class Was So Much Fun & We Love Our Candles. The Only Thing That I Wish Was Different Was That We Didn’t Have To Pay For 2 Experiences. We Initially Wanted To Make 1 Candle Together To Keep As A Souvenir From Greenville But We Both Had To Make Our Own Individual Candle. We Still Enjoyed The Experience & He Absolutely Loves His Candle! We Bought A Few Things After The Class & All I Want To Say Is Their “Butt Naked” Scent Is Wonderful. As Soon As I Run Out I Will Be Ordering More! 10/10 Will Visit Again If I Ever Revisit GVL!

We took the candle-making class. It provided a lot of interesting information about the candle-making process and about their business. They gave us lots of time to plan our scents and colors. We wrote our own labels and mixed everything ourselves. You can choose from almost any scent in the entire store, which is an extensive selection. The staff was super helpful and friendly. We made 10oz candles, which is amazing for the price of the class also considering the materials and instruction. We had a fabulous time and would really recommend this store!

Signed up for the candle making class and ended up having a great time. It’s entirely hands on besides the wax pouring, we dyed and perfumed the candles ourselves and created our own labels, our instructor was very informative as he gave us a tour of the micro-factory, we’ll sign up again!

I love this place a lot more than the commercial yankee candle and bath and body works. I did the refill last time and I loved it got it in a few days. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The soy candle burns cleaner and last a whole time longer and I don’t think the cost is that much more. Definitely a must visit and there are so many wonderful scents. I would also like to take that candle making class one of these days. Have a blessed day.

I took their candle making class with a dear friend of mine visiting from Florida, and we both loved it!

I booked our spots two months in advance, at $29 per person. We arrived fifteen minutes early and took the opportunity to choose our scents. The class was such a fun and unique experience, and our guide was incredibly friendly!

We were able to pick-up our finished candles two hours after the class ended, which was a HUGE convenience- it made the rest of our trip so much easier!

Definitely recommend to anyone on the fence, or to anyone who loves trying new things!

Stumbled upon this place when visiting last year. Now live here and have bought nearly every flavor. The absolute best smelling candles. As the name says, they use soy which is a much cleaner and healthier wax for candles. Great burn time and cute jars. Highly recommend the candle making class as well.

Candles here are awesome. Plenty of choices but the prices are steep. They also have candle making classes which sounds extremely fun and may try that next time I’m in town. I love how many different varieties they have, many of which are unique. I like the atmosphere too.

Amazing experience! The candle making class was fun and very informative. I'm unable to remember the instructor and the lady in training, however, they were amazing too. Will definitely be back! The candle smells are amazing too.

Loveeee everything. The fact that you can recycle your old empty candle jar to refill after using it and just endlessly recycle. So amazing.

Candle Making Class!

We had so much fun taking this class! I surprised my husband with this for his birthday (he loooooves their candles). It's super reasonably priced considering you get to take a candle home and share the experience together. The teacher was very funny and knowledgable about candle making and the processes used at this store. You get to pick a scent from the store and color however you would like, making a unique color! The instructor did a great job guiding us, and don't worry if you don't know anything about color theory- he was able to give great guidance about achieving the colors we wanted! We learned so much about candle making, and after learning their processes, it makes me feel so much better buying soy candles from GSCC considering how many toxins tend to be in grocery store candles! I highly recommend this class! Honestly, I wouldn't mind taking it again for the fun of it!

Greenville is one of my favorite spots to spend a long weekend! Lots to see, do & great foodie places to check out. Greenville Soy Candle is located on Main St downtown district. Parking kind be a task of course, but they do have street parking and garages thru out the city. I made reservation online to guarantee our spot in the candle making class. I believe they teach other classes also, check them out online for details. Pricing was very reasonable, not overpriced for what you receive in class. The instructor and employees where very kind and knowledgeable, answering all our questions. Our class had only 6 people in it, which was great, do to Covid. You will have alot of scent choices to choose from. Each person was able to make one candle per person, we came back before closing time to pick up.

Yes I do recommend, if your in the local area to attend. Great way to have a dinner date or maybe group meet up for some fun.

Completely love this place! Literally a breath of fresh air patronizing this shop. Will definitely be one of my must visit shops when in SC until then their website will have to do for their amazing lotions, scrubs and candles.

These are the best soy candles ever! They burn clean and evenly. A great shop in downtown GVL. They have a great selection of scents for candles & body sprays as well. My personal favorite is Mermaid Isle. Had a great experience shopping here. The employees are super nice and helpful. Also purchased a Mint Chocolate Chip candle and it smells amazing.

Hunter is always a great and fun instructor. This was our second time making candles and we plan to again and again.

We discovered Greenville Soy Candle Company by word of mouth and are so glad we did! The store itself smells so pleasant and inviting. We went in to find a candle and came out with body spray, lotion, and a candle. Once home (in Florida), I went online to order more products. I can’t get enough and the scents are delightful. A friend smelled my body spray one day and said it smelled just like the perfume she used to buy in Dubai. If you’re ever in Greenville, this store is a must visit!

Thoroughly enjoyed the candle making class. This instructor was informative and ifunny. We were entertained from start to finish. Our candles turned out fabulous.

We stopped in while in Greenville on a whim and ended up going home with 4 of their candles. Not only are the smells amazing, but they burn forever! We’ve gotten candles from many different places but never had them last this long. Will no longer buy candles from anywhere else!

Even though we had to cancel, Tina and her staff were awesome with communicating and answering any questions I had. We will definitely be checking out this shop in the future

Amazing crafted candle company right off Main Street! They even offer classes a s custom scented candles! A little pricy, but it’s expected based on quality and the location. Def recommend stopping in to enjoy the smells!

Absolutely love this place! Their candles are such amazing quality, they spread so well and there are so many options to choose from. Their bath and body products are just as wonderful and last a good while after use, I use the Cleopatra scrub and lotion and the scent lingers long after use. The staff are always so kind and knowledgeable about the products too, could not recommend them enough!

Wonderful scents and great staff! You can always find a nice candle or body product to give as a gift or treat yourself. They also have candle making classes which are a lot of fun! Definitely check this store out if you are in Greenville.

I love this store. The products are some of the few scented products that don't give my husband headaches. The variety of scents available can please anyone. The quality of the lotion is top notch. My hands are silky smooth. The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable.

If I could give them 100 stars I could. I've been a long-time fan of what is now Greenville Soy Candle Company. My personal favorite candle is the blackberry and sage candle. It's so unique, delightful, and I think it's a great year-round scent. One of the main reasons I love GSCC is that they allow you to bring in your empty jars to fill - therefore allowing you to reduce the impact of the environmental impact of packaging (I think it's around $1/oz so super affordable). Depsite now living in Atlanta, visiting this lovely little candle shop is one of my favorite parts of returning to my hometown.

Cute store with a great selection of candles and several other kinds of products! They make the candles themselves and they’re also soy candles which is awesome, but they aren’t any pricier than something mass produced like Yankee Candle! And all the candles smell amazing! Can’t go wrong!

This is my favorite candle shop! I love coming here. The owners and employees are so nice and every candle smells amazing. Awesome spot to shop local and get great products. Everything is made in-house and I’ve never been disappointed with a single thing here. Plus, the candles have a great burn time (good for perpetual candle-burners like me)! Looking forward to my next visit.

Great soaps and candles that are made right in the store as a micro-factory. The staff was helpful and super friendly.

The smell of these candles were like nothing i've ever smelled! My house smells amazing with the vanilla extracts melts. When she told us to "follow your nose" it couldn't have been more true. We thought the talking in the back was just workers, but turns out they have their own candle making classes. The classes are only a few dollars more than the actual candle. Making an appointment next time we go.
