Dollar General

Updated: I know the company doesn't care, but I will never shop here again. Previous nice and caring managers are gone and were replaced with rude, mean and verbally abusive ones over the last 6 months - first Drew and now Lilly. I used to stop in several days a week, usually after work, to pick up a few items that we may be running low on at my house. The store WAS clean and well stocked with what I need. The staff WAS friendly and helpful. Now the shelves are not restocked timely and there are rolling racks blocking the aisles. I overheard a customer asking Lilly if tthey had an item she was looking for in the back and Lilly told her they probably did, but she had no idea where it was or when she would be able to get it out on the floor. Also, the last time I was there I stood at the register for over 5 minutes waiting for a cashier. Turns out he was outside and I had seen the manager previously walking around the aisles but couldn't find her when I was ready to go. If you have digital coupons, you can't use the self checkout (there's a sign at the register). It appears either corporate doesn't know what goes on in their stores or just doesn't care. Either way, I am done.

Stood at the counter for 10 minutes before a cashier even came up with zero employees working but 1 lady was beyond rude and not helpful. I downloaded the app and coupons right in front of her and she refused to use my coupons or tell me why the app wasn't matching my phone number. I'm sure it sucks to be the only worker on a Saturday but if you don't want to do your job maybe find a place you might like to work since it so clear you hate your job not customers fault

Don't bother ordering, pick app orders at this store because they will only cancel them.

Always understaffed. Never have change to give back. Workers are way overworked and not paid well. Line is always long due to staffing issues. I have nothing but bad to say. The management and ceos should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. Do better. It's not about the numbers at the end of the day if you can't keep employees.

Worst Dollar General on the planet! The line is back to the end of the store many times! Employees hate working there to the point their attitude are spilling onto the customers. One cashier refused to give a kid his change and has the audacity to get mad at others for calling her out!? 2 people behind the counter running one register!? Pathetic.

This store is right around the corner from my house and it's super convenient. Nice staff, clean store.

It's right down the street from my parents house. Not sure why my 3 year old loves to go here with me.back home we have to drive 30 min just to get to a dollar store!

We found everything we needed except Tiki torches. They were sold out of the big one but at least they had the small ones. The cashier was very nice and polite. The isles were clear and things were well organized.

Always clean and stocked. Can get busy and never enough cashier's during busy times. One cashier seems to enjoy conversing with customers too much causing unnecessary delays.

There is currently a monkey throwing milk everywhere as if they're football's and the workers aren't doing anything about it. But there could be light made in this situation since there is also a rhinoceros fighting back with the new major melon mountain dew flavor and I'm currently taking cover under a shelf of mayonaise and bread and holding a can of cashews I will rate this place a 3 out of 5 since this is just a minor inconvenience and just the usual and things usually run a bit smoother when I'm here.

Great prices for what you get and the service is great, will give a 5 but the check out is always a long line

Dollar General is already an awesome story this is one of the best ones I've been to it's clean they've got all kinds of things that you could use anything you can think of that you could need and the prices are great good employees Clean safe great place

It's always nice being able to just jump in and grab something without going super deep into a grocery store DG never ever disappoints. They always have great selection and everything is easily accessible, that's why it's always my spot for grabbing go items.

Decent selection and product options. Friendly staff. Only downside in my opinion is space. Can be a bit tight with many other shoppers.

The store here on forestbrook road should consider hiring more people. The waiting time to pay at the register is just an awful experience. Dollar general should also consider selling Hispanic products do to the change in Demographics in the area. The up grades that they've done to the store is nice. Other than that it's okay when you something quick.

I felt the cashier was not well acquainted with the her position and when she tried to call someone to help her she got no response at least 3 times. I was asking her how I put in my phone number to get my digital coupons, she didn't know, I asked if the baby toys were included in the toy sale, she didn't know, I asked the price of the teddy bears behind the counter and again she wasn't sure. She eventually left her position and went and found another employee to help her. I felt bad for her that she really didn't know, was left unattended and no one was answering when she called.she even stated that someone else was trying to imput their phone number for the digital coupons and they couldn't figure it out.

I love dollar general i always end up staying way longer than planned and always find great deals they've got a good selection of things from food items to personal things. Clothes. Household items.will continue to frequent this chain no matter where I find them and keep recommending to people who ask

Great store since they remolded. We find ourselves going here more often than the other local food stores.

It had everything that I needed, plus now they've started selling farm fresh produce. Go by and give them a try, you can't go wrong at Dollar General on Forestbrook Road in Socastee, SC

We've never had a bad experience at this location. The employees are excellent and it's conveniently located so I can pop in and grab things quickly. The layout of the store has changed, but aisles are labeled accordingly. The best part about the new layout is there's now a fresh section up front with fruit, vegetables, and salads

Not too accommodating to strangers as they gave me the stink eye for being black while shopping.

This is a good DG. I went for chips and Hamburger rolls and they were both easy to locate. The store was once disorganized but it's so much nicer now. The staff was kind and you could see that they genuinely got along there was no hostile atmosphere.the entrance was easy to see from 501 (the main road) and exiting the store was easy to do also.

Good price.have things I use on daily chores. Not sure as a retail store owner if mdse is displaced. Not in a good layout of the store for customers. 1 place is like a Maze!
