Right there facing the beach. Inside and outside seating was purched up high looking out at the ocean. Good wings mozzarella sticks potato wedges had a sample-platter was delicious. Would definitely visit again.
Potatoes in sample appetizer not cooked well - about half done and service very slow. Did not drop buy during meal to see if we needed refill on tea. Didn't seem like they had enough staff.
My husband and I went to dinner to celebrate my birthday tonight and had the best prime rib we have ever had! Outstanding meal and our waitress was awesome! The views of the ocean from the restaurant are beautiful! Highly recommend you try this restaurant!
My family flew in from Seattle and Portland and had an amazing dinner at Damon’s. The food was amazing, and so was autumn our server.she ensured are food was perfect and timely. I highly recommend with beautiful place.
Visited this restaurant while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. It was recommended by the locals, and they were 100% correct. The food was amazing! The view was spectacular, and the service was top notch. It's one of my favorite memories from the area, and I can't wait to go back!
Damon’s could use some upgrading. The dining furniture looks like it belongs in an old luncheonette and the flooring should be replaced. Lovely to look at ocean but on a cold rainy day the ambiance inside not the greatest. Do better. Build it and they will keep coming.
Well after waiting for an hour n a half to get seated. Other people got seated before we did when tables were available.then we wanted prime rib n told it was good there but by the time we were seated they told us they had ran out.
This was the best dinner out the whole trip. We sat outside, great atmosphere. We received 5 star service from Courtney, and he was amazing. Everyone loved their food, the wings were the best, and all the drinks were perfect. We all said we would be back.
3 nights and 4 days on a girls trip and Damon's kept us coming back for more.whether it was lunch on the patio, dinner inside or drinks and apps at the bar we were well feed and in great company with the staff. Thank you Kip for keeping our glasses full and spirits high!
Thus is a great place. We always do birthdays here! I have had most items on the menu over the years and have yet to be disappointed. Large portions. The only bad I can bring up is the service. Sometimes, you just get a bad server. Other times, there is a hold-up in the kitchen. Don't go if you are in a rush. This is a place to chill and watch the ocean.
This place smells awesome from the street but nothing to brag about. Waited 30 min for table for 2. Rolls were like lil bricks salad was very and watery like the lettuce was washed and not drained off, soup was ok but was cold. The onion loaf is not good the middle was raw batter.it took 1 hours and 35 minutes to get our food the steak was really tough and had no seasoning was very bland baked potato had been sitting in the serving window for a while the server Darlenis was nice tho she was the only good thing about the dinner that we spent $90 on this was a once and done wasted money and left hungry because the food was mostly inedible.
We first came here on Sunday and had a great meal at the bar. Today we decided to do an early dinner with table seating. The food, just like on Sunday, was spot on! Got buffalo shrimp for an appetizer and we both got the Chicken and Ribs combo. We also got the chicken and shrimp gumbo. Both of us found it to be truly awesome. So glad we came back. Great atmosphere and not overly crowded at this time of year but still busy nonetheless. We both highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
The atmosphere was nice. I drove up from GA to have a meal with my son on his birthday. He always chooses Damon's. But my first bite I was not able to eat. Had to spit it out. My niece had to have hers recorded. My sons was ok.
Food was good only bad part was baked potatoes were cold like they had been cooked a while. The other food was hot and good and plenty of it. Love the atmosphere and scenery. Waitress was very good and friendly
Great atmosphere with a view of the beach. Fresh seafood and options for non seafood eaters as well. Great drink selection. Fair prices for what you get. Remember to tip your wait staff.
Celebrating a birthday got us heading to one of the Strand’s few oceanfront restaurants. Located on the south end of Myrtle Beach along the picturesque Atlantic Ocean and mere steps to Springmaid Pier. Damon's Grill is known for its award winning BBQ Ribs and prime rib. Baby back ribs are slow cooked for supreme tenderness and basted with their own famous sauce. Certified black angus prime rib is aged for over 21 days and rubbed with own their secret blend of seasoning. Then seared to perfection over a wood burning grill and then roasted slowly in a special prime rib oven. Arriving on a Monday at 5pm we waited 40 minutes to be seated on their open, ocean side deck. Seating is available in the adjacent full service bar, spacious glass-enclosed dining room and/or deck. Kimberley was our server and being that we had plenty of time to peruse the menu we promptly ordered our drinks and meals. Drinks arrived along with warm dinner rolls. Some time later our meals arrived with more dinner rolls. I ordered the 9 ounce sirloin and ribs combo with a side salad and a baked potato with cheese and bacon. Salad came with fresh greens and plenty of toppings of chopped eggs and tomatoes, bacon crumbles and diced ham, shredded cheese and carrots. Ribs were indeed tasty and meaty with a side of their of sauce. Tangy, smoky flavor in every enjoyable bite. Good size steak that was nicely seasoned, tenderized and cooked to my liking. Baked potato was a bit undercooked but with plenty of butter and sour cream doable. Good presentation and flavor of food. And being that Damon’s offers a free meal and a mini cake on one’s birthday a plus. Kimberley was personable and being that it was busy we gave her the benefit of the doubt. As promised refill of drinks went unmet and repeated prompting got us lids for our sauces.
Went here for my father's birthday. They at 1st told us it would be a half hour wait but they got us in in ten minutes. Had a table on the outside deck with a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection. Little tip if it's your birthday show them your ID and your meal is free with the exception of 3 larger items.
I'm from the Ohio Valley and the Damon's in Weirton never disappoints. However, this one in Surfside certainly was a disappointment.service was lacking, everyone who got ribs, had them overcooked to the point of burnt. We were celebrating a birthday (6 of us) The birthday boy ordered steak (prime rib) which came cold. We had to ask our server for drinks, she never checked back with us after she took our order (we waited 10 mi uses after being seated). Won't be going back
