Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Sharing Christmas lunch with friends (a few days early). Server was very busy - but took good care of her customers. Great meal, and we'll keep it on our monthly calendars!

The honey glazed carrots were awful. We got a cater size and don’t want to eat them. They were undercooked.

Great food, friendly service, at a great price! I also LOVE the store! Beautiful items at an affordable price!

Great experience.great food. Leeann was our server and did an awesome job. We took our family here on a very busy holiday week. Leeann was great, she anticipated our every need and treated us like we were her only table even though they were packed and we could see she was very busy. Can’t wait to go back.

This is Cracker Barrel. Get what you deserve from any Cracker Barrel, great service and food.

I have to be honest that the 5 stars are given mainly because of our server. I believe her name was Haley C. (that's what is on the receipt). Although the food and atmosphere were really good.the food can use some approvement. We were the there last night with a party of 7 and she really made for a fun and pleasant atmosphere. She went above and beyond even laughing at all our jokes lol. Her shift was finally ending after a double but she continued with the same smile and sweet attitude she probably started her day with. You got a great server there Crackle Barrel!

My wife and I are a Senior couple. We are easy going and don't complain much. My wife is disabled and gets embarrassed if I complain about a stores service. Yesterday I could not help but to complain. I used Cracker Barrel's App to be put on their waiting list prior to our arrival. The store texted me that there was a 30 minute wait to please check in when I arrived. I did let them know I arrived by texting them back and also calling them on my phone. We carry my wife's wheel chair in the trunk of my car and is no easy task of taking it out and putting back in the trunk. We sat and waited for a table for over an hour before we were seated. I complained to the store manager that if they were going to advertise a 30 minute wait than they should adhere to that time frame. He acted as if he didn't care what I said. Only that my wife and I would be seated next. I also asked him why large parties of 5 or more people were being put ahead of only 2 people waiting. His excuse was they were lager and harder for them to accommodate so therefore they were first priority. It is my opinion that this is discrimination against Senior couples of 2 or less. Cracker Barrel could care less about the Senior Community. They have only 4 Disabled Parking spots at this store. I will never use their app again and it will be a cold day in HELL before I ever go back. Our server Amber wasn't much better on customer service. I observed her serving larger parties more than she served 2 people. She only came to our table to take our orders, serve our coffee and water and to bring the final bill. Some other server delivered our food of which was Luke warm not hot. I started to send it back but my wife said no. She wanted to go home and not eat of which is dangerous for her condition. This was in my opinion the worst customer service I have ever had with any restaurant. They have servers standing around chatting with each other for minutes at a time when they should be serving customers and not socializing. Bad management is the cause. The manager appears to care less about customers. I will never go back again.

Had a nice dinner with a friend! Awesome server who actually had a personality, and a great smile to match! Will definitely go back when I go back through!

Almost an hour wait to eat. So just shopped. Very crowded in shopping area. So if you are worried about closeness to people.stay away. If not then it just feels like holiday shopping all year round. Lol.

Had too bring some home. 3 huge pancakes, could have had a little more syrup. Eggs and sausage right size.

It was horrible. I have been going to this particular one since it opened. I will never go back. The music was so loud it made my friend sick we left. I ask if they could turn down It did not happen.

I'm not sure if we came on a bad day but the pancakes we ordered were not what I wished they were. The pancakes were not brown and they barely had any crunch on the edges, I can make better pancakes from boxed batter. The waitress was really nice but the food wasn't good.

Mashed potatoes were so bland and tasteless, no butter or milk used.
Blueberry pancakes were rubbery.

Had a father-daughter dinner there to have some one-on-one time with my little angel. The food and service were great, and we had a great time together

We order 2 orders of the cheddar chicken broccoli to take home. Very dry & the broccoli was burnt. Also the carrots tasted old not there regular ones. I told my husband the last 3 x’s we had there food it does impress me to go back. The cheddar chicken broccoli is one of our favorites. I took a picture of it but unfortunately I don’t see where I attach it.

Sit there for 1 hour waited for food they did not and even acknowledge that we were there. I ordered their country breakfast my husband ordered two sausage biscuits. You would think that that would be very easy to make. Since they only made needed to make two fried eggs. They finally came over to the table and I asked them to see a manager. Manager came over told him what had happened and we just needed the ticket for the 2T so we can pay and leave. When I asked them for a ticket for our two t's they gave it to me and I paid almost $7 for two teas. Did not even offer to compass that we had sent there for 1 hour.

I ordered after much internal debate because I kinda wanted breakfast but it was 2PM. Instead I just ordered my go to, roast beef dinner w mashed potatoes, green beans & fried apples with extra gravy. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. No biggie, we were all screwing up the peg game while we caught up. But when food finally arrived, everyone's order was mixed up. We could deal with that ok, but.this is a big but, I asked "is this the child's plate? " Really it was not a memorable CB experience, sigh, I ate it anyway. Fried apples were good lol

Usually love coming here, partners ham wasn't cooked, manager wasn't very pleasant when I asked for the biscuits that are usually handed out when seated before the meal, never got any refills and had to ask other people to get me a drink, what a mess, smh we are regulars and always patient and understanding, but today really upset us.

Food was delicious! On vacation from up north and our waitress had recently moved from up north. She was kinder than kind! Thank you for such a pleasant chat and breakfast Linda!

Home cooked foods I love, Since I have no car I rarely am able to go and get excited when I do. The staff here is personal and friendly

Hostess was pleasant and when I addressed my concern of an overcooked steak the manger took it off the bill, which I did not request but I am glad that he was concerned enough to do so. Great Atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Everyone was so nice and the food was great. Egg in the Nest in the sourdough bread was so good. The hash brown casserole were worth the trip. Bacon was very good as well done just right not to crisp and not to fatty. Great taste and not salty which was a plus for sure. Also loved that I found unexpectedly clove gum in the general store that I used to love when I was a kid. Would def go back.

Expierence is always a good one. However the is a waitress there that really goes above and beyond. Her name is Samantha and she really took care of us drinks never empty and she kept the bread coming. Our 2 year old made a mess though by spilling our drink knocking it over even got my wife's pancakes soaked. Mrs Samantha immidiatly grabbed towels clean up our table gave my wife some dry towels to clean herself. And on top of that she put in a new oder for my wife since her breakfast got soggy. Great expirence.

If I could give it zero stars I would. The Summerville, SC Cracker Barrel has the distinction of being the only Cracker Barrel I will NEVER return to.
Tomorrow is my grandson's Birthday. I drove from Nashville, TN to see him and though it would be nice to go to go out to eat. I took the family (6 people) to Cracker Barrel. The hostess was rude to to my daughter-in-law when she asked to be put on the wait list. The wait wasn't very long. But, the cornbread and biscuits were cold. The waiter had the audacity to tell me they had just come out of the oven. It was over an hour before our main entree was brought out to us. It was barely warm. My elderly aunt's chicken and dumplings were cold and looked dried out. She returned them, having lost her appetite. In the many years and many states in which I have eaten at Cracker Barrel I have never had such an experience. Not to mention the meal was over $75.00

I was very disappointed in the way I had to order my food I wanted it to go and I had to sit at a table to get it to go because I wanted to pay cash. The service was good. You need to change that policy of not doing walk up to go orders.

It didn't cook the hamburger steak correctly so I had to wait for them to cook that again meanwhile service was really sad

My to-go order took almost an hour to prepare & was already cold & gross. Crowd too overwhelming for the staff to handle

Have tried to order a to go order 2 times now and have been told that there aren’t any being taken at this time. They need to anticipate increased orders and plan accordingly! Lost customers and revenue!

Extremely noisy inside, could not carry on a conversation across the table. There were quite a few customers dining, but the background music was way too loud. Server had to bend down and get close to hear our order. Could not even talk to another customer in the restroom!
Our server was in training but was quite pleasant. Her trainer accompanied her to get our order, but at end of meal we had to wait quite a while to get a takeout box, tea to go and our check. Trainer forgot the box, not our server. It was a long wait. But the meal was good nonetheless.

Got there pretty late but got good food promptly and at a good price. Wifey and I don't eat the same things all the time so cracker barrel is a great idea.

This location is great. It wasn't busy and noisy and the food was terrific. I got the fried catfish and my husband had the meatloaf. Great food.

It took over an hour to receive our food while 3 other tables, seated after us, were all served before us. The other tables were almost done before we received our cold food. I spoke to a manager before we received our food and magically it appeared 2 minutes later. It was served cold with no apology or discount was offered. To offer context, this was midweek, we were sitting in a section that only had 6 tables seated, and there were 3 waitresses working the section.

People this is real nice friendly awesome food and real nice waitresses and servers and Cooks and you can buy shirt's of your favorite country singer and souvenirs

I thought the food was disgusting. The table we were placed at had crumbs all over the floor and seats. Ordered breakfast. Pancakes were burnt on the bottom. Ham, bacon and sausage had been reheated so many times they were like hockey pucks. Food was actually cold. So gross. I will never eat at another cracker barrel again.

It's Cracker Barrel, if you haven't been to one definitely go try it out. This location is very clean and the service is excellent. Love the old country store in the front always something neat to find inside. Food is usually very good and comes out in a timely manner.

Good quality food, with good flavor and was definitely fresh from the kitchen. Only downside is we ordered during dinner rush, so our carry out took a bit longer.

Manager is inexperienced and needs training on how to best utilize available resources during this time of available staffing issues. My service at the table, by our waitress, was excellent: thoughtful, timely, and she communicated well. The manager, however, needs to be retrained on Cracker Barrel best practices for quality customer service.

When I tried to communicate to her that her wait for seating was back up thoughout the store and that potential customers were not receiving any customer/hostess interaction regarding a possible list nor did anyone know to whom they needed to speak to regarding being seated.she was quick to respond with hostility. She was not approached with hostility therefore her response was not logical or appropriate. She immediately snapped that the kitchen was backed up and she didn't have anyone to hostess. I overlooked it, I could tell she was not a skilled manager, and continued to wait without clarification on how she was determining what order to seat the waiting parties. I watched two families ahead of me be summons to a table by being flagged down.without ever giving clarity on how many where in there party or clarification of who came in first. When she had a table available for us, I was issued a huge wave from across the dining room, without being informed I had been acknowledged, and wasn't provided a greeting, a menu nor was a drink order taken as we were seated. She did get a highchair for one of my granddaughters and a baby carrier sear for my other. But, when I requested assistance locating it on an interior wall, rather than in the walkway, this seemed to agitated her and she did not approach us again.
She floated around counting free tables, only ever engaging with two waitstaff members. She did not engage customers with any amount of hospitality. She did not help in expediting turnover by taking drink orders, busing, addressing the hostess stand to greet customers, but instead hovered by the kitchen opening, clipboard in hand. There were so many things she could have done to counter act slow turnover from the kitchen and positively impact the customer experience. Hope someone from corporate comes in and helps develop her managerial skills soon.

On the flipside our food, waitress and checkout staff were good. It is a salvageable situation. She was clearly overwhelmed without the knowledge on how to best address her circumstances.

An hour long way is to be expected on Sundays. What I don’t expect us to wait forever to finally see my server. To not get my drinks refilled and wait another 40 minutes to eat. Or it might’ve been 40 minutes not sure we finally left after 30 and sitting there with my empty coffee. I was not impressed nearly two hours to eat is a bit much one hour long wait for a table.

Enjoyed walking through the gift shop while we waited to be seated. The shop staff were very kind to my mother while helping her with her purchases. When we got to our table, our server was very prompt and sweet. We will definitely be back.

This store, at 1370 N Main St, Summerville, SC is much better than the store at 7351 Mazyck Rd, North Charleston, SC. But that's kind of like saying, "Would you prefer to get hit on the left arm or the right? " The food continues to go downhill and the service is adequate at best. My favorite part was the young lady who came in to apply for a job wearing the uniform of a nearby competitor. After being promised the manager would be right out the young lady left. After about 20 minutes I guess she got tired of waiting.

Terrible customer service didn't even get to try the food.the waitress was ignoring us people sat down after us received there food before us.long wait never will be back waste of 2hrs really wanted to try the food so we left and I called the manager she said she was on the line cooking and didn't even do anything to help us

We sat in the restaurant for almost 2 hours and all we got is drinks biscuits and cornbread but no meal. It was so absurd and they will never get our service again

Service is usually good, but there are a couple servers that when we get them there is always something wrong with the order, one of them it seems like she doesn't ask questions if she is unsure of what you're ordering ac just makes something up that is close.

The turkey was DRY and had no flavor. The gravy had a "skim" on it from sitting under a heat lamp too long. We didn't get our biscuits until our food was brought out after 25 minutes. Our waitress only came back to fill up our glasses one time. I will not be going back to this CB again in Summerville SC.

Manager was useless. Long waiting times during busy hours, very understaffed. Wait time was 1+ hours. Only seating certain amount of people at a time.

Got the Friday fish fry with okra and French fries. Service was excellent and food delicious. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I pointed out that something was spilled on the floor in the shop. I was there for an additional 10 minutes and no effort was made to clean the floor. The young lady that I told was folding shirts when I left.

Food is usually really good. Feels like really good home cooking. LOVE the biscuits and corn bread. Biscuits are buttery and have a great crisp outside. French toast is my favorite. The one complaint I would have is that their cooks are hit and miss when it comes to egg doneness. I like my scrambled eggs soft, and they usually cook them too far. Turnip greens are good. Mac n cheese is yummy. Country fried steak is usually great! Pancakes are super! Sandwiches/ burgers are all good.
Service has always been charming, even when there's a wait due to low staffing.

Awful. Cold food. Long wait for soup and the daily special. No crackers for soup. Worst dining experience ever. Many items removed from menu.

Slow service from the kitchen. Then they forgot my corn.
Waited inside store for 30 minutes for a call in order they said would be ready in 15 minutes.

As we sit here after an hour and a half with no food stilllll, I'm disgusted with the lack of service here. We've already had 3 drinks each and waiting with nothing in sight. Get with the program Cracker Barrel. This is unacceptable

My reason for 2 review, is the drinking glasses smelled like a fish pond. However, our waitress was very kind and brought out to-go cups for us. The food was delivered hot and very tasty.

My server, Tayah was AMAZING. Her smile lights up the whole room, her personality made everything so much enjoyable. She never let my drink go below half full. My mother in law is very picky and she took it like a champ with all of the modifications. The ham will forever be my favorite, as well as the hash brown casserole! Nothing beats a good meal with even better service, Keep up the good work Tayah, there need to be more people like you in this world.

After an hour wait. My food was horrible. Absolutely nothing was right. The waiter did his part by taking down the correct order The cook did a lousy job following my order.

This place has no management, me and my 8,5 months pregnant wife made reservation online and it said 30 mins, when we got there 30 minutes later they said we should wait more 45 minutes, I asked why and they said because the online appointment doesn't work, and the supposed manager said" there is not she could do about it, and the system is never right", I asked why they keep the online system working and she said because we can't do anything about it. So they think is very simple make people feel stupid and not offer any solution

The fried chicken was golden brown and delicious. My whole meal was very tasty, service was quick, and the staff was super friendly. I Highly recommend Cracker Barrel for a meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, I've never had a bad meal or service.
