Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

First of all the store manager's name was Jason. I had a party of 8 and we ordered at 5: 22pm. It took until 6: 20 to get our meal. We were told when we ordered that they were out our Mac and cheese, hash brown casserole, broccoli and broccoli casserole. When the food finally came out the green beans were so cold the oil in them was thinking up. The pinto beans was so dehydrated that they would not even pour out of the bowl. My wife ordered mashed potatoes. Several tables that ordered well after we did got mashed potatoes but when delivering our food told my wife they ran out and what else did she want but sat burnt pintos in front of her. She told them she didn't want any of it and to ask the manage to come. He showed up (Jason) and best he could do was to take my wife's order off the ticket which she told them she didn't want it anyway.
I love Cracker Barrel but this is the 3rd bad experience with this one location this year. I will never come back to this one. Oh yeah I was 3 in line to check out and it took me 18 minutes to get to the register due to personal problems.

We had an absolutely awful experience coming here. We waited an hour to be served and the restaurant wasn’t busy. We didn’t get a spoon, bread etc. When we ordered they got our order wrong and took a long time to bring it at least 45 minutes. We had to go find the waitress to bring us food drinks etc. They were out of at least ten items. Other tables were getting upset and complaining as well. At least four tables. They would not refill our drinks or bring me my to go box. The person I was with talked to all three managers. They still made us pay for our food yet the other person who had the same problem didn’t have to pay! We almost left but by the time I got back from the bathroom the food had arrived. They forgot my pancakes. I had to go find someone to bring me the pancakes. We waited at least 20 minutes to be seated. The person I was with did not tip and has never not tipped the waiter before in his life and he’s about 50 years old but this is the first time that’s happened because the experience was so bad. We couldn’t eat by the time we got our food because we were upset and lost our appetite. The managers acted like they didn’t care and didn’t really do anything to fix the situation just needlessly apologize and make everyone pay. They also ran out of bags for the to go box I had to go and find someone to give it to me. I didn’t want to eat after all that so I took it to go. It’s like we were completely ignored. Other tables were openly talking to the managers. There were about 3-5 of them in there. They were out of literally every item you could imagine. People were walking out. People were frustrated. We didn’t leave until 2 hours later. It’s horrible we still had to pay and couldn’t get a discount yet the other person got their meal free. This is the worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to. There was no sense of urgency or care at all.

I want to CB to buy a Lodge 6" skillet, but the smallest was 8"; I bought it for my friend.
Zack is the greeter and is wonderful at the way he warmly greets people, knows the products well enough to help customers make decisions, and keeps lines going.
What I do dislike is the price of products. As busy as people were to buy products (ex. Lodge skillet) the price could come down to encourage people to buy more at better buys.

It's pretty standard for a Cracker Barrel, nothing to get overly excited about food-wise. Service was good though

Ordered take out was told they where out of salad. Ordered several more items. I was told 25 to 30 mins. Got there of course food wasn't ready. And then learned they where out of chicken pot pie which I confirmed twice with the to go lady on the phone that I did order it. Nothing was said about being out till I came to pick up food. They do not check your orders before giving them to you either. We where missing several items. I called to speak with a manager to let them know but after 10 mins I was done with waiting on hold, watching my food get cold and hung up. This is not my first bad experience here. But it will be my last no longer interested in doing buisness here.

Cracker Barrel in general has dropped in quality last few years. I have been getting the Country Boy breakfast for 12 years. They removed the steak and pork chop meat options a little while back and added steak tips. The tips are always hard and chewy. Also removed some of the sides that used to be included. I would have happily paid a few extra bucks to keep the meal the same. The changes are too much.
The biscuits were small and hard so requested replacements, and they were the exact same.
Even the orange juice was different and seemed watered down.
Only saw our server to take order, drop off drinks, and drop off check (food dropped off by someone else) had to get the attention of another server to get a coffee refill.

Have to say the carry-out was very poor service the food was fine but I would recommend dining elsewhere if you care about service with a smile the employees are not very friendly. Have a nice day and happy eating

They were doing OK. Normally 5 stars but they were out of lots of things. Service was normal. Getting food was slow.

Food and service was ok. Not as good as when we were there in September. Food looked and tasted like it was reheated. Server must have been new but did her best I guess. Hopefully better next time.

I was very disappointed with everything about this place, we got seated as soon as we came in but it took one hour and thirty minutes to even get our food.
The hashbrown casserole was not cooked all the way the potatoes was still raw, it was just nasty.
The roast beef was all fat with no meat, the gravy was the only good thing I got beside my drink. I Will be finding another Cracker Barrel because this one was just sad.

So busy but yet friendly. And got food out fairly quickly

There was a very long wait time for a table even though there were a number of empty tables. The waitress was hospitable and seemed very tired. The food was subpar to cool and biscuits and cornbread were promised but excuses of not being done cooking was all we received till we left hungry. Very disappointed with whole experience.

Average service. Meal was.served cold and sent back and came back with over cooked steak. Well done and wanted it medium. Also the person I was eating with their food came out I'm segments. Highly disappointed!

Food was cold and watery. This is the second time our orders were messed up. I don't think we will be giving this location a 3rd try.

We ordered take out. When we picked up the food, they were out of items we ordered. Honestly the food was the worst we ever had. Our last time eating at Cracker Barrel.

Worst service I've ever had at Cracker Barrel. We were seared immediately but still spent an hour and 15 mins in the place. 4 tables of people that came in after us ate and left before we did. The waitress excuse was she had only been there 1 day. I'm trying to be patient nowadays because of the staff situation but it's getting ridiculous. I asked for the manager before I left but I had waited long enough and he didn't seem to be in much of a hurry either.

We arrived for an early lunch about 11: 10 am. There were 4 of us. It was only moderately busy. We didn't even have to wait to be seated. The food we ordered was tasty but we waited just over an hour for it to arrive, which we felt was too long given the number of people there.

My steak was ordered medium rare. Served to me raw. They replaced but my party was done eating by the time I got my food. Had to get it to go. Not so good later as if freshly cooked. Won't be going back.

There may have been staffing issues that night, not sure, but getting a table took a very long time even though the restaurant wasn't full and the food also took a very long time to come out after we ordered.

Waitress did not get order right, acted like it was our fault. Lady at cash register was rude to my husband. Some of employees need better attitude when dealing with public! Won't be back!

The restaurant was empty and we got seated as soon as we walked in. They had 3 workers standing at the hostess stand on their phones and dancing around. We waited at our table for over 15 minutes and nobody ever came to us to take our drink order. We asked a worker that walked by if there’s a server for our table and she said she would tell somebody. We continued to wait for another 10 minutes and nobody ever came. Very frustrated when everybody was laughing and dancing and on their phones but couldn’t take our order. We got up and left. No apologies, no regrets. Highly do not recommend this particular location.

Service was very lacking and food was only lukewarm after waiting 40 minutes for the meal. Ridiculous you have to wait 15 minutes for a refill and get ignored when you have a question. Would not recommend stopping if there is anything down the road

True Southern hospitality.they get you at the gift store please believe. But the food was great. The biscuit beignets were dry but the eggs were scrambled just right. They forgot my loaded sweet potato, which I paid for.but nothing can truly be perfect (sigh). The female server did write it down, but she's was very attentive so I still give 5 stars despite the situación. Hugs

Great food, friendly service, and nostalgic atmosphere. The store is great for finding those unique things that make great gifts.

Food was good and the prices were actually decent for what we got! I had "Mommas French Toast" and it was quite delicious. It was severely lacking cinnamon, however. I also wouldn't recommend the chicken-fried-chicken. It tasted a bit odd itself, but the homestyle gravy was its only redeeming quality that made it bearable. The waitresses were polite and we never had an empty glass at the table! We'll be back again, for sure!

The staff and servers were very nice and helpful. I had to leave just as the waitress was bringing our food out, I intercepted her as she was coming from the kitchen and I had to ask her to put it in to go containers because of a medical appointment my Mom (75yrs) had in 30 minutes. They were glad to help me. Zach was one of the Managers that was very nice and helpful with checking us out quickly, and afterwards he was very nice when I realized I had left my phone at the checkout counter.

Good as always. When they are able to hire enough help it will be even better. They were a little short handed which sadly, seems to be normal nowadays.

Usually my favorite spot but runny eggs and much smaller pancakes. Granted the manager had to cook.guess he lost his skill

We had the worst time ever at a Cracker Barrel! 8/14/21. We arrived at 5: 50 P. M.waited approximately thirty minutes to be seated, and our order was taken soon. We waited thirty minutes for our food, but when it was delivered the bread and syrup was not delivered. We finally after about five minutes received syrup, but the bread was delivered as we were finishing the meal. By the way we were charged 2.79 for a child's tea. We finished at 7: 50 exhausted and not happy!

I placed an online order to picked up at 7: 11pm. After waiting 30 minutes, I was told my order had been canceled because they didn't have any roast beef. It would have been nice to notify me of this or at let the cashier know. Poor customer service!

Ordered online catered to go at 10: 50 pm to pick up at 11: 30 am the next morning. Got there to pick up, they don’t have my name on the list of pick up orders. After a 45 minute wait, my food was ready at 12: 15. What’s the point of ordering ahead if it’s going to be cooked once I get there? No refund offer or discount offer, just a “We’re sorry. ” That’s twice it’s happened to me for this particular Cracker Barrel. Lesson learned.

Food and bread was cold chicken pot pie needs a new recipe. I didn't even finish mine. Does no good to complain. I didn't want to wait on more food. The wait staff was the only good part

Wait time was twice as long as they originally told us. When we were finally seated, 3 tables who were seated after us, were taken care of before us. Two of the tables received their food before us and left before we even got our food. Unfortunately, our waitress had a table of eight and could not keep up. There's plenty of other places to eat in Spartanburg!

Ordered food to-go. Fried Chicken plate, sides and salad. Chicken was crunchy yet juicy. Salad cold and fresh. Spot on service too. Good job guys.

I am a fan of Cracker Barrel, but as Cracker Barrel restaurants go, this one is below average. I have eaten here a few times and the food is usually the quality expected at CB stores.however, this quality is not always consistent. The last meal I ordered here was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and fruit. My fruit never arrived. The bacon was brittle and barely warm. The eggs were flat and barely warm. It was probably the worst experience I have had at a CB. Having said that, I have eaten here at other times when the food was good. This indicates a lack of quality control and training, which is usually not the case for Cracker Barrel stores.

The food was immaculate, very well prepared. I had the pot roast, and my husband and my in-laws really enjoyed outlet food. The waitress forgot about us several times. My in-laws had to ask her multiple times for different things, that I ended up having to go request from a different waitress. I'm giving it a 5 star, because everyone was happy with there meal at the end.

Enjoyed a get together with kids. The server must have been new, as she was not very attentive. We had to keep asking other servers where she was. She would disappear until summoned be another waitress. Took forever to get order. And mine was cold. Hubby’s chicken dinner was over fried. This is the first time I had a bad experience here. Normally it is awesome.

Love the atmosphere here. We asked to sit by the fireplace while we ate our dinner. Food was good, except, my fried turkey was a little tough, and it really bothers my family when the butter they bring out, is too hard to spread on our biscuits, etc. Overall a good experience
