Ben here before wasnt happy then a year ago, but not alot of options so i Went back again today, horrible. Also got to go before I ordered mine for family at house, should have checked the full chicken breast was size of McDonald's hamburger patty.
I'd like to add pictures. I'm very disappointed horrible food for an $80 bill
My meatloaf was so thin I could barely find it. We are at a. Racker barrel on way to Fort Lee and had a nice serving. Really thin in Santee Crackle Barrel
Worst Cracker Barrel we've visited. Service was very disappointing and food was below average.
Our waitress was not attentive and made the average meals worse. Issues we encountered- Cutlery and plates were not brought out for starters, we were sat waiting 10 minutes before they were brought to us (another waitress went and told ours), our mains came when the cutlery did. Our order was wrong, one of the sides didn't appear, the cutlery that did get brought to our table after asking had too many knifes and not enough forks. We had to ask for refills. The above I would say should be done to the waitress.
In terms of the meal- like I said above one of the meals didn't come with the side- the waitress should be aware of this but still an error in the kitchen. The haddock was really dry and was a little cold- probably been sat on a hot plate for too long, had about 5 steak fries for my side, kids portion was bigger.
We were travelling back from Florida where we had really good experiences of this chain but after being to this location we won't bother going back anywhere.
Great comfort food, but don't go if you're in a hurry. They cook everything to order and they tend to be busy since it's right off I-95. It's a much better alternative to fast food!
A little off on the food this time.the hashbrown casserole was hard instead of its normal cheesey texture and flavor.and I got a sampler with 3 different small pieces of over cooked meat.
I was very disappointed I have been going there for years. I haven't been there in the past couple of years. The food was cold the waitress was rude and the candy that I bought the dark chocolate was all broken up and all of the all of those bars were broken up in pieces the only plus I can tell you is I got a nice sweatshirt. I really don't think I'm going back.
Food was luke warm. Broccoli ice cold, hashbrown casserole was ice cold. Butter pats were hot and.it wasn't a good experience, but I maintained a cheerful mood. I never did mention it to my waitress
We stopped at Cracker Barrel in Santee SC. It was excellent! Our waitress, Rebecca was fantastic! Food was great, service was great! Under great management!
Cracker barrel for the most part is OK But like most restaurants! They serve hot food on cold plates, an egg is not going to stay hot much less warm and at that time they go back to get warmed up then they come back wrong I say just take it off the bill.
First let me say I am a cracker barrel fan, I have eaten at this resturant all over the country, so to say this was the worst, for service, and then when we talked to a mgr. Worst, mgr. Reply, so here we go, got to the resturant and was seated at 7.30am, order was taken and we waited, watched while the table that came in after us got their food, then the waitress came to us and said our ticket got lost. And that our food would be out shortly, when the food came out, the sausage was cold,? Why would it be cold, so we told the waitress, her answer was (I'll get the mgr.) then when the mgr. Came over, said it was made fresh, we didn't ask if it was made fresh, but why was it cold, then you know when they say all the fixings, you usually get gravy with your biscuits, we did not, so I let the mgr. Know, (oh I'll get you some) way after, oh well, just my experience
Unprofessional establishment that cant manage it trimming right. My father and I walked in at 7: 00 they told us their would be a wait time of 35 minutes. We just left at 8: 02 hungry and tired. I don't know who that old white lady is I assume she manager. But she needs to retainerd or fired. She kept giving away spots that were free on there online reservation while ignoring the walk in customers. Cooperate should be ashamed of this location.
Service was excellent. Food was great. My favorite healthy option is the lemon pepper trout, you won’t regret it. Has brown casserole and some broc for the sides.
It was a few minutes before lunchtime and my daughter couldn’t order off the lunch menu. We like the predictability with certain chains while traveling with the kids, especially with the food costs. Our food was good, as it typically is at CB. Our server was kind and friendly. The fireplace was huge and beautiful, but definitely kept too hot to eat near comfortably.
I had the shrimp platter. Boy was I so happily surprised that when with two sides I still got steak fries which were super yummy. Huge plate of food. Staff was super nice and helpful.
Our waitress was fun. She was so awesome and even laughed at my husband's jokes. I tried the new Potato casserole bites and they are fabulous. Everyone should try them. We did not have a long wait for a table. I had blueberry pancakes and my husband ate eggs and bacon and such. Great meal.good value.
Average “ American “ fare. We had the fried chicken and the sides were Mac and Cheese, fried okra, chicken and dumplings, and biscuit. The biscuits are wonderful, just FYI. The food was relatively good and the best thing about chain restaurants is that you know what you’re getting. For me when I’m traveling, that’s a great thing and that’s comforting. The cleanliness of the restaurant was very good and our server was very friendly and professional. Of course there is also all the fun merchandise throughout the front of the restaurant.
We have decided not to bother stopping anymore because they either have parties waiting outside or tonight, they were very slow in seating. I understand that most restaurants are short staffed but the hostess was having a problem with assigning a party with a table after she called them that their table was ready. We walked out again.
Excellent service by the servers. Food was tasty. A bit slower but still all done in a sufficient amount of time, especially for a random weekday stop. Wish they had better deals in the store. Overhead that there's no military discount, which is surprising since them seem to do a lot of support for them? Odd.
Good was good, but not great. Service was very slow and they didn't bring our biscuits until after our food came. If your food service is gonna be really slow, bring the bread so we at least have something to eat while we are waiting 40-45 mins for our food!
The soda was flat and the french toast and pancakes were crispier than they should have been. The hash brown casserole was a very small portion for the price paid.
Went to this location for breakfast. It was great the best part, it wasn't to crowded. I even had time to spend money in the store. I usually don't walk around the gift shops because it's usually crowed.
Service was slow maybe understaffed food was hot. There was no price listed for the fish and chips we ordered. We were surprised by the amount. To high! Coleslaw not so good. We were hungry what can I say.
2 in our party of 6 had French Toast which was made with sour dough and not the best taste. Other 4 meals were good, but service was considered slow. Need to give rolls first or starters before main meal comes out. Great waitress though!
When u eat n this tourist town, you will find most of the restaurants are taking advantage taste price quality. Cracker barrel and Mexican in town of Santee your best choices. Deli and Clark's restaurants to little on quality and quality for high price they charge. Rip off, beware!
Jevette was so welcoming and knowledgeable! She made sure we got the best order combination and that we received exactly what we ordered. There was a long wait for our food but it helped that we had joined the online wait-list beforehand.
Two hours from the time we arrived to the time we received our food. The order was incomplete and the rest did not arrive until we were finished. Extremely slow service.
I love coming here but last night was the WORST experience ever, the waitress had the worse attitude ever from the beginning. I NEVER seen a waitress with that kind of attitude. We will come back because the food is great and it’s only like 35 minutes from where we live but we will make sure we don’t get her ever again. We did have her last time and it was the same experience… I feel like if you don’t like your job then you need to leave but the manager was nice about everything! The manager did keep apologizing for her actions but I feel like the waitress should of been the one apologizing.
Everything tastes hot. I ordered a cheeseburger one time and biscuits and sausage gravy the next. Tasted the same "hot". The only way they were different was consistency. My wife loves this place for the Country Store although now she is not so fond of the food. FINALLY!
The food was not up to par. The Mac and cheese seemed like soup with runny, water cheese, the seasoning on the batter for the chicken nuggets was salty and overly seasoned. The steak was just not a great cut or grade, but for $13 i imagine you're getting what you paid for. This place, which i get it it's a chain but i thought i would get at least a step up or two from the fast food chains etc but this restaurant was just the same. I must mention that the service was top rated though.
I Stopped here Wednesday 7-14-21 at 4: 05 PM. The Parking lot didn't have many cars and not any people milling about inside. I went to where the seater stands and the manager came by and said someone will be with you in a few minutes. When the girl finally came I told her just 1 person. She wanted my name and phone number and said it would be a 15 minute wait. The dining area was less than half full so I told her to forget it. I had to be back at my home terminal by 9: 00 PM and didn't have time to wait. It is very poor service when you have to wait 15 minutes or more to get a seat when there were plenty tables empty. I am a frequent Guest at Cracker Barrels all around and this was the poorest service ever.
Worse experiwnce ever at a Cracker Barrell. Very short staffed. Waited an hour and a half to be seated. Was told a 45 minute wait when we checked in. Had we known it would have been twice as long we woukd have went somewhere else. No management was around to help them cope with the all the people coming in. Very poorly run. Food came out undercooked because they were rushing to get caught up. Definitely not stopping at this location again after seeing this is an ongoing issue at this location.
Terrible experience. My family and I traveled 11 hours to Santee. When we saw a Cracker Barrel within walking distance of our hotel, we were very pleased. However, it was anything but pleasing. If it wasn't enough that we waited 40 minutes to be seated, it took over one hour for our food. When we thought our food was arriving, it was only our biscuits. We asked to speak to the manager who by the way was on the grill, opposed to leading the staff. As someone else said, staff seemed off. Our waitress however was very apologetic. When our food finally arrived, we were already ready to leave, as our 3 year old, as well as ourselves were tired of waiting. When our check arrived, our to go meal was neither on the tab nor on the table either! The manager cut out one of our meals from the check, but didn't seem very apologetic. Worst experience at a Cracker Barrel. I do not recommend at this location. Even my kid said the food "was taking ages".
We love this Cracker Barrel. The service was excellent. Megan was our waitress. She was pleasant, efficient and brought us fresh coffee as soon as we sat down. She advised my husband on ordering what was best for what he wanted. I got the mini pancakes and half order of sausage. The pancakes are the best! The store attendant held my purchases until I finished my breakfast. We had a small wait for breakfast but I didn't mind because I shopped. Great experience.
