The food is very good with the customer service is awful they are very rude and not helpful at all

I just encountered the rudest cashier ever. I went to the Cookout on University Blvd. North Charleston. I wanted a huge Diet coke and when cashier gave me a large she said that is what I ordered. I asked her if I could pay difference and get a huge. She said she couldn't do that. I told her I would gladly pay difference, she handed me my food and closed the window. I sat there and she continued to ignore me. FInally, she opened up the window and looked at me. I told her I would like a huge diet coke. She said I didn't pay for that. I asked her to please get a manager to help her ring up difference and I would pay. She JERKED the large diet coke from my hand, shut the window, poured the large drink in a Huge cup, put an little ice in it and opened window and put over to me and shut window. I was trying to ask her what her name was but again, she just ignored me. She had no name tag, never smiled, greeted me, thanked me, ZERO customer service! Clearly she was miserable with her job, life, I am not sure but she was very rude. They were not even busy, There was no one in drive thru with me. She doesn't need to work with people if she cannot provide customer service to public. I am very irritated with this service. I tried calling the phone number listed which takes me to corporate and a vm comes on the leave a message but the VM is full!

Great flavor, but I was really expecting a bigger burger when I see something called Huge Dbl Burger. But I'm from Texas and nothing will ever too the size of a Whataburger

My cashier Chloe was nice. However the food wasn't good. Fries were soggy, chili tasted old, onion ring flavorless and soggy, chicken wrap.couldn't even smell it, it smelled bad. Gave it a shot.

Probably 20+ vehicles waiting. Didn't move for 10 min. I left. Just wanted a milkshake. Saw two employees sitting inside when I walked in. They told me dining room was closed.well apparently both drive thru's are too. Can't get there act together to run a few car's. I guess I'll go on over to Chick Fila. With out a doubt I'll get through the line quick and easy.

Order burger with no mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise, got mayonnaise and smothered in mustard. Ordered chicken strips with ranch, got no ranch. Got no napkins. Very poor job. I won’t return and can’t recommend. Be sure to check your order before leaving the drive through otherwise you’ll have to go through the drive through again to to get it replaced. Dine in was closed.

Went today and was at the 1st drive thru window. Was told at the speaker that this side was cash only and you would have to go back around to the other side for credit. Really? I just waited 10 minutes in this line and now I'm stuck because they have no way you can get out of line. You should really put out signs to let people know! Very bad customer service!

They only do drive up. I found our burgers appeared tossed together and buns squished.
I think they are very short of help, as most businesses are thanks to Covid!

It's a holiday and I didn't have time to get to my favorite bbq joint. Cookout will do. If you like hush puppies, this will definitely work.

I stopped in today 7/11/21 around 12: 20pm I pulled up to place my order with no response. I waited and finally said hello no response waited again no response I did this 3 times I waited about 2 mins and finally drove up to the window. I was told I can not take your order at the window. When I mentioned I waited and said hello three times not told sorry but told we are short staffed and I can not take your order and closed the window. For businesses wanting people to come in their doors not how I felt I should have been treated. When I pulled up I should have been told I will be with you in a minute especially after saying hello not once but 3 times. Wasted 10-15 of my time and had a window closed on me. I will think twice before I pull in to give my money to your business.

Its inexpensive and usually quick (except after 1 am). The cheeseburger quesadilla is decent and the shakes are always good. The fries are hit or miss and the burgers and hot dogs are cheap and greasy.

Been here twice. I thought the two drive-thru lines got confusing when pulling up to the windows. Servings are surprisingly small so, order 2

Love to go to cookout as it's cheap and normally pretty quick.

I will say this location needs better signage at the road and maybe some barriers or cones as traffic is not going around to access the drive thru, they're cutting across the entrance into the right lane and backing up traffic into the roadway. This happens nearly every time I go.

Ordered fries, received slaw.not sure how that gets mixed up. Maybe the speakers need to be fixed?

Also almost had someone run into me because of the traffic pattern mentioned earlier.

A girl that worked the window at 6: 48 pm today has horrible customer service. She ignored my husband when he was talking to her and gave him a nasty look when he asked kindly for a bag for his 4 boxes of food. Don’t be lazy and put the bag in the food and leave the attitude at home, it doesn’t belong at work, otherwise customer service isn’t for you! Let someone else with a positive attitude and a contagious smile work here. A little positivity goes a long way. Also, open up your dag-gone diner! Everywhere else is opened. Stop living in fear and please stop with the soggy fries. Everything else seems alright.

Shakes are to die for but the rest of the food seems to be meh at best. Locations are hit and.iss on service, but that could be the current labor market. We tried BKT, burger, hotdog, and so on, but none was anything worthwhile - okay hangover food really. Price was great, so that may be the trade off.

If I could I would give it zero stars. I will never go here again. Every time I get food here they mess up the order. I haven't been able to get anyone on the phone or to even come to their always locked doors to fix the order. You can barely understand anything from the messed up drive through box.

Really disappointed.dining room STILL not open, my food order was wrong- had to redo my burger, ice tea did not have extra ice.

Their food is pretty good for the price, but their drive through takes forever to get through. Word of advice for anyone going through it, DO NOT use the right lane, it takes more than twice the time (on average) than the left lane

Got three trays plus shakes for $20. Food was well cooked, delicious and service was awesome. If you don't try this out at least once, you're doing yourself a disservice

It was just basic burgers and fast food. The quality is very good and the options you get for your sides hi pretty incredible. You do a good job you can actually get some of your favorites twice. Anything from cheese curds the quesadillas has extra sides that are french fries. Also you can upgrade to a milkshake for just $2 see credible actually good deal out there. And the food is prepared quickly and well. This was fast and quick and a late-night run and there was two been 20 people in line waiting to go so that must say something about what everybody else thinks of it as well

Completely butchered my order, about half of the items were completely incorrect. Other items were missing completely. Seemingly no attempt made to put in the stuff I ordered. I will not be going back here again.

I wish I could eat here every day! Best milkshake in town! Very good prices.large amounts of food in the combo meals. Fast service

I went last night, after waiting in line 20 mins, when I pulled to outside drive thru order box, the lady said this line can only take cash at the moment and I'll have to get back in line to get in other line. Many people had same issue. At least put a sign out so I dont have to wait in line twice

This time was a little slow but I'm still rating it 5 because they are usually ON IT! Great milkshakes and the burgers taste just like you grilled them at home.

Wanted a good hotdog all day and someone recommended the cook out. It was a great choice, they are the real definition of fast food.

I have been here twice and both times the food is so fresh and hot. The ladies are so nice and I never had to wait along time for my food.

Went last night at 1am. The place was jammed PACKED in the drive through. Waited for stinkin ever! It didn't help that the window was NOT servicing cars in order! I was in the outside lane. & they emptied the inside lane 1st! WTH? Y'all need to take classes from Chick-fil-A! They know HOW to work a drive through line flawlessly. I guess you get what you pay for.including the customer service. Grrrr!

The food was as sinfully hot as the man's voice who took my order. I thought I was in a Lifetime movie or a romance novel.

Cant get much better than this, amazing bbq style foods at amazing prices. If u need some top tier food, this is the spot. I munch from here weekly, its SO damn good

The only bad thing was that even though they had signs up requiring masks, it wasn't until we got parked and to the door that we learned it was drive thru only

Everything I've eaten has been good. Service is fast and staff are very nice. The best part is that the tray's are cheap and they're open till 4am!

I never had a bad experience at this location. I haven't been in quite some time, I believe I'm due for a return visit. I usually get the Regular Barbecue Combo and a Shake for the road. The Barbecue Sandwich is a nice change of pace and sort of a unicorn when it comes to menu items. I shall return.

Service was nice but I got a chilli dog with cheese and cajun fries. The wenner and the chilli was burned and the cajun fries was just seasoned salt on them. Never will I order them again.

Only had one bad experience but I'm sure the guy was just exhausted and ready to go home since it was 2: 45am.but his attitude could have been a little better.

I went here and I order a tray and my whole entire order was wrong and they did not give me my large drink I ordered i’ve called but they keep answering and then hanging up the phone on me I am very disappointed this is the worst experience I have ever had.

We went by for lunch with our daughter around 11: 30. Went through the drive thru "because of Covid". Order was correct. The fries and onion rings were greasy and the tea smelled and tasted like frying oil. The burger was off the bun. This was the worst food we have had here.

I realize it is fast food. Cook Out was at one point a step above McDonald's, Burger King and the other chains. I do not object to paying more for decent food. I hope Cook Out will step up their game.

Quick and easy meal that will fill you up for much less than any other fast food joint. Cook Out tray with the best milkshake selection in town. I highly recommend the peach cobbler and the banana pudding!
