Club Wyndham Towers on the Grove

It's a lot better than the hotels in the area, but each room seems to be laid out different. I love their ocean front rooms, but unfortunately this time our room was by the entrance as soon as you open the door the master Bedroom immediately on the right. Not my preference, there was an incident with housekeeping excessively loud, and when I opened my door, leaned out to ask if they could close the door next to ours (so it wouldn't hit the metal piece they had turned out to keep the door from closing all the way, with each back to back entrance & exit ->they were letting the door slam hitting the metal piece, instead of allowing the door to close properly & use their armband master pass, to go in & out of the door- & it was directly beside of our room only a few feet from the bed) - housekeeping replied, “we are cleaning the room, to get ready for our next guest. ” I said, “yes I am aware, bc we are guest too, that checked in later than we planned last night. We just need a bit of rest before we start our weeks vacation. ” She seemed annoyed, but at least she obliged my request & it stopped the slamming of the door back to back as they were entering & exiting, thus allowing the door to close properly (instead of slamming on the metal used to turn out to keep door propped open). Other than this isolated event, we had an awesome vacation. I have stayed at other Wyndham Resorts I prefer, much less crowded, especially the parking garage. Overall, I'd stay here over any hotel anytime. The front desk personnel were all friendly and very helpful. Next time I'll be more selective, when I make reservations. I was also surprised to see so many children out of school in the fall, perhaps a results of COVID-19? As seniors, we are using our ownership to travel the country & we scheduled the beach trip for this time of year, specifically bc school would be back in session, much to our surprise, a lot of children were here during the week. It would be ok if parents would control their children, or follow the resort rules and accompany them to the hot tub, especially during 8- 10 pm, when they are clearly under the age of 14, as a requirement, posted on the wall. Many under that age are a bit too playful and want to splash around, while older couples & groups of friends are just trying to relax. Our overall stay along with the cleanliness was exceptional. We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights and had an amazing time! All of the staff were very helpful and friendly and made sure our stay was relaxing and stress free. It was in a great location with direct beach access. We never had any trouble with parking. We used the pool and hot-tub pretty much every day and never had any problems with overcrowding and all the other guests were kind and respectful. The bed was very comfortable and we took advantage of the studio kitchen to cook breakfast a few mornings! The only negative thing I would have to say about this place is I wish the pool and hot tub area was open later than 10. We would’ve enjoyed a few more nights of quiet relaxing time by the pool.

Great room with a view! We our stay. It would be nice to have a restaurant or lounge in the hotel. Otherwise, amenities were great.

This is a great place to stay especially if you want to avoid some of the more crowded places yet still be close to shopping and restaurants. The rooms are fantastic as well as the staff.

Love Towers on the Grove! Beautiful views and the condo was fantastic! Great location lose to everything at Cherry Grove!

We had 5 people and there was a small sofa in the small living room. Small eating area only seated 4 people. It was more like a motel room.

Not crowded at this time of year. Nice to have the extra activities for the family. Ice cream truck, djs, music, marshmallows by the fire pit. Clean and well maintained.

I had an amazing stay at this location. While it started off with a little confusion in terms of the check-in process and guest registration, the property is gorgeous. Once I arrived one attendant advised me to go to the lobby on the 1st floor to check-in. Another attendant advised me of curbside check-in. The curbside check-in was quick and painless. I was advised that once settled in my room to go to guest services for pool tags. It would've been helpful if cubside check-in could provide pool tags and make it a one stop situation. Hopefully they will in the future since they can provide room keys.

The room and view was stunning. It was the perfect blend of what I needed for a relaxing vacation. The bed was comfortable and the layout of the studio worked perfectly for me. After checking into my room, as suggested I went down to guest services for my pool tag. Myself and another gentleman arrived at the service counter at the same time. I noticed the attendant helping the gentleman was very thorough with reviewing the amenities on the property while my attendant just gave me a pamphlet to read and call with any questions. I hope in the future all members receive the same amount of care and attention that the gentleman received.

After reviewing the pamplet in my room, I was amazed at the thought of a calendar and daily activities. While I traveled solo, the activities helped me to feel included and for that, I'm truly thankful that I chose this location for vacation. I'm sure to return in the near future.

Great vacation stay. Very clean rooms, loved that they offer activities. Kids enjoyed making bottle of shells, ghost crab hunt, shark tooth hunt, and boat race. Guy at the pool walks around to give out cold drinks and pop cycles for kids.

Customer service was awesome! Check in was easy and check out was contactless.most employees had masks on which was great to it made us feel more comfortable. We will be back soon! Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here last second after our flight for our honeymoon was cancelled and I cannot thank the staff enough! They were AMAZING! They truly worked a miracle for us, Vicki, Kathy and Curtis went above and beyond our expectations! Thank you all so much! We WILL be back! ️

The staff was very helpful. Jennie Smith always had a smile on her face. She let everyone know what would be happening during the day to improve one's stay. Tyler seemed to be everywhere doing anything that needed to be done. Ricky was also very helpful for us. Zayne would deliver things quickly and cheerfully. Sandy was our internet guru. Mike made sure our needs were taken care of.

Nice facility with great ocean views. The check-in/out area in the garage was quite crowded, but the staff did an excellent job of traffic control. The room was older, but in good condition and clean upon arrival. Strongly recommended

AMAZING! Room was great, view was breathtaking, staff was above and beyond. Stayed here with my new husband on our honeymoon and we’ll definitely be back!

I'll give the hotel (ONLY) and not anything to do with wyndham club themselves five stars, thanks ladies up at the front desk with the rest of our stay and making us feel more comfortable after the mishap with the wyndham employees, they put a bad taste in our mouth with ever wanting to do future business with them, but anyways thanks again hotel employees, next time we stay it will be without reservations through wyndham and we will skip them and go straight through you guys for a more comfortable stay, see you guys next time, thanks

We had a great few days! The room was clean, the staff was courteous and we were able to get some much needed relaxation. Will visit again!

Be careful booking at this place.

We are so disappointed.

They canceled our reservation with no reason. Now we are struggling to find a place to stay.

Waste of time. I just hope they reimburse our money back quickly.

Room is clean, the drop off area on the ground floor is convenient but parking garage is across the street so if the driver is mobility challenged it's also 4 lanes of traffic to cross. Wifi keeps losing the connection in our 19th floor room.

Unfortunately this year I am dissatisfied with Wyndham’s management/customer service etiquette.
My mom, who has a disability has a service dog with her who is here at Wyndham. We had called a day in advance to make sure that we would not have to wait for the room to be ready for us to get into it due to the service dog not being able to be in the summer heat as well as my mom with her condition.
Upon arrival, we were told that the room was not ready and could be hours until it was. When I asked to speak with the female manager she was very blatantly rude and showed no hospitality. As I was standing there, the lady with concierge explained how most of the time the rooms are “trashed” and they never know how long it may take to clean them. I understand that you cannot exactly control what people do in their hotel rooms - but it should not take six hours to clean a “trashed hotel room”, and if it does take that long then the customer should be offered a different room.
It is very sad that I have to write this review about Wyndham’s Management & how they did not take my moms disability or her service dog (being in the heat) into consideration and did nothing to accommodate us. The one good thing they offered was the pool bands to be able to use the pool.
I hope that anyone else who may have a disability/a service dog are not put through the same ordeal we are being put through and dissatisfactory customer service that we have experienced. I am truly shocked by this and very dissatisfied with Wyndham Towers On the Grove.

We stayed for a week last October and loved everything about it! Customer service was amazing, our room was squeaky clean, the view was perfect. We can't wait to go back this year!

For an ADA suite, I expected one of the two bathrooms to have a walk in shower instead of garden tubs. The rooms, however, were clean, the washer/dryer combo a great addition to our vacation, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and the pool and lazy river were a great option when it was too hot to sit on the beach. If you didn't bring beach chairs or umbrellas, you can rent them for the day and have them set up for you in advance, as well as beach wheelchairs, and I believe strollers as well.

Had a pleasant stay, at this location, friendly staff and very clean room. No issues, was there on a Marketing package, had to do a 90 PLUS minutes ownership update at Another resort, Salesman Jordan was nice and informative, then the Deal closer came in trying his very very best to upsell us on more and would not take no for an answer. Was very aggressive and we ended up leaving rather aggravated with him. We are comfortable with the package that we currently own and are not interested in more perks and spending more money $$$$$$ and explained that to him, other than that 3 hours, we had great weekend there. Hope to go back some time in the near future.

My friends and I are on vacation for 7 days steps away from the beach. So far we are enjoying our stay, the amenities and ocean view. The staff has been very professional, helpful, friendly and courteous. Thanks!

It's beautiful just small and crowded. Such a shame to close down the little water slide and children's area to have a guy sing karaoke. A radio would have done just fine and given much needed space for swimming Anna laying out.

The security guard treated me horrible thinking I was not a guest bc I did not have my blue wristband on. Embarrassed and hurt.

Friendly staff, great location, lots of places within walking distance and comfortable clean room. Only disappointment was that my son new Xbox, was not compatible with their television. Maintenance try to fix the situation, but told us that the television was not a updated. So he had was unable to play his games. But that was ok, he spent more time outside which made me happy

Wyndham is back to telling it's old stories Apparently hurting after covid The sales team is aggressively trying to get you to give them more of your hard earned money I've never seen so many disgruntled owners both at Sea Watch and Ocean Towers on the Grove

Located on beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. Great place for family's. Pools, lazy river, hot tubs, spacious rooms with a view, activities vary daily, newly remodeled.

We have been Club Wyndham/RCI owners for 30+ years. So we have lots of experience with Club Wyndham/RCI

First the pros:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for nicer people. Security is very helpful with loading and unloading in a small area. They have a large parking garage right across the street.

Location was great. Several reasonably priced restaurants within walking distance (Seafood, Pizza, Ice Cream. Even the grocery store has an eat in deli).

Beach was great. There is a company doing parasailing and banana boat rides right down on the beach. You can also rent a umbrella and beach chairs from the city for the day. Either go online or just talk to the attendant down on the beach and they will get you taken care of.

Cons:

We had a 1 bedroom condo and it was very small.it felt more like a studio.than a 1 bedroom. I even went to ask if we were really in a 1 bedroom? They said we were but this property was not originally a Wyndham property and that they had bought it from someone else.

Instead of a king bed we had 2 double beds. There was no storage for food in the small kitchen (Had to put all the non refrigerated stuff on the stove). And the wall between the "bedroom area" (attached to the kitchen) and the living room (which is the actual separate room) had some kind of weird hurricane shutter type window in it so there was really no privacy for anyone.

Also it was so small in the living room that once you put down the air mattress for one of my kids (I have two teenagers who won't share a fold out sofa). There was no way to get to the balcony in the morning to drink our coffee without waking our one kid up.

Three other things to be aware of. Not really in the control of Wyndham but just to be aware of:

1. You are allowed to smoke on the beach in N Myrtle Beach, SC. Which as a former 30 year smoker I get people want their nicotine. But there are no designated smoking areas. People just light up wherever they want. If your a smoker be courteous to others and step to the back of the beach and smoke down wind from people. Not everyone wants to smell your Marlboro.

2. Crossing Ocean Blvd is taking your life in your own hands. Even though their our signs every other corner saying to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks most drivers aren't watching. Almost got hit several times while we were there. So especially if you have small children be careful when crossing the street (and this is all streets, not just Ocean Blvd).

3. DON"T GO TO THE WALMART! It was like Lord of the Flies! Busiest Wal-Mart I have ever been to and they were out of half the stuff we needed. We only went there because we had to buy the aforementioned air mattress for our one kid. There is a very nice IGA 2 blocks away. There is also Publix and Food Lion near by.

Over all we made it work and it was a fun time. Just wasn't up to the standard I usually expect at a Wyndham property. I would stay here again but only if I can book a 2 bedroom unit.

Great place for families! Great location at the end of Hwy 9, walking distance to many of the local eateries/shops. A short trip up to Calabash NC for delicious seafood. The lazy river was a go to with the kids but the beach is always a hit too! Found lots of beautiful shells and even a few shark teeth! The workout area seemed nice, I didn't personally use it.
Parking was easily accessible right across the street with two cross walks in either end of the hotel. The grill area was very nice and you can borrow a BBQ tool kit from the front desk. Fire pit area opens in the evenings, weather permitting with nice sitting area. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place and staff were a great asset. Kathy went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcomed. Will definitely be returning!

Such an amazing staff. Very friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained. Extremely clean. Loved the view from my bedroom and balcony. THE OCEAN. We will be back.

Love this place! The rooms are very nice and staff are very helpful. Close to IGA which has a great seafood market and sushi bar.
