Caviar & Bananas - Gourmet Market & Cafe

I tried the large caprese salad. It was a little bit of a disappointment as the noodles was dry and you could tell this packaged item sat for a few days as the tomatoes was already softened after tasting one of them, the mozzarella cheese was way too soft and was mushy and was starting to crumble apart and tasted like onion. The onions was already bleeding their colors onto the cheese and pasta if you view the photos below.

I did reach out to the restaurant and they did apologize for the order and they did offer me a portion of credit off my next order. They do have great customer service and I appreciate that. I will be willing to give them another try again.

I am glad that Caviar and Bananas is closing at the Charleston Airport. I went to get myself a sandwich and I got yelled at by the staff for sitting down at a table and chair. I am pregnant and needed to take a seat but they insisted that the table was closed. People were sitting down at the other table but I was singled out. It was very rude, loud, and completely unacceptable behavior. I can’t wait for the next business to take their place.

This was the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Not even over exaggerating. Too bad I don’t live in Charleston, because I will be craving this every day for the rest of my life! It was the most delicious, flavorful sandwich I’ve tasted and also reasonably priced. Quality food and ingredients.

C&B catered a celebration of life for our family. They were awesome to work with and provided high quality food at a fair price. They went above and beyond with the set up and service. The food was delicious and with generous portions. Lavosh chips were my favorite! Highly recommend!

We were recommended this spot by a student at the college and we loved it so much we went for breakfast two days in a row!

The atmosphere was nice, open, and welcoming while also looking very cool. My kiddos came with me and were not out of place. The DIY breakfast sandwich was delicious as was the snickerdoodle coffee (their featured coffee when I went in).

I will absolutely return when I visit again!

Went this weekend with our CofC student who has a favorite sandwich at C&B! She ordered her fave and I tried something different. We took her suite mate too and we all loved it. Delicious and a nice set up. We ordered takeout and enjoyed a picnic close by! Highly recommend.

I often order C&B catering for office lunches - 10/10 highly recommend. Not only is the food exceptional, but the catering team and staff are such a pleasure to work with. If you're looking for a caterer, you cannot go wrong with Caviar & Bananas. The Naked Kale Salad and the Onion Dip are a must.

Used to be an easy place to grab lunch but the staff is so rude that I always feel like dirt leaving here. Food not worth the experience, plenty of nicer places downtown to grab a salad or coffee.

Really good sandwiches! I've never had pecans in a chicken salad, but it's a new favorite. There were a variety of ingredients that were unique, wholesome, and tasty.

Coffee was good, too! I liked the atmosphere, along with the boutique food items for purchase.

The woman taking our order was very unfriendly and not accommodating. The kitchen also made the wrong sandwich. Bad experience overall.

We don’t live in Charleston and while looking for gluten free locations, we had expectations for Caviar & Bananas. Ordering was a bit stressful at this location for two reasons: timing, since it was lunch time and it was packed of students; and disorganization, since the staff was confused with orders. The food is ok. We’ve had better experiences while looking for something within the same budget.

Greg, the general manager, helped my family make accommodations for my gluten free diet. Highly recommend working with him! Super sweet and happy to assist us.

Caviar and Bananas did my catering for my bridal party the morning of my wedding while my bridesmaids were getting ready! Ryan and his team were extra accommodating with our catering requests and my bridesmaids LOVED the sandwiches and salads that they provided! Many of my bridesmaids had dietary restrictions and the catering menu provided an option for each girl! Thank you to Ryan and the C & B team for making my wedding day lunch the BEST!

Caviar and Bananas is a MUST TRY in Charleston! They offer Gluten-free baguettes which is unheard of for any sandwich place, and as someone who has been gluten-free most of my life, this was such a special and wonderful treat!

We ate here twice on our three day trip to Charleston and it was great both times! Though their cold drinks are overpriced (we only got them the first time) we loved all four sandwiches we tried! Their flavor combinations are really intentional and scrumptious. Just ask for extra sauce or mayo as the bread is really thick and it felt a little dry. They are located just outside of all the busyness of the bustle of Charleston, so it's quite accessible but nice and quiet.

Best Gluten-free sandwich you will have anywhere.

We were pleasantly surprised at this hipster version of a deli. Kiddo and i both got gluten free baguette. His was a BYO BLAT and i had caprese. Also had a side of kale salad. Hubs had the gluten steak sandwich. All of us were pleased with the quality of our samdwiches. They arent huge sandwiches, but all of us were perfectly satiated with the sandwich and a side. Counter girl was friendly and helpful.
