Breakers Myrtle Beach Resort

It was a nice location and would be perfect for a summer break. There’s an italian restaurant called Ramandos (definitely worth a try). Can’t say the same for the service at the resort from when we walked in to when we checked out was awful I would definitely visit again but i wouldn’t stay at this resort specifically.

The Breakers is a beautiful hotel and some what clean. There was hair in our bathtub, but we were able to shower around it. My only other couple complaints are that the pool and hot tubs were next door; yes this is fine in the summer, but not December when you want to chill out at the pool and or hot tub to relax. And the maids come and knock at your door early am and starts vacuuming floors too, this it's annoying when you have a long drive home. I know there's "Do not Disturb" signs, but this doesn't stop the vacuuming when cleaning other rooms.

Had dinner at Strong Waters this evening and the food and service was amazing. Kait was our server and she was superb. We had the Ruby Rose cocktail. Simply delicious.

It was a great hotel, and it felt like we had the whole floor to ourselves (went during off-season). Staff was very nice and the rooms were clean and updated.

Beautiful property and great location. Everything's kept so clean and tidy. Enjoying live music from next door.

Rooms are extremely outdated and very small in the one across the street from registration. Parking was a nightmare. I had my family with me and i was not staying one night in that room. Had to get a refund and go to another hotel. Thank you Priceline for saving the day lady minute. I got a two bedroom suite at beach cove. Much better place. We had a great time there and will be coming back next year. Too bad for Breakers!

Will was over the top helpful with parking and our luggage. Very patient. Great personality!

Ok for kids! Too many people in the pools for the size. Endless screaming children, wet, sandy, sketchy elevators. 1 guest stuck for 1 and a half hours in our 5 day stay. Restaurant was dirty and food was C-. Won't go back.

Great experience, everyone was so nice, they saved us, we came from WV with my mother to get over a major surgery, we booked with booking com, when we arrive they tell us we have no room it was double booked, and they had no rooms available, the sandcastle, so we are miles from home, we found you guys who saved us, we had to scrape to pay and didn't do alit because booking takes 7to 14 days to reimburse, I'm thankful for you all

This is the 2nd year in a row that I've been going there and I always have only good words. The staff is kind, welcoming, they treat us as if we were their friend. All rooms in this hotel have a view of the beach. Really I recommend 1000%

Surprisingly clean, good amenities (the gym was pretty bobo but who goes to a beach hotel to work out?), great location, but their parking garage is pretty dangerous (way too narrow, people driving way too fast) and doesn’t have enough spots.

They also need about double or triple the number of elevators they have.

Due to construction and labor shortage. Cleanliness was issue. No making of room just provided room supplies needed. Water activity facilities without any maintenance dirty water and indoor facility with everything open.

Great spit in the old strip- got water slides for the kids and hot tubs for the adults- great beach view bar - rooms are condos with kitchen dishes and fidge - not need for your own bed clothes - close to everything like the sky wheel - volleyball courts - the Bowery and The classic peaches corner

Pleasantly surprised by the value delivered during my one night stay driving up the east coast. The check-in was prompt and the staff very friendly and helpful. Generous two bed suite including balcony at a bargain price. Yes it was off season but still the place was clean, view gorgeous, and had many choices for eating after a long day driving. Will definitely stay here should the occasion arise to visit Myrtle.

We had a great time here and enjoyed all of the amenities like the hot tubs, pool and lazy river. There were plenty of places to sit and see the beach. The beach itself was also very clean and private. The room was spacious, and the murphy bed came in handy. I would definitely stay again.

4 stars for the front desk/check-in person and view.

Initially while reserving our room we were told The Paradise tower was their most recently renovated building, well when we checked in and got to our room it was not updated and did not have the amenities in the kitchen that were mentioned while booking our stay. The lazy River and some parts of the pool at paradise tower smelled like vomit and the kids water slide was closed throughout our stay accept for one day. My 4 year old was very disappointed as he could not use the other bigger slides in other Breakers facilities.

The person in the registration office was able to switch us to a room in their Palms building which was updated and had the kitchen amenities we were looking for.

I would recommend the management pay better attention to cleaning the rooms as it seemed like the area behind the Murphy bed was not cleaned/vacuumed for months.

Overall our stay was pleasant with great view of the ocean and the front desk person was really helpful.

Save your money! This place is disgusting. Upon arrival we asked for additional sheets. The set we were given was dirty. Very dingy. The bedding on our bed even had stains. We went to the front desk. We were told nothing is available. My husband turned on the heater. It smelled like burning leaves. We were all nauseous and dizzy from the smell. We went to complain again. No change. Attendant was very cavalier. Our infant cried because of the smell too. Horrible. Worst vacay ever! Pay the extra money for somewhere nicer.

Never again will stay here. Have been coming 17 years and this is the last. First off reservation was wrong. Always have stayed ocean front but mix up with staff put us with a great view of the construction next door. Front desk receptionist Tom is the most rude and surly person I have ever met. Just my luck this is the 2nd encounter I've had with him. Two years ago asking about the parking deck he abruptly shut me down and then tonight asking for towels was an interrogation in front of my 10 year old son. He is in the wrong line of business, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND JUST A TERRIBLE PERSON. Also no glass coverings to block the cold for the indoor pools, and hot tubs at all 3 buildings. Would have been great to know before booking 7 nights here. Taking my family and my money away from the Breakers.

Great place to stay! Everything was in walking distance. Clean rooms, little outdated but great for the price. Will stay again.

Best grouper fingers! Live music, good atmosphere.
Also 3 or 4 other restaurants you can just walk to, including River City Cafe.

Such wonderful people that work for them. Any issues or questions I had they answered and did all they could to help me.

Never stay in sailfish! Dirty dirty dirty. The sheets were stained when first arriving and were not used yet. Pulled sheets back and YUCK! That’s enough to turn me off. Great views and location was not enough after that. Broken balcony door couldn’t use it before maintenance had to fix!

The Breakers was ok! We stayed in the Paradise Tower. Had a minor hiccup where there was a bug in the room, we called the front desk & the quickly switched us to another room on another level. The rooms could use a little updating and there should be restrooms near the pool area. My kids had to run back to our room on the 5th floor to use the restroom & although it said indoor pool, they had all the doors and windows open so the wind from the cold front had the pool area freezing. They change those few things & it'll be perfect. Despite the little downers, I'll return but, I'll probably choose the Palms Tower next time.

Update: went back after manager invited us to stay again. One of the best vacations that I ever had! Way to make it great! Good job guys! Will stay here from now on when visiting Myrtle beach.

Asked for 3rd floor. Brought my 80+ year old parents. They assigned us the 14th floor and so we asked them about our 3rd floor request. They were not friendly about it. We took the room and now we are here and it smells like cigarette smoke. My mom is allergy sensitive to it. Always has been and she uses oxygen. We’ve really been looking forward to this trip with them, but I am not happy with Breakers!

Just checked in and I’m so disappointed, I can’t believe how outdated the decor is. It’s almost laughable. There’s chipped furniture and stains everywhere. We can’t use the couch because there are white stains all on it. I had to request new linens due to shaved hairs on the sheets of one of the beds. Nice job to customer service who immediately sent up new sheets but I had to change them myself. I wish I could attach pictures. We are supposed to stay another day, but I will be checking out and hopefully can find someplace else so that I can actually enjoy my bday getaway.

Good experience for a great price. If you're super picky or looking for top notch luxury, this probably isn't the place, but it's a good basic hotel with decent pools and we had a good time.

Here’s the rub: when I made the reservation over a month ago I chose this hotel strictly for the indoor pools. The Lady I spoke with insisted this was the location with the best indoor pools.
Before our arrival, I read reviews that they had not closed in the pools. So…I called and spoke with a very nice man by the name of Tim who seemed surprised the doors were open and then confirmed they were- and stated he would have maintenance close them.
Upon arrival on Wednesday, not closed. So I called and spoke to a manager. I’m pretty sure his name was Kyle. He stated that he would have someone close them the next day. The next day was Thanksgiving (I did not expect them closed that day). However, as of our departure on Saturday, they were still not closed.

So here’s a breakdown of my review- if you have a family with young kids who want to enjoy the indoor pools, you need to ensure they are closed or go somewhere else. The hotel itself is fine. We had no further issues.

Clean and friendly hotel. Amenities such as the pool, water slides, hottubs, and lazy river are great. Ocean front views are breath taking

The room is nothing special and the appliances are small like you find in a hotel not a condo. The wifi was terrible, I had to keep refreshing it just to get my phone to work cause the At&t signal was so weak even with 5g. We also requested a floor above level 10 and we were on the second floor. Views were nice even with the construction going on next door. I am sure there are better spots to stay at. The one positive was the walking distances to local places to eat thats why the score is a 3.

It's not bad, just the Dunes section is notably dated. I can't say anything was bad (aside from the thinner than expected walls, lack of plugs for electronics, low water pressure in the shower, and non curved shower rod). Also noticed writing on some of the furniture (presumably from previous guest). The staff was professional and personable and the beds, a/c, lighting, tv, and hot water were nice. For the price it was reasonable, just not amazing.

Our trip and accommodations were everything we had hope for and more-The One bedroom Unit in the Palms building was exactly as the pictures showed- The view from our ocean front balcony was amazing. I am not a beach person and the only reason that I agreed to go was the fact that my wife of 56 years has been wanting to go to Myrtle Beach since we got married-I am not a beach person but I reluctantly agreed to this trip. And I have to confess that I so enjoyed the stay, the beach, the city, the people that we have already booked our room for next year. Thanks to everyone at the Resort for making this trip so enjoyable-

We been here several times and we love from the quick check in service to the rooms and view of the ocean.

This place SUCKS! It’s definitely OUTDATED, most the rooms STINK! The beds are hard, front desk is useless, shuttle doesn’t work (somebody quit) There are multiple buildings ALL OUTDATED! The Dunes looks like a poorly ran MOTEL (Looks like the BATES hotel…. Lol the place looks HORRIBLE. The pictures have to have been taking when it was built. I don’t have absolutely nothing positive to say…. One elevator, the couches are disgusting (stains and dust) and not to mention it cost 1000$ to stay a few days and it’s totally completely utterly DISGUSTING!

Btw I stayed in the SAIL Fish in the Penthouse. The penthouse isn’t any better than any of the other room, no extra amenities. There are ZERO amenities at this hotel. The feel of this hotel is that it hasn’t been updated since the mid 90’s. My sister stayed in the Dunes

This has been the worst hotel experience we have ever had and we travel frequently.

We won’t return and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

NASTIEST ROOM I HAVE EVER STAYED IN. PARKING WAS HORRIBLE. THE ROOM STINKS. THE BATHROOM IS SO SMALL. CALLED THE FRONT FOR CLEAN TOWLES TOOK 3 CALLS BEFORE ANYONE ANSWERED. THEN WHEN THEY BROUGHT THEM NOT VERY CLEAN.

Let me start with we have been staying with u for 10 years.if u care to check always ocean front suite we request an upper floor for our 7 night stay made reservations 7 months ago after traveling 900 miles to get a 2 nd floor room. Nothing can be done we are sorry. Then we could not locate a luggage cart I asked 3 employees and was told I had find one myself check all the buildings and hallways
Never found one made 4 trips to my room I am still here if u want to tell me how sorry u are.this is our last stay with the breakers.we will be looking for a resort that will appreciate returning business EXTREMELY Disappointed

Loved it. Great family resort. Kids loved the water slides. Room was clean and very comfortable. Very updated decor.

As far as the room goes, it was comfortable and clean. The indoor pool in the Paradise building is another story. The outside area is undergoing renovation. They didn't have anything over what should have been windows so basically it was outside. It was so cold and windy that the hot tub was lukewarm at best. It was like a wind tunnel. I think they should have closed the indoor pool and let the hotel guests know. It would've been appreciated.

Absolutely love the spa suite if you can get it. Good location and not too far from everything.

I went to Myrtle beach to hang out with some old class mates from 50 yrs ago, they rented a condo for a few nights, and it was a very nice place. Great views of the ocean and easy access to food and fun!

It’s just ok for this price. Good thing is that we don’t care much about the “ocean view” cause it’s hilarious. Oh yeah I see the ocean from one corner of the balcony XD

We had a great week at this resort. Staff was nice. Rooms were decent. There was construction next door however, & some debris from the renovations were in the pools (appeared to be Styrofoam insulation). Other then that, no complaints.

Needs Love and lots of it! We had a family trip with 29 people. The early check in is a joke our rooms weren’t even ready for the 4pm check in time, staff didn’t care and were rude with attitudes. The beds have springs and are noisy and our sheets had blue ink all over. The room was clean other than the shower liner was stained but the rooms are very outdated. The view is everything and beautiful! The pool area needs repainted and cleaned. Enjoy Myrtle beach it’s wonderful! ️

Checked in and room wasn't cleaned coffee in coffee pot trash in kitchen trash can kotex in bathroom trash cans bed were not made and there's more! And our ac broke so maintenence was there over 2 hours fixing that! This is the second back stay at breakers in the past year! I will never stay at breakers again there's many more hotels on the strip for me!

They are having some construction inconveniences but this is still by far one of the nicest resorts right on the beach. The suites that they have on the corner rooms

The breakers resort is the best resort in Myrtle Beach because the rooms are awesome and with your food coupons included with your stay you can not beat a better deal for your money. Tim front desk manager is Awesome and Patricia over housekeeping is the best.

I stay here 95% of the time I come to Myrtle Beach it's in an great location not to far from anything.

This is one of my favorite hotels in Myrtle Beach! I love it there because of the DJ, different pools that you can go to, water slides, and the rooms are very nice with the beach view.

I would give them 5 stars because honestly place is great but the extra hiding charges for STATE TAXES? Never heard of it. I've been traveling around and never came across of such of thing. They guy at the counter not very helpful. I came with my sister and we had separated rooms. I kindly asked him if we could've been on the same floor or next to each other rooms and he couldn't do nothing not even try. Well anyways place is clean and area safe to walk around. Right off the beach. Too bad I had to pay an extra $170 dls extra. Overall

Nice beach resort, lots of pools, things for kids to do, and restaurants for food and drink. Ocean views galore, but the construction of the new build which we weren't warned about prior to the visit can be quite annoying.

Convenient to a lot of different stores and activities to do. The resort is nice because it has a lot of different things to do and you have options on different pools so your not crowded in one. And the water slides are awesome too!

It was a Good place to stay nice clean and the employees were very helpful! Thank you for all you do for your customers!

Terrible, they kept wanting us to buy stuff and we kept saying no. Absolutely terrible won’t be coming back

The Paradise Tower is anything but Paradise! Nowhere to park for load in, the elevators take too long and the lines are bad, we ordered a high floor when making reservations (and it was in the confirmation email) and we got the 3rd floor of 21 floors (wow really?), the guy at the water slides let my daughter on first 2 days then changed his mind on the 3rd making my kid cry even though my kid is at 48" high! The wi-fi never works and when it does it doesn't last long at all. Neither of the TVs in our room worked due to no signal. The bar service is terrible. Lady can't even make a basic Margarita properly! Out of pizza, chicken, hot dogs I think, crab, lobster, and some other items. Rooms were never really that clean and the balcony green outdoor carpet was disgusting! Our check in date was Sunday Aug 15th - Saturday Aug 21st in the Paradise Tower. On the 17th I'm pretty sure our fire alarm starts chirping about every 2 minutes likely due to a low battery. We call front desk and we were told they would send someone up. By Friday the 20th still not fixed, my kid can't sleep at night and neither could we. I guess safety isn't a priority at the place! We packed up (exhausted) and left a day early for a miserable 13 hour drive. We couldn't deal with the never ending problems piling up day after day! We went on vacation to get away from our problems but instead walked right into a nightmare of a vacation. The room number was 373 of the Paradise Tower and I can still hear the chirping in my head at night. I feel we should be refunded a cut of our stay with the amount of problems. I would think your house keeping would of called in that fire alarm problem if you'd like to verify.
