Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel

Excellent Location for Times Square and Central Park. Service was matter of fact, in some cases borderline rude. Breakfast spread was decent. The queen sized beds are the size of single bed.

The place is run down. Rooms arent clean. Before covid it was ok to stay there. I just can't do it anymore. Id rather walk a few extra blocks.

This hotel is in much need of a remodel!
even their best rooms are falling apart, carpet stained, fraying. Then furniture is scratched and broken. The shower for me worked on only ice cold, or flaming hot, and nothing in-between.
The staff was friendly and courteous, but the hotel is just way too old, dark, dated and in poor shape.
I ended up checking out early after my first night because of the state of the room I was in.

Terrible hôtel. A factory! Everything is old, sad and dirty. Windows dirty. Sheets dirty! Air conditioning noisy. Hôtel very noisy in the night (doors are too thin you hear everything) Never again!

Great location for shows and central park. Rooms are worn but clean. Service is as you would expect in NYC.

Really a poor hotel experience. Both in the condition of the hotel and poor customer service. The room was very small. Worst service ever in a Marriott hotel. Another negative opinion about their customer service is that they charged an additional 68$ after 2 days of check out. During checkout they confirmed like that we don't have any extra charge by verifying our room bills. 68$ is some hop on and hop off cost which I didn't opt for. The only positive is the location. But unfortunately we got a room without any view. Please keep all this in mind before booking.

Beware of junk fees added by Sheraton as a destination charge. Its a way to cheat customers. They never mentioned while check-in and during checkout they mentioned of no extra charge. Now, I I see they charged $34 per day. Now, when we call to enquire, they disconnect the phone. They should disclose hidden charges to the customers but these people won't. I won't stay in this hotel in future.

The staff was very friendly, especially the housekeeper and houseman on our floor who offered suggestions on things our son might like to do/go to eat in the area. Central location to Times Square and Central Park.

The Sheraton in Time Square is wonderfully situated within walking distance to the subway as well as all that Time Square has to offer. The lobby, conference areas are very modern. The bar is a great place to grab a drink. The elevators are efficient and are all touchscreen. Where the hotel is not up to par is in the actual room itself. Pretty outdated and cramped even by NYC standards, the room and bathroom were hard to be in for a small family of 3. Mini-fridges, which are often standard in most hotels, are only provided for a fee and on the nights I stayed, were unavailable. In summary, if you are only using the room to retire in for the night and spending the majority of your time elsewhere, this Sheraton should suffice. If you want a different hotel experience, would certainly suggest looking elsewhere

My wife and I are staying in a beautiful suite on the 49th floor as of 2021, November 3rd.

The 49th floor window view of downtown New York City and Central Park is inspiring.

It has good lighting, and the colour scheme, decor, and furniture choice of the room is most tasteful.

I particularly like the do it yourself password safe if one needs it, the USB ports, the many plug outlets, iHome alarm clock, and the multi-option phone.

I’ve personally enjoyed the clear noise free channel’s on the well sized in set wall TV.

I feel further inspired to mention that the staff and the manager went above and beyond in helping my wife when my wife was particularly troubled.

Pluses: Spotlessly clean, fresh everything (paint, bathrooms, linens, carpets window, a genuinely polite crew. Minuses: Ridiculously expensive. Yes, it's Manhattan and walking distance to 50+ Required Viewing If You're Here. But it's a Sheraton, not an Ian Shrager masterpiece.

I went for a conference so didn't stay in a room. The staff that I encountered (about 4) were friendly and adhered to and enforced the COVID-19 precautions in place. Must wear a mask inside the hotel.

The interior looks dated.

This Sheraton just continues to disappoint. Second time staying here, and the second time I’ve requested a room upgrade for being a titanium elite convoy member and request was declined both times. Not even a courteous upgrade to an upper level floor. The rooms are outdated and there is nothing special. Extremely disappointed, not worth the price for zero accommodations.

Stayed there a while ago. Got a noise complaint. Fair - we were talking loud. Got a second noise complaint minutes later. We were almost whispering while in bed. Management said they were outside the door listening for noise.

Even if we were loud (definitely not the second time) that's SUPER creepy.

Also pretty expensive and bad service. 3/10

Friendly staff, not rude or indifferent. Refrigerators not in rooms. On request only, is the only draw back. Great location for lots to do.

This Sheraton hotel has made some significant improvements over time. Most notably the elevator system is quite speedy even on busy event weekends like the MYC Marathon weekend when I stayed. I was also treated well at the front desk who noted my status and moved my room to the top floor which kept the city noises mostly unnoticeable. The in-hotel Starbucks is a welcome convenience even though there are tons of great restaurant options very close to the hotel. Museums, Central Park and Times Square are also close and everything else is within easy reach by subway.

Room is run down and dirty. The mattress is old and the sheets have holes. The refrigerator is $25. The room cost $800 for two nights.

This is a nice hotel. I'm sure once things get normalized it will get 5 stars. The restaurant will open and people can sit and enjoy things. Rooms have plenty of space by NYC standards and the under appreciated staff still manage to be more than helpful. I will be back!

We really enjoy the value of this wonderful hotel located in the heart of all a tourist would want to see and reminding us of why we love NY. We like to walk, and the surroundig area feels safe, even at night. The staff are helpful, and the staffing level seems to be recovering from Covid in that we are getting maid service daily. The Market restaurant is short on staff, but they are making do. Sheraton NY Times Square is our new place to stay.

Hotel was clean, looked nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only 6 blocks or so from Times Square.

A ridiculous $30 charge on which had to be used for hotel food and beverages was the biggest negative by far. I used $0 out of the $30 because I was in town for business dinners and to travel through the city.not sit in a hotel and eat. The $30 should be added to the cost of the room upfront and not tacked on after prepaying.

Good hotel. It's not as fancy as you think, interns of the rooms. Everything is clean and nice. Close to everything.

Excellent service! Fantastic front desk employees! It is a very old building, so the rooms are small and the hallways are dark. The rooms could use some updating.

I have stayed there twice and both times were absolutely amazing. The hotel is very clean and follow Covid restrictions very well! I felt safe and it’s in an amazing location and I 100% recommend.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was was relatively clean with the exception of finding someone’s leftover dirty sock stuck in the drawer of a bedside table (ew and so much for attentiveness). Location was convenient. Billing was a nightmare. I was charged for two guests vs.one (only myself in room/solo traveler), hidden, variable destination fees ($117 for one day, $32 for other days) which I wasn’t informed of up front, which is very deceptive. I was also charged $50 per day for an unknown fee I— no description was given and there was no minibar. I had to keep calling the business office to resolve these issues. Needless to say, I will not be staying with ANY Sheraton/Marriott again in the future regardless of being a Bonvoy member as customer service is subpar and billing practices are deceptive. And hotels wonder why they’re losing out to Air BnB?

Tiny beds that were rock hard. Noise from rooms next door and outside could be heard constantly. Would not repeat this choice.

Great all over. Clean. Perfect location at the center of the city. Helpful staff. Complete fitness center. Not that you are going to sleep in the elevator, but it is nice not having to make multiple stops when you come back tired. So I like that it has elevators assigned for range of floors. The rooms are decent size for NYC. It is not a bring your whole house place. Comfy beds.

Lovely hotel with really nice rooms. It's all perfect except for the bell man services are weirdly expensive and are credit only.

Staff did a wonderful job with cleaning and all Covid concerns. Hotel was nicely furnished, room was ready early, housecleaning every day, wonderful stay. Train/Merto stop on end of block. Walking distance to Time Square.

I booked the hotel via the Marriott App. Then I canceled in time since I could not fly to NY due to the travel ban.

Since I am on holidays I use the bonvoy app a lot. The stay was cancelled on time. Then suddenly the stay reappeared in the App and money was charged from my credit card. I used the chat function in the app to figure out the problem. They promised me to fix this and to make sure my money was refunded. I waited for days and nothing happened. I wrote them to send me an email when it was fixed. Nothing. Today I wrote them again. They did nothing and told me to call the hotel. I am not willing to call long distance to fix their problem. I made screenshots to complain to Marriott Bonvoy and to claim refunds from my credit card. Terrible service.

Here on a military exercise. Staff is very free polite and helpful. The rooms were very clean even though we are in a old hotel hotel, seem to be continually updated And fresh.

Amazon location with good clean rooms that exceed the standards of Sheraton's I have stayed at in the past.

If I could give it no stars I would. This hotel was so old and shabby shower curtain had mold on it bathroom counters definitely need to be remodeled. I would never stay at this hotel again it definitely gave me motel vibes and their price a night is pretty high.

For obvious reasons.location is everything, staff are friendly and the rooms are cozy (a little classic, but cute). The only downside, is wait time for responses or delivery of requested items/services - even so, they are gracious. But it's a huge hotel with a lot of guests; the team members make up the experience.

I have stayed at many Marriott chain hotel and this by far has been the worst. I would probably never stay at this hotel due to how unsanitary and unprofessional this location is. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Room was clean. Check in was easy Gym is great. Omar, my waiter in the breakfast restaurant was exceptional. Location can't be beat.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. When we checked in the was not cleaned properly. The food pieces were left on the furniture, some of the towels had stains of nail polish and some other red spots (maybe blood). We never got hot water in the shower. The fridge was locked in the room. Now microwave.
Basically, it didn’t meet any of our expectations. We finally had to check out and stay at another hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights.
The first thing I noticed is that the lobby floor was dirty, there were a lot of dust in the room and bathroom. When we were comí go into the room the housekeeper went right behind us coming inside the room looking for “5 bucks that she dropped” But beside all this, it has THE BEST location. You can walk to Central Park, museums, Broadway and Times Square it’s just a couple of blocks away. The rooms are very pretty, not very clean but pretty. I will definitely would stay again at this hotel just for the location.

Didn’t like the fact that I wasn’t informed about the $90 credit till check out! That’s a setup especially since only one of their food options are open at 12 p.m. If you don’t use it, you lose it so why aren’t customers informed upon arrival? Just okay hotel overall.

Recently spent 10 days there for the National Veterans Wheelchair Games. Was a great visit in all regards, and the staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout the stay.

It was so close to Central Park and time square! And the subway system was right next to it, making traveling so easy! That staff was all friendly and was always eager to help!

Great location. Walkable distance to Times square and Central park. Wifi is free. Slippers are provided upon your request. Free bottle of water are provided at the lobby. Views are not good, mostly facing other building's parking lot.
No destination fee. Bed is too lumpy, if you are sensitive, you wouldn't be able to sleep with someone next to you. Staffs are not kind.

We were here for morning coffee all week long. Great little spot with morning coffee crew of lively wonderful folks. The views from here are awesome. I spoke with lots of folks staying here and they were all happy. I would highly recommend stopping in here for coffee and enjoy the views and atmosphere
