Red Roof Inn Rochester - Airport

Poor and unsafe cleaning.no idea of timing and charging double from credit card.i was feeling unsafe i recommend not to use this hotel.unprofessional.they should stop this besness

If you like being almost attacked by an employee's off leash pittbull roaming the hallways and being yelled at by said employee or if the overwhelming smell of Oldspice is your thing, then this is the place for you. If you prefer not to have loose pit bull interactions with a angry irresponsible trashy maid maybe skip it. Motel 6 is next door and they allow pets too. So thankful my pom.wasn't with me. I would rate the place lower if I could.

Good: close to airport
Bad: staff is going through the motions
Not all rooms are well cleaned (one room we stayed in had dirt specks and cobwebs in the corners)
Only 2 pillows per room
Ugly: Water came pouring out of the ceiling fan and flooded the bathroom floor with a half inch of water. They moved us to another room, but there was no discount for our trouble to make a room change in the middle of the night, and barely even an apology.

Came with my girlfriend. Over priced its still cheap but overpriced. They do the bare minimum. Complained that we asked for an extra towel. Told us that they have a hair dryer to use then when I went to get it said they don't and acted like I was nuts for asking. Water pressure sucked. Tv had no guide. Fridge was dirty. Outlet was falling out if wall No chair for desk/work area. No creamer out for coffee. There are much better options close by.

The lady at the front desk was very rude and this hotel stole my deposit never refunded back to me and when I called my bank, they said that they took it and never released it

I was told ride to airport was complimentary next morning driver tells me cost of ride to airport is 10$ and whines all the way how he deserves a tip. Room smelled.

This is a franchise, not some top down ownership structure from Westmont Hospitality Group (owner of Red Roof Inn brand). This franchise is owned by Mehul "Mike" Khatiwala, who was sentenced to federal prison in 2021 for 5 years for loan fraud. Basically him and his partners made fraudulent financial statements to obtain loans, defaulted many times, and masked themselves and got loans again after reaching individual limits with Cecil Bank. It's a long writeup but either way this place is a dump because he's in prison and Delaware Hotel Group (his company that's still running) is a deadbeat manager.

The hotel and it's rooms are in extremely bad condition, a certified dump. 2 star hotel is generous. Looks like a trap house. Scuff marks, dirt and smudges everywhere. Garbage and debris under bed. Windows are filthy. Was forced to stay here because a reservation fell through elsewhere visiting for the PGA championship and had nothing else available across the city.

I travel quite a bit, and this was my worst hotel experience ever.was supposed to be there for a three-night stay. Check-in was fine, then it all went downhill. The hallway had a strange smell mixed with bleach, mustiness, and weed.
Once in my room, the sheets are all wrinkled with a fresh dirt stain. The tub had standing water and had clearly not been cleaned. The railing was full of hair.
Here's the worst part. The toilet was not only not flushed, but it was clogged and had urine stains on it. I informed the front, and maintenance brought a plunger. My plan then became to find another location to go. As I'm planning, another "guest" got assigned the room I was in and uses a key to get in the room. Stay away!

I checked with my kids for about 2 weeks they first tells me. They re charging me for any stains in the room I get in the room there’s stains in the pillows and on the covers on top of the mattress being completely yellow I tried to be nice about the stay although it took a hour to get checked in because the desk clerk was outside getting his car fixed and ignoring customer I asked for a clean room my tub is beyond filthy I’ve been getting transferred to guess relations constantly not reasolving my issue

We booked this hotel during graduations in Rochester and the corporate group of hotels price gauged all hotels and everything was sold out. My expectations were not high for red roof near Rochester airport, but we needed a room and booked expecting a clean one. The room we were assigned cost $449. It was filthy with a strong odor throughout the hotel We did not realize at first that our sheets were stained. How hard is it to provide clean sheets, towels and proper pillows? There was mold on the wall in the bathroom, the air vent was disgusting. There were cobwebs in the corner. The bathroom door had an indention from someone punching it, dirt around the door frames and on the walls. We have never been more uncomfortable in a hotel. We didn’t even want to put our bags on the floor. We had nowhere else to go. The manager is non responsive and hasn’t returned calls. This hotel should be investigated by the health department, No room should have been let in that condition. I did not even want to give it one star really disgusting. Avoid.

One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Dirty floors, my Room looked like 100 years old, all over damaged. Never again!

Abomination! I will never go here again. They charge you incidental fee and act illiterate over the phone. They guy can barely speak. Lied and told me he was giving me a receipt sent to my email and has never reimburse me for my security deposit. The motel is dirty and the bathroom floor was water damaged. They just cover the smell up of the room with cheap air freshener. BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE!

Dirty rooms that need repairs. Sheets with stains and dirty pillow cases. Heater has an odor too.

Overall it was great experience and very good customer service they guy saif who is working behind the desk was very helpful. It was wonderful stay

Dump and wondering if they have cameras in rooms. Walked in, canceled, and left. Did not like atmosphere upon arriving at all. 2 TV'S with a bunch of cameras on them. Guy behind the counter was not friendly or inviting.

My experience at this Red Roof Inn location was phenomenal. I rarely travel alone because I have a brain tumor and I get loss easily. I traveled for my small business and needed an affordable place to stay. My medical condition makes me a fall risk. There were no rooms on the first level, however when I shared my medical condition, the Front Desk Staff leaped into action. Because, I have cognitive challenges, I had trouble using my key. He immediately assisted me and never made me feel like I was a burden. In the morning, my car share app was not working and this wonderful staff arranged transportation for me. I am forever grateful for my experience and now I’m a forever customer every time I visit Rochester New York.
