Park Lane Hotel New York

Upon check in Anthony took care of us and made us feel so welcomed. One of the heaters in our suit was not working and Zoe went above and beyond to make it right.
We will definitely return. Great location.

Excellent location, clean and spacious room, somewhat small bathroom. Breakfast service and the staff at the Darling Rooftop, Betty in particular, were amazing.

Updated Review: Just returned from what was now my fourth stay at Park Lane! This hotel has become my go-to place to stay in the city. I just can't say enough about this wonderful property. The newly renovated interior is so beautiful and the rooms are quite large for NYC. The staff is attentive and always so pleasant. The view of Central Park cannot be beat and the location is ideal. Definitely worth the price. I look forward to returning soon!

We stayed for five days last december - the location is really great, you can get around northern manhattan / time square by foot, and as it is right next to central park it is also not too noisy in the rooms.the room amenities are a little sparse but other than that not much to complain, we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice, very spacious double room. Lovely attention on the occasion of my daughter's birthday. Top location 1 minute from the metro. Great welcome in the evening when we arrived. Superb bathroom.
Small downside, lack of kettle and permanent coffee, very cramped refrigerator.

The view only the view. We had two bedroom for 5 nights.
We chose the hotel for the location and the view and we were not disappointed at all, both are really great. Room as nice, and bathroom are really great, got a bit disappointed by the beds too soft for us.
When it comes to service, this is one of the worst experience I had, the rudeness of the front desk is just impressive, I have never see that in any kind of hotel. Not welcoming at all, no question about our trip, you are just a random number and they don't give a s.t.
After check in, one of the room, was already occupied, not an apology, nothing has been done, and I had to complain to get this solved. And we were downgraded to 6th floor because no room was available.
The service was a continuous lack of empathy, lack of details that makes your stay something remarquable. Hopefully one lady at front desk (coming from Cuba) was really nice and change room for us after several complains.
Housekeepers, ladys from breakfast and valet were really nice and providing good service.
So management should react, keep the right people at front desk, and displace people who don't like their job or helping customers.

The best part about this hotel is its location being south of Central Park and close to 5th Avenue, and with that the view of Central Park. That was spectacular

There was a great anticipation leading up to our stay as we got the park view room for our 4 nights stay, and the reservation team was very helpful with changes of our reservation.

However, our first night was a little rocky. We came to a room with a malfunction thermostat, so the room was overheating. Had someone from engineer that came to manipulate the heater, but eventually, was given a portable heater for the night. The next morning, the floor around the heater was soaked with likely leakage from the heater.

Went to speak to the duty manager - Ryan; was very apologetic and was given a different room. We were very appreciative of that

The housekeeping was very flaky, towels were replaced inconsistently in our room. For the price per room, it doesn’t come with toilet amenities except for towels and toiletries, no coffee or tea in room or common area.

The hotel guest lifts were shared with Public guests that were trying to access the rooftop restaurant, which was very inconvenient and less private.

In conclusion, probably one of the cheaper option hotel with CP view, but we are unlikely to return.

We were very well received during our stay from December 28 to January 2.
Very beautiful and very well appointed hotel. Spacious and welcoming room. The country decor is reminiscent of Central Park. We were on the 17th floor and the view of the park was incredible. To see the New Year's fireworks, it was perfect.
The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom very well appointed. Mention the shower head with a rain-style jet.

We stayed with our 2 dogs and they were the stars of the staff. We really appreciated everyone's attention.
Really quality staff

Definitely a place where we will return as much for the hotel as for the proximity to many tourist places.

A little dated on the rooms and infrastructure (Elevator). But the staff, views and location made up for it. I would recommend

My daughter and I stayed here in August and loved it. So here we are, back for Christmas. Definitely, our home away from home (Kailua, HI). Merry Christmas!

I booked our stay here for me and my fiancé four days ago so the choice of hotel to stay at were limited (we are traveling during Christmas time). We decided on the Park lane hotel, because of its beautiful location, and the views from the room, upon checking in we upgraded to a Parkview suite since I wanted a view of the park and not the city. The hotel itself is in a great location in the rooms are very big. Normally I stay at Ritz Carlton’s or Fairmont properties, so I’m accustomed to a high-level of customer service in the Parklane does not disappoint. Although the rooms seem a little bare and could be a little more luxurious, the hotel itself still has great amenities even though the hotel is not a five star hotel, it does still offer some of the same perks and the 5 star hotels offer such as turndown service. Anthony, who works at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and even got me a higher level room for the second and third night that we are staying as I wanted to be as high up as
As possible so I could have a great view of the city and central park. Anthony definitely exemplified true customer service.

Below minimum standards for the cleanliness
Inefficient management and receptionist, who could not act for major concerns related to hygiene.
We had 2 nights with problem in shower, first was blockage in the drainage, and the second thing which is totally not acceptable to have a mold in the walls and shower hose, where all debris coming out to our bodies!
We reported that many times without any action.
On the second day, we reported the issue with debris and mold of the hose, at 9: 00 am, no action was taken, then 4: 00 pm also I went to main reception, and they keep referring me to different persons until I reached duty in charge, who promised to solve it. We went out, and when we came back in the evening, we were surprised that nothing was done, and the hotel management did not even apologized.
We insisted to the on call team to change the shower hose at least,
They’ve sent at 10: 45 pm different teams to assess and fix.
Untill 12: 00 am we could not use the shower on our second night.
The engineer and maintenance team were cooperative and effective, they could have solved the problem earlier during the day if they have been notified by Duty in charge.
The negligence and irresponsible management team ruined our stay.
Literally I was cleaning my self with Clorox wipes the bathroom. I have pictures of molds.
There are no quality check in the level of cleanliness nor supervision.
Other issue, room not equipped with coffee machine nor kettle.
In general, below standard not 5 star hotel, not worth the price.

Can’t beat the location, however, the price doesn’t match the experience. If you’re going to spend that much, stay next door at The Plaza or move to something boutique south of 46th. The rooms are absolutely lovely at Park Lane and a few staff members are outstanding but a few gems can’t carry the holistic experience you would expect for the money. Also the WiFi is useless (less than ~1Mbps sustained if you are lucky). There were a few more things I would expect from a hotel of this price and quality. There was a mini-fridge in the room with nothing in it. It's useless as a personal fridge because the depth was designed for mini-bottles and that's it. (your leftovers will not fit). There are no water bottles provided. (They did claim 2 per day but we never saw them without calling). Ordering water with room service was $10+tax+service. There are no ice machines so you are forced to call down. Delivering ice daily took ~1 hour and multiple calls. They have a long way to go to improve their customer service. The concierge, Lisa, was the only diamond we met. She was outstanding on more than one occasion!

I stayed here twice so far over the years and one of them was during their construction. Best thing about this hotel is the panoramic view of Central Park you can get from the higher floors. I caught a memorable rare moment on 9/11 while in town from my room window that I won’t forget. As I mentioned, location is great and staff is wonderful. Room was spacious, bedding was good. Amenities were decent and they have a nice small gym. I didn’t get to try their hotel bar, rose lane and rooftop signature restaurant and bar “Darling” as I already had reservations planned for my whole stay. Definitely will consider in my future visits and highly recommend if you are looking for a fantastic Central Park view.

Hotels in New York are expensive. I get it. Hotels that offer this view of CP are expensive. I get it.

But there is still a level of quality you'd expect for this. The rooms view was incredible, but the room itself was sub standard. New York is busy and loud.invest in better windows. We were up high and was still kept awake from the noise.

The breakfast at Darling.terrible. Its scandalous they would charge as much as they do. Do yourself a favour, take a walk out the back and go to Sip & Co.

They fall back on the view. Which is great, but this is a hotel where rhe owners need to have a rethink. Or maybe they don't because its still always full.

Great location, bathroom tiny and shower flooded the floor. Bed frame bigger than bed not finished by foot of bed. No mini bar no water no bathroom amenities like q tips, cotton balls, shower cap, nail file, slippers…. Was expecting more.

Had 2 stays there in one week. Both rooms were very badly lit…. Hopeless for applying makeup. Room chairs and bed were all much too low and there was no desk or table you could use for a laptop. A real lack of judgement in this day and age to refurbish rooms and leave out even a small work station. Room decor was quirky and will date fast…space taken up with strange wooden structures that did nothing except waste space. Rooftop bar was up a flight of extremely steep stairs or via a service lift that took you up into the scruffy part of the kitchen. Not very user friendly for anyone with impaired mobility and hardly a 5* entrance. Overall the hotel is very disappointing. Location is the only thing in its favour.

It's pretty perfect as New York hotels go. Location, location, location near some of the best restaurants right across the street from Central Park right near the best shopping. Everything just steps from the door. The room was ordinary size.not small.not large.bathroom was nicely appointed.bed was comfortable.

Lobby bar had great coffee and breakfast options.

The view is spectacular! Hotel is not brand new, so no mega large windows, but still nice room and very friendly service. Great location, right next to subway. Perfect hub for city exploration in any direction. Moring run in Central Park was superb! Fair pricing, so booking is definitely recommendable!

I had a amazing experience at this hotel. From the early check in, welcome letter and gift, to the 24 Hr room service, everything was amazing. The view to CENTRAL PARK… OMG! I’m definitely coming back to this hotel. I have been in 15+ different hotels in NYC, and this is now in my top 2 hotels.
