Paramount Hotel Times Square

I booked this looking for an authentic old school hotel and wasn't disappointed in that sense. The entrance is a pain. Two sets of heavy glass doors that alternate being available at any time meaning it's a bit of a faff getting in and out with other people or suitcases. The lobby is nice, but dark and moody at all times. Booking in was quite slow, only one receptionist. 4 lifts available. Rooms are old school with bare facilities. Would have been nice to have a kettle and there was space. Doors are on the hard auto close so if you have inconsiderate neighbours, as we did, you will be awoken by slamming doors at all hours. Bathroom is very retro with original features. The bath took hours to drain after a shower. We had a king-size bed, which was very comfy, but which meant only one side had a bedside table unfortunately. The air con was on permanently which is great for fresh air but not great when it's -9 outside. The heating came on to counteract it so the room was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Overall we did enjoy our time there, even if for 3 nights. I just feel it needs some TLC. Feels like it needs someone to care about it's retro feel but give it some upgrades. Would stay again though. Location is perfect for Broadway and times square and shopping and Hudson yards, central park etc.

Very comfortable, clean room. Small, but why are you in NYC? To take a nap? Maid service excellent, brought us extra towels and kept everything sparkling. Plenty of hot water for shower, paper supplies renewed each day. QUIET! Asked for back of hotel, heard hardly anything. Tip- bring an extension cord, there is only one outlet on one side of the bed to charge your electronics. Desk staff very friendly and helpful as well. Richard Rogers Theater (HAMILTON, people!) directly across the street! Will definitely stay here again! Tip #2- pizza place 2 doors down cheap & delicious. Tip #3- pedicabs are a fun way to get around & they park in front of the Paramount.

The location of the hotel is excellent, although the room is a little small, it is good to sleep in after a busy day in the city and it is clean.

Avoid at all costs.

Shower took 20 minutes to heat up to lukewarm. Also would not drain. Took a cold shower in ankle deep water. Called front desk to inquire. No answer.

Found blood splatters on the wall. Like? So unacceptable. Unsanitary, terrible service, loud location. Please do not book here

Great hotel! Well located, in addition to the staff being friendly and attentive, I highly recommend it! It is worth it!

Little disappointed that it didn't have a coffee maker or a microwave, so you had to go outside, which in some ways had its pluses. Close to all of our events, and close to time Square. A big negative was wasn't to understandable of our uncontrollable circumstances but lived through it. We had a great event and got the chance to see something's.

They lied to us at the front desk until we paid that room does have king size bed but it had 2 full size. Terrible rooms for what you pay.

Good location, otherwise it can't be considered a 4 star, but the final insult is that they didn't refund my security deposit, for no reason.not recommended

Unfortunately, I feel the need to write an honest review. We entered the hotel about 20 minutes before check in time and were greeted with the overwhelming smell of pot and it was inescapable. We were 15 minutes early for check-in and were told a room was not available at the time and would need to come back at 4. Being in a good location there was plenty to take in. Once we got our room, the temperature was 75 and it was not the room we booked. No one would answer when we called down so we needed to go back down and wait online for a third time. The reception desk was no thrilled to need to switch our room. Going back up the elevator was a disaster as the card reader was not working and it just kept bringing people up and down for about 10 minutes. If you are looking for location this is a great spot. If you are looking for anything more, I would hesitate greatly before booking.

No one helped me with my luggage. The rooms are very small with no views and construction noises

The rooms are disgusting (there appears to be mold in the comforter? And blood/sauce on one of the towels), and no mention of construction starting at 7am.

Unbeatable location of the Hotel!
Normal room and bathroom, very comfortable and spacious beds (double bed), impeccable reception hall with very comfortable armchairs.
The reception staff are very nice and speak several languages.
The façade looks old but it is very modern inside.

Let's see, the room went well, it had hot water, everything worked, the bed was comfortable but very small. It is an option if the only thing you are going to do in the hotel is sleep and just shower because there is no breakfast, no refrigerator or coffee maker or anything in a 3-star hotel. Then you will have to charge everything. If you leave your suitcase they charge you if you receive a package Amazon charges you if you breathe more they charge you.
The location is great to be in the heart of time square I prefer an Airbnb in Williamsburg

They couldn’t find my booking, they put me in a single room, instead of double.no space to open your suitcase in your room.and the plugs next to the bed don’t work.

The hotel is old and needs a major renovation. It's better to pay a little more at nearby hotels that are newer.

The advantage of the hotel is the location and the service of the maids. I stayed for five days and the air conditioning in the room didn't work at all, I requested support and it was not resolved. Furthermore, I needed to extend my stay because of my flight and an employee came to my room to ask me to leave in a very rude manner, even after I had checked in again. Good location, terrible service.

Amazing friendly staff! They were so understanding and let me check out late, without even charging me! It was very helpful!

Hotel above the expected standard, with clean, luxurious rooms and good reception and customer service!

I was a little nervous to book based on some of these reviews but I’m SO glad I did. Check in and out were great, our room was super clean, and the location was perfect. You can even cast your own streaming apps to the TV. They have ice and free water on level 4 and there’s every type of restaurant (including coffee) within a 5 min walk. The overall experience was just awesome. Natalie at the front went above and beyond for us and was super patient. I’ve been to NYC for more weekends than I can count and I’ve stayed all over the place. You just can’t beat The Paramount for the price. There’s nothing worse than paying too much and being disappointed and that’s so easy to do in NYC. We’ll be back for sure.

Very simple hotel, but everything works, you can even mirror your Netflix on the TV in the room, reasonable Wi-Fi. The hotel does not have a restaurant, only a bar. There is no breakfast option. But nearby there are carts with excellent coffee, mixed and croassant, for 6 dollars you can have a nice coffee and if you want a fruit salad, there are Latin people, on every corner selling a cup for 5 dollars.
The hotel is on an incredible street, full of bars, close to the subway and very close to TimeSquare.
We stayed in a room facing 46th and there is work on a gigantic building being built, the construction work started at 7am.
The hotel suffers from not having a free early or late check service. The 2 hours offered for 50 dollars would not suit us. So they stored our suitcase for 2 dollars each.
The hotel has a shuttle service to JFK for 75 dollars. Less than the amount charged by taxi drivers and Uber.
