The food was terrific, although the mussels tasted slightly old. The environment was very cozy, having the Brighton sound to look at through their beautiful glass windows - perfect date night. I was admittedly skeptical about trying their tuna tartare, but it was absolutely amazing!

Very tasty food. Service at a very high level, the waiter was constantly interested in us and checked if something was missing or to bring something more. The food arrived very quickly. An Italian gem in Brooklyn.

I ordered Alfredo pasta, but it is the complete opposite! The pasta was dry, without sauce, just butter was added to the pasta! It wasn't tasty, I couldn't even eat it, I just threw it away!

Horrible food, should not have menu written with italian names when its all Russian employees. Ordered “Linguine alla Vongole” worst meal ever. Clams were over cooked and would never order from here again! Huge disapointment and false advertisement. Have no business making pasta!

Amazing food and phenomenal service. We were a bigger group of 8 guests with no reservation and they accommodated us without hesitation. The food was fresh and delicious, they have a variety of options and large selection of both Italian and Greek dishes. The service was efficient and the server was constantly checking on our table. You must order the Nutella pizza for desert. I highly recommend for you to check this place out if you haven’t already.

We used to like this place, but somehow everything deteriorated. From the snobby female owner who refused to seat us where we’ve requested even though there was plenty of space and others were later seated there, to the waiter who took 20 minutes to bring the menu then gave us attitude for ordering (what seemed to him) was too little, to taking 20 minutes to bring the water and another 20 minutes to charge my card. The entire experience was unpleasant and unwelcome. Now the positives - I cannot deny the quality of food, everything is made from great ingredients and the chef knows what he is doing. Also, the other owner (older Green gentleman) and his son are always pleasant and welcoming. So for that I am giving another star. I guess it’s time to visit the competition.

I live in Manhattan and was in the area and stopped by to try it out…Let me just say that this place is EVERYTHING! The food was incredible, the service was beyond fantastic, the drinks were strong and the manager was walking by tables to make sure everything was perfect (which I LOVE) everyone was so friendly and I can’t even tell you how amazing the food was, you HAVE to go try it for yourself! If I could give 10 starts I would!

I order usually from the Greek menu connected to Yiasu. The grilled octopus and the lamb chops are amazing.

Great place to handing out with the family! Food was amazing! Pizza (flat bread) was the best. And service was great. Recommend to others.

Big field for improvement. Loooooong waiting time for simple seafood pasta, caprese and grilled octopus (somehow it came before caprese which is cold appetizer). We visited Sunday night and the restaurant was half empty so pretty irritated about long waiting time.

Never changed plates. Waiter was pretty friendly tho. Maybe she was new cuz she didn't know the menu pretty well.

This is my second time coming to this location. Wanted to give it another chance but this place loses it points again with there terrible customer service. We understand that we walked in late. But if you did not want to accommodate us then you should have not let us in. It is not okay to make anyone feel rushed ESPECIALLY PAYING CUSTOMERS. Food is amazing but the staff makes it so hard to return with the exception of the hostess. She was the only person to greet us. The waiter rushed our service, didn't even greet us, no clue his name, didn't tell us-was very rude and unprofessional! Did not even serve us water until I told another guy at the end to let him know my party of 7 did not get any water and no bread. Whenever our waiter returned he looked as if we were a bother to him, did not crack a smile once. Both times my family and I went our bill has been over $400. Both times tip was included in the bill when it was very much NOT DESERVED! When I told him at the end how we felt he said sorry kitchen was closing so he had to rush us, okay but your customer service sucks, did not check on us, ask us if we're ok or need anything. Had to ask a different waiter for a drink refill and to serve us all water and another waiter for napkins since we got none when our food was served. Don't let people in cause you want their money and not deliver good service period. Definitely not returning, they are several great restaurants in the area I rather spend my money and time elsewhere.

Terrible place! Keep away from them! The owner is extremely rude, if you complain about anything! Then they give you a bill which is twice higher than it has to be.

The food was okay but the waiter was far too rude after not receiving the tip that he gave himself and printed on the receiptas part of the total amount, which was over the top and not really earned for doing the most basic stuff. And a regular lemonade, of medium to small proportions was more expensive than expected.

Went there for the first time today and I've never written a review for any place but the food, atmosphere and service warrant one.

First off the food is amazing, if you have the chance definitely order the spicy feta dip with pita bread it was the best thing I've ever put into my mouth.

Second the atmosphere. I went in the evening; experienced dimly lit lights and a great mix of music, seriously every song was enjoyable and the décor is astonishing.

And lastly the service. The waiter was attentive, and extremely quick with the food. Even noticed the manager made rounds to all the tables and made sure everyone was having a good time.

10/10 experience I cant believe ive lived in this area my whole life and never came here before. That spicy feta dip was life changing!

Living in the area for the past 5 years, I have chosen my go to. This is it. Huge fan of the truffle pizza, octopus, and my all time is scallops. Can never go wrong with there homemade desserts. The cheese cake is. Happy to feel at home.

I was there first time for lunch only one person was working and our food was come in 45 min she was nice but not enough for two restaurants never again food was just ok

Slow service had to ask for water a repeatedly and wait at least 20 minutes until it was refilled. The entrees ordered were all over salted. Partner ordered a ribeye medium rare and received it black and blue. Sent back to the kitchen to get temperature corrected and received it back rare, did not want to send back for the second time so my partner had really hard time eating the steak. Ended up with disappointing meal and left the restaurant hungry.

I would like to share my visit to the Next Door restaurant in Brooklyn. First of all, the atmosphere is very warm, the service personnel is polite and well informed. And the food is really amazing. Having worked in Manhattan for many years and visited the finest restaurants, I can certainly say that the Next Door restaurant can easily compete with the luxury restaurants in Manhattan. Actually this restaurant is #1 in Brooklyn. Food is fresh and everything is delicious. And how yummy is pizza with truffles! All we ordered was delightful. I highly recommend this restaurant for people who enjoy eating well and know much about quality food.

The food was exceptional I recommend ordering the lamb shank or the tuna tartare staff was very friendly and accommodating will be back soon

Nice atmosphere, clean and food was good but who serves chicken parmigiana with a side of mashed potatoes? ! Service was Ok could have been a little more attentive since it was us and two other people in the whole place.

Yikes! Walked in here yesterday night because we really wanted Nutella pizza. Making no eye contact, the smug waiter said he refused to prepare the dessert for us unless we ordered food. We awkwardly put our coats back on and walked out.
I don’t have words to describe this.
Kind of shameful.

Just had lunch there and it was the worst food and service ever. The food was just tasteless and you can get better in a deli. The service was terrible, our server hasn’t asked once how we were doing or if we needed anything else.
Very bad experience

The food is good and the service is really good. The outside seating have enough space. The octopus was crispy and soft which is a plus for me. Overall I had a great time here. Nite that the drink are very good here as well.

Very cozy place. Amazing waiters, they keep an eye on you without disturbing and always ready to help or give an advice. Great atmosphere, especially at night (they put candles) Fair prices, food worth it

Wannabe Italian restaurant run by Russians nice people nice place but the food was ok definitely not a Italian restaurant and the brick oven pizza was ok the desert was ok and the service was horrible had to ask multiple times for bread cheese tried it out but won’t ever go back there again

First time and I loved it! Great service, great atmosphere, great food, and very good drinks! Good for couples or family dates!

Excellent location for a party. Food is unbelievable! You have to have the truffle pizza. The beat and goat cheese salad was superb. The grilled octopus was like the one my mom made. Apps were so amazing I could hardly eat my dinner!

Quality and sizes of plates for this price are really bad, they even can bit city prices easily, wait staff not sure about dishes, during refills nobody paid attention to my wifes glass, so I did it by myself.
Overall. If you have full pocket of money and no place to go visit this place, otherwise avoid.
By the way, owner has Greek restaurant next to this one with the same story.
