Millennium Hilton New York Downtown / The Millenium Hotel

Ever since seeing this hotel from the outside. Ive always wondered what it would be like to stay here. It was definitely disappointing. The only thing good about this place is the location. Do not stay here if you’re planning to experience a clean, nice updated room. The pictures they have posted online of their rooms are very deceiving: (. They need to update their rooms. Also, any floors below 30 are all the old and very motel like rooms. Definitely will not stay here again.

Great location, gorgeous view of the Oculus from most rooms. The rooms themselves are run-down (peeling wallpaper) and the building is not updated by NYC standards for heating / cooling. This means that you can’t control your own temperature. It was almost 50 degrees during my trip and I couldn’t put any AC on at night - instead my room was at a constant 77 because the hallway heat was blasting. Don’t know about you, but I can’t sleep well in a hot room. I called THREE times over a 30 min span before someone came up and explained that to me- the first two people were clueless and expected me to have AC (mind you, this was at midnight while I was trying to sleep). The WiFi also didn’t work in the room. It said it was ON, but didn’t send any of the time sensitive emails that I needed to send or fully load my inbox, so it must be the slowest WiFi of all time. Finally, they gave me two conditioners and no shampoo- I washed my hair with body wash. That doesn’t sound critical, but when you’re going to business meetings after not sleeping in a hot room, the little things matter. What’s worse than all of these annoyances is that the guest staff is rude and unhelpful, with zero clue what’s happening. I am not impressed with this place at all.

Perfectly located in direct proximity to the attractions “The Oculus New York”, “National September 11 Memorial and Museum” or “One World Trade Center”. The view we could enjoy from our room was excellent. We looked directly down on the shopping center/metro station “The Oculus New York” from above and had a great view of the architecture. The “One World Trade Center” rose in direct view and was impressive both day and night. Thanks to its great location, the hotel has excellent connections to the metro system. There are also many bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity where you can stop off.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself exudes the charm of the nineties and has remained in that era in terms of furnishings. It was clean but the far too small reception, uninviting lobby and far too few elevators detract from the overall picture. The room facilities were okay, the size of the beds was very pleasant and comfortable. Unfortunately, some of the furniture was already quite worn out; in our opinion, this should be replaced, including the carpet. The bathroom had enough space, but the bathtub with shower function was not that great, although the cleanliness was good. Unfortunately, we once had the problem that our toilet was blocked and the bathroom flooded after the flush. This was quickly remedied, but was still very unpleasant. We found the staff at reception to be unfriendly (arrival, description of the problem - see previous description, departure).
For sleeping and in combination with the view it's still okay and the price is definitely reasonable.

This place needs an update. Stains everywhere on the floor the bed the walls the ceiling. The ceiling in the bathroom had small amounts of mold. Only 1 of 4 elevators worked. There are no vending machines. No room service except a $35 dollar a plate breakfast in the morning. They do have an ice machine. Room has no fridge and no microwave. It does have a coffee maker with coffee. You can get doordash but they are not allowed to bring food up so you have to go down. In our case we had to rush down 31 flights of stairs to get our breakfast because no elevators were working at this point. After all the problems it's still not a terrible place just because of the location. Honestly I felt like I got ripped off and wanted to ask for a refund.

Mixed Bag here. The Location is no doubt prime, accross the street from the WTC, amazing views all the time, super well connected to many subway lines and the PATH. Lots of business and food in a walkable distance.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, the rooms need an update, you can see a some wear and tear on furniture and fixings. Even the Toilet was super noisy.

The worst? Scams. They dont let you check in until 4pm unless you pay $150. If we wanted to get to a higher floor, they asked for $75. Crazy.

But what really spilled the beans was that they asked for a credit card (twice) for incidentals only, which we did not have at all, and charged $130 to our card with no authorization, agreement or signature claimin a resort fee, something we were never asked about, informed about and did not agreee upon when we handed our credit card voluntarily. Plus, our reservation was paid in full 100% upon arrival.

The front desk managers and staff didnt care about anything and were pretty rude. Its too bad they had to ruin the great time we had had at their hotel. If you ask me, avoid it.

Literally stayed in hostels nicer than this. Immediately got plugged into a room with a notable odor of smoke. Decor is that of the 80s. Tiles in our bathroom were all cracked. Called the front desk for assistance and no one answered. Had to go all the way 54 floors down to talk to them.

For the price this can absolutely be beat. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Concierge awful! Wouldn’t lift a finger to help unless they felt a tip would be paid! Stood chatting and let guests struggle.
The lady who cleaned our room (2505) definitely the most lovely person we found working there! Please give her a better job!

My favorite hotel till, great views! But, 2 of 3 phones in my suite didn't work, couldn't get wifi my entire 1st night and staff weren't unaware. Great concierge and bell staff, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

This was perhaps the worst experience my family has had at a Hilton property. The room had no heat and the unit was pumping out cold air. We froze throughout our entire stay and as a result I woke with a sore throat and sore shoulder. I am a Hilton Honors Gold member and my wife is a Diamond member, but there was no acknowledgement of that status. They made two failed attempts to fix the heat and then told us that the whole building was having a problem. But other gusts we spoke to said their room was fine and the lobby was perfectly warm. They would not give us another room and made no attempt to help us at all.let me also mention that there were no amenities, no food, no breakfast, no pool access and I even cleaned the dry feces from the toilet myself. It really seemed like they were cutting costs and sacrificing quality. And you have to wonder what does that Diamond membership actually do for me?

I thought I was getting an upgraded room. As the scenery was nice, the room was far from the quality I normally experience at other Hilton Hotels. The chair was disgustingly dirty and stained. The carpet was also stained. The mini fridge didn’t work. The walls are filthy. Two lights didn’t work. The coffee pot was unusable. The front desk was useless. Asked for assistance getting a car, said it couldn’t be done. Asked about the restaurant and was met with an attitude. Asked for new towels, huffed and said they would send it up. Staff couldn’t care less about the guests. And to top it all off, no bar or restaurant. Not even a coffee bar near the lobby. I would never stay here again.

It was a nice stay. My family wanted to do stuff at the world trade center and it was perfect for them to be really close to what they wanted to do. My partner also really enjoyed being so high up since we were on the 35th floor.

I flew in for 2 quick nights due to a family emergency. The staff here are extremely friendly. The hotel itself is a little outdated however my room was very clean. Just know that there is currently no bar or restaurant open without the hotel. If you are here on vacation, the location is supberb.

The lobby was very beautiful but the room wasn't what I expected I was rather disappointed but the staff was nice and friendly the good thing about it we was crossed from 911 which is a beautiful view from the room and my nephew got to meet a rapper named Lil Uzi overall I enjoyed New York

This hotel was awesome! Perfect location for sights of the city! Directly across from the 911 museum and memorial and walking distance to Battery Park. Loved the views! Amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful!

The only thing so enjoyed about the stay was the view. I paid for an upgraded room. The tv wasn’t clear, I shower made my feet itch. It looks like the room was forgotten about. The fridge was unplugged and had old food in it. I told the front desk and never got a replacement for my three day stay. I called the front desk and let them know I ran out of toilet paper they took forever so so went out and purchased my own. When I got back to my room I found that they placed a roll of toilet paper in front of the door. They didn’t have he decency to put in the room and one Really! I won’t be staying here next time.

Rooms have fantastic views on NY, but could use some refurbishments. Nothing too bad, but I'd expect a higher standard

Pricey but the hotel is at the heart of EVERYTHING! Walkable distance to museums, WTC is opposite. Importantly it is clean.

We spent 2 nights here. The location is amazing, just across the WTC museum and memorial, the new WTC, walking distance to Brooklyn Bridge and local attractions. Subway is literally in front of the entrance. The hotel itself could do with some TLC but is OK and we had a good time. At the time of writing this (November 2021) the restaurant and pool, gym were closed. Would stay again.

Definitely recommend getting the junior suite great views of WTC and the Hudson/NJ for the price.

Don’t come to this hotel. Beds are uncomfortable, make lots of noise, water started to come out from drain, unprofessional employees yelling at patrons staying at rooms. Called the bell desk and it took over 10 minutes to get someone to talk to. Asked if we could leave a few bags at bell desk early in the morning around 8, show up only to find out that the hotel doesn’t offer any services until after 9 am. DONT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHE HOTELS THAT ARE BETTER IN NEW YORK

It is a nice hotel, great location and if you book a junior suit you have a view of the WTC. However, it is unbelievable that they do not have USB OUTLETS OR MORE OUTLETS to charge your devices. Like really? They just have an old dusty extension outlet with no USB ports. The building is kind of old but it has good maintenance.

The hotel location is superb, the room was nice, and the fitness center was excellent, but those things do not make up for the lack of concern the front desk staff have for their customers. Nor does it make up for the false advertising of valet parking, restaurant and bar, that don't exsist, which as a Diamond Member they said they'd offer a food credit for, but never followed through. Overall our military family thoroughly enjoyed the visit to NYC, but it could have been alot better if the hotel payed more attention to their customers.

Good, clean hotel with good location if your business is in the business district. Note that it's a 20 minute ride from Times square area. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the poor excuse of keeping the spa/pool area closed. I think it's about time to stop using the pandemic as an excuse. Overall great experience!

Good location. Old interior. Good view from the 33rd floor. Nice that they check the hotel card later at night.

Just awful. Was sneezing all night. Dropped phone behind the bedside table and found the cause of the problem. You would think Hilton's Covid protocols would be better than this.

I had a awfully marvellous expertise at this hotel! The manager area was awesome! Terribly clean and had an excellent read of the town. I enjoyed the placement too! A walking distance to a mall and much of nice restaurants near. All of the workers area unit courteous and friendly.i might return and can advocate to friends and family.

"non-operational mini fridge" and yet there was still other people's rotting food/trash in it.
Had it removed but the smell still lingered as there was no air freshening spray.

Beautiful hotel, amazing views in a central location. There is a subway station right on the next block and shopping across the street. The room was big for being in Manhattan, we were lucky and had a room with a view. The staff were kind and friendly. I would stay again!

Location was phenomenal. Loved the limited number of rooms per floor. Did not love the water damage by the window, missing handle on mini-fridge and that the fridge did not work.

No access to pool, restaurants are closed.

Fantastic location to 9/11 sites, subway stations, etc. Hotel staff were very professional and responsive to questions. I would highly recommend this hotel

I had a 14 night reservation but immediately checked out after seeing the condition of the room. Stains in the carpet, old furniture missing handles, lumpy bed. I gave front desk a chance to make it better but all I was offered was an upgrade to Junior Suite for $50 extra a night.
