Central location, amazing service, and well maintained classic hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in New York.

Almost gave a 1 star. Rooms are so dated. The bellman at night are so rude. The ones during the day are fantastic. Very disappointed with the interior of the rooms even though I stayed in a suite here. I would def recomment going to the st.regis instead. Service is better and rooms are prettier.

This review is for June 2022.
In Towers for three nights last week showing friends around town. Had stayed here previously and always enjoyed my stay.
Plane into LGA was changed to 6am departure from Boston so we arrived @ hotel around 8am. Registration desk was very gracious with allowing us early check-in. Two rooms facing west overlooking St Patrick's Cathedral as requested.
Rooms great save for the fact that housekeeping could have used more effort in cleaning - marble surfaces bedroom furniture were streaked, as well as glass top on desk.
Tower rooms could use a refresh as they are showing their age with scratches and dings. Large rooms with great views but I would not rate the Towers as five star. Still a nice stay @ convent location.
That stay I would give them 4 STARS overall! 5 STARS for location 5 STARS for initial service, and 3 STARS for room (which had great view from 52 floor, but room was not well cleaned & in need of a complete refresh)

UPDATED REVIEW second stay Dec. 2023
NOT a five star hotel experience!
Location is the only thing going 4 this hotel! This stay was a disaster on multiple levels!
Tower room is dirty and old! Room condition has deteriorated significantly from last stay! It’s the towers and it’s very shabby! Lotte needs to step up their game and gut this dragon from top to bottom!

AND install security in elevators, but especially in Tower elevators! …that feature is pretty much a given in a “luxury five star hotel”!
As a guest over many decades I won’t return!

Beautiful hotel, both inside and outside. Perfect location, just steps away from most major attractions in NYC.

We stayed here for NYE and the manager on duty that night named Eric Saldivar was very rude and unapproachable. After having dinner we went back to the hotel and saw that there was a line on the elevator so we sat in the lobby and waited for about 30 mins.as we approached the elevator the manager suddenly rudely asked us is we were staying there and asked for our key card which he did not do with the other people who came in before us and yelled in front of the other guest that “it’s security purposes” i couldn’t fathom
His reason for picking us to randomly check or maybe because we were asian. It didn’t end here my friend came back downstairs after few minutes and he was still there he started yelling again in front of other guest saying “are you looking for me? ! Do you want my name? ! ” “Do you wanna take a picture? ! ” Which was very uncalled for. He humiliated the whole family and basically ruined everyone’s new year’s eve. I went back downstairs to complain and found him there instead of apologizing for his poor action he started getting upset and was fresh while me and my aunt approached him why he have acted that way.

How do i reach out to you?

We had an excellent stay at the Lotte hotel in December. We had tickets to see the Rockettes the next morning, and this location was absolutely perfect. We even ran in to Shaq and Mario Lopez in the lobby! They are decorated extensively for Christmas with trees everywhere, gingerbread houses, and more. The side entrance is a nice spot to sit outside and have coffee in the morning, with a nice view of the back of St Patrick’s Cathedral. The rooms were great with amazing views of NYC. It’s expensive but the location was perfect.

Place visited only from the outside because it is important in the gossip girl TV series.
But it's always nice to see live what we usually only see on television.

How to describe a place where everything seems perfect, beautiful, tasteful and extremely elegant? It can't, can it? Congratulations to this well-managed house.

My family and Stayed @ Lotte in the towers from 12/18-12/20.
This is a 3 star Hotel with a 5 star location with O star Customer service! We have stayed in various Hotels throughout NYC during the Christmas season for the last 18 years. We arrived around 3pm and waited at the checkin desk for over 30 mins and were told room would not be ready for at least another hour. We dropped our bags then attempted to find a restroom in the lobby First 2 we went to were not open and the 3rd ones we found on the 4th floor were filthy. Finally around 6: 30 I received a call from Anna Marie stating the room was finally ready ands she would credit me 300 dollars for the inconvenience, This was never done. Tuesday morning called to get a reservation for Breakfast was supposed to be included in our stay because we booked with Amex and was told not taking any more reservations or walk ins for the day because they were so busy. Tuesday night starting around 11: 30 we called the front desk because their were people parting in the hallway. After 3 calls nothing was ever done this went on till after 2am. Wednesday 4: 30 am wake up to Head to JFK requested my car from Valet. Came down and no car asked the door man and he laughed stating they do not get in till 6am and I need to read the signs. We could not wait until 6am since we would have missed our fight to London. Now we were forced to Uber to JFK and leave our car for 10 day's @ $115 per day. The Uber to JFK was $160 there and $270 and 2-1/2 hours back into the city to Pick up my car after and 8 hour flight back from Paris. When I talked to manger on duty he offered me no help. Do your self a favor avoid this place there are much better hotels in NYC were you can get a good nights sleep, your car, the credit you were told you were going to get and Breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel for 30 years. It has always stood out for me for many reasons. Was disappointed in my stay this time. Hotel is making changes that left my room feeling sparse and impersonal rather than the warm, luxe feel it always had.
- soft warm lights were removed in favor of harsh white fluorescent ones
- bed linen was somewhat wrinkled, untucked and unkempt looking
- 4 plastic bottles of Poland Springs were sitting on a night stand. While convenient, it looks tacky and Motel 6 ish
- I used to enjoy sitting at the broad desk by the window.with a cup of coffee or even breakfast. Those are also gone. The desk is against the wall and there was only one dinky straight chair in a room for two people making the room look even more sparse. There is certainly nowhere to enjoy a room service breakfast anymore. Why bother?
- the room service card to leave on the door to order breakfast was replaced with a metal sign and a QR code requiring you to call and wait for breakfast
- if you’re sensitive to light when you sleep, this is not the place for you. Blackout shades have been replaced with sheer ones that filter about half the street light.

This is supposed to be a n iconic uxe hotel. Now the rooms resemble a generic big box Marriott. $ better spent to update bathrooms. Whose terrible idea was this?

We stayed for 2 nights: 10/27 and 10/28/23 - the occasion was my wedding at the Rainbow Room in NYC. Our stay was enhanced tremendously by Miles Gomez, who is the front desk manager. He could not have been more accommodating, helpful and was the true definition of HOSPITALITY. He catered to our every whim and ensured that we were treated like royalty in EVERY way. WHAT A PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE. THANK YOU MILES and the Lotte for hiring such a hospitality pro.

This review is just based on their Christmas decorations, which were the best on any hotel.

This hotel has a great location and pretty lobby, that's about it.

The room is tired but quite large for Manhattan standard, no refrigerator in the room that we stayed in, and I'm not sure if it's the standard, and there's no complimentary mineral water in the room upon check in either.

Lack of smile in services, and bellman was also no smile and waiting for tips like gangster, the only place where the frontliners smiled when they greeted you was the spa.not sure why everybody there expect a tips when the service they gave was subpar. I thought USA is the epitomy and standard for service industry / hospitality.with this kind of high class hotel, the service is not even better than 4 star hotel in europe and asia (japan, Singapore, bali, etc), heck those places aren't even force you to tips, but I sure happy to tip them, but not here

I suggest anybody to try staying in other high class hotel in new york if you want to have a good service and good room to stay

Stayed here late June early July. What a hotel. Great service, stayed in the towers and had a blast. If you like to drink, there's 3 outstanding bars in the hotel. The food was incredible too. No complaints, this place is special. It's a step or two above a four seasons or ritz Carlton. Also, the spa is incredible. The couples massages were just amazing. My wife and I will always remember our weekend at lotte New York palace.

It's not quite five starts it doesnt offer room. Amenities coffee, etc, the coffee store is way too expensive like Japan. Overall, the tour was great of the hotel. The rooms are ultra clean. They know how to clean. I dont like there are no chairs for the guests. It's occupied by outside tourists walking in and out.that's just not right. Most guests want privacy. A chair to find. This is a issue.

Wonderful hotel, sophisticated atmosphere, but the price is quite steep. Spacious rooms and clean bathrooms.

Very nice Christmas tree and small park on the side. Even if you weren't a guest, the concierge didn't send you away. On the contrary, we were offered to take a picture of ourselves in front of the Christmas tree. Very friendly and polite. Thank you
