LIC Hotel

The room is nice, the service staff are very friendly, and it's very close to the subway station
But starting from the second day, the noise of the air conditioner and heater was very loud, and sometimes I had to turn it off and on again to improve it.

Better than an Air B&B! Wonderful staff, clean rooms, and a great location. Walking distance to the Court Square Restaurant, which has great food.

This will be my "go to" spot on my weekend visits back home. I'm from. L. I.but will be checking in at the "LIC"

Perfect location to reach Manhattan in 15 min. Roof top terrace with view over Manhattan. Rooms are ok, sound isolation could be better, bfast buffet ok and opened early in the morning

We arrived without a reservation and they found us a room. The staff were patient and kind and helped us even though we didn't understand the language well. The room was large enough, complete with mini fridge and air conditioning, as was the bathroom, all clean and with a large shower. Cleaning and linen changing, which we did not choose not to use, were carried out regularly every day, from what I could see from the other rooms. Unlimited sweet and savory buffet breakfast. The price, although we paid more due to the last minute thing, is reasonable for New York, much cheaper than a squalid stay in the center of Manhattan. With a well-advanced booking you can also save 20% (seen a few months ago). Practically less than 200 meters from the subway line that takes you to 5th Avenue, Times Square and JFK from the other direction. Advised!

The room was very spacious (especially compared to others we had on the trip). There was plenty of room to keep our bags, spread out a bit and still move around without falling over! The rooms do need a little love and attention though, the sink tap barely ran water (basically a trickle) and the power point next to the bed was quite dangerous (loose and coming out of the wall). The shower pressure was good though - that’s always important for us! They have breakfast included (starting from 6: 30am) but for me the options were very limited (I’m coeliac and need completely gluten free). I found it ironic that there was a poster in the dining area that called out the listen allergens and how important it is to manage them but then don’t really take steps to manage/understand them. It was a real missed opportunity as the bagels were all individually packaged anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt to have a small gluten free range available (even in request so you need to ask for it). On that basis (and that the team couldn’t give me confidence that cross-contamination would be managed for other items) I was limited to boiled eggs, yoghurt and an apple. Still provided a decent breakfast to start the day (especially as it was included) but could be even better! You can access tea, coffee, water and bagels at anytime during your stay (but the water dispenser was broken while we were there)! Also, while the wi-fi worked, it was very slow most of the time! Really convenient location, several subway stations nearby so really easy to travel to different parts of NYC that you want to see

Awesome hotel experience. Breakfast was great, shower is high pressure and gets really hot quick. Staff are all friendly and pleasant. Would definitely stay again.

Bad place to stay. Front desk are not welcoming. Manger knocked my door in Sunday morning to tell me I have to pay for the parking. I asked for late check out one of the front desk ladies told me you can check out 12: 30, other lady told me the next day if I stayed after 11: 30 they charge me for a new day. Finally I met the front desk lady smoking weed in the parking lot during her shift.

What else can you expect from a Long Island City hotel? The price to value is awesome. At a distance of a single subway station from Manhattan you get a decent sized room with a great shower, clean, and even a breakfast is included.
The receptionist was kind, we were able to save our luggage in the luggage room for free until our room was ready.
The subway station is literally 2 minutes walking (E line brings you to Wall Street and is frequently coming).
The area at night is not crowded, but still it feels pretty safe.
Some rooms can be less quiet and you can somehow hear the subway (I heard it from a friend who stayed with me in a room on the other side of the hotel). For me, it was quiet enough.

Great location, good price, $20 parking secured parking per night, awesome breakfast for the price.
Cons: really hard mattresses and pillows bring your own. Also one shower had was not working room 309.

5 to 10 min walk to various subway stations. Clean rooms and friendly staff. 20 min subway ride to most tourist destinations within new york. Would recommend it as a budget friendly stay.

Nice and neat rooms. Room service daily. Good breakfast every morning. Accommodating staff. Easy walk to the subway station and easy commute to anywhere you want to go. Overall, a great experience!

A prime location (2-minute walk to the court sq station and 10 minutes to 21st queensbridge station) with lots of different food options! The staff were friendly and helpful when we needed to check-in early and continued to give fantastic service throughout our stay. Would recommend again! But our room was a bit tight with a queen bed and no closet (it was more like an open-concept closet), so be aware when booking for large groups

Overpriced for the facilities and room.
Old style rooms with old appliances, breakfast is just okay. Over all an okay hotel but for the cost. A little more can get you a room in Manhattan.
The subway is very close

Good value for the price.
Location is convenient with excellent metro connections.
Excellent breakfast with nice people preparing for you.
Avoid rooms on the busy 21st street, especially rooms with numbers ending in x06, x07, x 08.
Sending an email to the reception and management will not suffice since they do not open emails and send automatic responses.

Good:
- Perfect location to visit Manhattan, 4 minutes walk to the subway and 15 minutes total to midtown.
- Clean, well-maintained room and premises
- Our king bed unit was of decent size
- Great view of the Manhattan skyline from the rooftop
- A unit fridge was a useful feature
- Relatively short walk to the outstanding Gantry Plaza State Park with some amazing views

Not good:
- Slow, barely usable wi-fi
- The mattress was not great, I could feel each spring, and it sometimes felt really uncomfortable
- Good tasty breakfast but not much variety: no fresh veggies or cold cuts/cheese

Overall a great value hotel to visit Manhattan, would definitely recommend it.

After multiple hours of hotel shopping, I came across this little gem. Reasonable prices, efficient room size. The room was small but arranged in a non-tight way. Felt like we had plenty of room. Nice little touches like folding the toilet paper, and packaging of items. The breakfast was hot, reasonable tasting, decent. We live in a very quiet Street in a small town, we did get a street side room. Little hard to sleep if you're not used to Street sounds, would get an interior room next time. Parking was very reasonable $20 however they told me it was for a 24-hour period, the next morning they told me it was only until 3: 00 p.m. Spoke to the manager and he allowed me to stay until 7: 00 without an extra fee. About two blocks from the subway. All the staff was very nice and professional. I would definitely stay there again. Forgot my water bottle in the room after we checked out, manager was going to send it back to us at no charge

The manager was extremely rude and corrupt. Never dealt with a manager that is unprofessional to his level. They said they will issue me a refund, which was a lie, which got the bank involved for a fraudulent activity.

Was this really worth it for a couple hundred dollars? I am no way using LIC Hotel again, but I hope you treat your customers with respect because they deserve it.

Solid no frills hotel with breakfast included. 24/7 water, coffee, and vending. Right be the subway and parking on site is huge. I was in an upgraded (through booking) king room so I'm not sure what the other rooms are like. I'd go back

I called the hotel to try to find out about the parking in the area and a young lady answered the phone by the name of Satima and you could tell she didn't want to answer any of my questions and she just hung up on me. When i called back to ask her why she hung up she continued to act like she didn't hear me and hung up on me 3 more times. I called from a different number and then when I got her attention I told her she was very rude for hanging up on me. I asked for a supervisor and she told me there was none at around 3: 30 am. Who is charge of this place? Hopefully not this girl named Satima. Anyway I'm not off to a great start with this place, I just hope my stay there is much better than this phone encounter. So I'll give this 1 star for phone etiquette by hotel employee.

The hotel manager and staff was very unprofessional and vile, to think I was threatened by the hotel bellman for requesting 2 rolls of toilet paper. The manager went as far to say "This aint no pharmacy". I payed close to $700 for 4 days. Yet was attacked for requesting toilet paper. Expedia helped me to be moved to another hotel because I truly felt this was now a toxic environment for me and my Fiancée. With hotel staff talking aggressive and rude, directly disrespecting myself and fiancée.

My wife and I stayed through last week for our trip to tour NYC. The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating: from a very late check-in, questions about the city, any concerns with our room, they were all answered quickly and very professionally.

The best hotel staff we've ever encountered. Always friendly and helpful, going above and beyond every day. They made us feel at home for our two extended stays this summer. Our room was comfortable, the fridge was handy, and we made good use of the rooftop deck, breakfast, and laundry machines. The location is quite convenient, not only close to several subway lines but also near the two ferry docks of Long Island City and Hunter's Point South, which we used a lot to get to Manhattan and Brooklyn. We also enjoyed the LIC neighborhood itself, including the extensive waterfront park, microbrewery taprooms, coffee places, restaurants, and outdoor music at Culture Lab. Thanks again to the entire staff. We already miss you all and look forward to being there again!

We had a bad experience with our reservation with Expedia, and had a rough night. But the day staff in the hotel solved it the next morning. The staff is very helpful and serviceable, the location is great for tourism. I recommend that you do directly the reservation in the hotel page.

Stayed over the weekend. Staff was very nice, the hotel was absolutely spotless. Just perfect for an overnight stay. Beds were super comfy, too. On site parking is a big plus, and they have really great coffee in the morning. Will definitely return.

LIC Hotel is a great place to stay. Very, VERY clean and well kept hotel. When we got off the elevator it smelled like the carpet had just been steam cleaned. Our room was spotless, the housekeeping staff was friendly and did a great job. The front desk staff was very helpful when we ran into a situation where we needed an extra room for a night. There is a decent size market a block away and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. No fancy restaurants but some good takeout places. It was kinda of a bummer that valet parking was $20.00 a day and there are only a dozen spaces but it’s NYC so you’re going to pay for parking no matter where you go.

We really enjoyed our stay at LIC and this will be our spot whenever we visit NYC. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic value for money. Our room was really spacious, clean, and quiet and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast is included and is really delicious, it’s a great location being one stop from Manhattan, and the beautiful skyline view is a bonus. All of the staff was extremely helpful and kind. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My friend and I stayed here for Pride 2021 and had a very pleasant stay. Every single staff member we came across was respectful, helpful, and overall completely pleasant. Our room looked exactly like the picture and was clean and comfortable. There were no hidden fees and check-in took 5 min.max! I also felt safe knowing they lock their door and only guests can enter after a certain time. I am very particular on where I stay whenever I travel and put a lot of effort into choosing hotels and to have been able to find this hotel for such an affordable price was incredible.

This hotel did not live up to my expectations. The room was very clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, but the furniture was cheap and the room air conditioner was very noisy. There is also no iron / ironing board in the room. If this hotel were listed as a two-star hotel and was $20 cheaper, it would be a good value. As it is, it seems overpriced for what you actually get. It reminded me more of a Days Inn than a Hampton Inn.

Also keep in mind that while it is still a short five minute walk to the Subway (a little closer to Court Square than Queensboro Plaza), the immediate area is a little rougher than the hotels adjacent to the subway stations. However, I still felt safe walking around even at night.

Great hotel. Clean establishment, comfortable beds, friendly staff, free parking nearby, free yummy breakfast, reasonable prices. Couldn't ask for more!

Just returned from 2 days at the LIC Hotel - this place is a GREAT value. Staff is great and special shout out to Maurice who makes your day with a great reception as you check in. The hotel is clean and amazingly roomy to be in NYC and not costing $400 a night. Bed comfortable. I was very pleasantly surprised. We got a parking space in the lot and were able to look out from our hotel room and see our car! Subway nearby to take you anywhere. A Trader Joes is popping up about 2 blocks away. Very very convenient. I WILL return.

Very happy with the hotel. It was very clean which made me stay very comfortable. It is a standard size room, has the essentials. 4 mins from the E line which was awesome! Staff were friendly and did I mention very clean?

I could not change the number of guests without canceling and reserving again, paying twice effectively. I understand a fee for this, but we just weren't able to. The representative was incredibly rude and had an attitude toward me. I canceled my reservation anyway because it's not worth spending a vacation there with a staff that unhelpful and policies that don't make sense. I would highly recommend for you to spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Hotel is good and operates according neighbourhood safety. It's good to see that hotel closes door at midnight or 11 pm. But check in had to be at or before 11 pm. I was able to make it before the time but what if someone lands in NYC around 11pm.
Complimentary breakfast. It's not just toast and butter. Rooftop is open throughout the night. Clean room and service everyday.

If I could give this is zero stars I would. The manager Maurice is unprofessional, and he found some sick satisfaction in wielding the small amount of power given to him by whomever owns this establishment. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out there was nothing but undeserved pretension and condescension from this man. Different desk woman was very nice, but tragically I am formed hotel. Their inability to be even somewhat flexible does not along with the fact that they were basically empty were there. He claims that they were busy multiple times yet everyone just stands around all day and all night. Please steer clear from this hotel can. I have stayed upwards of 80 hotels in Manhattan and Sharon Burroughs. Surrounding Burroughs, but never have I been treated with such condescension and distain from the hotel manager. Clearly his hospitality management training did absolutely nothing for him. Hotel should be a shame that he is the manager. Clearly their research on craigslist did nothing to find the right person. Stay there and see for yourself. The new Astoria Delancey is far better and if nothing else more, At least they are friendly.

Super loud construction that started at 7: 30 each day and lasted until 5pm. Completely unable to sleep or work in this type of environment

Clean Rooms, quite Place when you will stay in New York. Phenomenal breakfast. Only two minutes footwalk to subway.
