Had dinner Friday night with 3 other couples. Great service Meal was outstanding! Hidden Gem. Best Value in Westchester

Shrimp scampi is delicious. I come here for that specific dish. Service is great, all of the staff are kind. Atmosphere is a quaint dated with a woodsy feel. It's family type atmosphere, which my family and I don't mind at all. Suttle italian music plays in the background. It is a cash only place, so keep that in mind. They do have an ATM conveniently located inside the premises, so no need to run out to find one. It's our cozy place to go to.

When the owner can greet you by name on your 2nd visit in 4 years, it's really something special. The chicken scarpiello is by far the best I've ever had and the pizza is one of the best I've had. Great crust along with the right amount sauce and cheese. Pizza is an 8.5

Food is not as good as it used to be. They used to be open 363 days a year. Now, they close down for 3 or 4 days whenever a staff member gets the sniffles, to "protect the patrons". Owner has done well and deservedly so, but it just seems like he is not as "hungry" to run a restaurant.

Love this place! Paraphrasing what someone else said: this is a great old-style Italian trattoria. Amazing food, good portions, and great service.

La Manda’s, if not already, will become your go to when you are craving authentic old school Italian meal. Atmosphere is quaint and vibe is friendly. You will be treated like family and owner will most likely stop by your table to see that all is as it should be. Options you should not miss are their fried calimari, red pepper pesto linguine and chicken parmigiana. Portions are truly generous so you will, almost certainly, be taking home enough leftovers for another full meal. Prices extremely reasonable. For shared appetizer and two entrees and glass of wine and soda, bill came to $75. We love, love, love this place. You will too!

Place needs a little face lift, small, cozy, but the food, service and Sly = the best! The prices are great, Def' recommend! ️

We just came home from meeting good friends at LaManda's for dinner. The food is beyond 5 stars & Sly (the owner) was very charming & went above & beyond.

Very old and outdated the food was bland and undercooked and the waiter barely knew English place has a distinct smell. Not sure how it’s still open I ordered a small pizza and chicken franchese and the bill came to 48$! The portion were also small steer clear so many better places in the area

Must be new owners! Don't go there for the pizza, the service, the water, the silverware, the napkins, or for cleanliness. Only go for the salad and maybe the bar. The pizza we had no taste. They don't take credit cards. The place hasn't been updated in a hundred years. We've gone there many times decades ago and it was better. The prices are decent and all under $20 for food. It's a paper menu and they only give you one per table. We only get a cloth napkin when we order dinner's, not pizza. Maybe one of these days we'll try the food but there's nothing to draw us back. Go at your own risk. Nicely enough, the staff was cordial, at least one redeeming quality.

Zero stars. Zero class. I’d always forced myself to overlook the tacky decor with decades old layers of dust and tabletops covered thick with mystery gunk, but at our last visit my son was served a rotten meatballs (our entire table agreed). I quietly let our server know, and while our server was apologetic, SLY, the owner said that he ‘asked the other table if they were ok and they said yes. ’ Wow. He charged us for the pasta on the plate and as we left, made a racial Asian slur to my white husband, telling him never to come back (with expletives). So if you enjoy rotten meatballs served by a racist, this is your place.

Old style Italian restaurant, great food, this past time I had the stuffed mushrooms, yummy, chicken scarp is delicious. My only advice is bring cash as they don't accept credit or debit cards.

Was brought here by a family friend who has been going here for decades, it was incredible! Can’t wait to return

Good food. Good service. Annoying policy of making you wait for your whole party even tho every table was empty. Soda was flat. They should offer bottles or cans.

Chicken Scarp (boneless) is terrific here.ask for extra sauce.

Unfortunately, the pasta is consistently "gummy". Not a fan.
Soups and other dishes are on the bland side.

They are only open Wednesday thru Sunday (closed Mon and Tues)

Nice ambient, very good service, and amazing food. Restaurant is very beautiful, and very nice decorations! Servers were dressed very sharp and extremely professional and friendly. You cannot go wrong with this place!

Just had an awesome meal on a Friday night. The mussels were especially good along with the chicken piccata. A bottle of the Nozzole was the perfect accompaniment. Such a hidden gem. The service was excellent, too. Everything comes piping hot, which is so nice. Enjoy!

No frills and that's what's most delicious and charming about La Manda's. Silky, still Al dente pasta no matter what type and in which dish it's served. The sauce is all about the tomatoes. This is the place for local Italian.

Food was awesome, the owner is very friendly and the service is top notch. We had pizza, mussels, salad, pork chop, chicken marsala, chicken picatta and veal parm. All was delicious. Will definitely be going back. They also have a full bar and great covid-19 protocols.

This restaurant has delicious, authentic Italian dishes. The clams oreganatta is phenomenal as is the ravioli parmigiana, chicken scarp and the stuffed mushrooms taste like my mother’s. Bottom line everything is delicious and the food takes you back home. Love this place!

Went there because pre pandemic the food was awesome, not now. I ordered eggplant parmigiana and the cheese was overcooked and burnt as well as the sauce being burnt. The sauce on the accompanying pasta side was burnt as well. I ordered baked clams they were very good. There were no veal dishes on the menu and that was very disappointing. My friend ordered the chicken with peas and ziti. Was somewhat disappointing after having had that dish made with veal. I'm sad to say I will not be going back nor would I recommend this restaurant.

Place was outdated no table cloths on tables table was sticky and greasey when you touched it soda was flat service was ok food was very oilly also very small portions for the price paid not to happy with it

Truly gross. Processed hard chicken (chicken pallard) and doughy raw pizza. Atmosphere that needs a thorough cleaning. Looks like it closed 20 years ago but they forgot to tell the owner. Expensive for very bad food.

Still love the place. A little disappointed, the pizza was over cooked.dried out a little, will definitely be back for another one of their great salads and pizza again.

My family has been going to La Manda for +40 years. I can't think what life would be like without their frankly remarkable garlic pizza. Or their chicken scarpariello. Or the super fresh and juicy fried calamari. Or their ricotta cheesecake. Thanks Sly!

It was my 50th anniversary as a customer at my favorite Westchester restaurant. Been going there since I was 2 and nothing had changed except Sly and I getting older. Took the kids from Manhattan and was still just as amazing as ever and smiles all around! Thank you La Manda's!

This place is my preferred one. I visit plenty of restaurants but to this place I keep coming back again and again. The stuff is very receptive and the cuisine they place on your table is so tasty. I never decline to have a decent meal here. Highly recommended.

Not a place for kids.

It's not fancy, there aren't any frills, nothing special, not a great ambiance, and their wait staff may not come off as the friendliest people you'll ever meet, especially it's your 1st time or if your used to high end or chain restaurants. But you will have the best dam meal of you life. And after a while going you'll eventually be more like family than a customer and there just aren't many places like this left around here.

I've been eating here since I was a child and its still just as good now as it was back then.

Nothing on this menu is bad, over the years I've tried it all. They haven't changed it in 20 years and I hope they never do.

Hands down best Chicken Scarp around! Already a treat to eat here. Cash Only! They have an ATM.

Loyal eater since the mid 70s. Joint is old school and proud of it. Pizza is tremendous. Many dishes create bonds for life with fans. Salad. Pizza bead. Chix Scap. Pete (now Robert) behind the bar. You can count on a real meal here.

I haven't eaten inside since the mid 80s but I still think this is the best pizza in Westchester.
The staff and bartender make you feel like a regular.

Came here with my girlfriend today (2/15/20) came down from CT. Went to kmart in town for this first time. While in the area we wanted a real NY style pizza. This was it for us. Pizza was great! Service is excellent! Will come back again sometime in the future

Italian cuisine. Two parking lots in the back, and street parking. Service is attentive and helpful. Old world charm. No table cloths, but food is delicious. I do recommend it, and we will go back.we have for the last 28 years. Pictures below: Zuppa di Peace over spaghetti, and Chicken Scarparo.

So we went for dinner - my wife and 2 kids. They are not really kid-friendly and the clientele, on the older side, is of the same mindset. I think they realize that the word is out and they try to play it off.

Food was pretty good- we got served real quick - like super quick which was fine.

We had salad which is actually the best thing in my opinion. The pasta was good. Chicken dish was fine.

When the waiter asked if we wanted dessert I asked what was made in-house. He said, “Italian cheesecake” so I said okay, is it fresh? He replied yes. So I said okay. 3 seconds later it appears at the table, as if he had it in his pocket. It was burnt on top and must’ve been sitting out (which I didn’t realize until I took a bite) it was like room temp. I spit it out. Little did I know, my daughter (2.5 years old) tried it and she spit it out.

I told the waiter and he was shocked - like he never heard such a thing. And when we were leaving I investigated the place where the cheesecake appeared from and it was sitting on where the dishes and bread were. I asked the owner like what’s the deal. He said oh, that was the last piece, we keep it here. I told him it was horrible. He took it personally like, “you know that’s Italian cheesecake” yeah, trust me, I know.

He took it off the bill, albeit begrudgingly, but he did do it. And seemed to be annoyed.

Food like that should not be out of the refrigerator for more than 2 hours. Thank God we didn’t eat it. Guarantee I’d be sick all night.

I can see how the old world appeal is there. Food is okay- simple Italian - mass produced in very efficient manner.

If zero stars were possible, this would get it. It was expensive, and we received stale old pasta. Sausage in pasta wasn't cooked thoroughly. When we complained about the food, the chef came to our table and claimed that the pasta was "al dente. " IF YOU WANT YOUR TASTE BUDS TO REMAIN UNSCATHED, AVOID COMING HERE TO EAT!

La Manda's is the best Italian food ever! I have been coming here since I was a kid, over 30 years. My husband has been coming here since he was born. Now we bring our children here. The owners treat you like family which you don't find very often. They make sure you feel like you're family. Best italian restaurant ever.

As soon as we walked in we could smell dirty carpet, musty smell,
The stuffed mushrooms tasted old and the sauce was very watery, we ordered manicotti they were flat and burned on edges there was little cheese inside the tomato sauce tasted funny like it had a bad after taste, we had to wait for a table stood there a couple of minutes while they figured out what table to sit us in, they put us in a booth hurt my back the bench was hard to sit on, it was dark couldn't see the menu, so we had to move. The bus people were better servers than the waitress was.
I live in the area for years it was our first time there. Thought we would try it.
Needless to say it was our first time and last time we eat there. When we got home my stomach was upset, I was in the bathroom basically all night! So sad.

Hadn't been there in a ling time, but I do remember the food and service being excellent. Things are the same. Only one word describes it: Excellent

Been coming here for over 50 years and the deliciousness hasn't changed. The salad is amazing, and the marinara sauce is unbeatable!

Food was okay, the service was deplorable.
We had to call for refills and when we did they asked "how much". I mean a glass full of water? A half glass? Do we really have to measure out our water cups?
We got bread that was inedible. Hard like a rock. We had to ask for an untoasted bread and they looked at us like we were crazy.
No plates for our bread. So bread crumbs were all over the table and made the rest of dinner a mess.

I love calamira. They make it litely fried. It's perfect.not overdone. Not rubbery. I can't wait to go again.which we'll be soon

I stopped on a friend's recommendation, as Frank Pepe's Napolitano had run out of dough. With that being said, the pizza was okay. However, the dough needed to be slapped more because there was a considerable amount of bench flour left on it, affecting the taste of the pie. Also, the crust didn't seem to be cooked enough. Additionally, I think it needed a little bit more sauce.
