Superior location in the heart of Manhattan. King size beds for each. Good shower. Complete

Slightly dated rooms however, you can't beat the location. Right around the corner from Timesquare. In the heart of the theater district. Great restaurants in the area. Very good security. Service was attentive. Reasonable prices. Loved our stay.

If it wasn't for the very good quality of service from staff, I would not rate the Edison this highly.

Heather in housekeeping on the 15th floor, Julia and Rich at Bonds in the basement, and Sam the lady server at Friedman's were all exceptional.

The room was clean, basic, and renovated. Nothing special, but nothing to complain about. If the rates were more aligned with regular market pricing, this would be very good value.

Unfortunately, I fell prey to insane rip-off pricing during fashion week and the UN session.

Worse yet, I specifically called to speak with someone and ensure that I could book a renovated room. That person told me that "all the rooms are the same. " Upon arriving, I was lectured on how I should know better; that a "Signature" room is renovated and a "Classic" is not. I then had the privilege of paying an additional $300 for the room.

Also the "complimentary" breakfast is your choice or grab-n-go or a very limited selection from Friedman's Restaurant. Both are "okay" but know that your selections are very limited and there's a token $5.00 payment you need to make for sit-down service at Friedman's.

Lastly, a pleasant surprise was the fitness center. It's nothing lavish or particularly exciting, but it's far better equipped than the photos on the website and is on par or better than most hotel gyms.

Hi, we stayed in a hotel a while ago, before we arrived at the hotel our flight was cancelled and so we missed one day of the hotel we paid for. Everything should be fine as I had insurance but the hotel is not replying to emails and I have not been able to get an invoice for the missed day. I even wrote several times, but unfortunately I did not receive a reply.

Love this hotel. The location is fantastic. The service was great. We got a connecting room, expected it to be a little bigger. It was 6 of us, but overall, we had a great stay.

We used credit card points to book this hotel and were put in rooms that were less than desirable. My husband talked to the on duty manager and she got us into two very nice rooms, and arranged for snacks/beverages to be put into those rooms. The issue was not at all that of Hotel Edison's to correct, but they did in a big way and made our trip so much better.

It took the staff 30 minutes to place us in our room. They kept sending us to rooms overlooking the dumpster even though we clearly asked for a higher level. The front desk was uncooperative and didn't bother acknowledging hearing me. They religiously refused to give us a room with decent view.

Location is very good. The room we ended up with was ok in terms of being modern and have a decent size.

Rooms were nice but the guest services were excellent. Great Rum bar in the lobby and places to eat without leaving the hotel. Mere steps from the center of Times Square.

Staff are lovely and professional. Always kind. Help desk really helpful with directions around a bustling NYC, and helpful to book taxis. Room was lovely, smelt nice always clean, toilet really nice and padded seat. Shower pressure is good. TV really good. Gym is good and open 24/7. Nicely AC’d. Free cold water and ice in every floor. Location is amazing and right on Times Square and close to the subway.

You need to show your key to get into the elevator, which makes it feel SUPER secure and safe. Really liked this.

Downsides are they advertise as B&B and you have to pay $5 per person if you want to sit in and eat before your busy day. (Grab n’ go bags are free)

Definitely recommend, would come again.

The hotel is lovely and very convenient to Times Square. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The beds are very firm but I like a firm mattress. My only problem with this hotel is the bathroom door. It's frosted glass. It is lovely to look at but doesn't offer much privacy. My husband would have to leave the room each time our teenage daughter and niece wanted to use the restroom or take a shower and vice versa. The bathroom is small (as expected) but it makes a person's silhouette very visible. We ended up using the bathroom and shower with the lights off to try to have some sort of privacy. We tried to change rooms but were told that this is the same bathroom door is every room.

The hotel is very close to Times Square. It is old hotel and has basic amineties which needs an upgrade. The restaurent gets crowded during breakfast.

The room was the size of a closet. There was enough space for just a bed. The hotel is dated, nothing like in the pictures. False advertising. The room comes with nothing but they charge a resort fee of $32/day which I was not told about until I saw the charge. I wasn’t given a receipt at check out. The room had wifi and no other amenities but they charged a resort fee of $32. Go to another hotel unless you don’t mind spending more for nothing.

Okay its a cute place. But for the price not worth it. The room is small. The fridge is not worth to pay $30. Food is okay I'll give them that. U could get tickets to siteseeing. At less they were friendly. Great location have to say.

Very nice simple hotel. Although the only hotel I've been to that there is no mini fridge which is okay didn't need one.

Great location. However, they are under going renovations, which is badly needed. Wish they would disclose this on their website and other reservation sites. Outside view is totally blocked by construction net and we also suffered disruption of hot water.

My wife, son, and I checked in and guy who checked us in was very rude and unhelpful. He mumbled everything like he was annoyed at me (only thing I can think is because we look young, 25 and 23) and gave us no helpful information (including wrong info). Room is small, empty, and unimpressive to what I expected for being what we thought was a nice hotel. Bed is hard like a thin cot. Would not recommend except for how close it is to time square. Curious of how breakfast will be but he couldn’t help me with that either even tho it is inside the hotel. Was very excited the whole time for us to stay here. Traveling the east coast from Georgia to Maine and so far our worst hotel.

We absolutely love this hotel. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. They have gift bags to both of our kids. It’s super convenient to TimeSquare and their are plenty of restaurants that are close including some in the hotel. When we come to NYC we always stay here.
