Holiday Inn Johnstown-Gloversville, an IHG Hotel

Stayed here a couple of nights for a car club event. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!

Everything in this hotel is clean and upkept. The beds are super comfy, and there are plenty of pillows (firm and soft to pick from) for a good night's sleep.

The bathroom was exceptionally clean and well stocked with fluffy towels and Dove bath products all around.

For our event, we had the ballroom, which hosted our buffet breakfasts and dinners. The food was very fresh and good. For our 'awards night dinner, ' the dessert was Apple Crumble. I was told it's homemade, right there at the hotel. I have to say it was delicious and I even asked if I could take some home.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. Everyone had a smile and a hello, it was very refreshing to experience.

The area was lovely, also, with really beautiful drives, perfect for a car club.

Attended a small wedding party for our Niece and stayed here as well. Every aspect exceeded expectations. The food and service was top- shelf. Staff could not have been more accommodating. It's worth the stop just for the shrimp cocktail! Never seen anything like it- these were huge and delicious. Prime rib was excellent as well. Everything in the room was very clean and everything worked (which is usually not the case at other places I've stayed). Bed was so comfortable I actually slept in! - which I can never do when travelling. Thank you to all who made our brief stay so enjoyable!

Very clean and comfortable. Loved the breakfast at their restaurant. Staff can be just a little more friendly. Service should be with a smile.

I was going to write a long review but it’s really not worth the energy.

Everything’s great but the server Mark from 308 prime.

Would have been a perfect 5 stars but because of someone's misconstrued of towels and wash clothes. I was accused of taking 3 towels and 3 washcloths. I cleaned the room, stripped everything and put in piles. Took all trash out and tied bags. Straightened room and left a tip. Service was great except for one unhappy guy working front desk. Morning shift. When you asked him something seemed as if you were bothering him. They provide dove, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and handwash. Not enough towels so we did request more for the room and they were quickly to bring them. Pool was nice. Breakfast at the 308 prime connected to the hotel was amazing. 5 star to them. Guy and chef deserve 5 stars. Again highly disappointed on how someone whom cleaned the room, left tables perfect for waiter and whom Tipped 30$ would steal something. I'm super upset because I really enjoyed myself, and it ruined my mood being accused of stealing. I would have used this place again but because of that I honestly will choose to go elsewhere. It was highly embarrassing to be told something was missing in front of customers on top of it.

Clean, decent rooms. For what you pay for a room, they could at least give complimentary coffee or breakfast. Staff was ok.

The housekeepers work hard and keep that hotel going. They clean rooms that have blown up by disrespected customers, and dont care about what they do to the rooms, And for the most part nvr leave a tip. National Grid, Traveling Nurses and business ppl ARE THE WORST.

I asked if they could tell me if someone o was supposed to meet was there and they wouldn't tell me so the person I was supposed to meet made off with some of my finances was not pleased if u would like to know more have Jim email me @, this address

One night stay, clean quiet desk attendant was very cordial and helpful. Have stayed at the Amsterdam castle over the past few years but the price is now ridiculous. Holiday is much more affordable and comfortable.

Employees go in parking lot to meet men and go back to the room with them. Not to mention the place is a dump. They need to reevaluate who they hire. Especially Kaitlyn.

Nice and big hotel. Full restaurant on site. Tried thr burger and wings, it was actually really good. Breakfast to my door. Small town feel.

I literally about 45 seconds ago spoke on the phone with the woman working the front desk on 9/22 @ ~3pm. I think it was Kay or Kate (embarrassing but I forgot it in that minute). She was so nice. So helpful. Easily figured out what I was looking for and helped me out. I don't even care what the room looks like when we go to stay there Saturday. She was awesome and if she is any indication of the people they employee/how this location does business then I am sure the stay will be a-ok.

Went to a luncheon there on 9-12-22. The room it was held in was pleasant. The rolls were delicious other than that the food was not very good. I actually became I'll that evening from it.

Horrible service. Manager Kyle allowed some lady who just walked in font of me. No sorry or nothing.

Our room was very clean, housekeeping staff was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The grounds were well kept.

The restaurant sicks kinda. I left there an cone to the chinese restaurant 1 mile down the road

We stayed in room 300. There was a condenser hum that went off and on every 3 seconds ALL NIGHT. We left the INN at 3: 45am since we could not sleep. It was unbearable.

The food was absolutely horrible! It takes talent to ruin chicken. Just unedible. Not one person at our table received a good meal.

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower pressure was adequate. So the basics for my needs were covered. The staff was courteous. My downsides were that the room was small. The chair for sitting was stuck in a corner so tight against one bed is was not really comfortable to sit in. There is also no complementary breakfast.

My husband and I stayed one night to split up a longer trip elsewhere. The hotel was average, nothing special. We had a king bed room with a sofa bed, but just used the king bed. The biggest complaint is there appeared to be several pubic hairs on the floor in the bathroom which was disgusting! There was also a hair in the bed which grossed me out! No free breakfast like many other hotels. The toilet was also oddly low to the ground. I have definitely stayed at better Holiday Inns. It was okay for a one-night stay, but likely wouldn't stay again.

Rooms are spacious with excellent customer service. Climate control is convenient for those traveling from areas with different average temperatures. Parking is perfect, being that guest vehicles can be parked near the many exits. This parking accommodation makes coming and going much smoother for hotel guests. It's a pleasant place to stay with a state-of-the-art restaurant. I'll return when in town again!

I usually stay here once a year when I come up for a business meeting nearby. It's very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool is always closed this time of year. I get a free breakfast and the restaurant is convenient if I don't want to drive although there are other restaurants in the area. I stayed on the third floor this time. The water pressure in the shower wasn't spectacular but it was sufficient. Plenty of hot water. I would recommend staying here.

Better than expected. We usually head for hotels that are a little pricier as the accommodations are expected to also be nicer. But location of this hotel was perfect for our needs. Bed and bathroom were surprisingly nice. Room was clean and quiet (stay opposite the highway if it matters to you). Check-in staff was very helpful. The real jewel was the attached bar and restaurant. Kitchen management knows what they're doing. Nicely appointed, good menu options, and fantastic taste +presentation. If the need arrives, no need to look further than this hotel.

Friendly staff And helpful.super easy checked it.the hotel is a bit of a matrix. So bring bread crumbs and watch out for the twin girls.

I appreciate overnight manager john for being so wonderful! I’m a travel nurse, i get out of work around 3am -3: 30am and go back to work next day at 3pm, instead of having to check out at 11am and napping in my car, he worked with me so i could have enough sleep. I appreciate it so much! Plus it’s so nice and clean here. Will be staying here throughout my travel assignment!

Just went for a fund raising event. Cash bar was good. Appetizers where awesome though. Band was meh

Rooms were Clean although the hotel complimentary breakrast was not Complimentary.and the place was literatly like a maze.

Very nice hotel, convenient, clean, and very friendly staff. Plus, they have a restaurant on site which is open. Had breakfast and dinner-good food (just a little pricey but better than eating at a fast food joint).

Very clean and friendly staff. Bed is not very comfortable, but the pillows and blankets are amazing. Even after eating breakfast, they offered my two boys donuts from Dunkin.

My wife and I stayed there this past week and had a great stay. For the most part. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a couple of hiccups. The door lock batteries suddenly died and we got locked out, lol. It was handled promptly and fixed. Nobody could have seen that coming, lol. The staff was very pleasant. Except for the barmaid on Monday night. She wasn't very professional at all. But for the most part we got what we paid for. I'd stay there again. Oh and the restaurant is very nice and the food was pretty good. No complaints there.

Ballroom (Sacandaga Room) with great acoustics and lighting. Freshly brewed coffee with creamers and sugar in packets. Spacious parking out front and free wi-fi. Clean bathrooms and lovely decorations in the lobby, including a plaque which recounts the story of the Holiday Inn's founder. Very friendly and efficient staffers. In October 2021 the Fulton County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe at this location during his second historic gubernatorial campaign.

Spent 4 days there…. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, the lounge and restaurant served very good food, and the staff was great.

Very nice and quiet hotel. I stayed there years ago before the renovation was completed, it is 100% better now.

Staff is great! Rooms are well kept. I would clean the carpets in some places but not bad overall. They give you the option to have hoise keeping service your room or not, so I can wave this.

Poor communication with hotel staff and guests, manager lies completely. Canceled reservation weeks before needing and was still billed for it. Have plenty of emails, and phone records ti show it was canceled. And still billed.

Very poor hotel manager has napoleon complex, treats people as if he is of higher authority. Pre booked with them for a wedding in advance Cindy failed to print out proper guests cards for invitations after giving us run around for a week then jim the manager failed to cancel our rooms when we called because we decided to go down the road to the microtel inn where Johnathon the manager was very well accommodating. And I would highly reccomend that hotel for all your services. But the holiday in still charged our cards. And we have recording stating to cancel the rooms and they canceled all but one room and decided to bill us for one room. Terrible service. Do not go there.

We had to move because they gave us the room that these teenagers were partying in and it smelled like weed and was atrocious and we ended up moving to another room because the beds were too small on the first floor on the plus side their restaurant is good and the people here are nice

We didn’t stay in the hotel however did eat at the restaurant 308 Prime. The food wasn’t bad, not great. The manager was not friendly at all when asked about our meal. We have been here in the past and never had this bad experience. French Dip sandwich without cheese on the sandwich, and served on a hamburger bun? Never before. Waited nearly an hour after ordering for a subpar meal and service. Cannot recommend

This restaurant has insanely good food. I don't know how they do it, but I would highly recommend anything on their menu.

Have stayed here several times over the years and enjoyed but not this time. Fridge wasn't on or didnt work, didnt need so wasn't concerned. First morning coffee pot didnt work, not happy about that, did report all, Sunday night air cond didnt work, left at 4 am.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Government rate is 180 per night for a full size beds. Nothing was included.

Food is great rooms are terrible they're answer to non working tv apps is those aren't available can't smoke or bring around a drink to enjoy yourself I have more fun on the streets paid for cheaper motels in the past offered alot more then this bs wifi barely ever works never coming here again

Very, very clean hotel. I am certain it gets a lot of traffic, being the only decent hotel in the town, but you would not know it. Beds were comfortable, rooms were very clean, bathrooms are a bit small, but adequateand with good amenities. Good television. Very quiet. The lobby is located a fair walk from the rooms, which is a bit strange, but no big deal for me.

Just stopped in for a minute. Very friendly and professional staff. This place is spotless. Lunch time smells amazing. They always have some function going on. That says a lot about this hotel. Popular!

Love Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Pet friendly with a small deposit. Room service is stellar and the little ‘store’ located near the lobby desk in the express inn has a wide range of food and snacks! The parking lots are always large enough to maneuver a trailer out a large 26’ UHaul.

Covid sanitized. You feel safe and clean here.

I highly recommend all Holiday Inn and Express stays.

Excellent experience. This is my second visit in 2 weeks and I'll be back again if I'm in the area.

Clean environment at a friendly atmosphere. Ok prices but most of all good food especially French onion soup.

Had dinner at 308 Prime tonight and we were pleasantly Suprised with excellent food and service from Nicole.i reccomend the scallops and the prime rib. We will definitely return

If I could leave zero stars I would, found a roach in our room and the manager in charge Nichole argued what it was and said it would probably be better if we left. Called the GM John and he was sticking up for his manager and tried to say they had the roach analyzed which she thrown out so he basically lied. Would not stay there again for fear of bringing roaches home.

This was a nice hotel. I was a little hesitant pulling up because of the layout. It reminded me of a super 8. But the bedding was nice and there were nice extras in the room like mouthwash, and bath & body lotion (my fave!). No breakfast included though. There is a restaurant, but we were eager to get back on the road, so we did not stay.

The service at the restaurant is awful. 20 minutes for drinks, an hour for food. The wait staff and host/hostess are nice though. Not sure what the deal is. The food is decent. The wings are great. The steak is good. Go there with good company so you can forget how long it takes to get served.

I came as a guest. Dining here is top notch. Delicious food. Friendly staff.
Rooms were adequate & modern. Lots of parking. Easy to get to.

Clean hotel and rooms. On-site restaurant. Offers in room breakfast although the price for it is extremely high. The beds are horrible.
