The hotel is well located. The room was cozy and clean. There could be a little more storage space and a place to open a suitcase. The bathroom is huge and there is a shelf for things. The room had a nice partial view of Times Square. You could hear the noise of construction work during the day. It didn't bother us because we were in the city during the day. The staff was friendly, especially our cleaning lady. She always greeted cheerfully.

Stayed here not long ago, the staff is terrible and just doesn’t care about the quality of service, the rooms are absolutely filthy and the staff are worse because they are rude! Spoke to the manager Joanne and she was extremely rude to me and yelled at me because she was frustrated! I will never ever stay at this hotel and warning anyone who is looking for somewhere to room for a night, stay far away!

Hotel manager Tyrea Brown refuses to help guest cancel reservation when she has the authority to do this common courtesy. Doesn’t matter that I’m a Hilton Honors Diamond Member calling 72 hours in advanced and going into the hotel one full day in person prior to check in to speak with her due to sick guests. Unacceptable service!

My wife Brittany posted a review concerning our stay on December 19-22. We were in room 3408 and twice we contacted the front desk about the elevator noises, once in person, once by phone. We were told the engineer would be up to look at them. No feedback was ever provided. No one came to our room and spoke to us. It does not surprise me at all to see the unfortunate review left by the guests who were stuck in the elevator six days ago.

We asked to speak to a manger multiple times while at the hotel. We emailed the manager, never received a response. Filed a complaint with corporate Hilton and the hotel refused to take it seriously.

On the first day we requested to be moved to a different room and were denied.

Perhaps management needs to listen to guests and take concerns seriously. Guest should not have to ask multiple times to talk to a manager and be refused every time.

This hotel is right in the heart of Times Square, which puts you in the fray of gobs of people and can make it a little tricky to hop in a Lyft or Uber. Service was friendly although frustrating when we got locked out of our room after an (approved) late check-out on our last day. We wound up having to go back down to the desk (from the 31st floor) multiple times, which could have made us late to the airport.

The room itself was completely serviceable; NYC small but with thoughtful details that made it not matter too much. The destination fee/food credit is a little annoying, but it's easy enough to spend $10 daily. If we hadn't had an event in Times Square, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. As it was, this was a reasonably priced option in the neighborhood we needed for this particular trip.

My wife and I had enjoyed our stay until after checkout when we realized we left my wife’s engagement ring on the counter in the bathroom. By the time we realized we left the ring at the hotel it was too late to go back to the hotel to retrieve it. When we called the hotel they didn’t answer the phone and we could not get in touch with anyone for at least 24 hours after we had left. We made numerous calls during that time and no one would take the time to talk to us. We were transferred to person after person for at least that afternoon, evening night and next morning.

That was the first issue. The second issue, once we talked to someone (Maurice I think his name was.) He quickly told me that there was no ring, and that he couldn’t do anything about it. It seemed as if he didn’t care that we had lost a possession of ours. It seemed as if it was of little to no importance to him.

Third, I find it very unlikely that whomever cleaned the room didn’t find the ring. The engagement ring was set on the left side of the sink on the soap holder along with a couple other larger rings. The day before we left, my wife left the rings in the same place and whomever cleaned the room moved the rings to clean the soap holder. Which tells me the rings were noticeable on the counter.
When we checked out of the hotel, the rings were in the same place had we had left them before. It doesn’t make sense that the rings were noticeable one day but not noticeable the next. It also wasn’t one ring it was multiple, which would make them hard to miss.

We are %100 positive that the ring was left there, as my wife remembers putting it there and as we have pictures of before and after we left the hotel (showing the ring before we left and not showing the ring after).

The lack of help and communication was baffling. I also cannot believe how little of effort was put into helping us find this valuable possession once we did talk to the employees at the hotel.

****Adjusted rating from 1 star to 5 star when Hilton and I had a conversation about the issues below. I feel happy now and will continue to stay at Hilton properties.
We had a reservation to stay as well as dinner reservations here but they had a fire in the generator, as we were told. Before they moved us and others to another Hilton for the night, I asked if it was a comparable hotel and I was assured it was. They lied. There was no restaurant, no shower rather a bathtub/shower combo, (I had a stroke and needed a shower for safety) the carpet and sheets were stained and furniture was broken. I complained to them as we are members of their Hotel Club but all we got was an apology. When I requested partial compensation, I was told "They did not charge us a cancellation fee. " In essence that was our compensation. Hilton was a brand you could trust, no longer. I doubt we will ever trust staying at another one. They lie.

Amazing location. Right in the center of everything. I was just a little disappointed that the parking was so far but that’s it. Breakfast was amazing. Very friendly staff, they are very helpful.
