Absolutely loved this restaurant honestly can’t fault anything thanks Dayma you were fantastic 100% be back when I’m in town!

The place is good but not great or outstanding.the food is tasty but there's better italian food in NYC.portions are small but I think that's the tendency now days.place can get loud.service is standard without a plus.its definitely not $$ but $$$.
Will I come back? Maybe.

I paid a visit to Gelso & Grand back in July. It was my first ever trip abroad and I was incredibly awkward. However the hostess out front and the two waitresses who served me could not have been friendlier. The food was great. It was a little busy when I stopped by but it was a nice atmosphere.
If I'm ever in NYC again I'll be sure to return to Gelso & Grand.

Ugh - I paid for my group and they included a tip on the check and then handed me the terminal which prompted me to tip another 18% 20% or 22%. The server didn’t tell me the original tip was already included. That type of deception is so annoying

In the heart of little Italy, in a busy intersection with corner location and huge windows for people watch.
Amazing staff, super friendly and excellent service. Italian food at it's best.

You know you were disappointed in a restaurant when you leave yourself a note at the bottom of your travel bag to post about it, and still feel compelled when you find the note 4 years later. Shoehorned against a bus station in a party of 10, ignored by the server because the other end of the table was ordering $200 bottles of wine. Food was painfully mediocre but I never got to tell a soul until I was walking out the door, and by then I had lost interest in anyone there knowing.

Service is superior. Decor was well done.
This is not really Italian.
Flavors are more Thai.

Octopus was decent.
Pass on the bone marrow.
Bread was cold.

Steak was cooked well but the flavor profile was hard to explain.

I went to Little Italy and I will have to find another Italian Restaurant.

Very solid dinning experience. Great ambience. Friendly and attentive staff. One of the few places where I was actually impressed by the appetizers. Vongole pasta was very good.

Not the best Italian restaurant I've been to in NYC, but still very good overall.

Cute little Italian place in Little Italy! A little expensive, but definitely still cheaper than other places in the area. Great menu with plenty of vegetarian options and great appetizers and pizza! The brussels sprouts and margarita pizza were our favs!

Can I give this place more than 5 stars? It was so good. Can’t wait to go back. Everyone was super nice. It was a nice day to sit outside and enjoy a peachy frosé.

This is my favorite restaurant in New York. I’ve been going here for 5+ years now and it’s still just as excellent as the first time.their prices are high but are JUSTIFIED for the quality of the food and the setting.beautiful restaurant with excellent decoration, big open windows and a woody vintage classic feel to it.pesto pasta is always delicious and I really want them to bring back the whipped potatoes with cheese. SO GOOD

This place is SO good. Totally recommend it and get the four cheese pizza with crispy pepperoni and the strawberry shortcake cannoli. I love Italian everything and this spot is a winner. Must try.

Beautiful location on Little Italy but a disappointment when it came to ordering dessert. Place ran out of peach cobbler which the waitress was selling, then the only flavor for sorbet was lemon. What about orange, strawberry or possible mango. Would not go back again.

LOVED gelso and grand. It was so good! Excellent service and the menu had lots of options. We started with the truffle bruschetta. So rich and creamy. 5/5.
I ordered the Spaghetti with meatballs. It was delish!

It’s located right on Mulberry and Grand. I got the bolognese pasta and quattro cheese pizza. They are both soooo good. Totally recommend the pizza if you want to taste some fig and honey along with some good cheese. Both indoor and outdoor are cute.

Homemade Pasta was delicious. Braised lamb was very tender and the cheese you can tell was also high quality home made in little Italy. Highly recommend this place for some authentic little Italy Italian good and drinks. Portions are reasonable and service was very attentive.

Wow! Nice old fashioned Italian mixed with a little bit of modern and you have a Gelso & Grand, whatever you want in Italian old country or modern NY Italian you will find it here at Gilson & Grand, friendly and amazing staff always will to help you. Imagine, Im a technician and I work on their machine, so I eat here sometimes, so I get to taste alot of their mouth watering dishes. So if your hungry a nd would like to sit inside or outside on summer times you will enjoy coming to Gelso & Grand.

Great indoor/outdoor street vibe. Cool and casual with a great menu and super staff. Perfect for our first night in NYC.

Drinks and then Salad and the pizza were excellent. The crust was light and airy. The salad was a delicious and unusual combination of roasted almonds raisins burrata with arugula

Excellent homemade pasta (especially with the braised lamb), solid wood-fired pizza, and maybe the best brussels sprouts I've ever eaten. Not to mention A-plus service. All of this in the environs of Little Italy, with the restaurant a stone’s throw from three great cannoli joints

Amazing spot! Our waitress was so great and attentive (wish I knew her name!). The spot itself is also so fun and cool inside, great mix of old fashioned and new. The margarita pizza was phenomenal, and you can’t beat Peroni on tap!
