We booked a two-bedroom suite at the Conrad Midtown and were assigned 3003 and 3004. They’re two separate rooms behind another door, with a common entryway. (Sharing for anyone who books a suite thinking it’s all connected.) This was not communicated to us and we discovered it when we got to our rooms.

Overall, our stay was pleasant but there were a few issues that were surprising given the quality and reputation of the Conrad.

First, the showers in each room flooded the floors of the bathrooms; I’m talking a literal puddle on the floor after a ten minute shower. We had to throw a bunch of towels on the floor to soak it up. The glass shower doors/walls aren’t sealed properly.

Second, our room was poorly cleaned. Whoever cleaned our room either didn’t vacuum at all or did a shoddy job.

Third, the lotions in our bathrooms were clearly opened and partially used by the previous guest (s) in our room. The cleaning staff didn’t replace them so I don’t know if this was just our room or if they have a practice of not replacing toiletry products between guests.

We were also surprised to see stains and scuffs on the walls that are pretty easy to clean and fix.

While the staff was polite and professional, the rooms were not up to the standard I would expect for the Conrad. I would be more upset if we paid for these rooms vs using Hilton points. I don’t know if our room assignment and low cleaning quality were due to booking with Hilton points or if this is standard practice at Conrad Midtown, but I wouldn’t recommend this location.

It’s been very special visit from the manager. Rohit Mahajan to Aranthes everyone has been exceptionally welcoming…

They made sure all the details were noted and everything is just perfect.

Thank you,

Had a great stay while in NY to look at colleges for my daughter. We loved how big the suite was, very quiet, never heard noise from other rooms which is very important to me. Some noise from the hallway but the suite has doors you can close to the bedroom so any hallway noise doesn't bother you while sleeping. Bed was super comfortable, shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Great location, short walk to 5th ave, Central Park, the met, Times Square and broadway. Easy to catch a bus downtown and back if you are not super enthusiastic about the subway. Housekeeping was pretty good, though they never refilled the Nespresso pods during my 4 day stay. The weak spot is the restaurant/room service. Seemed overly expensive even for NY standards and just not enough good options. Also service at breakfast wasn't great. A lot of wait staff milling about but never refilling coffee or checking on your table. Overall great stay, highly recommend, would definitely stay again next time I'm in NY and I'd just plan to eat elsewhere as much as possible.

This is not a 5 star hotel. Terrible value. Staff is 1 Star at best. Breakfast for 2 was $90 but the quality is like Denny’s. Doorman helps you carry bags a few feet and then demands a tip. I saw him later counting his huge wad of money. They are good at collecting money. Not good at delivering 5 star service.

Conrad NY Midtown is our favorite hotel in the city. The rooms are big, clean and with very comfortable beds and the views are great! But what sets them apart from other five star hotels in the neighborhood is their wonderful customer service, especially Maria at the reception. Thank you for always making our New York trips comfortable and memorable.

As someone who traveled extensively and experienced Hilton brand hotels on 3 continents, I found the Conrad to be one of the best of the brand (although the Caledonian in Edinburgh can't be beat). The suite we had was spacious (especially for Manhattan) and spotless. The beds were super comfortable and the linens luxurious. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars was the puzzling lack of what I would consider essential furniture for a luxury hotel. Although there was a credenza in the living room with minibar and extensive coffee making facilities, there was no workstation (desk and chair) so I had to crouch over my laptop on the coffee table. While there was adequate closet space, there was no dresser or other drawer space apart from on large bin-like drawer in the foyer closet. So we had to live out of our suitcases for 3 days.

We were wary of this Conrad, given mixed reviews, and pleased by experience that consistently exceeded our expectations. At check-in, we were offered a lovely upgrade to the lowest-priced suite we booked via the AmEx Platinum Fine Hotels program, which specifies a space-available upgrade. Our suite, 3109, was exceptionally nice, w/ (4) 6’ x 2’ windows in the bay of our living room, a generously sized bedroom and two well-proportioned antechambers… Actual, non-generic art and soothing architectural & design details pleased rather than annoyed us (and we often have been annoyed). Contrary to some critical reviews, the breakfast buffet was quite nice, with attentive service. The hotel restaurant, Dabble, offers a traditional hamburger for $40 and no cocktails for less than $24. Most of the menu was priced similarly; though we scored a good value by ordering carefully. (See our separate review of Dabble.) We found common areas inspiringly well designed and the staff engaging, pleasant and helpful. (Shout outs to Andres and Selena.) Con: We checked in at the end of a front desk shift, when our agent was clearly exhausted after some evident customer service trauma. Some might have been irritated by her affect, but we were grateful for her clarity about our AmEx benefits and the upgrade. Since the pandemic, 5-star experience at 5-star hotels has been harder to come by. The Conrad seems to us worthy of the designation.

We had a lovely stay at the Conrad Midtown last weekend. It was our first time at this hotel. Everyone working there was so nice and helpful. The very kind management and front desk staff even provided a few sweet treats for my husband's birthday which we were celebrating. This is such a great location as it is convenient, yet quiet. We stayed in 3605 and had a lovely room with a corner view of Central Park. We cannot wait to stay here again! Thanks again for making our birthday trip special!

Overall experience was excellent. The star of the show is definitely their rooms. Very large suits that are modern, well designed. Very comfortable mattress. Bathroom modern, probably the best water pressure I’ve ever experienced. Seriously it will blow your mind. Bathroom products are high end. Turndown service included occasional chocolates on bedside, etc. Rooms very quiet.

Things they can improve:

1. We paid extra for a Central Park view. Our view was perhaps a small streak of green to the left of a building, definitely not what you see on their website. If you book this, I’d recommend requesting the highest room when you check-in if you want a view (we were floor 31).

2. The restaurant breakfast needs serious improvement. The service was slow, often quite poor. The food quality was quite average. The cost if you didn’t have it included in your room was very high ($50 pp for hot buffet, $10 for cup of drink coffee, $10 for cup of orange juice).

Was told the hotel is going through a renevation and given an updated room. I was not impressed with the room at all. The box spring was clearly soiled on one side, hard wood floors where scratched, almost no water pressure in the shower, and the heating system did not work well. The room get 1 of the 3 stars. The breakfast was subpar. Reconstituted powered eggs just didn't cut it for me not the sour watermelon. The other 2 stars are because of the outstanding location.

Great location. Walk to MoMA in minutes.
Suite is huge. Best gym I have seen in all hotels I have stayed in NYC.
Staff is very friendly.
The only thing I would ask is a coffee maker in room.

Celebrating 25 years of marriage.
My wife and I stayed here before in the summer for her birthday. I wanted to give it a star 5 then but couldn't because of the customer service given by the front desk and the restaurant. This is a review based on our stay there at Christmas celebrate their 25th years of marriage. The first person that spoke to me was Christopher (Guest Services) and the first words to come out of his mouth was you're come in the wrong way. Yes I did come the revolving door on the left side. I was stressed from traveling and was tired. The very first words no smile. The people working in the front desk needs to learn about customer service they need to smile. Never get a room close to the elevator it can be loud at times. The restaurant has improved tremendously and I know this is a hotel that is being renovated. I'm a diamond member and never was mentioned of diamond status. The restaurant was much better. The location was great. Minutes away from everything. This hotel is making improvements and I believe it will be a star 5 one day.

This is a nice hotel in a good location. All the rooms are suites. I'm guessing this is a former apartment building.

The room was clean and comfortable with great views. The bed was very nice. I'd definitely stay here again.

To say that this property is sub-par would be kind. First, this property is undergoing renovation so all the "good rooms" on higher floors are not available, a fact that is not disclosed on the gorgeous website. I booked a room with a view and, as a Diamond loyalty member, I realize I expect a bit more but this property is such a departure from what is advertised, I would advise anyone to stay away. As this was a special occasion, I called ahead to reconfirm and was told that "I was really going to like the room" in spite of the fact that I was not getting the room I booked. I was told that we were "upgraded" which I found out later (from conversations at breakfast with other guests) that is what they were telling everyone who didn't get what they booked. The room we got had a view of a brick wall. The room itself was in such a state of disrepair we were shocked at how bad it was. When I complained, I was given the brush off, we I noted we didn't get what we booked, I was told I could cancel but where was I going to go that same day during the holiday season? The bathroom was supposed to be "luxury" but it was just an open design with cheap fixtures that flooded water onto the bathroom floor. The "buffet" was atrocious and at $100 for 2 buffets and a coffee, unbelievably overpriced. I will let the unattended stations, thrown together food and rubber egg hot plate photos speak for themselves. The staff ranged from obnoxious to ambiguous. Overall, these people should be ashamed of themselves for charging the insane $800+/ night price tag for a luxury suite. I know I won't get my money back or even an acknowledgement beyond the usual "business owner response" of some variation of "Geez we're sorry about your stay, " but please heed my warning. Stay away. Cancel if you can. Don't ruin a good visit to a great city with this dump.

Awesome stay! The team was exceptional and the room was beyond my expectations. I love that this All Suites hotel is in NYC, where hotel rooms can feel a bit cramped. The Hilton Brand got this one right! If you can stay at the London, you will not be disappointed. Centrally located and within walking distance to great food and attractions such as Carnegie Hall, Times Square, shopping, and theatre district. Looking forward to staying at the London again. So, get ready to put on the grey robe, as you saunter past the foyer with a snack and beverage from the well appointed refrigerator and enjoy your room a la "Mad Men" style. The only tricky thing was figuring out how to turn on the lights in the sitting area.

The location was great! Just a short walk from Times Square. The traffic was so bad along this particular street so if you need an Uber budget for extra time. The service was amazing! Anything you want they accommodated it for you so quickly. The main bedroom looked really nice and the bathroom as well. Our room had a separate living room with pull out sofa. That particular part seemed old and an afterthought. However, each night you received a turn down service. The restaurant was extremely expensive. I bought a hot tea and soup for $35. I’d suggest eating elsewhere. Other than this the hotel was lovely and would definitely stay again.
16 January 2019 9:06
The rooms were okay. I believe the hotel was getting an update but that information wasn't shared with me I heard from someone else that was staying there. I wasn't overly impressed by anything at the hotel. Even the service at the bar was a bit pretentious. I did enjoy the bellhop services they were kind and helpful! That's my 2 cents you decide.

This hotel doesn’t have its business together. My wife, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law came up to celebrate my mother-in-laws 65th birthday. They didn’t learn until check-in that the hotel was overbooked. They shipped them off to a lesser hotel Park Central. My wife said it reeked of bleach. It through a big wrench in the plans they had and cost them time, which effected other reservations they had. In the grand scheme of things, they are just three guests for a single night, so probably not a big deal to them. Just a warning to others, make sure you have contingency plans in case they overbook you and screw you out of something you’ve had planned.

Very nice hotel, location is close to a lot of things. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a younger trendy hotel, it's not that kind of hotel. Otherwise it's nice.

My Stay This Past Sunday Was Horrible. The Staff was not accomadating at all i requested to be on the 18th fl because that use to be the smoking floor and was told i dont need to be on that floor because its no longer a smoking hotel and there will be a 300$ CHARGE. Granted i said ill just take it outside thats Understandable. The lady repeatedly told me do not smoke 3 times during check in conversation. I politely told her after the last time i get it im not a child i understand rules. I then was put on 12th fl Coincidentally after 45mins of taking a nap the fire alarms in both parts of the room went off scared me out my sleep. I then called the front desk and notified them security came banging on the door demanding to inspect the room. During inspection Security Then stated the room phone wasnt working. The security said evrything looks okay she’ll deactivate the alarms from the control room and ill have to stay up for about another hour or so someone can look at the phone. I was livid it was my birthday and i was trying to get rest before going out for the night. I then packed up all my stuff and went to the front desk for a room change and the new room was dirty and dingy looking in the bedroom. After being in the new
Room I was bothered by staff 3 times after asking “is everything okay. ” Randoms Knocks on the door. The whole concept of the stay was horrible. I felt targeted after a while so i literally just left got my make up done and came back late to go to bed. Never again will i stay here.

Good location, walkable to Central Park. All the rooms are suite style. We redeemed Hilton points and initially got an 8th floor room which had pink/red furniture and a meh view. We called to ask for a higher floor, and got something on 25th, which was great. Furniture was blue theme and much nicer, not the greatest view but had more natural lighting. Bathroom is huge with two shower heads. The gym is also huge with a boxing area. Overall great Hilton property.

Very spacious rooms for NYC. Great location for all of the tourist attractions. As others have said, some of the furniture is banged up and rooms are in need of maintenance to bring it up to top luxury standards. If you are picky about that- I would hold off on this property until after they finish the renovations which are planned I hear for 2019. As for me I appreciated the space and had a great stay. Breakfast in the morning was top notch and choices were plentiful.

Stayed recently @ The London NYC's penthouse suite for an overnight trip. The penthouse was nice - 2 stories on the 53rd and 54th floors, 2 bedrooms, and 2 1/2 bathrooms.

Downstair is fit for entertaining guests and upstairs is where the bedrooms are located. Suite was clean throughout and provided more than enough room to stretch out in ways untypical for NYC's usually cramped style.

The food is delicious and the menu creative. The beer selection and quality, fantastic. Even the drinks are delicious (a rarity for a pub/bar, no?). Just go. For a drink, a game, trivia night. You're guaranteed to love it.

The hotel itself was ok, I would say it could use an update for the lower class rooms that are used more.

When we got there the A/C unit didnt function properly and it did take a while to get fixed. The guy was great and once there was fast.

The people who work there were great from the front desk to concierge they were helpful and very pleasant.

I would advise this hotel but get a higher end room.

If your doing a quick stay in a cheap room I'd go to someone else.

We are from DC and we were in town to see Hamilton on Broadway. We called before hand to inquire about early check in. The person on the phone assured us early check in was available. Early check in was important because our show started at 2: 15. Once we arrived, it was told that rooms were not available. I took 20 mins to explain that we had actually call.showed them the call that was made. Finally we were given our room. Clean, and spacious. Towels were plenty. The furniture seemed a little dated but maybe that's the overall concept. This hotel is on a one way street. We ordered room service.it was ok. My burger was well done instead of medium well. We had a great stay overall.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in years.

Service horrible, nobody smiles, feel like you’re asking a favour from staff. Room key malifuctions twice, both times are told to wait for security to meet at room for viewing ID, rather than standard card replacement at front door.

Breakfast buffet $40US, basic as scrambled eggs and sausages, orange juice defrosted. Cappachino $10! We went to leave and pay and were requested by the restaurant manager to sit back down for the bill rather than arranging herself!

Room was smoke free but stank of cigarettes, paid over $1100US per night.

Food delivery wernt allowed to deliver to room, stopped at front desk even though someone could come off the street and walk up no problem, no security. I mean, if they want to play the black rasism card, they could arrange staff to bring it up for us, it is supposedly a 5 star hotel!

Seriously, this hotel is overpriced, severly outdated and the staff are horribly rude.
