Don't be lured by the great location - this place is lame.

Arrived at 11: 15 am for an 11: 30 am reservation for two. Was told to leave and come back as they were preparing lunch service. Huh? That's not a thing. It was raining, so my girlfriend and I walked around in the rain for 15 minutes and came back.

Our server was a weirdo. She sat us down and gave us menus. After we decided what to order, she swung by and snatched the menus off the table. "Wrong menu" she says, verbatim. Not, "Ya know what, I'm so sorry, I put the wrong menu down! We've been so busy today" or something like that. Nope. "Wrong menu" *snatches menu off table*. Comes back 5 minutes later with the evidently correct menu. No explanation, no "I'm so sorry, I'll be right back to take your order". Nothing. Pitiful!

Caesar salad had three croutons on it. One, two, three. We could count them.

Took thirty minutes - THIRTY minutes - to get scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. There were about 15 customers in the entire restaurant. (There were about 20 employees. Huh?)

There's one single shooter bathroom for a restaurant that can hold about 100 people. What? How is that possible. And you have to walk through the servers crowded area to get there.

Trust me - this place survives due to location. It's right across the street from where Hamilton is showing, and that's why I selected it.

Don't get fooled like I was, this place is lame-o. Anywhere around there is better.

Amazing service. My server was very attentive and friendly. Perfect location for a pre theater meal. Ask for the chicken Parmigiano, it's out of this world.

Every morsel is deliciously prepared. Don't miss the spaghetti carbonara! The best I've ever had.

Loved this place. Went in for lunch on a weekday so it wasn't overly crowded.

Peter took good care of me.

I had the short rib meatballs and the pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Both were delicious; the pizza was special!

Bond 45 was wonderful! Brunch menu was great. We got the avocado toast and omelette, both of which were fantastic! Our server Daniel was so nice and thoughtful. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday before a Broadway show. Daniel realized we didn’t want desert but brought out a birthday mimosa with a candle. Overall, great time…plus we met Susan Sarandon who was also eating there!

This is a great place to come to when doing a play and/or if you want decent Italian food with no surprises, that will hit the spot. Bond 45 is located in the Edison hotel, very close to Times Square.
For drinks, had the Bond Spritz and the Bond Cup (?). Forgot name of the second drink. Both drinks were on the sweet side. Our waiter was attentive, and quick without being annoying.
For food we had the lasagna, two meatballs and a mozzarella stick. All meals were good and yummy. Only thing I found odd was that we weren't served bread prior to our meals. Other than that, meals and service were great. Seems like they always take in walk-in customers, as it's a pretty large place

Lots of history in this place. The original Bond in NYC (around 1960~70) was a department/clothing store on 45th street. This Bond play homepage to it's roots (hence 45 in the name). It is conveniently positioned, right next to time square and a few minutes from the Port Authority. This place is home to one of the BEST NYC style pizza you'll ever have. With the crust literally being paper thin, yet does not feel like a biscuit but rather dissolves in one's mouth and packs a ton of flavor. It's pizza dough magic or science depending on your perspective. The other food I tried pretty good as well, namely their pizza-like Chicken Parm and steak. But unfortunately they other items, while tasty in their own rights, are unlikely to be the best Italian dishes you'll ever have. Still, I command the copious portions. That being said, the drinks were almost undrinkable and we had to send them back for tweaks (Tried a margarita and an old fashioned). What is also (unfortunately) holding Bond 45 back are that, for that price point, the ambience and atmosphere were barely above average.

Great breakfast spot in the Times Square area! Avocado Toast was delicious! Great service as well.
10 September 2023 20:32
This was 5 star. Great service. Loved our waitress she was so nice, helpful, knowledgeable. I feel like that is rare nowadays. The food was homemade great portions no cutting corners at this restaurant. I loved the comfortable ambiance, pretty but not too fancy very welcoming all around. I can’t wait to go back!

Magnificent in every way! Our waiter, our table and our food was so tasty! The anti pastas, exquisite drinks (Manhatten and another with a dried sweet pineapple) were so yummy! Right across the street from “Hamilton ”
It was was like returning to Europe!

Bond 45 was fantastic! The perfect spot for delicious eats and drinks, steps away from all the shows. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience!

We came here 7 years ago and adored it, was sad to hear they had to move locations- the feel of the other place was incredible and may have had a large part to do with why we loved it.

They seemed to have transported all their decor and fittings over so it has a nice feel still.

This time, went for breakfast; food and coffee okay, service not bad.
Overall though not a bad choice for a meal when around Times Square

So so good! I was a little worried based on a few past reviews but the food was spectacular and the drinks were perfect. Will definitely be back.

Let me start by saying that I walked into Bond45 last night with the expectation that a place with such high prices would run like a well oiled machine. I had a reservation, walked in on time, and was seated immediately. So far, so good. We were seated in a two-top section (row of tables for two). They sat 4 tables in the section almost simultaneously (putting a lot of pressure on the server). We ordered drinks. They came quickly. My wife's side of ice she requested came about 10 minutes after we asked. We ordered a ceased salad, the salmon (medium), the tomahawk ribeye (med rare), and a 3 vegetable plate as a side dish. The salad was very small for $16 (about 10 leaves of romaine lettuce, a tasty dressing, and an underwhelming crusty cheese thing on top (croutons would have been better). At least it came 3 minutes after I ordered it. The entree was a different story; mine anyway. My wife's $32 salmon was perfect; worth it. She asked for more bread, and it NEVER CAME. My $65 steak came out very overcooked. I sent it back. The server apologized. 10-15 minutes later (my wife's dinner was almost done by now) my new steak arrived; VERY undercooked (black and blue in some spots). At this point, I was very disappointed and didn't have enough time for a new order as we had a show to catch. I called the manager. She was very nice and apologetic. She took the steak off the bill. She sent us coffee and dessert on the house (a $25 value) ; which we planned on ordering anyway. Regardless of the forgetfulness on the server's part, and the inability to cook a steak to the right temperature, we still had a good time. I left feeling super underwhelmed though. If everything by had been prepared properly, we would have ended up spending over $200 for 2 people. You would think for that price, the restaurant would run better. I'll probably go back anyway, but I will not go in expecting to be blown away.

The place is beautiful & clean. The wait staff is attentive. They definitely have timing issues when it comes to the food. Dishes that were supposed to come together, came 15 mins apart. The couple next to us, had hot scallops & cold risotto. The couple next to us waited 15/20 mins for their dessert. We ordered ours 5 mins after them & got it & ate before they ever got theirs.
02 May 2020 1:26
We had 20 minutes to spare before our Broadway show so we thought we would grab a drink. We ordered an old fashioned which turned out to be the best old fashioned drink of ALL TIMES. I mean, I would consider myself a connoisseur of old fashioned drinks because it is my go to drink anywhere I go. So you can imagine how many times I have been dissapointed with my drink even in restaurant that are $$$$. Anyway, the drink was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere is pleasant. We are going to travel mountains and seas just to have this drink. Kidding, I live in NY.

25+ minute wait for two eggs, bacon, potatoes, one slice of toast, and coffee, for which the bill was $25. They forgot the bacon and, after I politely reminded the server, he just pulled some from the breakfast buffet. Food was average. I’ll eat a bit farther from Times Square next time!
24 April 2020 12:52
Absolutely terrible service. Was my 40th, I asked for a simple pancake breakfast and the pancakes took ages to come and were raw inside.
Shocking service and didn’t particularly care to rectify or comp any of the drinks as an apology.

Avoid like the plague.
23 April 2020 12:29
Horrible and unsafe food preparation. Food is all microwaved like the salmon which I was shocked at. I worked there and never dined there for a reason. Except during training where they force you to taste the food. I was not yet aware of the dirtiness and lack of care. Kitchens are dirty and food is made in the cheapest and unhealthiest way possible. I have seen them microwave a steak which was undercooked. I have seen them microwave fish which was undercooked and returned. It was a nightmare watching them prep and cook food. The kitchen will make you sick. I was offered a manager position after being there for 2 weeks. As you can imagine I ran for the hills. I would recommend trying Carmines or any other well known establishment in the area. I don't know how this place lasted so long. I wanted to post this to warn people. I am not a disgruntled employee as they might paint me. No, no issues working there. Just would never dine there. After leaving in felt compelled to tell people the truth. They also own Brooklyn Diner a few blocks away. Kitchen there is even dirtier as I did one day there as a floor manager. Stay away. Trust me.
17 April 2020 10:48
Food was good (not exceptional) prices were super inflated and portion sizes were tiny. Bread was good though!
15 April 2020 9:12
Happy hour only applies on the lower level, so if you're eating in the dining area you can't get it.
13 April 2020 22:53
This place is terrible. Waiters are extremely inattentive. Overpriced. If you come here I am so sorry.
11 April 2020 7:31
If you are hungry do not come here. The portions are very small. I had the branzino fish. I have never seen a smaller fish. The drinks are watered down.
11 April 2020 1:02
Amazing service and an amazing menu. You’ll always be satisfied coming here. I make it a point to come here every time I’m in NYC.
05 April 2020 6:56
This place was amazing! The food was splendid and the atmosphere was lovely. Attentive wait staff and stiff drinks from a to notch selection round it off.
03 April 2020 12:27
Wonderful place to have lunch before a show. A little pricey, excellent service. Food very good. Have Prix fixed lunch menus, reasonable
03 April 2020 6:04
This is a very busy and great place to eat before and after the show, it has a very nice atmosphere and service, two levels of enjoying your evening,
02 April 2020 0:51
Location, location, location is everything. It is in the theatre district. You can eat and go to the theatre across the street. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Very crowded and noisy and long waits for the bathroom.
01 April 2020 23:04
Food completely mediocre & priced like a 4-star restaurant. Branzino was ok but tiny. Chicken parm was overcooked. Chocolate mousse was gritty. Bad cappuccino. Desserts in insanely huge portions. Waiters were attentive, water glass regularly filled, good service.
29 March 2020 13:29
I ordered chicken parmigiana alla vodka, at 45 USD I was expecting a decent dish. It was extremely over cooked and tough. Dinner gone bad. On top of that the manager Julie whom greeted my wife and I seemed to frown upon us wanting to order take out. We were staying at the Edison Hotel where that restaurant is so we wanted to eat in our room. Bad overpriced food and miserable fake people.
27 March 2020 7:21
Made reservations the morning of and was able to get a later reservation which was fine with us but if your dining in the weekends I would suggest the day before. The staff was very attentive and we were immediately greeted. When we said we had reservations they referred to us by name instead of having to look us up. We were a few minutes early and asked if we would like to have a drink at the downstairs bar. We went downstairs and never left. The bartenders were great (Matt makes an incredible old fashioned) and friendly. The stuffed olives were very good and were surprisingly firm but loaded with flavor. We split a veal parmigian that we couldn't finish it was such a generous portion. Turns out they have a happy hour after 9 which put a very nice red for under 30 bucks. The bartenders incourged conversation among the patrons and we soon met several fun and interesting people from all over the world. I really can't say enough good things about this place.
23 March 2020 12:07
Wow. Late night snack and drinks on a Thursday night. Really late... Food looked really good, was fresh n tasty, drinks sexy and refreshing. Have to go back
23 March 2020 6:46
We ate here our first night in New York. We were all really jetlagged so the delay in seating us wasn't particularly welcome. However, once we were seated the service was good. Our food was very good. Great decor too.
22 March 2020 0:32
The lower level has good ambiance. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The food is nothing to write home about and it's over priced.
20 March 2020 20:43
When I used to work in the city, this was my go to place. The service is different and they now select when they want to do “7 days a week happy hour”. Probably won’t return when I come back and visit.
28 February 2020 7:39
Food was fine but nothing special. Service was also good. Far to expensive for what you get. You can get the same quality for less even in the general area.
10 February 2020 2:53
Comfortable deco decor, good service and location to theater with the only vegetarian antipasto menu section I've ever found (the eggplant parm and sauteed spinach are incredible).
07 February 2020 2:43
I was looking forward to a great night like I have had in the past at this restaurant. Sometimes a place has an off night so I hope that is what this was tonight. Service was lacking from our waitress - hardly saw her and we had to get her attention to get things.

My friend asked for upstairs because of friends who had canes. They sat us downstairs with the bathroom on the other side of the room and then the elevator didn't work so they had to climb the stairs. In the reservation request on Open Table she made a point to ask for upstairs because they eat out often in the city.

The food was good, but the service made it a sour night. I hope to try it again and hope they are back to the top of their game.
06 February 2020 21:37
Came very highly recommended but was a big disappointment. 2nd rate diner food at a Manhattan price. Service was fine but the food didn't even rise to average. The Veal was pounded paper thin and when it was served, my wife thought maybe they had put some sort of dressing on the greens. But it was grease. Cold grease at that. My wife's food wasn't any better.
It is Manhattan and there are lots of wonderful places to eat. This just isn't one of them.
06 July 2019 15:39
This was one of the worst meals I have ever had. For $100 for a simple fish, side and glass of wine, it was truly a rip-off. No taste, no style, no nothing. Just a bunch of grub. Don’t go.
15 June 2019 10:15
I thought this was a terrific restuarant; the welcome at the reception through to the servers was excellent. The food is terrific. The chef’s pasta special was awesome. And very reasonably priced. Great location for numerous theaters.

We’ve long been fans of Bond 45, originally at its 45th St.location. My husband even threw me a surprise party there! It’s a great place to bring anyone from vegetarians to carnivores; locals or visiting relatives. The ambiance is upscale but casual, and the price point is typical for the location and quality of service & food. We’d had a bumpy visit last time, not long after the move to the “new” 46th St.venue. But they did themselves proud last night! Our out-of-town guests were thrilled and are looking forward to going back! (As are we.) The whole party was pre-theater, and our server was very sensitive to our time constraints. My favorites are probably the crispy artichokes and the burrata, but it’s all good. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it!
17 May 2019 11:04
Food was absolutely lovely but felt it was pricy. Wine prices were very over the top - $32 for a half bottle! Service was good.
13 May 2019 23:45
Love it. Food was yummy! Atmosphere was wonderful. Best pasta I've had in a while. Drinks great. Wonderful place in the theater district.
12 May 2019 11:21
We’ve been a few times pre theater (see below review from last year) and it’s usually an enjoyable experience. Last nights dinner however was practically inedible. Way too much salt on everything, and I like my food well seasoned. The calamari was a bit too over cooked. My lasagna, which they are well known for, was very salty and way too much sauce. The noodles were swimming in it. Plus the “meatballs” were so poorly concocted, they couldn’t keep the meatball shape and sauce it was just soppy noodles in a lake of sauce with crumbled ground beef. My husbands chicken Milanese tasted as if the chicken cutlet was fried the day before. It was hard, and had that left over taste. Also incredibly salty. Service was great though.

Yummy go to when we’re seeing a show. The lasagna is out of this world good!

This was a nice find. We had gone to the Rum Bar and wanted a little bit of food and ended up here. We sat at the bar downstairs. The drinks were good, the food was delicious. I think I liked the fish more than the lobster, it was seasoned very well. I recommend giving it a try.
