Dillon's KC BBQ at Wildlife World Zoo

Overpriced for what we received. The server was nice but service was just okay. The aquarium was the best thing about the whole evening. We cannot recommend, nor will we return.

How fun to watch hammer heads swim in a giant tank while drinking cocktails and eating delicious food. You don't need to pay zoo admission if you are only eating at the restaurant.

Great service. Live entertainment. Good food. Great pour (drink). Definitely would recommend and I'll be going back.

Dillon's is a great experience even if you aren't there to go to the zoo or aquarium. The food is fantastic and serves are very friendly.

My SO and I wanna go back and try their burgers, we shared the nachos which was a lot of food but tasty. I wod suggest layers the nachos better however a lot of the chips had no cheese or toppings

Great BBQ and other choices. Quick, efficient service. Kids and adults alike love the aquarium.

The food here is good but they only had forks and we had to ask for knives. We bought dessert but they didn't have spoons. If you eat in the dining room you can watch the sharks swimming in the very large aquarium. Overall a great time.

Some of the best onion rings you'll ever have, my prime rib had a delicate smoky taste that really appealed to me.

Our server was awesome, she was so quick with drink refills, polite new her menu was able to offer recommendations. Food came out quick and hot, we sat in the deck great shade and atmosphere love the lady stamping hands. Great stop for lunch unique menu. Clean and seemingly following all covid expectations, masks are not required.

Food.took forever. The Angus burger was awesome (pro tip add blue cheese crumbles to it) chicken tenders felt like they were made in fish grease and def not enough breading.

Went to Dillon's after a visit to the zoo and had lunch. The food and service there was really good. The adults in our party all had burgers, which we all enjoyed. The children had the Mac and cheese off the kids menu which was also good.

Yikes! Had burnt ends, spare ribs, pulled pork and sliced brisket. This is not Kansas City barbecue. I could actually take a piece of sliced brisket twirl it around in the air and it never fall apart. Beans taste like chili, the mac and cheese was all right, Service was generic.

The meats had no smoke flavor and very bland which it would explain why they are soaked in barbecue sauce when served.

When I go back, will look for better barbecue elsewhere.

I love Dillon's because they have a ton of delicious gluten free options. I have Celiac and DH so I have to be very careful. I absolutely love their gluten free crustless cheesecake. The aquarium location at the Wildlife Zoo is so fun for kids and we enjoyed watching the sharks swim around while we ate.

After several previous very satisfactory meals, we were extremely disappointed with our recent visit. We took family from Germany and California for a celebratory reunion dinner. Our appetizers were cold, barely thawed. Ribs were dry, tacos and salad soggy, and mashed potatoes completely cold. Those were sent back, but the rest of us decided it was too much trouble to send back 8 meals.
Our server, Cassandra, was excellent. Friendly and very efficient.
The restaurant was not crowded, very few people in the main dining room. A very unhappy and expensive experience for our family.

Ate here while we were at the park. Very good food and service. WARNING! Big portions of food given. The fried mushrooms were oh so good, would highly recommend them

It was horrible I and my husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was so dry we could hardly eat it I had to take it home so I could add a liquid to it. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed with Dillons.

We went for a comedy show.the shark tank was awesome, the food sub par and really expensive for what you get. Drinks and service were great

Went after a day at the gym and decided to have some pork nachos and a margaritas pitcher. Food was good but the flies were horrible!

Great home made onion rings and a large selection from the menu. It's next to the zoo. Dillions has a large fish tank.

The place is very old and needs to be renovated. Since there aren’t many restaurants like it in the area it’s fine but I would not go back. Eat here is you would like to be served cold food. The onions rings are amazing though the only good item on the menu and that’s sad. Save your money.

This place was horrible! Flies everywhere inside the restaurant. Flies landing in our drinks and food. When we got our food it was cold!

Pulled pork was wonderful. The bbq sauce was sweet and hot and perfect. We enjoyed sitting by the aquarium and seeing the sharks.

My daughter wanted a “shark” birthday party so we celebrated at Dillon’s KC BBQ at the Wildlife World Zoo. She and her friends wore shark costumes and we decorated with a shark piñata, lots of balloons including a giant shark balloon, and a Happy Birthday Banner. We even brought our own “shark” paper plates and straws. The beautiful shark tank was the “icing on the cake” to make my daughter’s birthday celebration perfect!

Ahhh where to start. We were seated in the shark room area. There were mirrors on the wall behind us that were filthy. Obviously they had not been cleaned in a while. The food was another issue. I had a peach salad that had canned peaches on it. Seriously, if you don't have fresh peaches why is it on your menu? A wedge salad had a goopy Bleu cheese dressing drowning it and the chili tasted horrible not to mention a side of flies landing on our food. The coup de grace though was the mounds of dead flies around the outside entrance to the restaurant. The flies invaded our vehicle when leaving. We were swatting them all the way home. Needless to say, we won't be coming back.

Was not as impressed this time around. Service was slow, almost got someone else's meal and the food was ok but not great.

The food was really good. And some of the kitchen staff who brought it out was also good. But the girls in the front today were awful. Never came to ask if we wanted refills, we had to flag them down or go get them. Forgot food. Forgot sauces. Were rude. And our server, along with the girls at the register, rolled their eyes at us.
But like i said. Food was good. Sharks were beautiful to watch while we ate.

Terrible service. We stood in front of the hostess stand for several minutes waiting for someone to notice us. Eventually a manager came out of the office and found the hostess instead helping us himself. Apparently there were two of them hiding somewhere. We were then sat and ignored for several minutes, no one even came out to bring us water as would be expected of a place where an entree costs $20. Very disappointing, we were so looking forward a good place to eat after a hot day at the zoo. Don’t go here.

Excellent dinner tonight. My husband had prime rib, soo tender and very lean, and j had grilled salmon salad, was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend their food and service was great. Carrot cake was pretty good too.

Hard to go wrong with any of the Dillon's locations if you're in the mood for barbecue. Worked up a good appetite walking the whole zoo

My husband and I get the 3 meat platter. 2 pulled pork, one quarter chicken. We get potato salad as the sides and sweet heat for the sauce. We don't like their rolls and sometimes (pretty rare though) the potato salad is dry. Usually it is phenomenal though. We enjoy sitting outside with the flamingo s outside in fall and spring and with the sharks or alligator in summer or winter. The servers are always so nice.

Great shark tank in dining room, not great service. Pulled pork sandwich was probably the worst I've ever had.

Good food and casual place to enjoy with Family. Huge aquarium with Sharks too. Kiddos will stay entertained.

Excellent food, wonderful service. Had chicken and both beef and pork ribs. All 3 were very moist and flavorful. 2 choices of gravy for mashed potatoes.

The very first time I tried the food it was really good, decided to go back for more. Drove 1 hr.made a purchase for over $120.00 to get home to meat that taste sour. Was told all they could do is a free appetizer and a chip. Very disappointed and disgusted, will never eat from this place again.

Cool spot for family and kids. Giant shark tank inside and delicious BBQ. Combo plate with the sweet and spicy sauce was perfect.

The brisket and turkey was great. Very juicy and tender. The sauce was good with the brisket but not the turkey. The one down side of the was the smoke flavor. The smoke was very light. The beans were good. I had the mild sauce but drowned out the smoke flavor in the brisket. The service was just ok. Oh I forgot, that my daughter got the kids hotdogs and the bun fell apart. But will give it a 7 overall.

Awesome atmosphere with the fish tank inside. Food was pretty good and so were the drinks. Easy access from the zoo if your already there.

The food is always amazing. They were very crowded due to it being Father's Day. We tried to make reservations, but they said only for parties of 8 or more. The wait was not too bad, but once we were seated, the food took forever to come out. Our order got messed up, but they eventually got everything fixed. Cost wise, our total was 120 bucks, for 4 people. The atmosphere was relaxed. I posted a picture as well.

It was my 1st time and it was very disappointing. Everything came quickly but the food was cold. The baked potato would not even melt butter. The fries were cold and the brisket was cold. I did not send my plate back, I should have, but two people at my table asked for theirs to be heated.

Don't believe online menu prices they are a lot higher once you are in restaurant and they also have a hidden extra charge on your check server said was because of higher min wage. Service is minimal quality. The place is dirty and in bad need of updating.

Me and my family was today at the zoo with my 11 months old and my 3 years old. And then we decided to go eat to dillon’s K.c because my daughter love that place and love to see the aquarium My husband enter to the restaurant first, to get a table close to the aquarium, it was the first time in more then 1 year, we go eat to the restaurant. My husband ask the hostess for a table close to the aquarium and he explained her to he need to go back to the car to help me to get the kids, because I’m 9 month pregnant and she said yes and told him what table. I was in the car waiting with my kids for my husband. We come back to the restaurant. The lady told my husband we need to wait and she give our table to other persons. She was rude. I feel bad because it was the first time in that place to someone was rude with me and my family. We come back home.we don’t want to come back to tha place any more. We were humiliated!
