Came here about a week ago. While they have very good staples (brisket, pork belly, bulgogi) the space is outdated, old, dirty, and uncomfortable.
This place has a great reputation as being a solid KBBQ spot in VA, although I believe management is running this place into the ground.
The manager (it seemed) on staff kept looking at his watch 2.5 hours before closing and kept telling his employees (in Korean) to hurry us up. We weren’t only rushed to order within minutes of sitting down, but rushed every single time we started to eat our cooked food. We ordered drinks and extra sides, so we weren’t being cheap.
Service ruined it for us. Won’t be coming back. Go to breakers or Iron Age or honeypig.

I have come to this shop several times to enjoy, but last night made a few of our friends very angry, last night we were served by some Korean old women, not only the meat was not cooked for us to eat, the service attitude is very poor, will not go again in the future

Great place to eat, chill spot to have a meal with a few friends or a casual date. Big Portions of meat, staff is friendly and owner/manager are professional.

If you want delicious, no frills Korean bbq, this is the place to go. Pretty cheap and fast service.

I love this place! Me and my best friend always choose this place for kbbq! The service is amazing and I just can't express how much I love it here! The beef brisket is my favorite and their sauce is to die for. If I could give more stars I would!

Man in store told us they were closing. But restaraunt waiter was nice. After hour up plenty more golks came into eat. Waitress told us not to touch sides already on table if we weren’t going to eat them. First of all they were right in the middle of the table. Not sanitary. Wait til folks order then set them out. Waitress didn’t advise us ordering from menu. We should have left then. 1 hour before closing. All you can eat, soju fried dumplings. Dumplings tasty. Salad with spicey pepper dressing very good. Edamame good. Potato salad very good. Other sides good as well. Water refills scarce. Not too much assistance with low flame. Didn’t think flame was high enough. Place crowded, noisey that was ok. Not much assistance on cooking with low flame. Might go back early in day.

During lunch hour,
I ordered 대구매운탕 in Lunch menu. Rice was over cooked and not tasty at all. They used frozen Cod not very fresh.
After all, they charged me Dinner price! Is it their behavior try to cheat old person like me or just simple mistake? Although I paid tip to them even though their unacceptable hospitality.

Best Korean BBQ in the area. The salad and sesame sauce that comes free with the all you can eat option are amazing and can't find it anywhere else!

Drove 30 minutes with family because we saw the reviews we were met with terrible food. The tofu was spoiled and cold. The food flavorless. Don't trust the reviews if you know what good food is. There is much better Korean restaurants and this is not one of them.

Gave this place a try yesterday evening and was VERY pleased. It absolutely MADE my Sunday. I have passed it unknowingly thousands of times and never knew it was there. This is my new place. It's tucked away in a little corner and gives you the feeling of being in a forest. Very cute and cozy. I got the japchae and was impressed by how much beef was included. Other restaurants put about 3 small pieces in, but this was very hearty. It was enough for two meals, easily. It was very hot and fresh. Also got rice and kimchi, and both were fresh and delicious. I will be back. I got my food to go, but the place is very charming and I can't wait to dine inside. Also, the staff were very friendly to this clueless white girl. Thank you, and see you soon!

We had to grill our own food most of the time. The pork belly was on the fat side. The bbq sauce is very sweet. The side dishes were just salty.
Customers kept pouring in after 9pm on a Wednesday night, so it’s a popular place.

We called to ask until what time sit would be open: they said 11 pm. We arrive 10: 30 pm and they did not allow us. The worst is their actitud.

Pro tip- maximize you carnivorous food intake by limiting you carb intake.though the dumplings and pancakes are pretty darn special.like. I don't know like what but just trust me. Value to food = Excellent. And though the bathroom is dark. I'm pretty sure it was clean.enough. Also if you happen to not be Korean, you are still welcome with open arms! Only piece of advice.weirdly the potatoe salad wasn't so great.but the salad and dressing at the table when you arrive is tasty

Tucked into the back of a massive parking lot with a small, slightly hidden sign, this Oegadgib spot may not look like much, but it's incredible. While they specialize in KBBQ, their individual dishes are also phenomenal. My friend and I stopped by for a late lunch around 3 PM on a Saturday and were hankering for Korean food, but weren't quite ready for the heaviness of KBBQ (especially considering what a steal their all you can eat deal is). I ordered their soondubu jjigae, and he enjoyed their bibimbap, both of which were incredible. Their soondubu was slightly more watery than what I'm used to (as in the soup base seemed slightly thinner instead of being broth-based or having, say, a cornstarch slurry to make it thicker), but was still delightful. The stew was incredibly flavorful, and the bites of bibimbap that I stole from my friend's plate were also delicious. The one interesting piece about the bibimbap was that it came with a liquid on the side (the white bowl to the right of my friend in the photo) that seemed like a soup at first, but was actually a sauce. That made it way too salty to enjoy on its own, so that's something to look out for! Each of their banchan were also delightful and perfectly prepared. Highly recommend this spot if you're in Annandale and searching for a solid spot that'll provide you great standalone Korean dishes and KBBQ!

Place seems old and dirty also I had the squid and I love squid but this squid was just gross I've had better squid at hmart honestly for a lot cheaper. Definitely won't be back didn't enjoy at all barely ate my entree also gave me upset stomach

Great Korean bbq - AYCE. Better to reserve a table especially during the weekend dinner hours. Make sure everyone is present to get seated!

As many other have stated, it’s a mystery how this place has even decent ratings. I usually only leave positive reviews because I don’t think it’s worth my time to dwell on negative experiences.

There are better local restaurants that serve better quality barbecue, and even more that cook better ‘meals’. On neither fronts does this restaurant produce anything worth spending either your money or time in.

The overly sour and old kimchi they serve as a side dish, the quarter serving of rice per person. The soups that are simply flavored with ramen packets. Consecutive visits, all with terrible service.

Come here from DC every time I'm craving Korean bbq for over 5 years. Couple things that's different here than other Korean bbq is their sauce and they're the only place I found that gives the sweet rice wine I enjoyed from Korea

For a bill of $300+ without taking advantage of the 'All You Can Eat" deal, let's just say we won't be back anytime soon unless the service and marinated beef gets upgraded. Cheap beef so overuse of tenderizing ingredient made it mushy. Service was terrible as you had to ask for every single item, ie.refill of water, lettuce, garlic etc. Don't bother saying anything to the male waiter there - never brought our order; pretty much ignored us so, we had to ask another female waitress. Also, check your itemized bill as they charged us incorrectly. Never ordered the 'All You Can Eat' because our party only preferred beef so ordered mostly marinated beef & LA galbi. Plan on 2+ hours to enjoy any of the 'All You Can Eat' deal for $29.99 because they deliberately take their time in bringing out your meat so you get fed up with waiting. Maybe that's why they took forever with our beef because they thought we ordered the 'AYCE'. To top it off, they automatically added 20% gratuity on the bill when we were a party of 5. Wouldn't have minded giving that if the service was great but, it was just too awful. Plus, their sign specifically states that it is automatically added for parties of 6+.

Employees are very friendly. So the sauce includes sesame, no peanuts, and that's all they give. Help me ask them for more info. LOL

Food was okay, but the service was terrible. I usually don't leave reviews unless it's five stars, but this place made our meal experience horrible.

First, we barely sat down and the waiter asked us what we would like to eat. We were taken aback a bit and asked if we could see the menu first. He pointed at the small All You Can Eat menu on the table (WITH NO PRICE PER PERSON ON IT). So we order from that menu because he would not leave until we place our order (almost no time to discuss while he was hovering over us).

Then I notice soup/stews on the other table, ask the waiter what soups/stews they have. He asked which one I want, and I said I would be able to answer that if I knew what they have. He brings me the real menu that has all kinds of dishes, soups, appetizers, etc. Ok, so you DO have a menu. Okay. By this time, they already brought us the All You Can Eat meats and started grilling. We are still trying to review the full menu to see if we would like an appetizer first, a soup, but no, they are already grilling.

Then, I notice that the table next to us receive a soup and steamed egg with their meat. I ask our server about that as well (and don't I look and sound like a Karen at this point? !), he says "so you want it? " "Umm, does it come with the All You Can Eat items? " "yes, it's included" "okay then, yes, we do want it if it's INCLUDED and anything else that is included, but didn't receive. "

We ordered marinated pork and marinated beef (both tasted like paper). We were still working on our first meat round, they wanted to start grilling the second one. We asked them to give us a second to eat the first one or at least be half way done, so the meat doesn't get cold. Sure they said only to return literally in a minute and threw the second meat on the grill. So we ended up with two piles of grilled meat and tried to eat it fast before it got cold, and of course it did and we ate semi-warm pork and beef. So, unless you are trying to catch a bus and prefer to chew your food, this place is not for you!

And just to mention, that table next to us also had at least 4 different sauces to accompany their meat, we only had one, they also had more small dishes that come first, but at that point we didn't care anymore. Just wanted to finish our meal and leave to never come back.

We love Korean cuisine and dine at different Korean restaurants in our and surrounding areas almost weekly. And this place was the ONLY place where we felt unwelcomed or somehow not worthy of serving.

So good much better than kpot and iron age! Limited meat options but still delicious. Service was great made sure we were stocked on salad, rice, sauce and water every time, and good on checking up on meat. Good place definitely recommend and coming back!

A fabulous place and conveniently located off the Beltway. Came in on a Sunday afternoon with the family and the place was busy and lively! Everything was fresh, the sauce was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant. Be mindful of the time when you're eating because there can be customers waiting outside for an open table.

Came here with some friends and made reservations for a party of 8. It took about an extra 15-20 min from my reservation time to get seated, but the food there was overall very good. I was not a huge fan of the marinated pork I believe it was, but still enjoyed many other of the korean bbq meats. I could see us coming back here in the future!

This place is sooooo good. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is just immaculate. Also the dipping sauce is so good its addictive. Hidden gem for sure

It was delicious as usual. We went later than we normally do so it was packed. We got on the list and didn't have long to wait. Staff was friendly as always. Nothing but positive things to say about the place.

Annandale and Centerville are known for their korean BBQ spots but, I would not sleep on this location! Their sauce is amazing and their customer service is phenomenal. Their AYCE menu could have some more variety but it's fine as it is. Highly recommend to visit here just to try their salad and sauce.

Fast service, great experience and tasty food. Too bad the selection of non-pork meats is so limited. Would love to see more fish, chicken and beef on the menu.

Unfortunately this place doesn't allow just one person, even when they aren't busy at all. If you are solo I recommend going to Iron Age down the road which has a larger menu and is also all you can eat.

Customer service was excellent. Every staff member walking by your table would tend to your grill and check if you needed more of any meat, side dish, or beverage. The floor was a little slippery trying to walk to our table. The biggest problem, they don't take reservations and had an hour wait. It's worth waiting, but their parking lot is rather small and results in people parking illegally, making it difficult to get in and out of the parking area. If they took reservations, less people would be taking up parking just to wait for their table.

I went twice during the week, one time I was charged $25 for korean bbq the second time I was charged $35. The price increase doesn’t seem fair, especially since we were not notified nor was it posted anywhere. Feels like I was scammed.

Do not go here! They say they are open until 2 am but I got there at 10: 30 and they turned me alway saying that “the kitchen was closed oh well maybe try back tomorrow” I was so upset I just left how can you say your open until 2am but then the kitchen closes at 10: 30 that makes no sense. They lie and Are rude about it not caring if you are there or not

Arguably the best Korean BBQ even in Annandale, but definitely in the broader DMV. Highly recommend; don't go with a group during peak dining and expect not to wait, but worth it

For us, authenticity is important. This place has it in spades. The reason to return is it's home made maekolie.

Oegadgib is my go-to all-you-can-eat kbbq in Annandale, the brisket is amazing, steak is good too. The staff has gotten really good with the service, they're quick to come and bring more meat and sides.

Downsides are sometimes the heat gets set too high on the cooktop and the meat gets a bit burned, we just lower it a little bit once it's warmed up and it's fine for the rest of the meal.
The owner does tend to rush people out when there's a wait, it's understandable but off-putting. The staff is much better with customer service.

Hands down the best service we have ever received at a Korean BBQ. We never had to ask for anything, drinks, new burner plates, sides.

A small space with limited seating and we had to wait 30 minutes for our table, but the wait is definitely worth it. We got 4 servings of meat and it was so good and so filling. It also comes with free soup and egg. Just make sure to go during the day on weekdays so you catch a table.

This is my favorite Korean bbq place In the whole DMV area! Is so good if you want to try you definitely have to come here.

Thoroughly disappointed. The price was raised 3 months ago and they never updated their website. The lack of flavor for the meats was appalling. This is the first time that I have been thoroughly disappointed with food. To add insult to injury, the customer service was horrible.no customer service would have been preferred over horrible customer service. Grabbing the tongs from my friends hand, treating us like idiots when we had question regarding food, just horrible.

I would not recommend going there during busy hours. There were bigger tables in the back but our party of 6 were squished in the smaller booths with a random chair at the end, which stuck out in the walkway. It was incredibly uncomfortable for the chair person and since we were squished, we were basically next to strangers next to the opening of the plastic “protector”.

Service was abysmal and it was so difficult to flag down someone. When you’re a party of 6 with a 2 hour eating limit and a very slow-to-cook grill, it made it difficult to fill up everyone. The side dishes were okay but you can only have one soup and one egg regardless of how many people are in your party. It was also really loud with the music and since it was close quarters, it was difficult to hear each other. We tried to reserve beforehand but it was walk-in only. It’s a shame gratuity was added on automatically otherwise I would not leave 20% for the terrible experience.

Surely a place worth trying, the food is awesome and fresh, the cost is reasonable and it is regularly well kept here. Fantastic work.

I’ll start by saying that the food smelled excellent and looked great, but I did not stay to experience it. If you are still COVID conscious, this is not a place I would recommend. There is hardly any space to navigate and you are in very close proximity to other parties. To further add to the experience, they sat our fifth member in the main aisle, in the way of all the foot traffic. It was not worth staying for in my opinion, and I left.

Little bit small inside and drinks are not refilled but beside that it was great! Food was great! Loved the fact the owner is hands on with everything going on inside the business. Some owners are never at the place of business. Great overall experience not too expensive

Service was awful. The staff was rude, unprofessional and deceptive. The staff let us start the all you can eat option then 5 minutes later told us to put in final orders and that were closing at 11: 30 pm, not 2 am (the posted hours). When we asked to take the meat that was cooking to go, since there was not time for us to cook and eat the meat, we were told no. The staff let us start the all you can eat option knowing we would not be able to utilize it and were not willing to work with us even though we only had eaten 1 serving of meat. This is an unprofessional and predatory reasturant.

The best Korean BBQ that I have had in years! Their home made sauce that went with the meats was absolutely mind blowing.

Worst service ever! We had to ask for our drinks 4-5 times. It was my 2nd visit and I swear I am not coming back ever again! On my 1st visit, I experienced a very bad service too and just thought my server was no good. We got bbq then, and regular menu foods this time and I would say food was 2 out of 5

We had a great visit! Food was excellent-the sesame sauce is unreal delicious. They don't do reservations but we were there early (4: 30p on a Sunday) and we were seated right away. The all you can eat KBBQ is an excellent deal and we left full and happy. Place seemed super clean and staff was masked and attentive.

Excellent Korean BBQ in a quaint, hole in the wall setting. Delicious food and friendly service. Get the AYCE option.

This is the place you prepare for all week especially since you expect the meat sweats! The service is chaotic, but it is what you sign up for.

Ok so let's go brass tacks here. This is THE Koren BBQ place in annadale. Great service, they don't try to rush you, and their food is chef's kiss baby. Go to this place.

It's ok.the food was not that good.service was slow but responsive. I wouldn't go the second time.

Good service but food were ok.we didn’t do all you can eat meat and ordered short ribs, cold noodles and tofu soup.cold noodles wasn’t rinse well and the sauce was different.an older guy looks an owner gave us a check before I even asked for one. I don’t think I will return.

Really enjoyed this place.first time for me, but definitely will be returning again soon.

The best Korean BBQ in Annandale! Staff was great and always available. There is a 2 hour limit but the staff wasn't pushy. They want you to have a great experience and that is what we had! The kimchi reminded my mom of the local stuff they make in Hawaii. This is now my go to when it comes to Korean BBQ in Annandale and on top.of all this it is cheaper than every other one in Annandale! We drank Coronas and Hot Sake while joking with the staff. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

I bought the option A and it was a bit of a let-down. The service was lacking because we would have to wait a while (after 5-7 minutes) after every serving. The banchan was also lacking in terms of variety and flavor (didn't even get kimchi until we asked for it). It's alright if you want very basic all you can eat
