What a disappointment! This restaurant is no longer what it used to be, so I would recommend to stay clear of it. I've been a loyal customer here for over two decades.

Last Sunday, when we walked in, the place was dark and gloomy. The TVs were all turned off, and it felt even darker than some funeral homes with broken overhead lights. Couldn't help but notice the handwritten poster about extra charges for 'to-go' packaging plastered to the cash register, not the warmest of welcomes.

Despite having customers present, there were no ventilation hoods running over the tables. We ordered Karbi, duck, au gu jim, and Johnnie Walker for a party of six. Surprise. Everything came out fully cooked without any prior notice!

For a Korean barbecue experience, you expect the fire and the opportunity to cook your own meat to your liking. Unfortunately, we had to let that expectation go and simply chow down. The food quality was bad; the duck had clearly been sitting around for quite some time.

I understand that the economy is facing challenges, but this is a Korean barbecue restaurant. They should fire up the individual grills, brighten the place, and get the customers into the right 'groove'.

Our bill exceeded $400 before the mandatory tip. We didn't stay long.
I miss the old staff and the lively atmosphere this place used to have. As an American of Korean descent, it's goodbye to this restaurant for me.

It was my first time going even though I live in Virginia. The food was delicious, the owner kept an eye on me to make sure I didn't miss anything, and my first impression was so good that I think I'll keep going. I especially liked it because my wife said it was very delicious.

A casual family restaurant with good service and tasty traditional food. Menu was extensive for the size of the restaurant. The price was reasonable. I'd go back again.

I ordered Galbi dol-sot- bibimbap here, my favorite dish in most Korean restaurants. It was the worst dol-sot bibimbap I've ever had. There were practicaly no typical namuls (vegetables) you put in the bibimbap such as bean sprouts and spinach. There were only zucchini, several stands of carrots, and an over-abundance of onions. There was a good amount of galbi (meat), though. In addition, rice was very soggy and did not crisp in the hot pot. I was hungry, so I finished the meal, but did not feel satisfied at all as I usually do after having this dish. It was a big mistake to order this dish here.

They provided zero service besides giving us our food. No courtesy, no check ins, nor did they give us much time to even order. And when my friend paid the bill they pressured him into tipping more. I get that tips help but pressuring someone into paying more than they are willing deserves a single star in my book.

OKAY so there was a waitress there but I think the owner is the one who served us and also brought us the drinks the waitress only refilled our drink and we had to ask for refills they were not very attentive. The kimchi had a very nasty flavor like it was in the freezer too long. Everything else was delicious. BUT I'm giving them 1 star because at the end we were heckled about the tip. We had to ask for refills, had to ask for napkins, had to ask for fork and straws. We gave a $10 tip and she was like no $30? I was like excuse me? Lady u can not treat ur customers that way. Terrible experience and very embarrassing. DO NOT EAT HERE THEY DONT DESERVE THE BUSINESS.

I had been here a couple of times for dinner, always delicious. I was surprised they open until 2 am. We came here at 12am. Very good service, price is reasonable, food is so incredibly good.
This will be a night owl's favorite place.

It's been a long time since I ate from this place. I tried it yesterday with my sis. Food was ok and service was ok. Definitely has changed and I'm suprised they're still open. Most of all the restaurants gotten lazy and short cuts. This is not the best KBBQ place!

Their Food is great and reasonable price. But one of waitress, she has short cut and tall. Looks like around 40 early or middle.
She is really rude. She never contacted my eyes also she threw my bill tray on the table.
I paid 20 percent tip.
But I wasn’t so mad and unhappy at that time cause of her.
The owner has to be fire her asap.
Mostly customers saw her negative attitude and aggressive her behavior.

There were worm-like bugs in the radish kimchi, and after I pointed in it out to the auntie in the store, she gave me a dirty look and took the dish away. No words of sympathy nor any actions being taken, she didn’t even offer to bring back a new plate of radish. Meanwhile they greet Korean speaking costumers as if we ate here for free. I’d truly be ashamed if I were the owner of the store.

My favorite Korean restaurant in Annandale, and quite possibly, the entire DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. The spot is small and quaint, with Korean music playing in the background and TV screen. Not many seats, but enough to be comfortable.

You're served with traditional side dishes (banchan) and your choice of beverage (usually tea). You're also served with a small soup (kogiguk) before receiving your main dish within minutes.

My go to is the Dolsot Bibimbap (Korean Stone Pot Rice Bowl) served with traditional, spicy sauce to slather onto your rice, veggie, egg, and meat mixture. Their fried mandu (dumplings) are delicious and you will likely eat more than you should. It also goes without saying that you cannot speak of Korean cuisine without mentioning their Kimchi - tangy fermentation, spicy, pickley, delicious. Does your microbe right.

Do I recommend this place? Absolutely. Do I want you to go? Yes and no. I want seating when I go and if you're all there, I won't enjoy waiting for you to finish.

We ordered double order of pork ribs. The portion seemed rather small for a double order. The owner assured us the portion is correct. Hmm! I understand the cost of food has gone up. The price is similar to that of other Korean bbq restaurants but much smaller portion.
Normally, at other Korean bbq restaurants, the meat is cooked at the table. Here the meat was cooked in the kitchen and brought out only to be kept warm on the burner. They will serve the meat on a huge pile of onion so the order looks big. Overall taste and quality of food was good. Kimchi was especially good. I'll be willing to go back to this restaurant only if someone else was buying, but I'll not spend my money at this restaurant.

Loved the food and service. We had fried dumplings for appetizers. I had the spicy pork and the kids had galbi soup. They're a bit pricey compared to similar restaurants around. Overall good experience and will go back.

I go to this marvelous place every couple of days since I like the special atmosphere that is part of this place. The staff is exceptionally friendly and skilfull. The service is remarkablywonderfully fast. Needless to say, the food they serve is great. I visited often and I was never disappointed. The pay is honest. I highly recommend this restaurant to to everybody.

Food is ok and very expensive. Most Korean BBQ places give you free dwenjang soup with 2 orders this place gives you a cheap bean sprout soup. They also cook the meat in the back.

We ordered marinated pork that was cook from inside the kitchen and was way to dry. I don't think they had the AC running just ceiling fan. Place use to be better.

Don't get Tofu Kimchi Stew. It wasn’t worth $33. Chicken feet were not good either. My husband liked Spicy pork bbq. They don’t turn on the exhaust fans when barbequing on tables unless you tell them the place smells strong.
