We went in to get some food and got had champagne in our cart.l'm under 21, my dad's Dominican, and my mom is white. I'm very light skinned. I went in with my mom 4 days earlier, and then we also bought alcohol and didn't ask for any ID. Today I went with my whole family but my dad was the one paying they say we need everyone in the party ID, and I obviously don't have ID because I'm under 18 they say it's "Vermont state law" which isn't true we go into plenty of other grocery stores and they have never said anything. My father was racially profiled by this store and the people working in it. Even if I had ID and I was under 21, are they not gonna sell it to us OR was it to make sure I'm his kid because "I'm too white to be his kid". There was a woman before us who had a kid and was white, and they didn't card at all with her at all.

The newly renovated PC is modern and clean (read: dark colors, cave-like).
There are NO hand baskets. Even if all you want is a couple of frozen things, you have to either carry them in your hands or get a mini-cart and maneuver that around. And all the carts are outside, so if you discover you need a cart you have to leave your items to go get one, instead of swiping a basket from a checkout lane.
The dairy has been moved and while the rest of the aisles feel roomier, it's hard to find things because you can't get far enough away to see more than what's right next to you.
The self-checkout is difficult to navigate. You cannot bag your groceries in your own bags without an override. The machine wants you to scan it, thinking you are trying to steal something. You cannot scan your card if it's on your phone, you need the attendant. And there are six registers, but it is somehow too few for the customers and too many for the attendants. You are better off using an actual person, who may actually help you bag.
It looks clean and modern, and the baked goods aren't hidden anymore, but it feels like they painted over a problematic structure.

Price chopper is great but they help no one. I have a room at this motel that has mold and no ones done anything to help

Excellent availability of Dairy Milk Subsistutes (Soy), Hummus, Kefir, Yogurt, Fruits & Vegetables. Where relevant, verify Quality, and be careful about filling your Cart with products offering longest Shelf-life, from those where multiple dates are on display.

Great prices and every purchase adds up fast to earn points/rewards. My only complaint is that they don't restock fast enough on certain items.

Price Choppers an awesome place as long as you go to the small Price Chopper in West Rutland the big ones too crazy

Good selection and good prices. But seriously you can skip the tiny deli sandwiches. For $6 you can do better at an actual deli. Everything else is pretty good and the people are very friendly and helpful.

A huge selection and there's always plenty of registers open and a state of the art self checkout to really speed things up for those that are in a hurry

Need to keep shelfs stocked more, constantly have to find a worker to get something outback cuz they don't stay on top of stocking shelf. You see the worst of the worst Rutland has to offer in this store. Food is good.

This place has not restocked stuff in over a month the juice aisle with the gatorade has basically been empty for over a month! I don't get it and places need to stop using covid as an excuse! Other places have no problem keeping things in the aisles they shouldn't either. The meat selection hasn't been good either last few times I've been in they've had nothing to choose from, barely anything there. I stopped buying certain fruits and vegetables because going through them trying to find the best ones I notice there is mold on most. They need to pay better attention and put out good fruits and vegetables not ones with mold all over them, no one wants to buy that.

My local price chopper. Been coming here since I was a kid. Produce selection is large and not full of bad produce. My wife and I enjoy the sushi selection. Though some days it's not very fresh but you can't expect much from grocery store sushi. The guys behind the meat counter are always helpful. They have a good selection or grab and go deli meats which saves time vs waiting at the deli counter. The in-store hot food is also good for a quick meal.

I have been shopping here for about 25 years and will continue to do so for the next 25 years, if I live to be an octogenarian. I've seen many changes, but the one thing that hasn't changed is their consistency in both products and quality of their service.

Decent grocery store / pharmacy. Food/drink Selection is good. Everything is well organized, stocked and labelled. Very easy to navigate through the store when you are looking for specific items. The staff are quick and friendly. The pharmacy is quick and friendly as well. The store is well kept, sometimes needs a mopping but that is to be expected with high traffic stores. Also their prices are cheap and fair, a few items you may find at walmart next door for cheaper but I think it's worth it to shop here instead of going to multiple stores wasting gas to chase down a single item for a few cents off. The days to avoid are obviously the 1st of each month, holidays and a few days leading up to holidays as well. I recommend shopping early in the morning or very late at night. Now the people they serve here are obviously from rutland, most people of rutland are trashy but let's keep in mind that it is not price choppers fault.

I purchased 2 birthday cakes for my children’s birthdays. After placing the order I received a call that they didn’t have enough of the supplies to do both as they were the eatable pictures. They stated they could do a different Pokémon one with an action figure on the top and then they would have enough to do the LOL one, I told them that was fine. When I picked them up you could only see a little bit of the cake as they were in brown paper boxes with just a little plastic cutout and then taped closed with the scan code to pay. I did notice that the Pokémon one was the original one I ordered and I was happy they were able to do both. I didn’t open the boxes as they were sealed closed and I never had an issue before. When I got home I opened them to show the kids and noticed the both pictures had bubbles throughout the cake, I was upset but the kids really wanted the cakes and there was no time to have another one made. I placed them both on the counter, in my air conditioned home, and then brought them out for the party. When I opened them again for the party (only 1.5 hours later) there was triple the amount of bubbles. I gave the cakes a 2 star because they kids still ate them and they were not bad, not the best we ever had from there but they were eatable. I’m just bummed that I paid quite a bit of money for cakes that looked they way they did (pictures included)

I love Price Chopper great set of ladies and Some Gentlemen. However if a can falls of the shelf because of poor placement. Do not tell the tell skinny guy nothing, cause he will make you feel like your a whimper and "Oh it doesn't hurt that bad does it". He also interrogate you.

Found everything on my list in an unfamiliar store. Need to have a PC card, check for coupons near the door. Best thing: you can purchase bagels individually.

I am not sure if anyone keeps an eye on the donuts in the bakery, But those donuts in the cabinet has flies all over them and inside the containers the donuts are in, Plus the bakery made cinnamon rolls are still raw on the inside

One of the biggest grocery stores in Rutland county and you can find most of the stuff that you need. Prices is higher than Hannaford's and produce quality is not always the best.

It'll be better when we don't have to pay attention to one ways cuz no one follows them anyway.

This store has a lot of hard to find things. The store is always clean and associates are friendly. I don't like where it is and the parking lot is kinda nuts at times.

All was going fine and well until the alleged manager by the name of Paul started in with scrutinizing our appearance. He proceeded to follow us around the store and cuss my friend and I under his breath. Tho we maintained our composure I really wanted to throttle him n a fashion that would remove his teeth. But being the upstanding citizen that we are, we stayed level headed and ignored the blatant bullying from this power hungry lunatic.

Price chopper should be ashamed of his actions and demeanor.

I have never been treated so poorly as I was today by Paul the store manager at the Rutland location I was cussed out and embarrassed in front of other customers for not wearing a face mask even after I explained that I had health issues and just had knee surgery which the prescribed medicine give me shortness of breath as it is he followed me around after the incident cussing me out under his breath and then told my friend who I had with me to help me carry the groceries out to my vehicle that he had to leave leaving me to attempt to carry my things while injured. I am super dissatisfied with how Paul handled this situation and Rutland pricechopper should not allow someone who has no humanity or understanding to treat customers with such disrespect
