Home Remedy Houston recently completed several projects for us (new floor on bottom level, 1/2 bath, painting, crown molding and our small outdoor patio area). We could not be more pleased with their work and Mike and his team were so easy to work with. We would highly recommend Home Remedy and will be using them again.

Mikey was quick to come in estimate the time and cost. Extremely professional made sure the project was done on time and to our satisfaction. We've used Home Remedy for about 10 years now and have always been very happy with their services, responsiveness, quality of work and even when there have been issues post remodel they have always worked through them with us fairly and to our complete satisfaction. We normally interact through Revis who is a project manager and have always found him to be personable and accommodating. We've had everything from simple painting and drywall repair done up to a complete home refacing on a 3-story home (from stucco to Hardie board) and many things in-between (bathroom remodels, kitchen cabinet painting, closet installations and the complete replacement of a back deck) We would highly recommend Home Remedy for any home projects you don't want to tackle yourself!

From the very beginning Mikey and his crew performed an amazing job. Their attention to detail was not only apparent to me but my neighbors as well. I have heard stories of the construction leader re-doing issues that were not up to the company standards. It is a greater measure of someone’s professionalism when they address issues properly when they are unaware of being watched. We have happily been enjoying the back patio nearly every day since it’s completion. The bottom line is; this is the company you want to work with if you want a high quality project completed on time and on budget.

Home Remedy was fantastic to work with. Mikey is professional, responsive, super helpful, and all the work in my home was completed in the expected timeline even though I kept adding more to the list! The team painted doors, interior walls, repaired an attic door, completely remodeled my bathroom, replaced ceiling fans, patched and painted drywall, installed light fixtures - the list goes on. All their work was wonderfully done and the crew was great and super professional. Will absolutely use Home Remedy for future projects!

Mickey and his people did an amazing job helping us turn an unused room in our house into a fantastic playroom! They previously helped me with several other jobs at my old house too so the quality of work and value was no surprise!

Dennis and team did an amazing job remodeling my kitchen/living room to open up the space and add a home office. They worked with me to get the design just right. They were prompt, on time and on budget and produced a result I'm thrilled with. They have great attention to detail and are diligent about cleaning up every day. I'll definitely be using them again.

I converted a walk-in closet into a recording booth and had Home Remedy install some soundproofing material and an additional layer of drywall. They also hung a solid-core door, installed an electrical outlet and trim then painted everything to match. They weren't the cheapest but I was won over not only their professionalism but also by their engagement. During the initial walkthrough, as I was describing the project, Mikey immediately saw my vision and made some excellent recommendations to really tie things together. They started the very next day and the crew was on-time, courteous and made every effort to keep things as clean as possible. The job was completed quickly and I couldn't be happier.

Our home was built in the 50s using what is now outdated cedar wood paneling. We had several contractors stop by, look at it, and say that they wouldn't know where to even find it.

Dennis from Home Remedy showed up and immediately knew what to do. He wasn't pushy about getting the project and we actually took a year before we decided to finally replace a few planks.

The Remedy team was quick and did a great job after several contractors didn't even know where to start with the old siding.

Ultimately, it turned out great. 10/10, and we'll be calling Dennis and Home Remedy again for future projects.

In February 2022, Home Remedy installed a 48" bathtub for us in a bathroom in our house that was a bit of an unconventional design. The home we'd purchased in 2019 had walk-in type showers in both bathrooms. The idea was for this shorter bathtub (standard is 60") that I had obtained to fit in to the walk-in shower space without causing us to have to make other significant changes in the bathroom (i.e. Rotating the toilet, moving the vanity, etc.). It was a concept that I presented to Mike on the initial visit. He sent me a very reasonable estimate, I approved it, and they proceeded to turn the dream in to a reality. The bathtub also has the ability to be used as a shower with an overhead shower arm. Additionally, they installed a new sink vanity and a new toilet that I had purchased along with some other necessary modifications. The project was completed within an acceptable timeframe and the communication was always fantastic. At the end of the day, I am happy with how it turned out. Our toddler loves her new tub! I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to recommend Home Remedy for similar type projects to friends or family.

This company is EXCELLENT. I am a landlord and whenever I need repairs, Home Remedy is the company I go to for help. I could not be happier with the services that Home Remedy and Mikey has provided me for the past few years I've been working with them. They are always on time, work area is protected well, quality of work is excellent and they leave the worksite very clean after all the repairs are finished. This company is highly recommended and I will always be their repeat customer!

This company is FANTASTIC! I have used them multiple times, and yet can't say enough good things about them. Mikey has always been great about coming out ASAP and helping resolve issues I have in my home. The company is so versatile. One of the guys they sent out to fix the water damage by our shower and install the nightmare baby gate we had (Shout out to Jeff!) was wonderful. I used Home Remedy for some repairs in my home in 2019 and was very happy with their work. When I had damage to my home from this year's winter storm I did not hesitate to call them again. Dennis is great to work with. He's very responsive and professional. The men who did the work both times were very professional, showed up on time and did a great job - and they were all so polite. I will definitely call Home Remedy again for future projects!

I worked with Dennis, Marco and his team to fix my sidewalls and plumbing issues due to the Texas Winter Storm. Dennis was extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and honest through the entire process. I will use them for any general contractor needs moving forward. Truly an all-in-one service!

Home Remedy did a great job on my master bathroom remodel from start to finish. No guess work, very responsive, helped me through my questions and concerns. Home Remedy recently remodeled our patio and opened up our home by adding french doors to our back wall. They far exceeded our expectations. The work was of the highest quality, Mikey provided constant updates, everyone was very professional, and in areas where we needed assistance deciding which route to take Mikey provided great advice to get the most out of our remodel. We highly recommend Home Remedy for any remodeling projects and we plan to use them again for our next remodeling project.

Home Remedy did a great job restoring my sister's home after Hurricane Harvey, so I hired them to create an external exhaust for my stove. Marco did a great job, was receptive to my design input, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end.

We recently asked Home Remedy to completely redo our master bathroom and we were so pleased with the result. Home Remedy kept its word on pricing, which was very reasonable, and also kept to the schedule. Mikey Crigley did a fantastic job managing the project and we never had any problems reaching him with questions, great communications. We give Home Remedy 5 stars and will definitely call them again.

I have used Home Remedy three times now and highly recommend them. They are professional, no drama, and easy to work with. The project manager all three times was Mikey, who is very easy to reach, quick to respond, and is patient talking through all of the things I was considering doing. Their crews are very neat and clean up after themselves, leaving behind no trace of construction. All three times they finished on the promised timeline and at the agreed price.

My first time using them was to rebuild a portion of a patio that had rotted and caused a leak into the garage below it. I was out of town and left them a garage door opener. They let themselves in and just took care of it — no drama or trouble. I came back into town and it looked great.

Second time was to fix a bunch of miscellaneous items identified in a home inspection when buying a new house. Like before, I was out of town and gave them access to the house. Once I came back, all work was done with no drama.

The third project was a kitchen remodel including cabinet modification, new countertop, and new sink / faucet / garbage disposal / dishwasher. Work started on a Monday and they were done by Friday. Once finished, they carefully checked for any paint overspray or defects and took all their trash with them, and we are very happy with our new kitchen.

If you’re looking for a NO DRAMA quality contractor, I would highly recommend Home Remedy.

This review is long overdue! Mikey and his team were my rescue team! They came in and took my bathroom down to the studs for a full remodel. They work efficiently and are very trustworthy. A lot of the time they were working without any supervision. They were great at communicating with me and letting me know any issues that were found. I was so impressed that I recently had my master bathroom totally remodeled by them as well. Thank you Home Remedy for an amazing job! I will definitely be using you guys in the future as well.

Words are insufficient to describe how wonderful EVERY project turns out with Home Remedy. My contractor, Dennis Chernov, and his workers (e.g, Marcos, the painter) are always on time, on budget, and delightful to worth with. Even better, the craftsmanship of their work will please those with the highest of standards (I fall into this category.) Quality is never sacrificed in order to get a job done or meet a budget. They have integrity and take pride in their work, and it shows.

Even when glitches occur (e.g, the wrong flooring being delivered) Home Remedy makes it right - all without "attitude" and always with a willingness to deliver the highest level of customer service. "The customer is always right, " is an attitude they seem to live by. If, after a job, I've noticed that some things needed "fixing, " they've come out promptly and corrected whatever needed correcting.

Once, when I envisioned a latex paint on the trim inside my home and they had painted enamel (a VERY hard "fix" to do, as the woodwork needs to be re-sanded before latex can be applied), Marcos the painter said, "Whatever you want, we will do. "

I went back and forth two or three times, and each time Marcos had to change course. This could NOT have been fun (or time- or financially efficient), but Marcos responded so kindly and cordially each time. As he once told me, "Home Remedy is not the cheapest, but we are the best. " This is so true. You get what you pay for with Home Remedy - and more!

Moreover, in my experience, "disruptions" to projects, such as the wrong product being sent in or something unexpected popping up, add very little time, if any, to the scheduled completion time. A day or two maybe - if that. That's because the Home Remedy's team works hard to get the job done. They show up on time, as scheduled, and work their tails off until quitting time, at which point they clean up their mess impeccably.

This level of organization and efficiency with Home Remedy comes down to exceptional project management. That's what you get with Dennis Chernov. The level of quality comes down to a knowledge of how to do things correctly and to an unwillingness to compromise those standards. Again, that's what you get with Dennis Chernov and Home Remedy.

I have done various projects through Dennis Chernov and Home Remedy, among which are (1.) a garage apartment kitchen redo, (2.) a garage apartment bathroom redo, (3.) interior painting of a garage apartment, (4.) two interior paint jobs for my main home (including sheetrock), and (5.) fixes in my bathroom due to a previous contractor who had done a botched job. Every time, it's done to perfection.

In fact, every time I've worked with Home Remedy, I've found myself wondering, "What's another project we can do? " It's THAT enjoyable and the results are always so beautiful. When has anyone ever said that about working with a contractor? And yet, that's the norm with this team in my experience.

I've gone through other contractors (with dismal results) but have finally landed on perfection and an absolutely enjoyable experience every time with the Home Remedy team. I bet you'll find the same.

I decided to choose Home Remedy out of 3 other companies because they seemed the most knowledgeable. I wanted a new updated ceiling with lights for my patio, new posts, and new outdoor tile. They gave me an estimate of $2,300 for just the new beam and batten ceiling with caulk and paint. It was about 200 sq ft of ceiling. Fast forward to when they were doing the work, they re-used the old ceiling and all they did was add some trim. For that price, I was expecting a new ceiling. I brought this up to Mike, of course he was upset BUT did take off $600 off the price. The end product did look much nicer, but for just some trim and paint, I believe I overpaid. At the end, he tagged on extra charge for material without telling me first, and when I called about it he was very angry and very rude. He said if he needed more material he would tag it onto the end but I was unaware the materials I bought were not sufficient. I was hoping to find someone to do other work but after Mike got very angry I will not be contacting him for future projects. Overall the end result is good, but I still believe I have overpaid and do not like the aggressive attitude. On a good note, he did answer all my calls and messages, he did take off $600 and accommodated a request not originally on estimate. 1 star because I had to call to get the remaining boxes of tile, I'm not sure why they had my extra tile and hadn't left it at my property. They also stole my brick I had there by the work area.

These guys did a great job of fixing a botched wall removal by another “contractor” who had removed a wall and not added the proper support which ended up causing sagging and major concerns for me about structural damage to my home. Mike and his team worked quick to remedy the issue and added a power beam and re-routed some electrical for a reasonable price. Thank you home remedy for correcting quickly to avoid even more costly repairs down the road!

Home Remedies did a beautiful job on our totally renovated master bath. Their work was professional, timely, and fairly priced.very easy to work with. I give them my strongest recommendation.

We hired Home Remedy several years ago for two bathroom remodels, recarpeting, painting, and installation of a new composite deck. A few other small projects. We had several problems throughout the project with quality- inconsistent spacing with tiles; crown molding installed upside down in half the room; wrong paint colors. Mike was always very responsive to emails and calls and would fix it right away. But there was something wrong literally every day. After noticing problems with the bathroom tile he said he’d “bring in a new guy” for the other bathroom. This person did a terrific job- but why the lack of consistency in quality? The worst was our deck- within a year of installation boards were popping up and warping. To his credit, Mike came back to rebuild it. Today we had to rip it all up again because it was sinking and warping. Come to realize that not only had the supporting structure for the deck been spaced far too wide, they used NON-treated wood and it was completely rotted out. Only 5 years old. Total waste of money. Finally, we had to tear out some bathroom tile work after a plumbing leak and discovered that the shower pan and lining were not up to code/standard. So frustrating. Can not recommend.

Edited to add: I’ve seen the response from the company. I’ll only add that it doesn’t address the specific workmanship problems in any meaningful way.

Things went really well. The workers were tidy and Mike worked with us on various concerns and questions we had along the way. Not only was the work done well, but Mike advised us on several smaller DIY projects that we were taking on. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive during and after the project.

We wanted to replace all the windows and french doors and 2 outside doors. It was not an easy project as one of the windows is a bay window whose frame was out of alignment due to it being a 40 year old building. Revis was the project manager and he did an outstanding job for us. We ended up using his recommendation on the supplier for all the doors and windows and it was just what we wanted. He also drove across town to find the right interior moulding to match the existing design. Baldo and his crew did a great job on the install and cleared up each day before they left. Will be calling them again when needed.

What was supposed to be a two week bathroom remodel resulted in a six week terrible experience with a different contractor. We got in touch with Home Remedy and from start to finish they kept us informed and over delivered. All crews were professional and very curtious. All details were addressed and the end result was more than we could have wished for.

Mikey and his team remodeled our home, pretty much rebuilt it; plumbing, electric, foundation, windows.u get the picture. They started in Feb and finished June, which was right on track with what Mikey had told us.
There was no unanswered text or question.
We've now been living in the renovated house for over 3 months and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend using Home Remedy to anyone needing any home repairs or remodeling. I would most definately use them again.
