Going to any doctor is something that I normally do not look forward to. At Shelby dental that they work hard to make going to the dentist as pleasant as possible.
Everyone there is very
pleasant, professional and skilled.

These folks are awesome! Dr Shelby Blaylock is so kind, caring & professional! She does great restorative work & is on top of the latest procedures. The office is so comfortable & beautiful! Taylor is a wonderful hygienist & does an awesome job cleaning my teeth & checking for any problems. She’s so cute & friendly. & Ms Dana - office manager! She is also awesome at scheduling convenient appointments & making sure insurance is properly filed & followed up! It’s so refreshing to call a dental office & be able to actually talk with a friendly, helpful person like Dana, who can set you up to resolve your teeth problem.my husband, Dr. Weber Manning, & I, highly recommend Shelby Dental! Always receive professional courteous service from everyone. Was shocked everyone was at work when I arrived for my 10: 00 appointment. All the roads were covered in ice. That is dedication.

I stumbled across Shelby Dental while researching another dental office close by my house. Shelby Dental had such great reviews that I decided to drive the 25 minutes to try it out, and wow I’m so glad that I did!

When making my appointment over the phone, I had asked the receptionist if I could bring my 6 week old baby with me to which she said “of course! ” I did not realize that once I was in the chair and he started crying that she would pick him up for me, and bounce him back to sleep while I got my teeth cleaned! I was a little worried that they might get annoyed with me bringing him, but that couldn’t have been farther from the truth!

Chelsea, my dental hygienist, was amazing! She didn’t lecture me about not getting my teeth cleaned in the last two years. I mean life happened and I just hadn’t made it a priority. Instead she made me feel comfortable, and was very gentle. I didn’t have any gum discomfort or pain after she was done!

Dr. Blaylock was equally as terrific! She is very personable and made me feel like we were old friends. I mentioned that my teeth were looking yellow, and asked for recommendations on whitening systems. She gave a few recommendations, but also gave me a toothpaste whitening set for free and told me to try it out! Then when I came back the next week to get three cavities filled, she was able to get me in and out in less than an hour while my baby slept in his stroller next to me. I don’t know any other dental office that would’ve been as welcoming and accommodating!

The moment you walk in the building, office staff will take care of you in a very professional way. Dr. Blaylock will listen you with great patience and will provide several options for the treatment. All expenses will be communicated before the start of dental procedure. I will definitely recommend her to my friends for dental treatment. Love it!

My teeth are well taken care of, but better yet- the team at Shelby Dental is calm, friendly, and informative. Dental care has been stressful for me in the past, but this office is full of wonderful people who are there to help.

Okay, wow. DENTAL HEAVEN! I found this dentist through my insurance and reviews. I will be frank-I was apprehensive at how great the reviews were (how amazing can a dentist be, right? !). However, they are totally merited! Chelsey is a phenomenal dental hygienist, and gave me the best care and cleaning I've ever had-I am not exaggerating. Then, Dr. Blaylock came in and was just as spectacular. I've always loathed the dentist and have been a very irregular patient with other places, but not anymore. I have found THE dentist of all dentist offices! If you hate going to the dentist-try Shelby Dental. Also, the remodel is so esthetically pleasing and comfortable, it sets you at ease right away. Highly recommend!

Shelby Dental is caring and professional. The office is updated, clean and sanitized. My appointment was on time, painless and relaxed. Dr. Blaylock came in quickly once I was ready for her exam. To sum it up: Excellent Dentist, staff and facility.

The dentist is probably not a favorite place for anyone to visit, but that totally changes at Shelby Dental! The calming, quite, peaceful environment begins to relax you as soon as you walk in the door. Dr Blalock is so friendly and makes you feel at ease. Chelsey is the dental hygienist and is absolutely beyond word perfect! I had neglected my dental hygiene for about 3 years and she was so kind and encouraging! She made me want to come back and see her in 6 months with shiny white teeth that I had spent hours a day caring for! I just cannot say how AWESOME this practice is. Need a new dentist? I am so very happy I discovered Shelby Dental. Absolutely the best dental experience I have ever had. I called that morning, told them I was in pain and she got me in that afternoon. Dr. Blaylock was very pleasant, friendly, and took the time to explain what was wrong and how she was gonna take my pain away! She went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable. While she did her work, I never felt a thing. The entire staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Everyone there made me feel very good about my choice to go there.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Blaylock and her staff, especially Dana at the front desk. Dr. Blaylock goes out of her way to explain the reasons for the procedures you need, and the front desk is great about getting quotes with your insurance while you wait (something that I've found to be an issue at other area dentists). Shelby Dental is also far more reasonably priced; I have implant insurance, but their price before insurance was less than I was recently quoted with the insurance at my previous dentist downtown. All around, great dentist practice to choose.

At 53 years old, I've been to my share of dentists. I have never felt more comfortable, been greeted with such grace & thoughtfulness! The staff is amazing, and Dr. Blaylock is, by far, the best dentist I've ever been to. Painless, she doesn't try to have a full on conversation while working on you; y'all know 'those' dentists. She asked if I was okay, and encouraged me to raise my hand if I was uncomfortable. I'd give Shelby Dental 10 stars if that was an option. Go see these amazing people!

Absolutely love Dr. Blaylock and her staff! I love her so much that I drive an extra 25 mins to see her at her new office. She used to be 5 mins from my house. I’ve never met a dentist that actually listens to my concerns. She really takes her time and doesn’t have half do her job! I can tell she loves what she does and her patients. You won’t regret that you came to see her and her staff! You’ll only regret that you didn’t find her sooner!
