Great vets and staff here. We always feel welcome and the fur-balls are always happy to be there.

I have been going to Sturgis Surgical
Center for years. Jason Mez has been amazing and we feel it’s important that a vet knows your horses an I’ve had some great results and some unfortunate which are by no means anyone’s fault.

Took my cat in. Very helpful and friendly staff.
That was 6 years ago.
Jump to today, these guys are still the most helpful and friendly people. And caring, and patient, and you can tell everyone there is very passionate about what they do. Have brought all my cats in for everything from checkups to a worse case scenario.

People here are so helpful. They took care of my Frankie like he was one of the family. Highly recommend them.

Wonderful staff, very fair pricing and they saved my colts life. Very easy to work with and kind as well.

The location is easy to access for interstate. The staff from start to finish was amazing! They truly care, not only about the animal but the whole family. That's how we feel about our cridders, their part of our family. The staff spotted this and kept us informed and involved during all of their care.

Oliver and Randy always receive the best care. The staff is easy to understand and it is obvious they love what they do!

Our pup was experiencing urinary issues and they were able to get her in same day and prescribe meds to get her on the road to recovery! Awesome customer service!

Traveling from Alaska our horse became critically ill-he honestly would not have lived had we not found Sturgis Vet Hospital-care is excellent, the team works together with professionalism and empathy for both animal and owners. As good as it gets

I called Friday morning for a case that wasn’t life or death, but was an emergency. I have a 3 hour drive, and they were able to squeeze me in. Although Dr Mez already had a full day booked, he took the time to thoroughly examine my horse, found the cause and (as always) was friendly and patient in explaining the diagnosis, treatment and expected recovery time. The thing I appreciate most about Dr Mez is that he always treats me and my horses like we are the only thing he has to do today. He’s efficient, but never makes it feel like he’s rushing.

Went to get coffins test. Tech and vet got blood everywhere on both horses. Also they fire vet's or quote let me go so they don't have to answer questions. When you want to get deeper into a problem they curl up unprofessionally and refused to answer. The old doctor left and now just dimwits run it. It's not what it used to be. Beware don't go there. You also have to pull teeth to get your records. Shady

I love the vets, techs and the staff! They are always friendly, understanding and caring for the animals. They take great care of my animals and I have many! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

This vet takes the time to look into what your pets need! They are very personable and care about you and your pets. I recently had them look at my two dogs (Alaskan Malamute, sisters) and had them run some tests, due to some issues they were having. This vet made some suggestions for us to improve the quality of health/life for our dogs and they are working. So thankful that they took the time and care! Blessing!

So pleased with the care my little Annie received! The staff was sooo kind and sooo good with my Annie!

Always a pleasure to bring our horses to Dr. Ismay. He is a true professional and cares about the animals he treats!

This place is down right the best place in Sturgis to take your loved pets. The other vet in town was sooo rude! These people made me feel so warm and inviting while I had to put my fur baby down. Come here for all your vet needs if your in the area. I'm in rapid and they took care of me just fine.

We were traveling through and needed to bring our dog in to have something looked at. They got us in same day and took care of him like they would their own. Very good service and super folks all around.

Dr. Ismay and crew were amazing. I could not believe how much personal attention Chico was given. Other than the diagnosis, I cannot think of a thing that could have been better. OK, maybe if the bill was smaller, HAHA.

My Horses have always had Great care here.and I'm pretty picky when it comes to their well being and care!:)

This was our second dog operation there with Dr. John Isaacs. We are extreemly satisified and plan on continuing using their hospital as well as going to their equine facility plus we bought some excellent hay from dr john

Recently had our mule's eye removed. Dr. Janke. Dr. Mez and Kaitlynn were all very helpful. Fees were reasonable. After care instructions were great. We had one question the next day. That was answered in one phone call. Ninja is doing fine. Thank you!

It would be difficult to improve on a veterinarian and 2 techs spending about an hour with my horse and me. I wish my own health care professionals were as concerned about me as the vets and staff are about my horse)
