First National Pawn

Bought an item, dude says can return within 24hrs, less than 24hrs I'm back item receipt got it all, same guy is telling me he can't do anything about it.and remembers me! If you don't warranty then say that, but don't treat me like a sucker. Your the clown for not knowing your policy so don't be upset with me, ok?

Sold a watch with a broken latch and then wouldn't return it cause I didn't bring it back within 24 hrs. Battery was also dead in the watch. Guess half my fault for sending my friend to buy for me.

Very negative experience I bought a Nintendo Switch light and it didn't come with the official nintendo charging cord so I went to the front counter to inquire about it. I told him that I would prefer a Nintendo branded cable as they have a 56K OHM resistor in them and it has been shown using third party/phone grade chargers that don't meat the specifications can and will eventually brick your console. He dismissed my genuine concerns with the monkey brain response "It's a USB-C cord all of them work it should be fine". I have owned several Nintendo Switches from various revisions and know a lot more about modifying and repairing consoles then most people but I guess random pawn broker guy knows then me.

Came in to get some money after losing my debit card, needed to make it thru until my new one arrived. Jason was awesome helped me out and it was quick and simple

My girlfriend went there within the 10 day grace period and and they made her pay more than what was given to her when she got the loan

The company was a great place to work for until the new management came in. They changed the bonus system they say to help us but in the meantime it has hurt us very badly. I worked with a great crew back then. Now there crew is something else. They say you have a high turn over rate because of management. We had training and other things. And our boss was amazing. After 4 years of working there I had only recieved one raise even being one of the top performers every month. They new manager does hit care about their employees. Even display wise. The whole place has gone under and I feel bad that it isn’t going to last long. Not only are the new employees not educated on the history of the company they have no training now. One employee stated that it was under a new company recently bought out from being a family owned place to corporate and yet the company he said they were under management now is the company that took over about 5-6 years ago.

Place is a complete rip off. They lowball the hell out of you to where it's insulting and the manager was a complete a******.

Wow, had good service in the past but after today's experience not sure about making a purchase from here again. Tried to return something got told I couldn't because I didn't purchase a plan. (That costs as much as item) and to do a loan, offered not even half of what I purchased items for.

But that's okay.another shop in town took care of us and gave us more $.

Regardless.

Until some attitudes change, take your money and items somewhere else.

So disappointed after making a big purchase there not to long ago. They are willing to lose a customer over so little money.

Great all in all. Only complaint would be getting low-balled couple x, but @ least got something when completely denied elsewhere

This Pawn shop will steal your items. I been bringing a Nintendo 64 console and Controller. Worked every time. I go to loan again. And I don't work. Then we find a Nintendo 64 red expansion pack we never had. So they switched working Nintendo 64. For a bad one. Every time I brought in everyone working there would say nice 64. Now alot of new faces. They are thieves. 6 times I loaned it. Now it dont work. PICTURE YOUR itemsOR THEY WILL STEAL IT.

I was just in there and the girl said she would be back and she didn’t come so I went back up front and she told this other guy what I wanted so he just ignored me and decided to wait on someone else How rude poor service

Worst experience I have ever had when dealing with firearms. I would never buy a firearm from them little to zero knowledge about firearms. Horrible customer service by the manager to match.

I know 3 people that these guys have stolen from now don’t pawn things there if you do take pictures and make sure the item there giving you is the exact same one you gave them. PLEASE PHOTO YOUR ITEMS BEFORE BRINING THEM THERE

Don't waste your time trying to deal with this outfit to bad the rating stars don't go to the negative. Say like about -500 stars that's what it's about due. I'll never enter again! Crooks

Place is terrible literally came in twice to buy something and employees act as if your invisible. 0 stars to be honest.

Called to ask if they had a Xbox elite controller in stock. They first person to answer told me that he thought they had a few and would look. I got put on hold so the guy could finish helping a costumer and go look. After about 10 mins a lady got on the phone and asked what I called for. I told her what I was looking for and she instantly told me no they don’t have any. So I went in to look for myself and literally watched them sell it to a customer. I’ve never had a problem with this place and it’s always been great service. Just wish she would’ve looked first and not just tell me no

The staff is very helpful, easy to understand, good rates, they put the customer first in my experience, love this shop

They have mostly tools, musical equipment, but a good variety of everything else you need. Very reasonable on prices.

I been coming here for a few years now. When pawning I get pretty mu h top dollar. When I have purchased, I have always gotten good products that last, except once on a electronic, it had a buzzing sound. Brought it back and received another just like it. Employees are pleasant. Only complaint I have is wait time to get a rep.to help because they are so busy. I rate them 4.5 stars out of 5

For a pawn shop, I always go here first. It's the staff that keeps it that way. They are always friendly. Always fair about what we are dealing with. They always have information on what they have.

The lady that helped me was very nice and she gave me a good prize on a laptop thank you I will always come back the ur pawn shop

Living an hour away, I had messaged them regarding estimates for items I wanted to sell. They replied instantly and gave me great ballpark numbers and my experience once I arrived was overwhelming. I could spend hours in the store browsing through all of their inventory. It was my first time going to a pawn shop, and I would recommend FNP in Sioux Falls to anyone.

If you need a loan this is by far the fastest and easiest way to get the money you need. No haggle, everything is up front and in writing. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I told them I needed a million bucks, their offer was far less than that million, but it was fair!

Just moved here from Wisconsin. What a difference they gave me 50 bucks more then my old pawn shop gave for a pawn. Plus John even tried to see if he could get a game working for me on my lab top that I didint even get there. Fantastic customer service from John and chalis

Everybody there is really nice. They made genuine effort to give me as much as they could on my pawn loan, and they were sympathetic to the fact that no one wants to be in a pawn shop doing a loan

I must say that the most friendly staff and service makes buying, selling and or pawning a easy sensible choice.

Zero return policy on any electronics. Mine as well play a gamble for cheaper on Marketplace. Bought an amplifier, and it was not working so I brought it back. No refunds, and no exchange. This company lost my business for good. They use to be good, and would make right on defective electronics; that was then, and this is their policy now. They do not make you aware of this policy when you make a purchase. Other shops will have a 15 day return, and I highly suggest going elsewhere.

I am sorry to write this review, as over the past 2 years, I'd always had remarkably great experiences here. My visit yesterday was a huge disappointment. When looking at jewelry, I had to ask the 3 people working and gathered together by the register, chatting - if they could help me. Then I felt hurried and a bother to then when I asked questions about the items I looked at. When I asked about having my diamond ring prongs repaired, as I've had then do before, I was shuffled around and they never even took the ring to send to repair! What? Blew me off. Very rude and dismissive. Prices seemed higher than usual, particularly weed wackers. The place was not busy at all and the 3 young workers werent anyone I knew from the last couple of years.
Sad. I wanted to buy a diamond ring and I wanted to tighten a diamond ring I had and I accomplished nothing but a bad experience, overall.

I've been going to first national pawn since I first moved to Sioux falls SD in April 2019 I have pawn things and with a week or 2 i take them out now it's like going to borrow money from a friend or a family member no problem and I have always been shown the best hospitality from all staff and respected everytime I've visited for a loan and I've never pawned anything in my 51 years of life but I'm proud that I found my first experience at first national pawn I don't and won't go anywhere else.

As long as you always paying off your loan on time then you build up a good reputation with them so they give you more. Really fair loan prices for lots of stuff. Perfect place for a short term loan.

Jennie is an Awwmazing Sales Asso iate. She was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The entire staff is always so polite and fun loving. This store always has what I need and am looking for.

Changing to a more retail environment, higher prices, stricter management that is hard to deal with. Tries to undercut you at the counter when you pawn and quadruple the price of it when it comes out for sale. Used to be the best in town, not anymore

These guys are always very helpful Jessica is the bomb I love come shopping here for things that I really need today my experience was to help my son and his fiance choose their wedding set which was put on layaway at a very good price

Go to Great Plains the new staff is not as helpful they won’t budge on prices like they use to. Won’t be coming in as much because clearly was a change in owners or something new staff very strict. Some of the stuff can get brand new in store for not much more money at all.

My go to place! Sean is definitely the most helpful, friendly, and above and beyond staff member there. Even with all the Covid stuff going on they have proven to be level headed, and fluid functioning. And they give you an optional 6 months warranty!? !? !? !? There are no reasons to say anything bad about this place

I had an issue with a chain saw I bought. I bought the protection plan with it. I brought it in and they verified it was broken. They didn’t have another 18” chain saw, so Sean was nice enough to swap the chain and the bar onto the new one I got (I had just bought two new chains for it). I didn’t have to ask or anything - he just did it. Awesome customer service and great attitudes, even through a pandemic. Props to Sean.

My buddy don’t like this store because they won’t give him money back when exchange for tv like sample 299 then 264.00 then they won’t give him back money left that’s bs

Tried to under price an item I came in with to sell. Proceeded to tell me how much it was going for and then only offered me half of that. Seriously, do they think people don't research their items before they bring them in?

Their offer was rather insulting, and when I said that was too low they opt to push me aside and help the next person. Never really looked around, not interested in ever going back.

This place is awesome, you are greeted when walking through the door. Prices are very good. I bought 2 250 GB ps3 consoles and both were defective. I brought them back with a receipt and exchanged them for 500GB consoles and some games free of charge. If you want someone to take care of you these guys will

Thanks for letting us stand there for over half an hour and not even acknowledging our existence. I understand that the environment is a little ghetto but your employees don’t have act it too. It literally takes a second to say “I’ll be with you in just a minute”. Eye contact and ZERO words. We’ve bought a few things there BUT we will NEVER be back. Complete garbage You weren’t even busy.

Slow service with 3 workers there. As they totally missed us and kept helping customers that came in after us. Once helped was not bad.

Poor customer service. I was rudely greeted by Dan. Skipped over multiple times to help other customers by multiple Employees. Took 20min to look at what I wanted to see.
That took 5 sec.to look at
I actually wanted to buy it but after thinking about it. I don't need to spend my money here!

Excellent customer service everytime I visit or purchase! As is the nature of a pawn shop quality of inventory can fluctuate, but they seem to test everything for function before sale and will note any issues with the product.

Its been a long time since I been in here. Every once and awhile you can find something quite nice for a price you can tell they didnt know the true value of it.

Super friendly sales guy who knew more than I did about my favorite speaker I pawn so I can party harder with life
